Monday March 16th I came for breakfast. I ordered crispy bacon, grits, toast and coffee. When my order arrived my bacon was far from crispy. So I asked the waitress- do you use a bacon crisper? The waitress became very rude, she replied "no" in a scolding tone, (like you would scold a child) it's on a grill! I said well this is not crispy. The bacon was clearly undercooked with most of the fat had not been cooked through at all. I said this doesn't look crispy at all. The waitress replied it's crispy to me. Then I said well I'll just have 2 chicken strips . Waitress still using a scolding tone replied you can't exchange it you have to pay extra for the chicken strips. Although she was being insanely rude I said ok. My take away: I came out for breakfast to a Leo's. Not to have a confrontation over bacons crispness - but to relax and enjoy my morning meal. I was met with indifference as if this is acceptable behavior. She was very rude by not acknowledging my concerned about an undercooked food item that was served to me. She is not suited for public service if she has biases that she feels so strongly about that she needs to express her opinion to a customer. She's buzzing around here like a busy bee but she in fact is very rude condescending person. I would have taken a picture but waitress was my plate away before I could take a picture of the bacon. In a few minutes she can back with 2 chicken strips. By this time nothing in this restaurant very appetizing to me. I will not be back here. read more

Always clean environment that serves tasty and hot food. I've been coming to this location for 4 years and rarely have a bad experience. The fish and chips are unbelievable. Grilled chicken sandwich is tender and marinated. Coneys are superb. The servers are excellent for the most part. The place runs like a charm due to good management. So disappointing!! Am traveling for work and my hotel is across the street. Sat down and after a long wait, I was greeted by the server. After some discussion, she assured me the dogs were "amazing". Well, it wasn't. I ordered a Kraut dog and a Chili / Cheese dog. Presentation was not good. Taste was not good. Portion control was bad. The hot dogs were way over cooked and not tasty at all. I love their gyros and Greek salad, but their takeout service is so bad that it's comical. In my experience, they get my orders wrong 100% of the time. Usually it's a missing drink or failure the put Mayo on my chicken finger pita instead of ranch. This time they forgot the drink AND my baby Greek salad. Unfortunately I didn't notice the missing salad until I got home and had to go back. When I went back and explained what happened, they looked confused and barely offered an apology. When I got home the second time with the salad, I discovered that some of the lettuce was rotten. Not sure why I keep doing this to myself. Time to find another coney.. read more

As a kid, this coney was the place to go to get a Greek Salad and lunch with friends. It was known as Farmington Slouvaki, and was actually located on the other side of Orchard Lake Road next to Marvin's Mechanical Museum. Eventually, renovations were done at that mall, and they moved across the street to this newer location. I came here because it's been ages since I'm not really close to Orchard Lake Road that much anymore. I was hungry, and wanted to get a quick lunch before shopping at Kohls. Walking in, the place was kind of busy with a lot of carry outs, door dashers and some folks seated inside. I noticed they have a nice lunch special for $6.99 with a pop, fries and a pita for lunch. This was my kind of meal since I was hungry but not starving. Sitting down the waitress told me no tuna pita or egg salad pitas were part of the lunch special exclusion. so that left me 4 choices. I went with the Taco Pita. It was okay, but not the greatest one I've had. Service was fine, but overall, this place isn't as much fun as it used to be. I will pretend its due to the pandemic, but I suspect it might be due to other issues as well. Would I return? OF COURSE. But, there's tons of Leos in the area, and I actually like the one near me better in Rochester Hills. This place has just changed. It used to be "the spot" to go to for lunch with anyone, and was always banging busy. I don't know, I guess times change. read more

The good: the waitress was very polite and friendly. The bad: the egg on my breakfast sandwich was over cooked, I asked for easy over. The turkey sausage patty was this and not delicious. The worse: the bathroom smelled like urine and was disgusting, there was no hand soap in the orange cintas dispenser, this was around 9-10am, this bathroom has been disgusting for awhile. Makes me wonder how the employee wash their hands, not a great site to see after you just got done eating breakfast... Will not be returning.... read more

I am specifically talking about the one on orchard lake. This is the third time in a row they messed our orders up when we order carry out. The first two times there were BIG egg shells in my omelette to the point it cut me. This time, we ordered two omelettes and neither came with the included sides. So essentially we paid for a meal and only got half of it. Calling them back, they did not seem to care. I'm not sure if it's a communication thing at this location or the fact they just don't care. This is absolutely the worst Leo's. I will not be returning here for carry out or dine in. This location needs to get their management in order. read more

The food is good. Love the hashbrowns. They don't steam the buns on their Coney Dogs so I don't order them they are usually stale. However dollar for dollar you get solid food and good service. The staff cares. The Gyros, Greek Salads, Michigan Salad, the Omelets are good. I really enjoy their breakfasts. I got the chicken fingers pita with fries, and my boyfriend got two coneys no onion and a gyro no onion with fries. The fries were not hot, neither was my chicken in my pita. My niece & I stopped for lunch & what a pleasant surprise. The service was fantastic, the food was great, & such a clean restaurant. You never know with Coney Islands, but this one exceeded our expectations. And my neice LOVED the chicken noodle soup, I guess all of the soups are homemade. I love Leo's Coney Island! They're much better than Kerby's Koney Island in my opinion. We usually come to this location since it's really close to home, but service is typically slow here. That's the only downfall. Friday/Saturday during lunch time is sheer madness! This place is pretty big, but it's difficult to find an empty table. Once you do find a table, it takes some time for a waitress to come over. It's like they don't have enough waitresses working to accommodate the rush. I went today (Monday late lunch) and device was actually really good. Waitress was prompt, place wasn't packed, and the food came out quick! I'd give it 5 stars if not for the slowness of Fridays & Saturdays. So, I guess if you go on those days for brunch/lunch, expect a wait. Your visit should be good aside from that. read more

When our order was missing a small greek salad and no fries with the 2 coney special we called the restaurant. Whoever answered assured us he packed the order himself and that we were wrong. We had the order in front of us and were positive the salad and fries were not in the bag, He told us there was nothing he could do and to call Grubhub. Leo's has always been predicable and that's good. You go there knowing what to expect. However, the mystery is always the employee. They can make/break a restaurant. In our experience today, Angel was, an angel. She is very personable and friendly with an easy smile. Very disappointed at this Leo's Coney. First time visiting this location. My first issue was the restroom, it was filthy and it was 9am, I would have expected a halfway clean bathroom that early in the AM. The next disappointment was my meal a ham and cheese omelette and hash browns. My hash browns were under cooked (I ordered extra crispy) and my omelette was terrible all the ham and cheese was in a small pile in middle. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is that my waitress was very nice and I tipped her appropriately for that. read more

Even though I am a Chicago dog addict, I do love Leo's Coney Island. I only get to come here once a year and it is always a good fattening meal. They have the best Greek salads that I think I have ever had. A small size is enough for 2 people. I also get the Kosher Coney with cheese and onions with a basket of chili cheese fries. It is a pretty small restaurant but they are quick with the food. They also offer takeout. I noticed they are very busy at breakfast time. The breakfast looks really good (huge pancakes and omelettes). The place is clean and they always have 1 or 2 people going around with a trash can cleaning. read more

I don't think this location has a toaster or a griddle because the bread is never toasted and the hash browns are never cooked. The bacon sucks. And they also forget parts of my order every single time. The only reason we've ever gone here more than once is because they're always open when the good places aren't. This Leo's is located just north of my workplace- once you get through the massive traffic circle, it's just a few hundred feet further on the left hand side of the road. Each day there is a special, otherwise it's your standard Leo's. Consistently good food and service, plenty of variety on the menu to please anyone in your group. Even during the lunch rush on weekdays, the service is fast and friendly so you're back to work on time. My favorites include the greek salad, gyro, chicken lemon rice soup, and chili cheese fries. read more

Went to this particular restaurant after doing business at kohls at 10 am , today , place has 5 tables with customers already eating , sat at table near the door waited for staff to acknowledge our presence &or get our orders , nobody came , inspite of 2 waitresses sitting at table near cashier's talking to each other ,&2 staff standing by cash register , talking , waited for a while , nobody came , as if they didn't see us , but all of wait staff looked straight at us ,so after a long wait , we got up & left , one of them called out as we were leaving asking "is there a problem MAA'M" , I didn't respond because I don't want to be part of playing ignorant / stupid, in my mind I do have an answer , we're ASIANS & everyone in the store was WHITE , I usually go to restaurant on 12 mile & that place is friendly & provides fast service , busy or not , if you ever plan to eat at this restaurant , I recommend reading reviews about this place , they should be closed for very poor service & poor quality of food ( per other people's reviews ) . read more
