First of all. I love the pink booths, tables and chairs. Holy moly! We were seated immediately but there was a decent amount of people there. It's a little pricey compared to other Chinese places I frequent but the portions are generous. I had the hot n sour soup, it was jelly-like and really light on the sour. Skip it. Wow. I think that was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had with a restaurant. Had takeout and ordered Singapore Noodle and Sesame Chicken Combo. The Singapore noodle itself was the usual rice noodle cooked properly and spiced well too. The pea pods in the dish were obviously added from another cooking device as they were a different temperature and had no curry flavor etc. The mushrooms were from a can and as chewy as you would imagine. The shrimp were something you could pick up frozen at the megamart. Verdict: good noodle, good spice, crappy adders. The sesame chicken: Where do I start? My wife got this dish as it is her favorite and we wanted to try a new place. The flavor was very heavily soy sauce biased, the "breading" was soggy or doughy. It had a few actual sesame seeds sprinkled on and was accompanied with the weirdest "fried rice" I have ever seen. Uniform dark "I just emptied a bottle of soy sauce into the pan" bland rice with nothing in it, no spice, nothing. Verdict: avoid! The egg/veggie rolls: AVOID!! Think of an old shoe - dig deep and smell that baby if it were wrapped and deep fried. Yeah. The soup: Since when are you supposed to use elbow macaroni in your Chinese soup? What a joke. Skip this place if you are looking for good Chinese. If this is Macomb Counties best Chinese restaurant (advertised heavily) I think I'll be spending a lot more time in the car. read more

I am always very leary when it comes to trying new Asian cuisine restaurants due to my terrible experiences, but I heard a lot about this place and decided to stop in for some carry out and I'm glad I did! One of my fav things to order from an asian restaurant is pepper steak, however because every time I have ordered it in recent times, even from my fav restaurant near my home, the steak was more like some sort of slimy mystery meat that grossed me out, but I took a chance today and hallelujah they use real steak that is actually identifiable!!!! I was so happy, and it was sooooo delicious. The steak was tender, and flavorful, and they gave me more than enough veggies. We also had the ABC which was also great. The eggrolls were stuffed to perfection and delicious as well. The brown gravy was seasoned perfectly. The portions are huge too! This is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants in the area. Easy to get to from just about any place in Macomb County. The food is very flavorful and the staff and owners are incredibly friendly. We order from here from our office about once a month and are never disappointed. The watery gravy washed out any flavor of the food. I used to like their food-a few years ago. The place is a dump, the service is shabby. I ordered almond boneless chicken, and it wasn't cooked. It was still raw inside. Come here all the time and I was just recently there and asked to leave a review. The place was really clean, and the servers were keeping up on it from what I could see. The service was great and both servers came to check up on me and my guest, not just my designated waitress. The food was delicious and I filled up mostly after the soup and egg roll, but the good news is I got tons of leftovers for a good lunch tomorrow. I've been eating at this restaurant for 20 years, since I was a child. I typically order the Almond, Sesame, Sweet & Sour chicken or Steak Fried Rice. I do agree that the dated decor & 1 or 2 tables that are piled high with junk that can't be seated with customers in plain view needs to go. The decor is the same as when I was 14 in 1996. Overall, the food & service is really good (the egg roll though is now mostly just bean sprouts). We have been coming to this Chinese restaurant for years. Consistent authentic Chinese food. If you want Pad Thai, this place rocks! What surprises me is how the owner, Ms. Ling Ling Lam recalls everyone that comes name. We'd not been in as a family for quite a while and the owner was asking how our daughter was doing! The most DISGUSTING Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life. The sesame chicken tasted like I was chewing on a piece of fat and it was like 99% soggy breading and no meat. My egg drop soup had a piece of plastic in it, and the almond chicken by itself was okay, but the gravy on the other hand was disgusting thick and lardy. The hot and sour soup had a soapy taste. Great food, great service. Every time I eat here I am always satisfied. I ordered the cashew beef, I like mine medium spicy, and that is always perfect.There is always lots of food. My waitress came by the table several times to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything, she was friendly and polite.
