My daughter took her car in to get two tires replaced to come home from college for thanksgiving. Almost had her buying two expensive tires without telling her that there were options of other tires. I have spent thousands of dollars at Les Schwab in Moscow over the years. Tires, wheels and front end work, all for a 2500 Ram pick-up, so none of this work was cheap. I call for an appointment for a tire rotation and re-balance. They tell me I don't need a reservation and just come in around 8AM and leave it all day. He says they always leave open spots for walk-ins. I guess walk-ins are for people buying something other than the free services they are so proud to tell you about when they are trying to sell you something. I go in about 8:05am for the rotation and they asked me if I have an appointment, no I don't. Can't do it and tell me it would be next Thursday at 3pm. I say forget it, I will go to Lewiston instead. My girlfriend has also bought all her tires from Moscow Les Schwab. She wanted her winter tires siped. When we went to pick it up and I looked at the tires, they were not siped properly. The salesman looks at them and says they're fine, I called BS and proved to him they were wrong. they re-siped them. She changes out her winter tires, all ok until I find a lug nut rolling around in the back of her car with a broken stud in it. Look at the wheels and yep, there is a wheel with a missing lug nut. No notes or inf about it at all. They want it for 3 hours for a 15 minute job! Never again will I go back to Moscow. It's not the same since Les passed away! read more

Took my pickup in to get it aligned, they came back and told me that my balljoints had play and that they could not align it, gave me a quote for $800 to replace them. I went and got 2nd & third opinions and both told me nothing was remotely close to wrong with them. Another time they told me that they needed to replace my studs on my wheels for me , and gave me a quote for $300 EACH stud.. 300x24. Terrible place to rely on for anything! read more

I've used Les Schwab for years, because they are very reliable, and they do what they say. They are not always the cheapest, but they are never out of line or they always communicate what needs done, what they must do (not always the same) and a close estimate. I've never been surprised. Above all, they are service and customer oriented. Let me tell one story. I drove across my state on a weekend - 300 miles each way. On the way back, my vehicle started bouncing in a way that made it dangerous to drive. I was at the halfway location, it was Sunday and Les Schwab was closed in Ellensburg, WA, where the problem became severe. I called anyway and left a message, really hoping to be first in line Monday morning. 30 minutes later I got a call from Les Schwab, the owner or manager offered to come in and put an old wheel and tire on if he had one. HE DID EXACTLY THAT, on a Sunday afternoon and I got home later that night. That's just one story. I have a few. Trust your car to these people. read more

My 19-year-old daughter noticed a piece of metal in her tire. She tried to drive it slowly to the Les Schwab on White Avenue in Moscow. When she was about a half mile from the store, the tire popped and went flat. She called the Les Schwab store. They sent a technician out to her. He removed the wheel with the flat tire and put her spare tire on so she could drive her car to the store. Once there, they repaired the flat, remounted the wheel, and stowed her spare for her. They did not charge her a nickel. This is a classic demonstration of excellent customer service. She was overjoyed with the help extended to her, and I am equally impressed. We bought two front tires in July with a 45,000 warranty. In December we had a rear flat fixed and ordered studded tires. It took a few days less than a month to get the studded tires in. In January, they put the studs on and disposed of our front tires that had 12,000 miles on them, along with the back tires that we were planning on replacing in the spring. They charged us for the disposal. When I went in to ask why they disposed of the front tires they told me there was no notes but most likely an alignment issue. So I asked the young lady helping me, why tires that were still under warranty were disposed of, why we didn't have a credit or anything, and I was shocked that they charged us to dispose of two tires under warranty without any notes or explanation as to why. So, we go in to get our studs taken off and are handed a safety check. Our alignment is great. The car only has 34,000 miles on it in total. We had been waiting months to hear back from their manager regarding the tires tossed while under warranty, with them telling us the problem was most likely the car... Always being told he will call us, they even told us at one point we should have reached out sooner. Like the other attempts never happened. I go in today and asked directly to speak with the manager and am told he is unavailable. I say, may I schedule an appointment with him. That is also not an option. After waiting months for a call that obviously wasn't happening I asked for all the invoices for that car and warranties. I look, and they charged to dispose of the studded tires they just removed that are in my drive way! I point that out, and pretty much wasn't going to leave until the manager helped me. In the end, after months, they gave me 50% credit for the tires that they tossed under warranty because they couldn't say why they were bad. I'll take what I can get at this point. Never once did a manager help me. I could hear him in his office, but never once did he come out. Always ask for your invoice, and if you had tires changed due to the season and keep your other tires make sure they didn't charge you to dispose of the tires in your back seat. I have used them for 20 years. Sad to go somewhere else, but I also don't have money to burn for no reason. read more

I called on a Monday to ask about a road noise issue my mom's car was having. Tires or alignment? Thoughts? The guy on the other end thought probably tires and said they'd take a look, but wanted to set aside tires just in case she needed them. We agreed on the cheapest because a) she's on a fixed income; b) it's basically a same for same of what's on there; and c) it was just a hold -- if the car didn't need tires, it was moot point. He understood that the big issue was road noise. Keep in mind that my mom lives out in the boonies about an hour away. So we went to our appointment the next day and an hour later the guy comes back and new tires are on the car. Um, okay. I guess we're getting new tires and the old ones were bad? "They weren't that bad." WTF? But with my mom there I don't want to make a stink and I think, well, maybe this guy doesn't really know. I ask if they checked the brakes and he said they did, and everything is fine - I even double check and he looks over the paperwork. The guy takes off and we go to get in the car, but no keys. I go back in and the keys were behind the counter. I grab them and go. This is strike two. What he doesn't tell me is that in tiny fine print it says that the rotors show signs of rusting. This will come up in a bit... Off we go back down to the hills. The road noise is worse. Mom is cranky AF and I'm, of course, to blame. By the time I get her home and fed, it's too late to call, so I call the next morning (Tuesday). The guy I speak to says that alignment checking isn't a part of the service and he doesn't know anything about my service, but bring it in and he'll have a look. First he tells me that I misunderstood the tire sales guy - uh, no - and that I wanted tires - yes, if they were needed. He tells me the tires must have been needed. Do we know for sure that new tires were needed? They must have been he tells me. Hmm. He can't get me in until Friday to check the alignment, but that or wheel bearings must be the problem. (Wheel bearings would make a totally different kind of noise -- I know from experience.) I called the Les Schwab in Pullman and they had an appointment available for Thursday, so I took it instead. They were also nicer (WAY less flip and dare I say, OBNOXIOUS), so I took the car there to be checked. Not only did they point out a broken muffler mount (minor problem in the road noise), but they pointed out how rusty the rotors were (which weren't mentioned, but were in the fine print of the receipt from the tire sale), but they also looked up the sale of the tires taken off a few days prior - THEY ONLY HAD 16K MILES ON THEM. Granted, 5 years ago. And the alignment? Barely off. More than a few people at the Pullman store agree that 5 years of wear should not have aged the tires to the point of needing replacement. So I go back to the Moscow store. I explain to the Assistant Manager the situation. His answer? To say that the situation should have been resolved the day the tires were purchased. (I would have loved to have resolved it then, but only if he wanted all heck to break loose with a thyroid problem 78-year old hangry lady... trust me, the Incredible Hulk has nothing on her in that state.) It's not like I was looking for a refund. To be honest I'm not sure what I was looking for. But I certainly wasn't looking to have the whole problem hoisted back as MY FAULT, when there's no way to know what the state of those tires was. They looked fine to me and no one documented their state when they took them off. I just couldn't figure out why they were so loud. We've always bought tires there going back 20+ years. And while we had great service at the store in Pullman, I don't think it makes up for the creepy service in Moscow. BUT, if you do shop here, document that you have your tires rotated. I believe the tires involved here were rotated, but I can't prove it. My brother took care of the car until his passing last November. He was good about doing this sort of thing. He'd do the maintenance with all his vehicles at his farm where he has the equipment. But without proof, there's NO WARRANTY. And if you are going to shop at Les Schwab, make sure you look at the tread on what's going away AND on what you're getting. Make sure you not only rotate every 5K miles, but check that they tighten the bolts. Personally, I'd make the drive to Pullman instead. Brian was awesome. Retired Navy guy. I really thought they took advantage of my wife. I travel on business a lot. When she took her car in to rotate the tires. They said this is the last rotation. She called me I told her to get a quote. They did so with 3 models. Upon research they had the best deal. But I really wanted to get them at Costco. She took the car in. She called me if the amount. It was around 100$ more than quite. The reason. They had to go up a size. Why I asked her. She said the guy must of red it wrong or entered a smaller size in. I feel this is a bait and switch. I was at the Moscow, Idaho store. My reservation lost. They were extremely nice to get my car done quickly even while it was very busy. I sat in the lobby almost the entire time. My car was done at 833am, no one bothered to notify me sitting there, they called my house, where I wasn't. I sat for 3 hours watching my car. Finally I went out saw my car had new tires, contacted the receptionist there, who lied to my face telling me they just finished it, which they hadn't. No apologies. I think the guys work hard there but communication is terrible. read more

I use this Les Schwab frequently for tire purchases, tire repairs, and alignments. They work hard and do the right thing. They read the tire size off my door frame wrong when giving me the quote. I didn't notice and went back later to buy the tires. I got all the way home and realized the car had the wrong tire size on it. I went back and they put the right size on even though they were more expensive tires and didn't charge me more. Les Schwab is a little more expensive, but they can be counted on. I buy tires at Costco too and the service is not as good there. read more

I drive here because I had low air in a tire, which every Les Schwab I've ever been to has run out to my car and I am in and out in just a few minutes... I pulled in here was looked at and was proceeded to be ignored by one guy, drive to the front where there was a whole bunch of workers and not one gave a single look my way. I don't have a tire gauge in my car so doing it myself wouldn't have been a good idea. read more

I've been taking my vehicle to Commercial Tire for years, but since the closest one is in Lewiston, I have started to use Les Schwab in Moscow. This location made right on a job done by the Lewiston Les Schwab last fall. They always check my tire pressure quickly and accurately. I recently had to have two tires put on, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! I was shocked. I could've saved money going to Costco, but I have been more than impressed with this location, so I think the price is worth the generous service. read more

I used to be Les Schwab's biggest fan and told everyone I knew. Their quality of tires keeps going down though and prices keep going up. They offer less choices than they used to and valve stems changed 20-ish years ago to cheap junk. We had over 30 flat tires, in a 7 year period, most of which were faulty valve stems... stopped happening when we bought tires elsewhere. When I told the manager a few years ago of our increase in flat tires they said "you and everyone else." It is not the service people's fault... but the corporation isn't really saving money on these lower quality tires and especially valve stems. They are paying more labor and losing customers. read more

Luckily a friend was able to jump my car but once I arrived to get my battery tested, they took care of me with prompt service and the staff was courteous and helpful. They have always been very friendly when I've gone in, repaired my flats quickly, have come to my house to fill flat tires so I could get to their shop to have them repaired, and given me new tires when mine had problems - all at no cost. I bought a used car and took it in to buy all season tires. I wanted to have the brakes looked at as well as any possible issues. I got my tires done pretty fast and the report came out glowing. However, less than a week later I hear sounds coming from the front end. Turns out the brakes were bad, I had to buy everything for the brakes job. Salesman said that if the rotors did not need turned it would be less. BIG surprise, another 450 bucks. Was that fair??? well the brakes needed changed. My problem was that they seemed to play it off like it was an honest mistake. It is a TRUST issue. One I won't repeat. read more

The only good thing I can say is at least they fix the junk they sell for free. The studded tires they sold for my vehicle were the Only option and they were not cheap. Every single week since install 1-2 flat tires, when I go in, it's at minimum 1 hour wait, everytime. And if wait time is longer, the employees seem to get a little kick out of telling you wait time as they say it with a little smirk on their face. Not impressed with product or customer service. I had a flat tire this morning! (Yay for Mondays) I called and they said to come right over, they checked and said they could patch my tire that day and put air in my spare tire that was a little flat as well. They called me with-in 30 minutes to say that my tire was all done. I pulled around and Anthony changed my tire right then and there. He even answered all my unrelated questions about this and that and didn't get annoyed that I was hovering and tell him how to put the spare tire back under my van. It was as pleasant as the experience of a flat tire can be. So Thank You to Les Schwab and specifically Anthony for being so nice, I now understand your 'my Les Schwab story' commercials and do not find them as annoying lol. read more

So disappointed with this location. I have lived in Seattle and Central Washington and always had Les Schwab as my go-to tire people for the past 30+ years. In October last year we blew a tire and had the car towed into this dealership. I bought 4 tires, but ask for something that would last a few years since I didn't know how long I would keep this car. They sold me some for about $700, but they did not carry a warranty. My bad because I figured, this is Les Schwab - they have to be OK tires. Although I had never heard of tire without any warranty, I bought these. In May of 2016 I had the car serviced at my dealer who suggested I better get tires very soon as those are almost completely shot. I was shocked and called Les Schwab where I was told in no uncertain terms that I bought tires that carried no warranty and they are sorry. I also found out that they didn't align the tires which probably added to the quick demise. I'm having these tires replaced tomorrow (11 months old) at the dealership for the same money as I wasted here with a 55k warranty, alignment and balancing. Two stars because I think they warm and nice people. Three stars off because they suckered me and sold me junk. My bad for buying without a warranty, but I will never return to Les Schwab and I've been telling all my local friends to be cautious. Incidentally, in the conversation I had with the person that identified them-self as the manager, I got some serious attitude and push-back. Not at all what I expected on what I feel was a legitimate gripe. As a side note, I have yet to find anyone else that is selling tires with no warranty. read more

The valve stem (thing where you put air in) on my front driver's side tire was leaking. Brought it into Les Schwab. Only had to wait about 20 minutes. When they called me up to pay, the woman behind the counter told me NO charge. I was shocked and thanked her. She told me to think about them the next time I need tires. I definitely will. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I had les schwab change out my winter tires to regular tires at the end of April. A month later I had one tire fly off while doing 60 mph on the highway. According to the mechanic it was due to not being tightened correctly. We were stranded in an expensive tourist town for two days paying for hotels and repairs until my car was fixed. The only bright spot was the fact that I had purchased a full size spare and wheel from les schwab before our trip so that was one less expense. Or so we thought until the mechanic went to put it on and it was the wrong wheel for my car. So there was an extra $100+ we had to pay. Make it a few hours further into our trip only to have the lug nuts on the passenger side tire nuts sheer off. So now we are over $1000 in expenses plus $2000 worth of damage to the body of my car when the tire flew off. Made a complaint with les schwab who decided that none of the damage was their fault. Not even the tire that they sold me that was clearly wrong for my car. read more

Seriously recommend this place for brakes over anywhere in Moscow. I originally had a rear brake diagnostic done at Point S, and they told i needed a simple pad replacement. However, when I took my car into point S to get the job done, the price went from 280 to over 800 due to the fact that I actually also needed new calipers as well as rotors. I went to Les Schwab to get a quote there, and they were able to get me new calipers, pads, and also grind my rotors down, costing me only around 300 total. This isn't supposed to be a rag on Point S, but the fact that Les Schwab gets their calipers at wholesale prices with pads included makes brake jobs unbelievably cheaper than almost anywhere else in town. The mechanics also seemed to be much more genuine and truthful than any other auto place I've used, which is a nice breathe of fresh air. I just wish they did oil changes so I could keep going there for everything. read more
