I called to make an appointment on the day of my appointment they told me I did not have an appointment. I told them, yes, I did I spoke to a Kelly she said I'm sorry there is no appointment here for you today. I took the day off of work for this appointment. Their customer service sucks. I will never go back to that store or take my sons there. They seem not to even care that I took the day off. Needless to say, I did not get the name of the person who made my appointment. First time at LensCrafters and last! I got contacts for my daughter it took over 4 weeks to get the trial pair. The doctor said try them for a couple of weeks so she did. We go back today and I was told that her prescription is expired because it was never completed. I don't understand the exam was done and paid in full for. I explain to him that my daughter needs her contacts, he tells me he will ask the doctor, comes back after 20 minutes to tell me they will be able to order the contacts. Leaves again and comes back to tell me no we are not doing anything the prescription is expired you need a new exam. He was rude and didn't even tried to listen to me anymore, he just turn around and walk away. This place is overpriced and not helpful. Don't spend your time or money here. read more

I had great service here, got my eye exam, eyeglasses and sunglasses. The eye exam was thorough and informative and helpful. I liked being able to make my appointment online and choosing best time for me to come in, I was able to get in same day. The young lady who helped me find glasses and sunglasses (1 pair eyeglasses and 2 pair sunglasses) was extremely helpful and patient and making suggestions while I looked thru numerous pairs. She actually suggested my regular frames I bought which are perfect for me. My eyeglasses were ready in an hour. Sunglasses were special order, the young man helping me when I picked them up was also very helpful giving me care tips and adjusting them. In the past I have always been able to walk in and have my glasses adjusted and or tightened and cleaned for me, which is nice and handy to have done while shopping at Ontario Mills. I picked up my glasses November 26. I said and I cannot see out of my left eye very good. She said to try them for a couple weeks. Well I tried them, still can't see out of left eye. Then, a few days later I had a pipe break in my home, in the wall and it flooded my home. My home is torn apart. No kitchen, or living room. On Christmas Eve, I got the flu. I went in yesterday to get my glasses checked, and they said we only will review them within one month and then refused to help me. They walked away, and ignored me. Don't go to this one. They are rude, and now my insurance won't pay again. I'm very disgusted with lens crafters. I have pics of house all torn apart to prove my story, and paper work from urgent care on Christmas Day. Was seen by a Dr. Vicki Nguon nice person but not a good eye doctor. Had to go back and forth a few times. The prescription was not a good one and in short could not see properly out of one of my lenses. Dr. Vicki Nguon first tried to adjust but then she suggested if she could write me my old prescription which was over 2 years old by another optometrist?? So since I had had enough got a copy of my old prescription which again was not written correctly had to go back and show them my old prescription again so it can be re-written. Also, one of the staff members, don't remember his name, I think he had painted nails, which I'm ok with more power to him, but he was rude and very unprofessional and ironically discriminating. I was waiting in line to get help. He came over and started taking and helping another person that came there after me without asking who is next; there were two of us waiting. Probably THE WORSE service ive EVER received getting my eyes checked. I switched here hoping they wouldnt over charge me (like at my last place). Had an appointment for 12 noon. STILL waited 45 minutes to get attended. My check up was fast. The room was dirty. My contact trial was ordered and i was told itd be 2-4 weeks max. A month later i called asking what was the status. Apparently my contacts arrived and a "customer" must have signed for the package. Now i have to wait another month for them to re order them. Worst. Service. Of ANY business. EVER. I've been receiving glasses here for years and years because it's closest to home for me. The last three times I went in there I was ignored. First, i went in because the coating on my lenses was very damaged. (They were damaged after only a month of wear which is highly unusual for me since I've been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old). Once I ask for the manager and the manager proceeded to ignore me for 20-plus minutes. I walked out since i had errands to run. When I finally got my glasses days later, the woman who "helped" me (I use this term generously, since she was useless ) Harley ever made eye contact with me and just told me that I had damaged my lenses by not using the official LensCrafters spritzer on them (and that's absolutely ridiculous since, again, I've been wearing glasses for 25 years. ). Another time I went in because a screw was loose and when they replace the screw the hand of the glasses back to me unwashed and completely off balance. When I told the person that they needed to be leveled he stared at me and said one of my ears is higher than the other. At this point I was so frustrated I put the glasses down on the table that he can see THEY are lopsided, not my face!!! When I tell my family and even my opthamologist, they all agree that this is the worst LensCrafters around. I have been going to the location at Ontario Mills Mall for 10 years or so as my office is nearby. I am fine with the exam and the doctors, though it would be nice to see the same person twice. My issue is with the glasses. The glasses never seem to be right. The staff has always been courteous and helpful but I have gotten better results at a better price online (I have used GlassesUSA) as far as the actual glasses are concerned. I have a heavy Rx, astigmatism, I get progressive bi-focal and transition lenses so my glasses cost a pretty penny. The exam and the staff are 4-5 stars... the glasses 1-2 so I split the difference with 3 stars. read more

I normally don't do this kind of thing but I am disgusted with the treatment I received in this store. I have shopped here for years and never had an issue like I did last Tuesday in the morning. I was followed the whole time in the store by a taller female employee named Natalie. She made me feel super uncomfortable and was extremely rude. I came in with my children to look for glasses for my daughter while my baby was in the stroller. I heard her talking very loudly and rudely to another employee that she was concerned that I was stealing merchandise and made sure to make it very obvious that she was watching me. I have never stolen anything in my life, not even a bobby pin. I will never visit this store again and I plan on calling corporate. Never in my life have I felt like a dirty criminal the way Natalie made me feel. Shame on you Natalie!!!! You have the worst customer service I have ever seen! Worst experience ever! Not only did they rip me off, but after paying over $300 for glasses and exams, a few months later I tried ordering contacts and I couldn't because the eye doctor had prescribed me a specific brand of contacts that was different then the ones I have used for 25+ years and was $90 per box. That is ridiculous! When I called to ask if they could just change the brand they told me no that I would have to come in for ANOTHER appointment to get a new prescription! So more money! I told them I did not need a new prescription just to remove the brand name and they said they could not. I got a hold of an optometrist elsewhere and they rewrote the prescription for me no problem. Yep 4 stars from me...I don't rate this high usually on most places. However Lenscrafters saved the day yesterday. The screw in my eye glasses had been coming lose for awhile. I called the optometrist office to see if they could fix then and they said they would try to see what they could do but they don't fix glasses. Most of the workers are really nice but then you get that one who has no idea what they're talking about or treat you very unkind and rude and act like they just don't want to be there. Also, I was trying out a new prescription of contacts, not thinking anything of it put a set of the weeks worth of contacts they gave me in. A few hours later I had a massive headache. Took the contacts out to find out the next day the contacts were Expired by like a half year. Went back to get new ones that weren't expired and first they gave me an odd number of contacts so I'll be wasting one contact and second the worker gave me more expired contacts!!!! Will be trying a new location next year. Hopefully it's just this location and not the whole company that is unorganized and hires unkind, not skilled people. read more

The place passed my expectations more because the customer service, they are so polite and care about the customers. The doctor was good but Alejandra (the seller) was great. She did not seem in a hurry because she did answer all my questions and helped me to find my right glasses. I definitely recommend this place and if you speak Spanish ask for Alejandra she will help you with all your questions. read more

I was really happy with the service that I received when I got there. I made my appointment for a Monday, and only had to wait 10 min to get the quickest eye exam. Their technology is so advanced and professional that I was so amazed. Definitely don't make your appointment for fri-sun. The lady who gave me my pre eye exam was super nice as well as the optometrist. My glasses were originally $159.99 but I only had to pay $85ish. That is a really good deal considering that my insurance paid for 100% of my exam and $150 coverage for my lenses. I love my RAYBANS, theyre amazing!!! They were originally made for sunglasses but they told me I can get my scripted lenses in there so I did. They even helped me pick out a pair out of all the pairs that I chose. Its funny how people who have insurance expect to not pay anything. How will the business make money if the insurance pays for absolutely everything??? You guys are funny. Brought my sunglasses in that had worn nose pieces. They put brand new ones in, cleaned them up, and did it quickly. And they did it at no cost. The workers were very nice and friendly. I can't say I had an awesome experience and excellent customer service. I finally decided to get an eye exam ($65 FYI). As I walked in it was ridiculously packed on a Saturday. You'd actually think that they were giving away free glasses!! Furthermore, I filled out an application (actually an associate did that for me as if I cannot write my own name) and I don't know if he was deaf or just stupid but he asked how to spell my name 4 times. People, my name is 5 letters long. Then I was directed to the exam room by another associate who was pretty nice and professional but spoke WAY too fast for me to comprehend a single thing. It felt like he was trying to get this over with as fast as he possibly could. I didn't like that because he sounded like a damn robot. He tried to sell me on some other exams and so did the actual doctor. I HATE the feeling where you feel like people are just trying to rob you and sell you stuff you don't even need!! Augh, my mood went downhill from there. After I was done with speedy Gonzalez, I got to see the doctor. She tested me and said " oh, your vision is horrible". Thanks. You are too kind. She then asked when I strain my eyes mostly and I replied, " in class.. can't see the board". She then said, "DUDE!!! I know exactly whatchu mean!!!!" Dude? Really? No, we are not friends. And I am not your dude. I thought that was kind of unprofessional. Hey, but that's just me. So then she points me to the Tiffany & Co. and Prada frames.. " The nice glasses are over there!" As if the ones I was looking at weren't nice.. Once again she tried to sell me something I don't even need. Thanks but no thanks. Between trying to tell me I needed glasses when I got 3 other opinions and found out I had 20/20, then my mom got the worst customer service and they she had to keep going back for things to stay the same then my sister ordered her contacts there they charged her twice never sent them then claimed she never paid she had to take her bank statements in as proof so they resent them and had the wrong prescription like really get it together! I had to get a pair of glasses because i just broke my old ones. so i decided to try lenscrafters. Decent selection, good customer service. I was however disappointed in the prices. What a scam. The frames i picked were @ 300, decemt price, then the lenses for an a/r regular poly carbonate lens was @ 380. How is that possible???? What highway robbery. Even after my insurance i ended up paying @300 due to the high price of the lenses. They are lucky i needed a pair of glasses asap otherwise i would have gone elsewhere. i was at this location yesterday to get new glasses. i gave my prescription to a new employee. she was obviously new, and that didn't bother me. I'm a patient man, and will wait calmly for most things. the new girl was really doing her best... the problem i had was that no one was sitting with her on her first official day. it took an hour and a half for a 20 minute procedure. this poor girl had to get up and leave me (to double check her work) every time she entered something in the computer. again, i felt really bad for her, but c'mon dude! no one else took the initiative to walk over to her and help. i saw at least 3 people leave before me that got there after me. it sucked! read more

So now that my ordeal with this place is over...I can run and never look back. Ridiculously unprofessional. The two male optometrists I dealt with were adequate and no real issue with them, but the office is a joke. Went for several follow up appointments seeing as I was having issues with my contacts. Did not appreciate having to wait over a half hour on several occasions from my schedules appointment time. So I show up one day for a follow up exam and the female optometrist basically tells me she doesn't know what I'm there for, or even what contact lenses I was wearing, or having any way of knowing exactly what to tell me. She insisted on me trying on a pair of contacts she was "pretty sure" I was using to confirm. After dealing with this clueless woman, I eventually re-ordered my contacts for the year and was told that my card would be funded the difference in price. I went over exactly what would happen with the male employee regarding the refund, and he insisted he'd be putting it through immediately that day. Over a week goes by...nothing on my card. I get a call saying my contacts were ready, but hey! Guess what? Not the right contacts, but the same that had been sitting there for months that were no good to me seeing as I needed a different type. Did that gentleman ever ordered my new contacts? No, that would require some amount of professionalism. And ACTUALLY, the contacts I needed were in stock the whole time, and I could have taken them home a week ago when I was there. I make one last stop to pick up my contacts and a receipt where I finally got the money added to my card. NEVER will I ever consider going back...and I'd suggest trying your luck elsewhere. read more

I ordered progressive lenses after an eye exam from the Ontario Mills location along with and order for Ray-Ban G-15 sun glass lenses and was told to expect a month to visually acclimate to the progressives and I did. A month later I suffered blurred vision and severe headaches and stopped wearing the glasses. At the insistence of my wife I went to the LensCrafters in Victoria Garden's location, they compared the current lenses to my prescription and suggested that the original lenses lenses were not my prescription and immediately replaced the prescription, terrific I can see again and the headaches are gone. At the same time I had paid for Ray-Ban G-15 lenses not cheap...not ever owning Ray-Ban G-15's I had no basis of comparison. Two weeks ago based on the repeated poor performance with LensCrafters and needing I decided to use a different Optician. I showed them my Ray-Ban's and asked for something similar maybe a bit greener and they quickly pointed out the lenses in frames were not G-15 Ray-Ban's but the cheap gray/green house lenses used by LensCrafters. Sure enough they showed me three pair of G-15 Ray-Ban's and they all looked the same, green with little gray. I called the Ontario store and was told to bring the sunglasses in at a specific date and time and speak with the mgr. I did and after waiting for over 25 minutes a young lady approached me and said the mgr was not available however she would help. I again told my story, (third time) she examined the glasses, took them into the lab area and came back and said the lenses are G-15's but due to the varied coatings the colors are never the same on any lenses. What bullshit is this I thought, the whole idea of G-15 is based on a specific color created for military pilots back in the day for the purpose of distinguishing water sky, horizon, plus they're polarized and not coated, the sales clerk is either ignorant or deceptive and I don't really care which it is, both are unacceptable. I quickly realized I was talking to a dunce, there would be no help here, losers weepers for me, immediately I left...Our family has had good experiences LensCrafters South Coast, just to far to travel to spend hard earned money. The four experiences in the Inland Empire have caused me literal headaches, frustration, time and most importantly POOR VISION...Having spent over $$$$$$ thousands of dollars over the years between my wife and kids I must now part company with LensCrafters...avoid the Ontario Mills location at all cost... read more
