Did business with LensCrafters since my start of wearing glasses 2015. My insurance pays for a free eye exam every single year. However, LensCrafters now as a mandatory retinal scan requirement that one cannot opt out. A $38 charge. America's Best does not and I will get my free exam there instead. Came in looking to get sunglasses and was stonewalled and gaslit by the gentleman "assisting" me. He told me about a promotion for 40% off which got me immediately interested in buying then and there. I was interested in the Meta Ray-Ban's but he said those were sold out. I motioned towards one of the 5 loose ones they had on display and he said those were display only and not for sale, they were sold out, and you cant get them anywhere, not there, not online, not at any of their other locations. I quickly checked online and saw them in stock on Lenscrafters, was insisted that the website and myself were wrong, and I couldn't get them. I folded, ok, you don't want me to buy these, whatever. I pick a different pair and asked if he could quote me the price after the discount. He asked for my prescription, and told it to him and he said that I needed a printout signed by my doctor. No problem, told him to just look it up as I had gotten it at another Lenscrafters location, simple right? Nope, wrong again. I tried calling that location and they couldn't get my prescription because the doctors office was closed..... Which in my opinion is insane. So he wouldn't give me a price, because I cant "provide" a prescription, despite knowing it, and despite having gotten it at a Lenscrafters. I gave up at this point and just left. It's ok though, this 1 star review is specifically for this location and that employee. Because as soon as I got home guess what? I was able to go online to Lenscrafters.com, select the Meta Ray-Ban's that I wanted, plug in my prescription and hit that order button. They'll arrive in two weeks. 1 star Today I went to Lenscrafters ( Northlake location) for a routine eye exam. I have been going there for the last 4 years and no complains. My appointment was at 10.10. I checked in with the desk lady at 9.55. At 10.50 I was still waiting to be called in. When I walked up to a different desk clerk to check, she talked to the lady who had supposedly checked me in. And I could see her eyes roll. That told me she forgot to check me in, and never wondered why I was sitting around. They tell me sorry, will call you soon. I told her if I am not called in 15 mins. cancel my appointment. They couldn't ,so I walked out and I never going back. Sad to see such screw ups. Start looking for another eye place! read more

The manager is running this store into the ground and corporate is allowing them to do it. They do not honor their advertised promotions. Kroger does a better job at honoring prices than LensCraters. On the Lenox mall LensCrafters website their is a designer sale. When I went to the store to take part in the sale, the Manager refused stating that this was a "luxury" location. The manager was very condescending and refused to honor the sale that is clearly listed on this store's site. I called corporate and they were also perplexed by the store's reasoning. However, corporate claims their hands are tied. I originally went to LensCrafters to get same day frames and now this throws a wrench in my plans. I will not be returning to this location. Paying full price for an item that should be on sale is not a sign of "luxury" but stupidity. read more

Brought in a pair of new Tiffany frames and asked if they could help swapping out the lenses from an older identical Tiffany frames. The really tall lanky staff said not a problem. He took both away to the back of the store. From afar I was watching.. I was wondering why couldn't he just changed those lenses out at those tables at the front of the store/in front of me. This is not the first time I got lenses swapped from an older frame to a newer one. Then it seemed there was a problem. I saw him approached another staff with one of the glasses in the middle of swapping out the lenses. The female staff was actually with another customer. She then took the frames from him and went on to do something with the glasses. She did not seemed too happy. Let me say my heart sank. I had a bad feeling. After like eons, he came back. He returned both frames, with the new frame with lenses. Immediately I spotted a chip on the edge of one of the lenses. I told the staff about that chip. He said the only thing he did was to swap the lenses from one frame to another. Right!! I know he lied. But it just his words against mine. I would not want to make a scene, but I would let everyone I know about this incident. If anyone asked if I am still mad, sure!! Not because I have to spend money to get it replaced, but more of I dislike to be lied to and trying to take me for a fool. So for anyone who wants to handover a frame or a pair of glasses to any staff at LensCrafters or any optical store for any work done, I suggest taking a picture of it. read more

We just happened to be at Lenox and of course it was packed so we ended up parking at the very bottom of the parking deck near macys and stopped in her for my mom to look at some frames and to get pricing for a pair. She'd gotten her prescription somewhere else. It ended up being over $300 for the frames and the prescription. Her prescriptions includes going from a bifocal line to a non bifocal line and transition lenses My mom has medicare an no other insurance so Im thankful to have been have to get someone to treat mom to them, and wonder how a retired person is suppose to pay $300 for some glasses. We went a total of four times before finally deciding on a pair, getting the order placed and picking up and each time the staff was attentive and made mom feel like a valued customer. We've gone back for an adjustment since she got them about 3 months ago and found the staff again to be helpful and attentive. read more

Sadly lost my beloved Tom Ford eyewear. In need of glasses right away. I Decided to go to LensCrafters because they are close to where I work. Got an appointment the very next day and the experience was awesome. Warmly greeted when I arrived and immediately escorted back to the optometrist area. After check in I waited 5-8 mins and was escorted back for the various eye tests. Shortly after that, I was taken back to wait for the doctor. Dr. Lam was kind warm and informative. I was given my prescription right away though I'm still waiting for the email version and been a few hours since I left the store. Optimistic it will still come. read more

In July 2017, I was examined and fitted for rimless-frame glasses. In response to my concerns about their fragility, the sales associate told me, "These won't break...You can't break these." As she spoke she twisted the frames to demonstrate how durable they were. I bought the glasses and used them sparingly because I still wore two pairs that I already owned. In early August 2018, the frames got twisted and broke away from the lens at its connection point. When I took them to the store an associate took them for repair. Later that day, I got a call from the repair person saying they could not be repaired. Each one of those associates asked if I had the insurance to cover repair/replacement, which I did not. Why must we buy insurance to cover products that use minimal materials but cost a few hundred bucks? At that price, can't we expect quality beyond 12 months of infrequent use? And what about the misrepresentation of the sales associate? Lens Crafters offered me nothing, not even a discount for a replacement pair. If I had known of their business character before buying, I would not be writing this review now...because I would never have purchased from them! Now you know. read more

Long story short. LensCrafters was a pretty great glasses brand, I believed, until I realized the one in Lenox Mall was the most disappointing and time-wasting and belied its fame. I ordered my glasses 16 days ago and on the day of purchase they told me that the glasses should be ready 10 days later. I visited their store 5 days ago to ask the reason why my glasses were not ready. They called their lab and told me that something wrong with the glasses frame or lenses. Well, it was fine. Technical diffculites. They said the latest day I could get the glasses should be today. I called them yesterday and they disregarded my first phone call and hung my second call. My third call was finally picked up. I was told that my glasses would be ready next Monday. Now their words I could not take for granted. Their doctors were awesome. This is the worst glasses store I've ever been to. I used to frequent this store because of proximity. Now I will drive the extra 30 to 45 minutes to go somewhere else. Here is my list of complaints 1) My glasses have been broken twice when I ask for adjustments. And I purchased my glasses from them. Shouldn't you know how to at least adjust the glasses you're selling? Isn't that one of the most basic core functions of a lenscrafters? 2) Each time I go in for an adjustment, if I'm lucky enough for them not to break my glasses, the adjustment ends up horrible. There are two ways I like to see if glasses are adjusted well. One is if it fits well on my face, the other is if the glasses look symmetrical as most people's faces are relatively symmetrical. Well, at this lenscrafters I am literally annoyed beyond belief EVERY time I try to get my glasses adjusted. My glasses almost NEVER feel adjusted correctly no matter how much I try to explain how they should adjust them. Furthermore, my glasses look so uneven, unbalanced, and bent out of shape. And it's not just one sales associate, I've had multiple staff members adjust my glasses on multiple occasions and only once was a satisfied (I would say I've been in at least 15 times). 3) When they broke my glasses, I ordered a replacement pair because I purchased their glasses warranty. I waited over a month. Nothing. So I go back to the store and explain my situation. I wait for the sales associate to take 30 minutes to tell me "sometimes it takes a while." I complain some more and press on, after which the sales associate looks more carefully and tells me the retailer no longer makes the glasses. If I didn't press and dedicate 40 minutes of my life to personally dig into why my glasses didn't show up God knows how long I would've waited before they notified me. Why am I, the consumer, responsible for providing myself with customer service? If there is any other plausible alternative glasses retail/vision store I would recommend you go to that one and not this lenscrafters. read more

I must say I was very surprised and beyond satisfied with my experience at this Lenscrafters. I wasn't going in with alot of confidence based on the reviews I read on goggle prior to my appointment, however they had an open slot for an eye exam and my son needed to be examined before school started. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a gentleman working in the front. I informed him we had an appointment but was very early, he instructed us we could check-in and browse around until the Dr. was ready. The technician that preformed the 1st set of exams was nice and patient as this was his 1st exam so it was a little daunting. The Dr. again was nice, patient, and thorough I like that we didn't feel rushed through the process. She explained everything in detail. However the one employee that really stands out was Taleah she was beyond your "I'm just here to do a job demeanor". She explained the type of lens that my son would be wearing and what to expect when he starts to wear them. Even though I was standing there she actually explained this to him and not me, which I respect so much. As he's the one wearing the glasses not me. Her personality was very customer friendly something that's hard to find these days. I'm definitely glad I decided to give them a try, it was worth it. Good and OK. The optometrist at location was great. But when I asked them to send my prescription they only sent the computer one, and not primary. This caused me some problems, which I won't detail. I lost my glasses after a week. :-( I was hoping for more of a discount on 2nd pair. No work required for them other than just reorder. Pretty pricey. They had a lot of choices and the sales associate I had was really helpful. Glasses are new to me so I needed help. I wish I could give a 3.5, but can't quite go for a four. read more

I should've listened to the reviews. Dr. Zuniga was great- I had my appointment done in less than 30 minutes, and my new frames picked out and ready mere minutes after. I then sat for 2 1/2 hours trying to get my damned glasses to be made! They directed me to a new girl with no passwords for their ridiculous system that seems to require a special password every three minutes that one of the other two people working had to come over and put in between helping the other clients. Everyone that worked there was nice, but this poor girl had no business working the floor without a way to easily use the system. I was told it would be no sweat to walk out with glasses in hand as I had to catch a flight the next day but that didn't happen. I had to scramble my behind back over to the store the next day. Then they couldn't find my glasses for 20 minutes. Yep. Definitely won't come back to this store when I decide to get my eyes peeped at again in oh, ten years. I had my first appointment since moving here from Chicago with Dr. Zuniga at Peachtree Eye Associates. She is great. She actually listens and is really nice, very professional. If I were only reviewing Lenscrafters and not Peachtree Eye Associates, I would straight-up give this place two stars. We came to this Lenscrafters because it is in the Lenox Mall, and I made what we might kindly call an "assumption" about the kind of Lenscrafters would be at the Lenox Mall. I was so wrong. The location is terrible. It is located on the ground floor on the outside of the least trafficked part of the mall, across from one of the parking garages. It also has a terrible and small selection. It didn't take long for us to give up and go to another Lenscrafters. Dr. Zuniga saves this place, though. If she had an independent practice, I would give her five stars. She is so great. She doesn't demand I order contacts right away, but told me to wait a week and then call in the order. Her office also made me an appointment for the following year. That is awesome. I'm coming back to her even if the location is terrible. read more

The service is just awful. I picked my frames and faxed my prescription. I just had to call to pay and then they would make them ready. I called two times and the person at the other side said she is busy and can't process my order. And I did not get a call back! So I called for the third time and finally my order was processed! Unfortunately, it's not the end of story. I went to store to pick them up. I put them on and I was like they can't be true and of course she making a comment that my eyes have to adjust! I resisted and after checking the order, found out it's the wrong lenses! Anyway, had to wait for like 1 and quarter hour for them to fix the problem. I chose to go to this Lenscrafters instead of another optometrist because of the terrible reviews they had. Well I wish I'd gone to the other doctor. When I arrived at the office I was greeted by the girls at the front and I proceed to sit down and wait patiently for my appointment. After 45 minutes I was quite frustrated and the woman that had arrived in front of me had not been seen yet either. Neither of the girls at the desk offered any information during the time we waited. At numerous points they went to the back (presumably to check on whatever was going on) then they would come back to the desk and whisper to each other behind their hands, which is extremely unprofessional. Finally after an hour I asked for them to give me a call when the doctor was ready and went to get an ice cream. Also the location is very difficult to find using the maps at the mall since it is actually outside. Never getting my business again. read more

Then insist on having me try on the contact lenses in the store when I usually just pick them up. Dropped one and they made me pay to reorder the lens. I couldn't believe it. What a rip-off. I've been going. To lens crafters for 20 years. I've been able to stop In any lens crafters no matter what city I'm in and grab a temp pair of contacts if I loose one no matter where. THIS lens crafters is "independent owned". I was told 4 times in a row So they are not helpful nor are they willing to help. Which is beyond fusterating when you have one contact and a head ache! I was traveling for work when I decided that I wanted a new pair of glasses as a back up. I popped into this Lenscrafters because I knew they would have my Rx on file from California. As soon as I entered the shop, I was greeted by Brian. He asked how he could help and I told him I just wanted to browse. He told me to help myself and left me to look around. At some point, I obviously looked puzzled, so Brian came over to ask how I was doing. I was looking for a particular shape of frame, but it's easy to skim right over the very thing you are looking for when there are so many frames. I had found something I sort of liked, but I wanted a brown instead of the black frames I had in my hand. Brian went to the computer to check and see if the frames came in any other color, and reported back that they should have some in brown. Silly me .. I said .. so the brown would look kind of like these? As I picked a pair of glasses off the display. Brian said, 'exactly like those - those are the brown ones!' .. D'oh! At that point, Brian called over Nikki to finish up with me and get my glasses ordered. I was sad to bid adieu to my new friend Brian, he had been so much fun. Nikki, however, is a blast! Funny and adorable, she went through all the options with me, did measurements, and confirmed by home address and shipping information in case the glasses didn't come in before I had to leave town in a few days. (Progressive lenses with weren't something I expected to be able to have in 1-hour, so this was not a shock to me.) After settling the bill (thank goodness for the 50% off sale!), I continued about my day. Several hours later I realized I didn't ask for transition lenses (the kind that get dark in sunlight). I called the shop and spoke to Nikki. She was able to reconfigure the order, told me the new total over the phone, but asked me to come in to sign the receipt to make sure it was all on the up-and-up. Luckily, I didn't have to come in that day, just sometime before I left town, or picked up the glasses .. whichever was first. A couple of days later I returned to sign the slip. Nikki wasn't in, but my bestest buddy Brian was. I gave him a hard time, signed my receipt, and I was on my way. Sadly, the call to pick up the glasses came as I was at the airport waiting to board my plane. I asked for them to be shipped to me in California .. which they were .. and they arrived a few days later. No additional charge for shipping. All in all, a great Lenscrafters experience. read more

Absolutely the worst retail experience of any kind that I have had in years. Long story short, the doctors office validates my insurance; gets an approval number; takes my payment; and performs the exam. Then the doctors office realizes they had processed me under a previous employer and informs me they do not accept my current coverage (which is valid and up to date). At this point , the exam is complete and they will not give me the prescription unless I pay the rest in cash. Remember they have already done the work. All they need to do is say...."we made a mistake. we are sorry. here is your prescription". Instead they try to extort me out of a trivial (in the big picture) amount of money. I had a friends and family coupon for Lenscrafters, so I went to this location looking for eyeglasses/sunglasses. It seems I was blown off because I was friends and family, as one female employee completely ignored me and was rude when I asked to lay my jacket down on an empty chair. Another male employee was more interactive, but soon left me with purchase in hand to disappear in the back for another customer. After walking around the store in circles for 10 minutes hoping someone, ANYONE would reach out and offer to take my money, I put the sunglasses I wanted back ($300) and went to the Macy's Sunglass Hut. The man working there was great and apologized for LensCrafter's bad service. read more
