Went here on a Monday evening with an appointment as a first time customer. I think the location is convenient, being that it's in the fashion square mall near macy's. I also got a same day appointment. I was taken right in at my appointment time to have the assistant run all of the pre-exam checks. When she was done, I was asked by the assistant to wait for the doctor. It was about a 20 minute wait to see him. While I was waiting, I perused the selection of glasses and I really liked that they carry high-end fashion brands such as Chanel, Coach, Tiffany, Burberry and Bvlgari. I ended up choosing some Tiffany ones that were on sale and got a great deal. The doctor cqme to get me for the exam, Dr. Cohen, and he was friendly. The exam was pretty standard. After the exam, I did wait a little while to be helped with the questions I had regarding my choice of glasses. But after that, it was smooth and I chose to pick up my glasses the next day. They seem a little strong on the prescription, so I'm going to wear them for a couple days and see if my eyes adjust. Overall an average experience. Not bad, and not fantastic either! read more

I broke my glasses and I needed new ones ASAP. I came to LensCrafters because I knew they would hand them over to me that same day. They are pricey if you don't have eye insurance by the way! My appt. was at 6pm but I didn't get seen till 6:15. They were kind of busy so I didn't really mind. The doctor was so nice and helpful. He went about and beyond to help me out and understand the health of my eye. Rosie is honestly the best. She's helped me out twice already (once when I came in to buy my frames and she helped me out) and this time she went above and beyond to make sure I chose the right pair and explained everything to me! She's so down to earth. I think this will be my primary eye place now. I was kind of nervous because I thought I wasn't gonna get my glasses since it had taken a while with the eye exam and explanation but I did!! I got them 30 mins before closing. Ps. I have been to quite a few different Lens Crafters locations. This location was pretty average. I had a little bit of a wait, but they helped me get a good deal with my contacts. I usually only order 6 months at a time, but if I ordered 1 year, I got $125 to use towards a pair of sunglasses. So basically, I got a free pair of sunglasses, or 6 months worth of contacts free.. however you want to think of it. The sales woman was helpful when I was choosing frames for my RX glasses, I went alone and I was pretty indecisive.. so she really helped me out. read more

I had my eyes checked here two months ago. If I could give the doctor a separate rating from the sales team I would. The doctor gets a strong five star! The sales and front desk suck. It takes them half an hour to say hi to you, and when they do, they are just not helpful. Also the prices are insane! $350 just for the lens plus whichever frame you choose. Get your eyes checked here and get your glasses somewhere else. You can get a brand name frame and lens from a non-chain store for less than $350 read more

I walked in today I asked if I had to purchase the display Anita the representative explained they don't have backstock. I asked if there's any way I could get one fresh out of the box she replied no. I called the Beverly Hills store 5 mins after purchasing the glasses at this location and explained to Anthony I didn't want a display Anthony said "he can order one for me but it'll take a few days" what kind of service are they providing? Pro: Convenient because they are open during the weekends. Cons: My first visit: I had to wait for 1 1/2 hr for a scheduled appointment. They "apologized" for the wait b/c they are "supposedly" behind schedule and at the same time accepting new appointments for that day. The lens prescription: They were suppose to up my prescription by .25 on each side to 1.25 and 1 (Right eye, left eye). Turns out that they actually up it by .5 on each side because they said my current lens are 1 and .75 but it was really .75 and .5. (I asked them to triple check). =/ I still wear my old pair of glasses. Overall: It was a stressful experience and I will not be going back! =) read more

I really don't like leaving negative reviews (you'll see from my yelp page that I've left mostly positive reviews for businesses). But I want to prevent others from having the same experience as me. I lost my eyeglasses, so needed a new pair stat. So I decided to go into Lenscrafters because I thought they'd have my prescription on file and I had to run a few other errands at the mall. BIG MISTAKE. I ended up wasting hours of my life for "convenience". The eye exam went pretty smoothly and I didn't have to wait, even on a busy Saturday. Before the exam they had me fill out paperwork. I told them repeatedly that I ALREADY HAD AN ACCOUNT and that THEY SHOULD HAVE MY EXISTING PRESCRIPTION on file. They ignored me and created a new account. After receiving my glasses with an "updated" prescription, I tried them on, and immediately told them that they were wrong. They told me to wait three days to "get used to them". After feeling like I was in a fishbowl for three days, I took them back, and got ANOTHER eye exam with a different doctor. He recognized that the first time was wrong, but tried to put the blame on me, saying that "It would have been helpful to have your old glasses before we made your new ones." Which I had to calm myself, because I wanted to scream "I TOLD THEM THEY HAD MY PRESCRIPTION ON FILE and I LOST MY GLASSES". The doctor gave me another prescription, which was still off. Again, I was given the "wait three days". I was fed up, and spent another $100 to go to another reputable optometrist to give me a thorough exam. He said that, yep, my prescription was nearly identical to my old prescription. And I wasn't crazy; the prescription they gave me was way off. I take the updated prescription to Lenscrafters, and the woman helping me said that I needed to call the doctor because the prescription he gave me was way off than the one they had on file. It appeared that he had left off a negative sign off one of the numbers. I asked if they could just make the glasses anyways and they said no. The doctor was closed on Saturday, so I couldn't reach him. I left Lenscrafters and called the doctor on Monday, and finally gave them the updated prescription. And yes, all that was needed was a negative sign on one of the numbers. So I finally got my glasses, one month later. After going to Lenscrafters a total of 7 times. One extra star because *some* of the women working there were very nice and seemed really apologetic about the whole situation. read more

Appointment @ 6ish on a Friday night to update my prescription and order new contacts. Staff was very nice and friendly. The optometrist was efficient and professional. Managed to be out by ~8pm with a sample pack of daily contacts. Going back in a few days to report on the comfort/fit. For anyone who needs a convenient location and appointment times, I would say this place is a good fit. You're best bet is to make an appointment and plan on ~2 hour process. read more

My first time at this location. I have been using LensCrafters for 10 years! The staff was really nice and helpful. I love my new Rx sunglasses. The stores always offers discounts which is nice especially when you don't have insurance. I did not get an eye exam today. Already had a Rx. Didn't have an appointment and still got my glasses In less than 3 hours. The service was slow at times but they were very thorough. I read alot of reviews and a lot of it is complaining of customer service! First of all most places don't have the best customer service because they're always busy. Not exactly because they are shortstaffed. I still feel even though they're busy they always make sure you're taking care of and a check up on you. For going 10 years about 2 to 3 times a year I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience! And I've been to at least five different locations. Lastly I called several times to get a lot of prices and information and they were nothing but nice and patient. Thanks guys! read more

We had exams and obtained new glasses here about three months ago. We had friendly customer service, and when I told them our budget they helped us to find glasses that we could afford. The Doctors did very good exams, and I am used to getting my exams done at Cedar-Sinai, so I know top-notch service. I have very fussy eyes, I get headaches if a prescription is off by 0.003, and they got the lenses done correctly on the first shot. I have no idea why folks are ragging on this office, but they did fine by us. read more

overall i hate the lenscrafters experience which smacks of optical care racketeering. everything is way overpriced which allows them to offer 40% discounts but only on certain models and if you're not using insurance. if that doesn't work they'll prod you to answer that you have an auto club membership or some other card that will get you a certain percentage off. precision work theirs is not and expect to make a few return trips for adjustments and corrections. in comparison to other lenscrafters their selection is sizeable and the staff at least attempts to be courteous and helpful. read more

Don't ever go here if you value your time. My wife 's exam took over 2 hours with most of that time spent waiting because they don't honor appointment times. Upon returning for the unnecessary contact lens fitting, we had to wait another 45 minutes beyond the appointment time. I go to this location. I recently went for an eye exam and ordered contacts and 2 pairs of Dolce & Gabbana glasses... I usually just go to Theresa or the manager. There's an issue with the machine that heats the frames to form fit them to your face... They had to return 2 pairs of my glasses because the machine messed up the lenses... They made right and fixed the problem, that's why I continue to go there. Find glasses that actually fit you so you don't have to get them re fitted. I didn't have any issues with my new pair. read more

I want to start by saying I have, in the past, had a good experience at this location. However. That is no longer the case. It took them 5 tries to get the prescription right in a pair of my Prada frames and it still isn't correct. The transition coating started to crack after a week of wearing them... unfortunately I had used up my "30 days" to bring them back to correct the problem so I'm just going to live with it for now. Next thing, I have now asked 4 times to have my prescription sent to me. First they were going to mail me a copy then the next three times I was told they were going to email it to me. Neither has happened so I'm going to have to go back into the store, probably be told some other story as to WHY I can't get a copy of my prescription and leave unhappy... again. I just got back from my appointment at this Lenscrafters location and I could not have been more happy with the service. They must have gotten rid of the old optometrist because the one I got said that she was just started a month or so ago and is there full-time. She was professional and seemed to really care about making sure that I received a thorough exam. She explained all the options that I had through my insurance and was even nice enough to help me pick out a pair of glasses. I highly recommend this optometrist. This September I had an eye exam and bought new lens at the Westfield Fashion Square store. When the glasses were ready for pickup, the staffer did not have me wear them until I asked to test them. The distance Rx was blurry, so I was re-examed for replacement. I noticed that the second pair was too different from the previous year (same store) - previous was +4.5/OD vrs this year's +0.5/OD (sic). After showing the 2 results to my ophtalmologist, she confirmed that my earlier Rx on record was much greater than +0.5. Will not return to this store, untrustworthy! read more

This is a business with customer interest in mind. The team is very friendly and helpful, the appointments always on time. The Optician is very professional and nice. I wanted to start wearing contacts and even though I have special needs for my eye the doctor tried several options very carefully until he found the best fit for me. I recommended this center to my friend who was complaining for not being able to find the prescription sunglasses to like and to fit for his needs. He ended up getting regular and sunglasses, and he is very happy. They are very knowledgeable of their inventory and they present all the options with your best interest in mind. When you go into the eye exam for the first time they treat you like royalty. I had the best experience during my exam, picking frames, and ordering my glasses. The girl who did the order said that she had to order the lenses. She said it would take no longer than 10 days and she would call me when they're ready. So I wait, 10 days go (or so I thought) by and no call. I call just to check on the status. The girl picks up and was pretty rude I miscounted and it was only the 9th day she said to me "It hasn't been 10 days I don't know why you're calling (click)" OK Didn't know how to react but hey I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Called back on day 11 same girl picks up and she says only one of the lenses came in and she will call me back in 30 mins with an update. Two days go by no call. I call again and she says the same thing. Another 2 days go by no call. Still waiting for a call to pick up my glasses. read more

In each and every location I have been in there has been nothing but disorganization and really long waiting. This particular location is an exception, a horrible exception. I cant believe the awful service that is given by what appears to be the "training center" of Lenscrafters. The employees is this location have no idea what they are doing, the doctor was so green that she talked to herself the whole time, telling herself how bad my eyesight is. Terrible service by impatient, snotty front desk people, and worst of allllll, I ordered contact lenses, they never ordered them for me. I am still blind and without contacts to this day. I would give them no star if I could. I took my mom in here to get her glasses adjusted the lady helping us took my moms glass to the adjuster in the back room, less than 30 seconds later she came back with broken glasses. She gave us a sad excuse for an apology and asked if we wanted to buy new glasses. My mom can't see without her glasses, I was understandably upset. I asked her to fix them and she said they can't. I feel that they purposely broke then to try and take advantage of us. Which is despicable. We had to take her glasses to a jeweler to get fixed. :( read more
