I had an appointment for a tire rotation and alignment. When I got there, the woman at the counter said they were a little backed up and the alignment would take an hour. She asked if I was going to wait in the lobby, I said yes. An hour later, I got up and saw my car parked in the exact same spot I left it. When I asked the same woman, she said, "oh we're backed up about an hour and a half." When I told her she hadn't mentioned that, she asked if I wanted to reschedule. Given that she didn't seem to respect my time or the meaning of "appointment," I said no. I later called and talked to a management person, who also seemed to think it was reasonable for me to wait an hour and a half before my car would be serviced for it's "appointment." My husband and I found that a screw had gotten stuck in one of our new tires and we were on our way to a flat so we hurried over to Les Schwab as it was the nearest tire place to our location. I will note that this was our first time there and we bought our tires from a Toyota dealership so we didn't know what to expect. I explained the problem and they said that it'd take an hour to get the car in because they had a fair number of cars to deal with which was fair enough (lots of people were waiting). Waiting was pretty pleasant though as they have fresh popcorn (delicious), coffee, tea, water, Wi-Fi, and television. The car was ready about an hour and twenty minutes later and I had been told it would only cost $14 to repair. It's free to have flats fixed if you bought your tires there, but we did not. When I went to pay, their serviceperson smiled so kindly and told me there was no charge and it was an easy fix. Everything about the experience was above and beyond expectations and I am inspired to buy my next set of tires from Les Schwab given that service level and the friendliness of the staff. read more

I took my car in for a super basic service. I literally just wanted to have the tires balanced. I told him that they were less Schwab tires and that there should be no charge. I left my car with the company and went to lunch with a friend down the block. An hour and a half later, they had just taken a look at my car, and Called to inform me that I needed new tires. The ones on my vehicle had less than 35,000 miles on them... I told him no and that I just wanted to have the tires balanced And I would be back shortly. When I returned, I was told that "typically" they would be a charge for this service, but since I had declined the new tires and they "hadn't really done anything" That my service was free of charge. Come to find out later, they literally didn't do anything. My tires were never even balanced. 0/10, one location may have ruined my life long relationship with Les Schwab. I do not recommend going to Les Schwab for your vehicle! I went there for tires this morning, and they said that I urgently needed to fix the $500+ in repairs that they discovered. I left without new tires and got a second opinion--brakes are fine and no leaky shocks. What a bunch of crooks! read more

I used to really like this place but my visits in the last few years have not been good at all. Went in last year and had tires rotated and they told me that my front brakes were completely worn out. Went to my repair shop and they measured them and there was still 30% left. Then recently I went in to have a tire fixed that had a slow leak. They pulled my car in the garage and while I watched from the show room floor they peeked at the tires, walked around it for a while and then came back and told me the tire was not repairable as the leak was in the edge. The tires were getting down, but I had enough tread to finish the year. They didn't even test for the leak, just decided I had to buy new tires. I eventually did, but not there. read more

I would highly advise avoiding this business. It has become clear that the mechanics are inept, unable to recognize a simple rotor problem despite my statement that the problem I had originally brought the vehicle in for was a brake issue. Instead, they claimed it was a control arm causing the issue. $250 later, with a new control arm, I leave and the vehicle is still having the same issue. I bring it back, and now all of a sudden they 'legally' cannot remove the tire for another inspection (only three weeks after the control arm replacement) because the tire was beginning to delaminate. The vehicle had hardly been driven during that time. Why was the delamination problem not recognized in the first place? Forced to agree to purchase a new tire before they can do the inspection, only to receive a call shortly after that aha! it was a rotor issue. AS WE HAD INFORMED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. Now, they attempt to charge $250 for two new tires, $400 for brakes/rotors and refuse to return the vehicle until we at least pay for a new tire. Absolutely absurd that they cannot absorb the costs of their own error. I am willing to pay for the initial problem, not their ridiculous mistakes. Absolutely the worst service I have ever encountered for an automotive shop. read more

Hands-down the best customer service in Eugene... I have gone there multiple times for a nail, screw in my tire and they don't even blink once about helping me for free. Not only have they taken out nails and screws, but they have also rotated and balanced my tires for free! I think it was free because my tires are still from the factory. My parents went to Les Schwab and I will continue the tradition as long as there is one around where I live. I trust them implicitly with the care of my vehicles. I recommend this location in particular.. Sometimes the wait is long, but hey, they have free popcorn, clean bathrooms, shiny floors, tv, and a friendly staff! What more can you ask for? read more

Two hour wait while they take the profitable jobs over my "free" flat tire repair. They have a different line for those "free" services. I gave them 2 stars because they were good to me eight years ago. And after two hours they won't repair the flat because the tires worn too much on the inside. I normally love Led Schwab stores. But this one is horrible and I will not ever go back to it. I had my tires rotated and THEY LEFT THE LUG NUTS ON ONE OF MY TIRES LOOSE!!! I couldn't believe that a place that is supposed to specialize in tires could make such a huge mistake! I called to complain and was told a manager would call me back to acknowledge they received my complaint but they never called back, of course. One other friend told me that the same thing happened to her tire after going to this store. Not only is this extremely sloppy service but it could have been extremely dangerous if I had not tightened the nuts myself after noticing their mistake. read more

If you are a young woman avoid going here if possible, or be prepared for employees to try to rip you off. There is some serious sexism and ageism going on at this particular location (I can't speak to other Les Schwab locations in Eugene). I recently went in to buy chains for my car and the guy who helped me out told me they only had $90 chains available. I told him I had heard that they sold chains for about $30. The guy provided me with no information about different types of chains and said they didn't have cheaper ones for my car type. When I told him I was going to shop around to see if I could find something more affordable, he looked up what they ACTUALLY had in stock and mysteriously found a pair that would fit my car for $30. Disappointing that this type of overt sexism and poor customer service still exists in car repair shops today. read more

i just had exceptional service from les schwab (which is what i always get here) not only did they repair my flat for free, since i bought my tires from here, they also replaced the chains that broke during the ice storm... for free. i bought them more than 1 yr ago. wow!!! I received the best costumer service here! My car battery had died yesterday and just wouldn't start with a jump or anything. I needed a new one. I had more time today so I called this morning and Joan was very very helpful. She had what I needed and it was ready to go. I contemplated how'd I get it to my car, I planned on walking over and getting it to install myself but walking the 10+ blocks (one way) to get the battery seemed a little unrealistic for me. I called back and was thankful to talk to Joan I asked her how much it would cost to deliver and if they even did that. She let me know the price and said it included the installation! I was very grateful and amazed. Cody came to my house about 1 hour later and installed it. My car is up and running perfectly. I thought I'd have to wait longer than an hour because I know how busy they get and did not have an appointment. I was blown out of the water by how helpful and convenient this whole experience was for me. Thank you again Joan and Cody for getting my car up and running. The team at Les Schwab is always courteous, helpful and reliable. They have never tried to "upsell" us for repairs that were not needed, and on several occasions have told us that repairs were not needed when we brought our vehicles in (didn't need new brakes yet like the dealership had told us and didn't need new tires yet when they had some mileage left on them). The worst replacement specialists going - total scammers. I used them in the early 90's and over the years they got worse and worse. Can you get a decent set of tires that are well-balanced here, from hard working folks? Yes. You'll also be overcharged and 99 times out of 100, they'll find all sorts of things that 'need to be fixed'. They are replacement specialists. If you take your car to another place w/ some integrity and ask about the issues les schwab said your car has, you'll understand what I'm writing. Take your car to LS and they'll find bad struts, torn cv boots, brakes, etc, that might even be 'dangerous to drive on or cause damage to your car' - guaranteed . The parts LS uses are lowest grade chinese. Worse, LS folks will stare you right in the eye and say they only use the highest quality parts available. That's their scam: They market a clean-cut, all-American workforce, that busts their butts for you. Shame on them. They're employee owned and all get a piece of the action - the motivation is their to make sure you spend as much as possible. The rest is just very savvy marketing and implementation of that marketing. Sad read more

This is my first and last dealing with Les Schwab. I was quoted a price over the phone and when I get to the store it's $50 more than what I was told. They didn't seem to care that I was giving conflicting information. Being new to the area, I didn't feel like searching for another store to go to at the time, so they are lucky to get my money this time. read more

I have been going to les schwab for over ten years my family for probably as long as they have been around. I have always loved the service as well as the staff but today... The service I received was horrible. There was two other customers besides my self. An employee came out walking I might add (I thought they use to be required to run) and told me I needed to replace a couple tires fair enough. However the look he gave me almost made me leave that look of there is no way you will be able to pay for this so thanks for wasting my time. However I smiled at him and agreed. When I went to the counter after he left, to ask why when I looked at their add and did the math and they did the math theirs was some how $100 dollars more than mine, they acted like I inconvenienced them asking why? Than as I sat there about an hour and 30 minutes in total (I wasn't watching the time but it was about an episode and a half of gold rush) to replace 2 tires I started to realize maybe Les Schwabs is not what it use to be. To wrap up the deal I could have been out 15 or 20 minutes earlier because my car was sitting in the parking lot. So I finally walked up to the counter and as I did a lady said "Oh are you blah blah blah your car is ready." So in short Les schwabs really let me down today. This place has tried to scam me in the past, and so for that reason, I have steered clear for many years. Recently I figured I would give them another chance with my business and went to the 18th and Oak location in Eugene. On this trip, I ended up dealing with both the assistant and general manager of the location. Both managers separately, clearly tried to take advantage of the fact they believed I was clueless, this however is not the case. When I proceeded to call them out on their blatant attempt to scam me, they decided it was time for me to leave and quickly escorted me in a testosterone filled manner to my car. His hands were visibly shaking as he rudely pointed at me telling me what I didn't know and to "get out." I am totally blown away by this management team, and for that matter, what seems to be a company policy to try and take advantage of people. In an industry such as the automobile industry, where for so many years there has been a tainted record and view on it, it is sad to see a company still operating with these principals. read more
