SInce starting a job on the Strand in September, eating in Leon has become one of my favourite things about being alive. Let me count the ways: One - I love the fact that the food is wholesome and so very very tasty. I feel clean, pure, topped up with vitamins and FULL when I leave here. That 'slaw would keep anyone reg'lar. Two - I love whoever does their design work. Gorgeous retro stickers on takeaway items ('line caught fish', 'freedom food chicken' etc) and lovely menu covers. I lust after their spin-off hardback cookbook, sucker that I am. It's got super thick matt pages, lots of the aforementioned design and it smells goooood and inky. Three - Bring your own booze. Four - Mackerel Superfood Salad Five - Stacks of disposable cutlery conveniently placed near the door. If, I don't know, you...say, had a homemade pasta salad for lunch and needed a fork, but got down the road and realised you didn't have one...I *reckon* you could easily steal one from here, plus a few more to take back to your office for other times when you forget cutlery. In conclusion: A lovely selection of genuinely healthy fast food, with proper fastfood service and signs/counter. Given that very specific brief, definitely as good as it gets! Nothing like it anywhere else that I've lived. This contributes to my current Londonlove.

This is a great place to come for a quick but good quality lunch. The staff are great and although the queues can sometimes be quite long they manage it well. It is a little bit more pricey than other lunch places in the area, but it feels like healthy comfort food and I particularly love the warm food on a cold day! The lemon chicken tagine is a new favourite.

I'm a sucker for happy people and good customer service. Maybe it was because the two previous places were somewhat rude when we walked in but this place is just good all over. Food. Customer service. Ambience. Just what I needed for a good healthy breakfast. But don't be fooled it may be healthy but it is oh so delicious. I recommend this to anyone on the go but with a yearning for something tasty and healthy.

This place is great! I don't understand why it doesn't have more reviews. Food came out quickly, it was a good portion size and most importantly it was delicious. I got the Moroccan meatballs that came on a bed of rice with a side salad. It was filling without making me feel sluggish after like most fast food. Rosemary water was a perfect addition.

Good spot for healthy food and on top of it we were looking for gluten free which they are very conscious of at Leon.

Loved lamb kifta salad. Lemon chicken was fine, but nothing special. Would come back as it is a good fast healthy food option on in Strand.

Best burger I've ever had? It's up there let me tell you (though that honour remains with Patty & Bun)! What I really liked about Five Guys was the way that burgers could be customised, and how while it looks like fast food (but isn't priced like fast food), each burger is made specifically for the person ordering it. And that burger comprises a truly succulent, tasty patty, an amazing bun, fantastic bacon (should you want bacon) and, grilled onions? Yes please again if you want them. Anyway, it all came together into a burger that honestly, WOW. The list of items you can add to your burger was probably 15 or 16 long, the combinations must be immense! And that was accompanied by fries that I would say are the best fries I've ever had. And the nice touch on the wall where they tell you where the potatoes come from was not lost on me. Five Guys. Amazing!

Quite happily, I'm proud to say it's the former. Bombay Burrito is pretty close to what you imagine an Indian burrito to be. Curry, chutneys, chickpeas, salad, chilli (proper spicy chilli) and delicious spices. Each day they have rotating specials meaning the menu is small, but there should always be something new or in rotation. The staff, were great. Very friendly, and packed our burritos to the brim. We were here with a groupon, but that didn't matter, I challenged that one of our burritos couldn't be folded, and was absolutely impressed when it turned out I was clearly wrong. Additionally, we were allowed to pick any beer from the selection. I was surprised at the range of quite interesting craft beers I hadn't seen anywhere else. The 8% one was a refreshing surprise and turned me red (asian glow) within 5 minutes. Whilst there we also scavenged some poppadum crisps from a table that hadn't finished and were friendly enough to pass them our way (I say pass, but really I meant: we asked and took :D). The staff noticed and were kind enough to offer us some additional chutneys to use as dip. Now that's lovely human service. So in all, Indian burritos all things being fair, should take off in a big way. I'm not sure if Bombay Burrito is the chain to do it, but I really hope they do. The combination of great food, drink is a hit. It just needs the marketing drive and the hipsters to support it to really take off.

I've had my first Tortilla-burrito at Yelp event a while back and chatting with the owner, I found out that he's actually from San Francisco - which probably explains why I like their burritos. And since the event, I've kind of made Tortilla my default-Mexican food stop when my craving gets too strong. My tip: when you get a steak or pork burrito - ask them to NOT squeeze out the juice. I find that a juicy (well-lubricated) burrito is much tastier. Also, do invest in extra-guacamole, as this will uplift the flavour tremendously. (They are a little stingy on the guacamole though.)

Which was met with the most puzzled stare...anyways, I ended up ordering a classic burrito which was ok, but still feeling like I got tricked into this. Now, does anyone know an authentic Mexican joint whuch do California burritos?
