Best tire shop! Getting new tires can be a pain, not only time and money, but the waiting! I went in first thing on a Saturday, 8:15 am, the lobby was packed. I asked how long, Pat said he would have me out by 10 am. At 9:40 am my truck was ready! This is the only tire shop that has quoted me a time and been early! I went with Back Country All Terrain because I drive all over the country and I drive hundreds of miles daily pulling a trailer. I burn through tires quickly. Been coming to this location for 15+ years; always quick, and no problems. It's usually to patch up a leak, or get new tires. I remember having a flat and they sent out someone to come help and made sure I got back to the shop. The one time we had a problem, they fixed it right away, and added a few on for no charge. Best service ever! I had a hole in my tire from a razor blade that AAA (who I also love) couldn't find. As soon as I parked I was immediately greeted and helped. Always amazing service here. The people are nice and greet you with a smile. I came in my tire pressure monitor came on and I saw there was a nail in the tire. They fixed the tire and put the tire back on for me. They even checked my other tires. Needed to break off my wheel lock nuts since I had lost my wheel lock key. I come in and sit down and notice my iPhone is close to dead. On top of an already long crazy day and my phone on 2%. My car was driving poorly so I took it here to see what was up. They said a tire rotation would help. I also informed them that there was a grinding noise going on and asked them to check that out as well. They did the tire rotation and said my brakes were fine. Just a little over 1,000 miles have gone by yet the car still shimmied. And the grinding noise is still going on. Today I took it to another mechanic to have it checked out and they said my brakes were shot and the pads needed to be replaced. One brake pad was ground down all the way to the rotor. When I was told by Les Schwab that the brake pads had 5-6mm left I believed them. But the 2nd opinion mechanic showed me and actually gave me the brake pads. They were both front brake pads and in bad condition. I walked up the street to Les Schwab and asked them how this could be. I was informed that someone didn't look at them careful enough and that "We lost a brake job." Yeah, I'd say so. I also informed him that the car still shook at 60 mph and he said it could be a faulty tire, almost seeming to ask me to bring it back in. Ha! I told him I was sure the new place would be a able to fix it. What if I had been in a wreck because of faulty brakes? Pretty disturbing to me. read more

Very Disappointed. I ordered 4 tires on Monday with an appt date for Tuesday AM. Pat assured me the tired I needed were in stock. Upon arrival, they told me they only had 3 in stock. Offered me a long delay for them to get one from another dealer. But what they really wanted was for me to upgrade and spend an additional $100. I felt this this was a deliberate scam to up sell. We've always come here for tires, brakes and alignment. The staff is friendly and I can usually get out of here pretty fast. A couple of weeks ago we came here to get two tires for my Toyota. We were able to get in and out within about 1.5 hours. The people were friendly and helpful with providing me with some options for tires. I will say though their prices are a bit more expensive than Tire Factory but the customer service here is much better. We also came and got the alignment done here. After replacing our tire I noticed the car was leaning towards the right. I got all four wheels aligned for $83.50. This is a pretty good deal and it only took about an hour with an appointment. I also like that even if they don't have appointments available you can drop off your car and they will work on it throughout the day. They are a bit more expensive for tires, but the service here is very good. read more

Every time I am at this location, I am always disrespected. Horrible customer service. They had my appointment scheduled for the wrong time, and while they were checking me in, the man kept asking the woman to 'deal with this'. I never once got angry or even slightly rude, they just right off the bat made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This happened yesterday, and right now I am at the Les Schwab in Clackamas off 212, and I IMMEDIATELY felt an incredibly different atmosphere and I can breath a sigh of relief knowing my car is FINALLY in good hands. Oh Les Schwab, how much do I love thee? A whole dang lot! Your customer service is amazing! Never-fail friendliness, fast service, pleasant people at the front desk. Service done when they say it will be. Great products in every way. My classic LS story is one day when because of my own oversight, I ended up in a ditch (long story, don't ask) on Hogan Road with my 94-year old dad in law with me (who stayed cool as a cucumber, I might add, and even laughed!) Pat from Les Schwab Gresham happened to be driving by shortly afterwards, pulled his pickup over to a parking area across the road, and came over to make sure we were okay and if we needed help (it was already on the way). Pat didn't need to stop. But he did. And that over the top care only increased my determination to stay a Les Schwab customer for life. We get all our tires and batteries here; they take care of our brakes, alignments and whatever else they provide that we need. They fix flats for free if you've bought tires there, and get you fixed up asap. If there were 10 stars, Les Schwab would get them all. Other companies should take customer care lessons from this amazing local business. read more

I went in for a battery check and was told it's going to take 45 minutes, so i figure why not check the brake as well. Prior to coming to Les Schwab my car was not making any noise nor was I aware of any kind of sound from my brakes. Now it's making noise like a 5-10 seconds long screeching sounds. Come on Les Schwab are you that desperate for customers? my brakes were fine, noise free, now it seems it's got problems which will then require my money to pay you to fix it. So disappointed wish I had install my own hidden camera to expose your scam that seems to be unnoticed. Lesson here, do not come here especially if you do not have any account and make sure you do a video of your vehicle and or install a camera to record the maintenance being done on your vehicle. Btw the reason I came here was the battery it was bad as I bought a battery tester and test it myself. So they (Les Schwab) rip me off by informing me that my battery was fine which it was not and damage my brakes and actually gave me a quote to replace them for $527.00! Really? We live in Dayton, Oregon and because they always go the extra mile for us we will always go the extra miles for them also. Great service. Came in for an alignment, and they didn't charge me a dime because they said frame repair would be a better route, come back after the standard alignment on the frame repair wears off. However, the first time I came in, they did do an "alignment" which was terrible and worse than my car before. It was after coming back in they realized it was because of frame damage, and they refunded me. They shouldn't have even put the car on the road with that abysmal alignment. Can't complain, I got my car problem diagnosed for free -- just had to come in twice. read more

Did they use my situation to hard sell me for tires? No they did not. They said my tires were in great shape and handed me my keys with a smile. This place is SHIT. I had an appointment to get an alignment on my car done and waited for over an hour for this older gentlemen named Jason to come over and tell me that they DIDN'T DO MY ALIGNMENT. Then he started laughing and said I hate to be the bearer of bad news (still laughing) and pulled out a quote for over $700.00 dollars!!! Because apperantly my front arm bars are broken. All while LAUGHING AND SMILING as he read the "bad news." I told him that I didn't have the money to do any of this and he said "oh well." Then he said they aren't going to do my alignment without doing all this shit first. So I took the quote and left. NOT COOL. Very rude customer service and they are totally trying to rip me off. This place is incredibly slow. I was told it would be about 45 minutes to an hour. There was no more than three other customers in the lobby, sounded reasonable to me. I waited... And waited... saw cars come and go... thought maybe I didn't hear my name called and I was done? Nope.. A little over two hours later and I can see my car still hasn't moved from the parking lot where I left it. The last time I was in here the same thing happened where I was told it would be 45 minutes and ended up spending 3.5 hours here. I don't know where they were taught to read and estimate time, but I think it would be a helpful tool for them to use. I wouldn't be so annoyed had they just worked with more integrity and honesty. Hopefully I can get out of here before another hour passes... Both incidents were to just get a nail removed from a tire. I don't believe it should take this long. Update: it took about 2.5 hours to pull a nail (1.5 hours longer than told) and apparently they charge to have that fixed now. I had just bought the tires from them a little over a week ago. I stopped by one of their competitors this morning, because it happened to be closer to me. When someone finally acknowledged my presence, I was told it would be two hours before they could even look at my tire. So I went a little farther to get to Les Schwab. In sharp contrast, a friendly serviceman came out to greet me before I even got out of my car. He found the problem right there in the parking lot. A nail. I'm like a magnet for getting things like that stuck in my tires. Nails, screws, even a bolt once. Anyway, they were able to patch it. I was there maybe 10 minutes in total. And it was no charge. Amazing customer service. I've always had good to great experiences with any Les Schwab I've ever patronized. I bought my first-ever set of tires from them back in the late 80s. I paid a large amount for tires (4) for my vehicle 10 days ago in Portland, OR. The salesman made a big deal for 'lifetime warranty ' and ' les schwab will take care of you and your tires'. Well, I'm home where is no Les Schwab in the city or anywhere near. When I called to find out how to get a air leaking tire fixed, I was told that the warranty only applied to the dealer where I bought the tires and I would have to pay for a tire fix or new tires. Not really loving Les Schwab right now. Bought chains in Clarkston, Idaho after realizing I left mine at home and there was snow forecast ahead. I was traveling to the Midwest. There was no mention of not being able to return the chains if I didn't use them UNTIL AFTER APRIL 1st. I called in this morning with an emergency need of inspection and a wedding 1.5 hours away with little time left before I would be late. I think it was Dan (not sure if I got that right) that took my call and he was great; got my ticket going over the phone. These guys got me in and had me on my way without running late. My daughter called because she needed a tire repair. Then asked if you had her tires in stock. The guy who answer the phone told her She had the wrong number and She told him that's what's on the tires. He then said She did something wrong and put her on hold. He came back on the line and told her it would be 525.00 for four tires. She's asked if they had anything cheaper and her said NO. You drive a BMW like since She drives that type of car She shouldn't complain about the price of tires. She was so offended that She hung up one the guy. She drives a BMW with low profile tires. Was traveling on vacation by rental car from Spokane to Portland when the low tire pressure indicator came on. Yelp identified a tire repair shop near to us (Les Schwab on Burnside in Gresham). Stopped to get the tire repaired and thought most of our day in Portland was lost. However, within 1 hour the problem was identified, the tire patched and we were on our way. They were very knowledgeable and customer oriented. No payment was requested. They just said "hope to see you again sometime". They will. They saved the day! read more

I was taught in business school that Les Schwab was renowned for their customer service, but I think their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I simply wanted to change my summer tires for my studded winter tires, both on their own sets of rims which were purchased from Les Schwab. They told me they do not take appointments and to come on in, it would only take about 30 minutes. After an almost 2 hour wait, they finally got to me. Then they told me they would not change my tires because of they did not have senors. It is a "new" law this year mandatory for all cars. They wanted $300 to put new caps on my tires. I was already there longer than expected, and could not afford it, nor wait to have them do this. BAIT AND SWITCH. The technician said they should have told me this when I checked in, and they did not. They had all of the vehicle and tire info, that they pulled from my license plate. They knew exactly what tires I was switching, so you think they could have told me when I got there. No they wanted to do it after I waited for two hours. Unbelievable. Then when I go to look at this law, it is not what they said it was. This law was passed in Jan 1 2012, not this year. And it only applies to year 2007 or newer vehicles, or vehicles with a TPMS. My car is a 2005 and does not have this. So they lied to me to make a sale. Their staff was poorly educated on the subject, and was not friendly. I was just talking about Les Schwabb being great customer service to some of my coworkers, now all they are going to hear is to never go there again. '' I called another tire store which actually explained to me the law, and looked at my vehicle to see if I needed them. After seeing that I did not, it took them a whole 5 minutes to change my tires. After this experience, I do not think I will ever be back at a Les Schwab again. read more

Called a lock smith to meet there only to find out they never locked the keys inside, they just lied about it.. still had to pay the locksmith ourselves and les schwab has no part in trying to fix the problem.. just said "dang sorry about that." read more

The burnside in Gresham location is the absolute best ! The customer service is astounding. I am a young lady that knows little about anything car related so when I had a issues with my tires they hooked me up ! They explained everything in depth and gave me options so I did not feel pressured to buy the most expensive set of tires .
