My wife punched a hole in the sidewall of one of her tires and I went to have it replaced on a Friday afternoon. However, it turned out they didn't happen to have the tire I needed in stock but did have it in Portland and could have it there on Monday. This wasn't a problem for me. However, when Monday came, it turned out my wife and had had a miscommunication and she wanted to have both the front tires replaced rather than just the one. So, at around noon, I called Hazel Dell Tire Pros and let them know about the situation. Although they had only gotten the one tire from Portland as we originally had discussed, they kindly sent somebody over to Portland again and picked up the second tire and had me out the door before 3 o'clock. Staff is helpful and friendly, and the prices seem reasonable.

When I got there, they had a two hour wait. I searched for a nearby tire shop and found Hazel Dell tire pros. I called and they had immediate availability. When I got there the man that I spoke with on the phone immediately checked out my tire in my trunk and told me I would need to replace it. He did a quote and it would've taken a day to get the tire which I didn't have because I had to head back home but the quote was very reasonable. He then double checked that I put the spare on correctly and tightened the bolts to make sure it was safe. He didn't charge me and was super friendly. I highly recommend this business. I'm not sure why people are willing to wait two hours for poor service, when friendly service is right around the corner!

Unfortunately, this Minnehaha location has been the complete opposite of what I have come to expect from Les Schwab. On more than one occasion, I have gotten the impression that some of the employees are more interested in talking over the customer than actually listening to what the customer is asking for. When I tell you what I want done to my vehicle, I expect you to listen first and then give me your professional opinion, not interrupt me or act like my business is an inconvenience. About a month ago, I went into this location specifically to get pricing on a suspension lift for my new 2026 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I spoke with an employee and explained what I wanted. He told me he wasn't qualified to answer my questions about the lift but would get someone who was. Fair enough. He went into the back, eventually came back out, and then said absolutely nothing to me. No "someone will be right with you," no estimated wait, no update, nothing. I was standing there as a customer prepared to spend several thousand dollars on a suspension job. At that point I gave them five more minutes. I literally set a five-minute timer on my watch. Nobody came over, nobody acknowledged me, and nobody gave me an update. When the five minutes expired, I walked out. I don't expect employees to drop everything the second I walk through the door. If the suspension person was busy, all somebody had to say was, "He's tied up right now and it'll be about 10 or 15 minutes." That's basic communication and basic customer service. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this has NOT been my experience with Les Schwab as a company. Other Les Schwab locations I have dealt with have been excellent. That's exactly why the difference at this particular store stands out so much. I have a nearly new Tacoma, I'm buying a 3-3.5-inch suspension lift, and I'm prepared to spend real money having it installed correctly. After my experiences at this location, they will not be getting that job. When a customer walks through your door ready to spend thousands of dollars, you shouldn't have to convince him to leave. You should have to convince him to stay. This location accomplished the opposite.

I was lucky enough to stop at Woodland Tire where the guys replaced my valve stem well after closing hours and got me back on the road. Just fantastic service and restored my faith in humanity!
