My wife and I went to Vision-works located at 681 Mall Ring Circle in Henderson, Nevada. We saw Optometrist Dr. Jean Garcia at Signature Vision Care for our eye exams, she was friendly, knowledgeable, calm and patient. Vision works associate Vicki, was friendly, down to earth and she did not pressure us and gave us several options on brands of new eye glasses and she was very patient. Was here a few months ago and bought my sunglasses. It's been lose on my face and I came on a Saturday around 3:30pm and was helped. Not too many ppl. I signed in and was helped writhing a few minutes. She brought me to the "fitting" counter and then started to warm and bend my sunglasses a few times. A few adjustment and it fits so much better now. Thanks for the quick help. I was out within 10mins and my sunglasses fit better. read more

Great customer service when I came in expecting to buy a new frame because I'd broken mine. I had just gotten the glasses a few months ago and fell in my kitchen yesterday. My glasses snapped when my head smacked the floor. I ended up okay, thank God, but I was so sad about my new glasses. I knew I hadn't bought the insurance on them, so was expecting to pay for new frames. Lauren and Liz decided to bless me today! They don't know it, but I actually shed a few tears on my way out to the car to get my last bit of cash so I could make a physical gesture of thanks. I was that moved emotionally. (I had a little money in the bank, but no cash for a tip, except my last 20.) Many know that situation. Shout out to two humans who made a difference to others today! Not the worst experience but definitely agreed with a lot of the other reviews. I feel like the Dr. is very thorough and patient but the appointments aren't and the front desk ladies aren't. I understand though, they're trying their best to get the patients in but the doctor is taking her time with the patient to get everything done... It's a system that doesn't work in many cases but we loved the Doctor! The glasses side, very aggressive sales. I'm not sure how I feel about the experience as a whole but the Doctor was amazing, she's very thorough and does not allow a single mishap and will go over it with you over and over again. read more

Dr Garcia is wonderful. She's thorough and helpful. The 2 women she had working at front tonight are RUDE. One of them yells "come on" to the patients, even my teenage daughter, in such a snappy and unfriendly tone. The other woman looks like she could not care less to help you. I like the Dr but if you're coming in for an exam, make sure to give yourself plenty of time, especially as a new patient. I had an appt my first time but still waited 1+ hr before I was seen. I've been going to medical, vision, and dental appointments annually since I could remember and have never experienced this before at other offices. There is one particular staff at the front desk who has had a condescending tone with me both times. I had read the reviews before going in so I knew what to expect and didn't take it personally. She's not mean, her tone is just condescending at times. Today I overheard a patient kindly ask about her wait time because she was worried she wasn't going to make it to her next obligation in time (this was me two weeks ago). This same staff spoke over her. It's rude. I let the patient know I wasn't in a rush and let her go ahead of me. I really like the Dr. She has a calm demeanor and is easy to speak to. My daughter and I stopped in for my reading glass prescription to be filled and my daughter needed lenses for her new frames she purchased on the internet. Kyle was assigned to assist us. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I am glad he helped us. Vision Works has designer eyewear from many popular brands with affordable prices. The lenses can be pricey even with insurance. But it is an investment considering ones eyesight is precious. The store is neat, organized and clean. The employees are friendly and helpful. We were informed our glasses will be ready on October 8th (two weeks). We will definitely be repeat customers. I recommend Vision Works for your eye are needs. read more

Not so much for the Dr. but man the front desk staff to the Dr. are some of the most rude and miserable people I have ever had to interact with. Not only in person but on the phone. Speaks to you like you're dumb and a child and is constantly cutting you off. I had a really good experience with Dr. Jean Garcia here. After years and years of getting away with never needing contact lenses, the time finally came. I ordered my first pairs of contact lenses here. Dr. Garcia was extremely sweet and patient while teaching me how to put contact lenses on. It took me 2 separate visits and over an hour each of her time for me to finally get my contacts on. They were a bit busy and I was a bit out of it due to finals week at school and I regret not emphasizing my gratitude in person. So, here I am doing it online. Thank you so much! read more

The front desk staff is always soooo rude and short with you. No smiles, no friendly greetings. They're snappy to everyone and they make me want to leave, however the doctor is very kind and calm and Vicki that actually works with helping you with the glasses is the best. First off by saying the staff is rude at Dr. Garcia's.The one lady reminds me of someone that feels they are being put upon ,doing you a favor .Her phone etiquette was horrible the way she would talk down to you and scold you for making a mistake.I will be going back to clear vision for my eye exams for the last 5 years .But continue to get my eye wear from Visionworks.Even though there is no deductible for my exam here .I would rather pay the co-pay of $10.00 and get amazing customer service .At ClearVision .Apparently lots of people have complained and nothing has been done about it and she still works there . read more

Wow i didnt think it could get worse. Why is the staff so shitty here? Blatantly catty, rude, and unprofessional

I have always purchased my glasses and contacts at Walmart. My prescription has not changed in 21 years so I usually only get eye exams for contact purposes. I chose Visionworks because it is close to my home and my new insurance was taken there. My eye exam went great. I purchased contacts and two pairs of glasses. Since moving to Las Vegas my eyes are much drier and I thought I may be wearing glasses more than contacts. One of my pairs I have only worn one time because I can not get the fit right and they slide off my nose. My second pair I wear at night when I get home from work a couple nights a week and have worn outside of the house less than 5 times. I noticed a scratch on the bottom of my glasses. Since they are only 5 months old and I supposedly got these great lenses that are super scratch resistant I took them into Visionworks. I was told I need to purchase new lenses and they can't help me. They said I declined an extended warranty on my glasses. I was shocked as this is the first I have heard about a warranty. I purchase warranties for everything I buy if it is offered. My mother was with me and she does not recall that being offered either. How did I decline something that I never knew was an option!? So instead of paying $30.00 for new lenses with a warranty I am being asked to pay over $200 for a pair of new lenses...because you can't purchase just one lens. The manager was not helpful at all. I told her I had a pair of glasses from Walmart for 10 years and there is not one scratch on those lenses. She told me I am not comparing the same wear. She is right...the glasses I had for 10 years were worn much more and much longer periods of time than the glasses I had for 5 months. Clearly Walmart offers better quality lenses. That or Visionworks had me pay for lenses that were super scratch resistant and did not actually give me what I purchased. The manager just kept telling me companies have policies for a reason and she is unable to help me. I ran a company for 20 years and there are exceptions to every policy. My conclusion is one of two things. One, they bait and switch their customers having them pay more for scratch resistant lenses and not actually giving them that. Two, the quality of their products are completely inferior to other places. I don't deny I must have done something to cause a scratch but having worn those glasses only a handful of times and there being a scratch on them Visionworks should be able to help their customers find a satisfactory solution. I let my mom and best friend know about my experience and both canceled their appts at this location with Visionworks. My aunt and uncle were planning on going there after their trip overseas and they have decided not to make an appt based on my experience and inferior product. I would avoid Visionworks at all costs. Place use to be awesome. As of late it has gone down hill. Customer service is no longer existent but I'm sure they'll blame it on the pandemic. Man was in here asking for his glasses to be fixed and was explaining to the man that this was his second time bringing em in for the same repair. The worker gave him attitude over n over saying "sir I was NOT the one that fixed it last. I have been here 10 years I will fix it!." We're here picking up glasses and it took 14minutes. When my 5 year old had to use the restroom I asked the only person available to use the restroom and the receptionist next door rudely said ITS TO THE BACK TO THE LEFT . I have before me a pamphlet sent to me by Vision Works that states "unable to use your 2020 VSP Vision benefits? GET A PAIR OF GLASSES AT NO COST. REALLY. Choose any frame up to $150 + single vision or progressive polycarbonate lenses." I drove almost 2 hours and they confirmed this on the phone I would get free glasses. I spent an hour picking out the glasses. They twisted the words and on a $159.00 pair of glasses said it would be $189.00 and I would have to buy a second pair but that would only cost $20.00. WHAT??? HARRY POTTER TIME??? CROOKS. I called VSP and reported these rip off artists. FREE MEANS FREE NOT DOUBLE BUBBLE TALK. LIERS. They need to be turned in to The State of Nevada and shut down. I had an appointment today with Dr. Garcia. All I have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had. This Dr didn't even give me her name when I walked in. I didn't even hear one word from her throughout the whole appointment with her. She didn't even tell me what type of prescription she was giving me for my contacts. I have my eye check on this office but when it comes to picking up my new glasses is when the problem starts. I bought a frame for my sunglasses with reading prescription and another reading glasses using my one year old frame. Everything went okay not until I pick it up. One is ready but the regular reading glasses is not ready but they don't know what happened. Marylou is the only one who helped me and called that my frame broke and I have to pick a new one free since I don't want to go back told her to use the same frame of the sunglasses I used. I've been going here for years but their costumer service is seriously lacking as of the past couple months. I ordered contacts October 25. I was never informed contacts are only ordered on Mondays and Fridays, so my contacts weren't actually ordered until the 28th. I called November 1st wondering if my contacts are going to be in soon, the lady on the phone was extremely rude and stated "I told you in the past numerous time that I have to order my contacts a week to 2 weeks ahead of time". I called back on the 10th and was told I have to order my contacts now 2-3 weeks ahead of time. My contacts then came the next day on Veterans Day.. when there's no mail... on top of that my contacts where miss labeled to differentiate my right and left eye which has never happened before this encounter. read more

My husband & I stopped by Visionworks yesterday to see if the staff there could fix the frames of two of my husband's prescription eyeglass frames. I am a regular customer with Dr. Garcia and the staff at Visionworks. Josh met with us and nearly moved heaven and earth to make sure that both pairs of eyeglasses had their frames completely repaired as good as new! One pair of eyeglasses was missing a small screw in the frame and the other pair of eyeglasses had a bent frame. Josh was so cheerful and respectful with addressing these issues! He was very thorough in fixing the eyeglasses, polishing the lenses, and he brought out some very nice eyeglass cases that were much more protective than my husband's original eyeglass cases!
