Just pass this place by. Made an appointment at the counter gave the snippy lady at the counter my insurance card. Was told they could get me in tomorrow or I would be a walk in today? Can you get me in today? No you would be a walk in. Ok whatever must be having a stupid day. Booked for tomorrow then was told my portion is 79.00 for the exam. What? we have a new provider but that is like a 50 dollar jump from what I'm use to paying. That is with my insurance. So I leave turn around snippy lady gone I cancel my appointment decide some investigating needs to be done. Following day I call eyemed our provider copay for exam is 15.00 what the heck? was the appointment for contacts they ask. No it was not I made it clear I just wanted a standard eyeglass exam. So if the appointment is 79.00 I'm sure the price of my glasses will be 400. I did tell eyemed they quoted me 79.00 and filed a formal complaint with them. Also as I was scanning the lol lol 5 star reviews beware yelpers these ratings have been written by people who have only ever done 1 review. Really? I find the 5 star reviews of LensCrafters a bit suspect. read more

This company broke their HIPAA Privacy law, also did not follow the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act. A doctors office provided the unnecessary paperwork that Lens Crafters asked for, still getting no prescriptions faxed back to them. I will never be back. I have been coming here for 3 years straight. Never had a problem. Now, I am up for my 4th yearly exam and was scheduled for 9/24 but called to rescheduled for 9/10. They had availability at 10:45am and they booked me I took a day off today to do all this and here I am thinking I have an appointment today but nope someone made a mistake and put my appointment to 9/11/19. Just got a pair of glasses here and I loved the whole experience. At this location, it doesn't even feel like you are walking into some nerdy eyeglass store, it feels like you are picking out some kind of designer accessory! I've never seen an eyeglass store set up in such a way....even the lenscrafters store across town doesn't compare.I got a very nice pair of Vogue brand glasses, and i think that fitting device they use to make your glasses/lenses realy does help make them better because my vision is very sharp sicne getting my new glasses. The staff here is very helpful and helped work with me to pick the other features on my glasses such as transistions lenses that would fit within my budget. But even if the glasses were out of my budget, they have their own credit card i could i have used and made payments on. The only reason why i didn't give five stars is because i had to wait almost two weeks to get my new glasses. It's worth it for the quality work, but wish i could've had them a little sooner. read more

I don't have words for how terrible this place is. I called prior to setting the appointment and verified they took my insurance. Upon confirmation, I set my appointment for the next week. I set my appointment for 11:30 and even called the day prior to give them the details of my insurance information. I show up the day of appointment at 11:30 and proceed to wait 20 minutes to being called back for tech. So far not so bad. Do the initial tests, then get placed back in the front...for another twenty minutes. Finally 45 minutes after my initial appt time, I am called back to the Dr's room. Another twenty minutes of waiting and he comes in...only to tell me that he doesn't take my type of insurance. They need to get it together administratively. I checked TWICE and yet they still messed this up. I waited an hour and a 15 minutes just to be told they messed up. and now I still have to get my prescription filled. don't waste your time here. read more

I understand that since covid happened, I'm pretty sure, they keep a certain time limit for interaction. The person who assisted me was great. She wiped everything before my face touched anything. With the doctor, it was fine, too. My daughter on the other hand, had an awful experience. Different assistant. She asked a question and the assistant replied ' yeh, whatever'. Then my daughter had to take off her contacts, usually they have the thing ready and clean, my daughter almost put her contacts on a used container!!!! What happened? We have been going here and the service has gone down so badly. Then when I was trying to explain to the sales person that I could't find the right frame, but I saw the design or color I wanted, she walked away from me, and I was still talking by the way, she handed me back the paper, and I was still talking, gosh I should have just stopped. I was trying soooo hard to tell her I was coming back with the frame so they can put my prescription in. Well not anymore!!!!!! All you care here is to have a sale and your prices are ridiculously high!!!!!! read more

I asked a simple yes/no question where the intake person went into some long explanation and attempted to terrify my 6yr old in a blatant attempt to collect money from me for unnecessary tests. They administered a test and all but said my exceptionally bright child was "just being difficult" again attempting to scare her so that I would agree to spend unnecessary money. Flat out told me that a test was medically unnecessary and administered it anyway, I'm sure so that they could collect from my insurance for the procedure. Even after I told them to ask my child, the patient, for the answers to their questions they directed ALL of them to me which is disrespectful. The doctor was the only highlight. He was polite and courteous, asked her questions directly and only nodding for affirmation towards myself. Then the sales person he handed me off to was just as bad as the office personnel, and then some. She handed my daughter the most expensive pair of frames and when my daughter liked a different pair she told her all the reasons why she didn't want them, handing her back the expensive pair and forcing them on her making my daughter respond with "if I have to have these ones," which made the sales lady happy. She added all these unnecessary options to the already inflated cost of the lenses. She even went as far as to lead my child into saying "yes we use computers at school," which isn't really true like it was when they were doing distance learning. The cherry on the top was when she refused to give me a breakdown of what each of these extras were costing me. Instead she gave me one cost for the frames and another for the lenses. I'm not a chump that's about to pay over $100 out of pocket, so I called ClearVision who were able to get her glasses for $0 cost to me, and broke the pricing down, where I was happy to pay a $25 charge for better lenses and frames. I even ordered 4 extra pairs from Zenni with every extra they had (blue light blocking, UV coating, shatter proof, I even got her name engraved on the ) that together ended up costing me less than a single pair from LensCrafters. It's unfortunate that such a polite doctor works with such ignorant thieves. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!!!! The tried 3 times to get my wife's prescription right. 3.5 hours wait the 1st time, 2nd time 2 hrs wait 3 rd time 45 min. Then when she paid for the services, they charged her card twice. She called them to get the second charge taken off and the money retuned, she was informed that the matter would sent to another department. So they can take extra money out of your account in a instant, and ( when they are caught) they will take extra time to give it back. Extremely poor customer service. The people that work there are undertrained, and more concerned about there cell phones and going to break than taking care of business !!! read more

I popped in to have my glasses adjusted and check if I had scratch protection, I got my glasses fixed, my daughters glasses adjusted, and ordered glasses for my sons glasses too! Visited the store to see I could get the part. Unfortunately not. The eye doctor. The 2 assistants and the 2 receptionists who check you in for the actual appointments actually deserve 5 stars! Very very good customer service! I am giving 2 stars mainly because I had to wait for someone to assist me in actually getting my glasses all the staff were busy with someone which wasn't the problem. The problem was that after they all took care of the other customers they were just standing around talkin to one another. I assumed they were still doing something that had to do with the customers. But after 15 minutes of no one asking if we needed anything one of the ladies who was on the phone saw we were turning our heads around and then asked if we needed help. So we finally got the help. But I haven't needed to get glasses since 2 yrs ago. I always chose this place because of the same day pick up. She tells me they don't do that anymore. & really that's what bothered me the most! This was the best feature they had. So I am very disappointed. read more

LensCrafters is a big rip off! I went in last year to get glasses paid over $450 and it was my first time ever having glasses! The price is not the problem the problem lies that I always had headaches wearing my glasses and I did not seem to be able to see any better actually it made it worse so I went back to them with concerns that I think my prescription was wrong and they told me that there was no way I could be wrong and we would not fix the issue! So this time around I went to Their competitor around the corner and not only in the high doctor at that location tell me that I have a very mild prescription but also told me that there is no way that my eyes could have corrected that much in less than one year with my new prescription! So he basically told me that my prescription was wrong! Stay away from this place their way overpriced definitely do not use the eye doctors on site they are terrible read more

Dr great Staff Kelly Great Front desk one star ! Front staff won't give you a straight answer and WILL Not send the prescription you paid for, even though they were the were at fault. Only gave 3 stars because Dr E was great and the on Staff Kelly she was awesome. When checking out they wanted us to get glasses right away when I told them I was in a time crunch, they reprinted the orders with half the info gone. This I feel was not by accident but by design. In 18 months 3 exams, every time there is something wrong with the prescription you can't take it some place else to fill. Wasted half a Saturday, and this has happen 3 different (separate ) times so Yes good Dr. , but front office would not even tell me the cost, before sitting down with the doctor. I had to see pressure them to give me the exam cost just what insurance would pay, they did not want to answer me any information about cost or coverage . Just feel this is common at this location, NOT sure if anyone else has had this but in 18 months it taken 6 trips when it should have only been 3. Happy with the Dr but not so happy with front end staff, they are difficult, seem nice and all till you want to shop for your glasses. I thought it was funny that they reprinted the order and handed me that one and placed the other order in the shred stack. Anyway if you got time then great but if your busy with life, think again. First time contact lens users BEWARE!. Don't expect to see as good as having your glasses on and be ready to compromise on how good your vision can be. I was told this after I paid a special $209 first time contact fee for fitting me and all. Then the lady makes sure I know there is no refunds. I didn't ask for a refund. I asked why I wasn't given this compromise information before I paid $209. I wouldn't have proceeded if I knew I had to compromise. Bait and switch. That's how I feel I was treated. If I can't see the street sign what good are they. Why did I waste my time and money. Didn't receive a prescription so I could get a second opinion. Why is there an $85 special fee for contacts and I don't get my prescription. I've been a customer here for approximately 10 years. Wow. read more

I knew within 5 seconds of walking in for my scheduled appt I should've walked out. The first guy I encounter was rude. He sent me over to "her". She was overwhelmed helping 2 people at a time. When I called over a week ago to make the appt they told me to go online to fill out my paperwork. I did. This morning when they handed the stack of papers to fill out I told her I already filled out my paperwork online a week ago. "Oh, well, we can't find any of that." Oh, well, I guess you shouldn't tell people to fill it out online then because that takes time and everyone doesn't love to spend their time filling out paperwork 2 times. So then she tries to up sell me on every aspect of the exam. I've worn contacts for 20 years and have an exam yearly. I'm pretty sure I don't need the lesson on how to install my contacts. She wanted me to pay over $250 ON TOP of my 2 insurances!! But, she was going to cut me "a sweet deal on my contacts!" Give me a break! I walked out before the exam started. But like is said I should've followed my instincts and walked out as soon as I walked in! read more

Hisssss! Boooo! Bought a pair of glasses with all the coated hype and progressive lens parts. Less than two years they went bad and I was told they were out of warrantee. They really never worked well for me and even when I went back they said after the expired period they could not replace them. the folks I talk to are NOT optometrists or doctors and care less about you, your glasses, and what they cost. Want to for a victim of being RIPPED OFF go to LensCrafters. Check ANY other eye care service, notice they are ALL much much better! Dr. Kelli McLaughlin fitted my RGP's and could not have done a better job. She took the time to make sure I had the best fit and that my seeing ability was the best it could be. I have been waiting one month for my glasses. The first time they came in they were broken, I was told they would expedite the next pair. I still have not heard from them. I just called to talk to the manager and was told that he was in a meeting and that if I didn't hear from him today that I should call him back in the morning. This is the first time that I have purchased glasses from anywhere other than Costco. So far I am anything but impressed. I went to the Lens Crafters at the the Galleria Mall location on Saturday 8-27-16 and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and professional and there was no waiting. The exam was very thorough and Dr. Nakano answered all of my questions. They have a great technology for doing the exam so that they do not have to dilate your eyes, which is wonderful. They take a digital photo of your eye and they were able to see a spot on my retina that has gone undetected. Once my exam was complete I then went into the store to begin shopping for my new glasses. Jesse the associate that helped me made it so much fun to shop, I felt like I was shopping with a friend! He was honest about my selections and together we found the perfect pair of glasses and sun glasses. He never rushed me and explained all of the options about my new progressive lenses that I would be getting for the first time. Once my order was complete I was told it would take an hour and my glasses would be ready and they were done in 45 minutes! I am very impressed with the store, staff and services!
