This restaurant has recently opened in my neighborhood and I finally got a chance to try it the other night. I went it to order takeout but realized as soon as I stepped in that it's a nice place to dine-in. There was two tables of friends and families having several dishes and I made a note of the ribeye for the next time I visited. But this time I was in a mood for drunken noodle with chicken and Thai wings. I brought them back home to share with my husband and we loved the Thai wings. It wasn't too spicy and was full of flavor. You can taste the lemon and basil with each bite. The drunken noodles were tasty but the chicken in it could have used som salt. I do plan on going back to try the rest of their dishes for a family night out.

Came here today for a belated birthday for my friend. I've heard decent reviews about this place and was excited to try. Came at 6pm on a Thursday and there was no wait. Our server was friendly. Roti- was not a fan, the roti itself wasn't crisp enough and the curry sauce was too watery and sweet that nothing stuck to the roti itself. Rating -1.5/5 Mango salad- 3.5/5 my friend liked it I ate the cashew cause I don't eat mango but it's his birthday so imma let him live GrilledMarinated prime rib eye 3/5- honestly I had high hopes for this dish cause my friend had recommended it and it was part of their super special menu, didn't have enough char and was a bit over cooked for my liking. Sever didn't ask us how we liked our steak. Sauce that went with it was okay Volcano crab fried rice 3.5/5 this was probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Not enough crab meat in my opinion for the price but the flavor was good. ( doesn't compare to Bangkok degree in park slope) but still decent Thai ice tea- 3/5 a bit too sweet for my liking but I would reorder if I came back.

Some hits and some misses. Massaman Roti - MISS The roti was thick and felt undercooked, the texture was chewy and doughy. My cousin loved it. Thai Iced Tea - HIT One of the best I've had! Not super sweet and flavor was good. Fried Rice - HIT Pretty good :) Pad Thai - HIT But DON'T get the shrimp.. the big shrimp tasted so off and weird. The small shrimp were fine and the rest of the pad thai was really good. Chicken Satay Skewers - MISS They were a bit off. Chicken seasoning was weird. Cousin liked them. staff was nice and the inside decor was pretty :)

If it's Thai food, I'm always down to try it! Came to Lert Ros Thai Food on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. We ordered the Lert Ros sampler and the green curry with chicken. We also wanted the mango sticky rice, but the staff told us the mango wasn't fresh; major letdown because that's honestly my favorite part of the meal. The green curry was pretty good! We got mild but it still had a good kick to it. The sampler had a little bit of everything; fried calamari, curry puff, egg roll, shrimp roll, chicken satay, and a chive pancake. My faves were the curry puff and chive pancake. They super flavorful with great texture. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were nice and attentive. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area--and hopefully they have mango sticky rice next time!

    Drunken noodle with shrimp

My family and I dined here last 1-2 weeks ago. I called ahead and made a dinner reservation and requested a high chair for my baby. I was happy they had one we could use. The ambiance was nice. It seemed like a nice place. We each ordered our own entree and one appetizer which included: Calamari, pad see ew, (2) drunken noodle (one with chicken and the other with shrimp), and a seafood dish. The Calamari was good. My drunken noodle dish - I requested it to be made mild, but it was spicy. My husband ordered drunken noodle with chicken and requested it to be mild too and his was mild. I'm not sure why mine was spicy. I told the staff and they remade my dish which was nice of them. When I finally got my dish, it was still a little spicy but much better than the first time. I also felt the shrimp wasn't fresh because when I got home I didn't feel so good and had stomach issues. My father in law said his seafood dish was okay. He thought the seafood wasn't fresh.

Service is not the greatest, but I guess ok. Don't even know what to expect these days. She was nice enough to refill our water. We asked for hot/warm water and she just left without saying anything but mins later appear with it. Food is ok. The drunken noodles portion was teeny and the noodles were a bit overcooked. Tamarind duck was as expected pretty sweet. We asked for sauce on the side but we were told it was not possible. The creamy Tom yum was delicious but small. It had a big prawn, unfortunately not fresh. Overall, good but not extraordinary

Lert Ros replaced the old Pad Thai Kitchen here. With Lert Ros, the place definitely got a face lift with trendier, more modern decor. I came on a weekend for lunch but would love to come again on a weekday for their lunch specials -- which seems to be great deals! I ordered the pad kee mao with level 3 spice (4 being the highest). I can handle pretty spicy food but the server warned me their spice is pretty high so I didn't want to take the risk on my first experience here. Turns out the spice was pretty spicy so I did. However, note that the spice might not be consistent based on future visits after the initial visit. Food was flavorful and the Thai tea is sweet and freshly brewed. They were still brewing it when I ordered so I had to wait a bit to get the drink.

Came here on a weekday to try out their lunch specials. They have a pretty value lunch special on weekdays from 11:30-3pm. You can order their selection of entrees + a choice of spring roll or chive pancakes and also a small soup. Depending on the meat choice, it's about $12-13. We tried the green curry and the pad see ew. The complimentary soup was quite delicious but portion was so small. It was about half a bowl to soup. The complimentary choice of appetizer was so small too. It was a spring roll cut in half or two small pieces of the chive pancakes. The chive pancake was quite delicious. The entrees also felt like half portion sizes. The pad see ew was not bad but just felt like such a small portion. The green curry was a little spicy and was okay. Not the best green curry I've had. They also offer a free Thai tea for reviews. It's one per table. The kitchen closes for break between 3-4pm. The mango sticky rice looked quite good but didn't have a chance to try this time. Overall: the food is not bad but not mind blowing. The lunch special is a good price but the portion size definitely feels like a half portion.

    Ribeye Prik Khing
    Alvin Z.

The Prime Ribeye with Pad Prik King is so damn good. I thought it'd be a full steak, but it came as seared ribeye cubes--crispy edges, juicy inside, no complaints. Great mix of meaty and fatty bits that keep every bite interesting. Comes on a sizzling plate that is still roasting a bit when it hits the table. The pad prik khing sauce tastes like a spicier A1--didn't feel super "Thai" to me, but it works perfectly with the beef regardless. Comes with jasmine rice that pairs perfectly with this absolute banger of a dish. Restaurant itself is nice and clean with a cozy and homey yet upscale feel. Do note that the service was a tad on the slower side but the food more than makes up for it.

Interior design is very spacious and unique with its deep green and wooden decor. The music selection were pretty modern and calming, not too overpowering. The tables are well spaced apart where you don't feel like you're dining on top of other diners. The waitress was also very quick, friendly, and receptive. Ordered the drunken noodle and ribeye special where although the noodle itself were flavorful, the ribeye was quite bland. The waitress was kind enough to provide me some sauce on the side which helped a bit. Overall it was a decent dish and cooked perfectly medium rare. The ingredients they use and the way the dish was constructed was symbolic of authentic Thai and there is so much variety to try, so highly recommend coming here, especially for their very reasonable lunch menu! Looking forward to coming back to give them the 5* I know they're capable of! Thanks for reading and best of luck! (:

First time here and it's already on my list of places I'd come back to! My husband and I came for dinner and it was short wait before we got seated. The staff was very friendly and got everything out in timely manner. We ordered the crispy mango duck salad, volcano crab fried rice, prime rib with drunken noodles (medium) and finished with a mango sticky rice of course! Everything was delicious and we ended up having to take it home because we ate with our eyes haha I would recommend to friends or for date night!

    Appetizer Sampler
    Mei C.

Enjoyed my meal on the day of my visit. Ordered their appetizer sampler (27), which came with chicken and pork satay sticks/curry puffs/spring rolls and chive pancake. Curry puffs were super delicious and on point, while the pork satay and chive pancake was a bit tough to chew and bland. Decided to try the Grilled marinated prime Ribeye dish as per recommendation from the staff, and it was really good. The meat was very tender and juicy, and came with a bowl of rice. The Prawn pad Thai was just okay- shrimp was over-cooked and mushy. The meal itself was really good; especially the mocktail- Lychee spritzer, and the Mango Sticky rice dessert. Overall, will return to try other dishes on the menu.

The Mama Tom Yum Grilled River Prawns came with stir-fried instant noodles that were surprisingly tasty, well-seasoned and aromatic, and the prawns on top made it even better. The presentation was pretty eye-catching too. As for the Ground Pork Basil Fried Egg, it didn't have lemongrass, so it felt like it was missing a layer of aroma, but the minced pork was stir-fried until nice and dry, and mixing it with the runny egg yolk made for a satisfying combo over rice. The RUA Volcano reminded me a bit of American-style salt-and-pepper chicken, though not exactly the same--it had more of an American-Chinese vibe to it. The Thai Iced Tea wasn't overly sweet and had a stronger tea flavor, which I appreciated. The Butterfly Pea Lychee Soda was sweet and tangy, refreshing and light. Overall, each dish had its own standout point, and the meal definitely lived up to expectations.

Loved that every table had fresh flowers; you can tell they really care about the little details. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)

Had been passing this spot for years and finally had the chance to stop in…read more Host was polite and quickly sat us without a reservation - we wanted to sit outside and there was room thankfully. Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
