ALWAYS love picking up Malasadas! Today is Malasada day and it was a must. Line to order wasn't long but the wait was. Everyone was ordering boxes on boxes on boxes! Definitely recommend hitting up the mobile truck because the line isn't as long. You'll still be waiting for about 20-25 min but that's nothing in comparison to how long you'd wait at their physical store. Malasadas were super fresh though!! Parking is kinda tough because the truck is parked in a shopping complex parking lot and it's pretty busy. read more

The original cinnamon sugar was tasty, however the haupia custard filled was bad. The custard was very thin and tasted mostly of cornstarch and very fake coconut extract. I could not even eat it after the first bite. The filling was so artificial. read more

Quick service, friendly staff, warm and fresh malasadas!! The ones with filling are to die for. It isn't quite as busy as the other malasada places but they do get a line on a nice day or weekend. Come on a weekday and you won't have to wait. read more

No wait for Leonard's malasadas?! Pinch me, I must be dreaming!! While they had slightly limited selection compared to the bakery (no guava or macadamia), I didn't have to wait hours in line to secure the goods. I got 2 each of the coconut, custard and chocolate malasadas. Macadamia is my favorite flavor from the bakery and coconut was very similar! Highly recommend coming to the truck if you don't have time or want to wait. I picked up a box and hit the beach! They accept card and look at that cute pink box. read more

Okay, so i ordered after this lady that order 10 malasadas, all mix and i order after her and ordered 2 plain. So as the worker was helping the 3rd person I saw he full filled my order. But placed it on the side. so i thought maybe thats his or someone else's. But then we were the only ones waiting. So after waiting eh maybe 5min he gave the lady hers than he grabbed the bag in the side and gave it to me. So i asked him why didn't he just give my order because you already finish making it? He said cause the lady ordered first. I replied i understand that but why couldn't you just give it to me instead having me wait till after you full filled the bigger order when you all ready was done with mine? He said cause she was first. Clearly they never worked in food industry. But i understand common sense is hard to find. I think if he indented to make me wait, don't prep my order first then toss it to the side and let it sit there. Either full filled the first order then complete my order. Food is fine service needs a little improvement. read more

Just as good as the bakery!! I have never had to wait and the service has always been friendly. However, for those who complained about the wait despite their not being a line...show some grace. 1. They take online orders and may have had another customer order before you 2. They make them fresh. You want something faster...go to a drive thru. read more

Always on point with the malasadas. Ain't nobody tryin to stand in the long lines down town where all the tourists flock to. Thank goodness for these trucks at Pearlridge (in Zippy's downtown/makai parking lot) and at Waikele outlet parking lot (next to the Petco). Locations are sweet but once in a while, they'll have their lines too although will never be as bad as Leonard's the main bakery on Kapahulu. No bueno that one, Chief. They take cash and card. My favorite is the plain malasadas wit' no filling and regular sugar on the outside. Best when eaten fresh and hot. Not so good when cold, but if you had em overnight, I suggest dampening a paper towel, put it over the malasadas and warm it up on "reheat" in the microwave, but stop it short (like that's important - don't overheat it) or it will harden or get too hot. The ones with the fillings are great for warm up the next day too. Your choice of Chocolate, haupia, or custard inside and your cinnamon, regular sugar or lihing mui sugar/powder on the outside. read more

Negative one star because their custard machine was broken. Too bad. Hope they fix their machine soon! Otherwise the chocolate custard filled (dobash) and unfilled donuts were delicious, hot, and fluffy. Really love the classic cinnamon sugar one. read more

We ordered 6 original and 6 cinnamon. The originals are the absolute best because of all the yummy sugar. It comes out so piping hot and delicious I couldn't shove it in my mouth as fast as I wanted to because it was so hot. Absolutely a must get and the trucks are everywhere so they are easy to get on East Oahu. read more

Umm no.. just no.. I passed by here doing an Uber eats run and was craving some bomb Leonard's malasada. After my last delivery I came here and ordered me a dozen to take home to my family. I couldn't wait to bite into it since it was freshly made and still hot. 1st bite... hmm 2nd bite... wth is this? 3rd bite... definitely not the same as the Leonard's on Kapahulu, it tasted more doughy.. I feel like I've been catfished! This cannot be the same company but I looked on the box and it has the TM and Kapahulu address. WTH? Maybe the stuffed ones are better? Idk? But definitely not these. I'm very disappointed . Will for sure make the trip to the one near Waikiki next time I crave. read more

The machine to add the filling to the malasadas are broken, but still ordered a half dozen of sugar, cinnamon, and li hing. One bite in and it was so HOT and fresh, so ono that I was like, "Eff da filling. No need!" Meant to space out the malasadas and make them last because of my diabetes, but I couldn't help myself. Tasted so good. Ate all 6 on the spot in my car under the shade. No shame, drove home with sugar all stay stuck in my beard all the way down to my hairy belly button. Yeah, felt like I was going into diabetic shock during the drive home but I made it. Life or death, these malasadas are worth it! read more

I'm giving 5 stars, because the place is clean, staff friendly, choices abundant. The food I'm sure is great, but I went in their for their Malasada's, and I'm sure they're great and tasty, but their just not for my taste. I should say that I've never had Malasada's and theirs is the only ones I've ever tried, I just didn't like them. It was kinda like a jelly donut with too much filling and the filling was almost like it was under pressure, sort of like a pressure cooker. When you bit into it, the filling kinda exploded, it didn't make a mess, but I really didn't like the texture. I go back here for their other baked goods, just not their Malasada's. I also don't think I'll try anyone else's Malasada's either. read more

Oh my... these malasadas are the BEST! Hot, delicious and big! We were served quickly and with aloha. My only complaint is that this food truck doesn't maintain a trashcan. Neither do the others nearby. As a result, there's trash strewn around in the grass and near the picnic tables. Having a trashcan should be a requirement for running a business at this location. read more

Drove up around 5:30pm but the sign says open until 7pm. I walk up and I see a guy in there so I asked, "Are you open?"...It kinda seemed like the guy didn't understand english very well but he answered by shaking his head no and was showing me his hands, which looked like he was making the dough. I thought it was strange since it states they're open until 7pm. So I said ok and drove off. While driving off, I peeked over at the truck and I saw he was helping another customer. Terrible service is all I can say. read more

July 2022 Never tried a Malasada before, my son's girlfriend picked up a box and now I see why there's always a long line! They're GREAT! Would definitely stand in line for these babies - cinnamon sugar and custard! Their offerings change, ( they do have their core donuts that don't change-and I usually go for one "naked"--no glaze. Sometimes I'll get the honey and sea salt one. Right now they have a seasonal donut called Black Sabbath that's black sesame, brûléed banana. Every time I've been in, I'm greeted right away, and there's plenty of free parking. They get your order out super quick. If you don't want a whole donut--or you're eating in your car and don't want to make a mess--their little donuts called Holeys are the perfect pop-in-your-mouth option. Throw some of the accompanying lilikoi jam on it, and you're set brah. Ordered the following: - Pork belly, fried rice and eggs - 7.5/10: bomb stuff, as expected. Heavy breakfast for sure. Pork belly strips are tender and very flavorful. They skimp out on the garlic fried rice though. Just one little scoop. And it wasn't too garlicky at all. They have a killer bakery too right up front, so make sure you check that out as well. A great time was had by all.
