I actually plan my day around coming to this Lenwich. Totally forgot that there is one right near FIT, where I sometimes teach. Anyway... I love this place. They have salads. People go and eat these said bowls of lettuce. They have sandwiches. They have bagels. This is how I stumbled upon this great place, getting a bagel and then letting my eyes dance across the menu to the best thing ever: The Lenny's Fishwich. O.M.G. Let's start by saying that it's very hard to find a good fish sandwich almost anywhere outside of Bed Stuy, at least not in a pub (where you would pay close to $15), so when I saw that they served a proper fish sandwich, not tuna, on brioche..omg, I almost fainted. The sandwich can be served on any bread, but get the brioche...along with lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce..they add a beautiful layer of potato chips. Potato chips. Potato chips to the top. It's heaven. Did I also mention they serve fries? The fries are sooo good and cooked to order and is served in a huge paper bag. I actually need a Lenny's intervention. I do. I've planned not to visit this location for a long while because I know the people who work there too. That can't be good right? Especially when I have never bought a salad!!! read more

This was a breakfast stop that fits in well with our eating lifestyle. Several options to choose from on the menu. I had their Pastrami "Hash" with Eggs, Grilled Pastrami, Home Fries & Ketchup (minus the Ketchup) you can also get this with egg whites. My wife had the Build Your Own Omelette with 2 Eggs, Ham and cheddar Home Fries & Toast (and subbed the toast with and English muffin). Awesome service and young lady behind the counter made a few suggestions that were very helpful. Well worth the price. $$ . A for sure go back. Please note though that this store is only open Monday to Friday 7 to 5 with limited options. They have other stores that are open on the weekends and expanded hours, so please check which store you are going to. read more

Sandwiches were absolutely delicious!!!! But a little chaotic. There was no sign saying where to order (in the back right corner). But there were a few signs saying "pay & pickup". Many people, including us, thought that meant pay when you pick up. But your order isn't turned in until you pay, so you need to go pay right after you order, then we got our food pretty quickly. But others were waiting a long time because they thought they paid once their order was ready, but actually their orders hadn't even been turned in yet. Since getting my new job near Times Square, I have searched the area for places to eat for lunch whenever I don't bring my own or I forget. Since Lenwich is literally right next door, I have visited it twice. The employees are so nice and the food is pretty good. ​The best thing that I have gotten is Spicy Chicken sandwich. If you know me, you know I love SPICE, so when I got there, my eyes zeroed in on that sandwich. It took a while to prepare, as I waited for 15 to 20 minutes and saw other people order after me and get their food first, but nonetheless it was delicious​ and I thoroughly enjoyed it. On another visit, I did have a Kale Caesar Salad which was also pretty good. I'll be back to try more things. read more

Lenwich is a express version of the old Lenny's. I say express because the menu is much smaller and therefore orders come out much quicker. Sadly some of my favorite sandwiches from Lenny's are not on this smaller menu. Aside from sandwiches you can get salad, egg sandwiches during breakfast and muffins from the display case. They are currently running an April madness event with a featured sandwich on different days of the week. I have tried two the lenwich and the Buffalo chicken sandwich and for the price of five dollars it can't be beat. They did not skimp on any ingredient everything was fresh and hot and I would definitely be back. read more

I went here on Nov 2 because I was in the area taking an important course so since I'm not familiar with the area I looked to yelp. I seen Lenwich before in lower Manhattan but never went as everything now a days is too expensive. Walking in here I was a little overwhelmed as they had a lot to choose from with pictures so the hunger definitely kicked in. The lady at the register was very friendly and professional. I ordered some steak sandwich(may have been the cheese steak) and a carrot/ginger soup (I never order soup). The sandwich on Brioche bread was very good and the soup omg was sooooo good. I was upset I ordered a small. The place was clean and all the staff was friendly. Yes the meal (without a drink) cost me a little over $10 but was it worth it? Hell yes it was. So I've tried the Lenny's by the Garden and now I decided to try the one by my office. I ordered the Lenwich, which has roast beef, corned beef, Russian dressing, swiss, and coleslaw, in a whole wheat wrap. It was around $10. I love lenny's sandwiches. But today I visited this Lenny's for lunch. The service was good but when I got my sandwich I was surprised to see how small the portions have gotten. It was tiny! I am sorry but spending $11 on a tiny sandwich does not sit well with me and I am not sure if it is worth coming back.. The sandwich had two slices of roast beef on it.. What is that? Not sure what is going on... Perhaps, the owner(s) are getting a little too greedy.. Take into account the delivery fee they charge, like really? This is new york city, most all places do not charge a delivery fee.. And worst is, the delivery fee does not even going to the delivery person, it just goes into the big ole pocket of the owner(s)... Lenny's, please get your act together. read more

While visiting NYC a few weeks ago a friend from Long Island took us to Lenwich. The one we went to was within a block of Times Square. For that area it was super reasonable. They had a great variety of sandwiches, including me being able to eat a gigantic mushroom/ciabatta monstrosity (and I mean that in a GREAT way)! Our food was great and was prepared quickly, and we had 5 very happy people at the end of our meal! If you're in the area give Lenwich a try. They are chain so I'll probably give another location a try just based on the strength of our visit to this one. read more

My review is basic for this time around. It's my first time here. It's raining and the sign outside said 99 cent coffee. Any size was 99 cents i wasn't even taxed. The female associate who assisted me was nice and pleasant. She made my coffee correctly. The coffee itself tastes great especially for the price. I would come here over dunkin donuts just for the coffee. I have been sitting in here for about half hr drinking my coffee. It's not overcrowded. It's not overly noisy. Pretty pleasant atmosphere. Overall from this experience i think i will come back maybe for a lunch break and see how the food is. read more

Definitely recommend this place for a sandwich! I love sandwiches, and nothing beats a Publix sub (though I haven't had one since I moved to NY), but this place comes pretty close! They give you a generous amount of "stuff," and it tastes fresh. I'm a weirdo and don't like mayo or mustard in my sandwiches, and would rather have it "dry." I've come to find that there are varying degrees of dry, based on the type of bread and meat. Some sandwich shops are so dry that I'm basically choking on it if I'm not downing water. But Lenwich has the combo where the meat is juicy enough for it to be eaten by itself without any beverages (although why would you want to bc you're making your saliva glands work extra hard). Other than that, there's really nothing else I judge a sandwich on! read more

What is the point of having modifying options (online) on your order if the place doesn't even follow your instructions!! I checked off "toasted well" for my breakfast bagel and in the comments, I reiterated & wrote "Toasted dark, slightly burnt"... And this is what I get. Not the first time. This is a great sandwich place. They have awesome signature sandwiches or you can build your own. If you're trying to spend a little less, build your own! They end up being a little cheaper. This location is near my office and I finally tried it when my usual go to sandwich/lunch place, a Pret a Manger across the street, was closed for renovations. Why the hell didn't I try this place sooner????!!!!! These sandwiches are bigger and definitely better than Pret for the same price. I instantly fell in love with the place after my first bite into the spicy Italian. The spicy tuna was good too but I don't think they put enough tuna in the sandwich. I have been a fan of Lenny's aka Lenwich for several years, and frequent this location because it's close to my office. For a relatively inexpensive sandwich shop, this place has excellent service. They are always very organized and get food out quickly. The quality of the food is very consistent. In fact, this applies to all of the locations. They really need to figure out a more efficient way to get people their sandwiches because both times I have gone it's been over a 20 minute wait. I don't understand why you don't pay for you sandwich at the same time you order it. Here's how it works: fight through massive mob waiting in middle of the store to get to the sandwich line (which never has anyone in it), order sandwich and get buzzer/receipt, go back into massive mob as people wander around wondering what to do before they realize that they now need to pay for their sandwich. No line, no order, just people going up here and there now that they realize they have to pay. Now that you have paid for your sandwich they give you a plastic bag with napkins in it and you continue to wait in the mob until your buzzer goes off. After which you fight back through the mob to go pick up your sandwich. Why are there 3 separate cashier/customer interactions when every place in the world only has two. You either pay when you order your food, or pay when you get your food. It makes for a lot of confused guests, and creates an enormous mass of people waiting in the middle blocking the line for ordering and the entire wall of drinks. However, even with the atrocious and unprecedented organizational method, the sandwiches are great and fairly priced. The famous Lenwich is a top notch reuben, and the sandwiches on heros are very substantial. Would not recommend it for a quick lunch, but if you're willing to wait there are some pretty good sandwiches on the other side. read more
