A year later they claimed rear brakes were 50%. Since she only works 2-3 days a week, I find that incredulous. I took my truck in to have a tire repaired that was leaking air that I had fixed at a Portland Les Schwab the day before. Sandy Les Shawn said it was unfixable and told me I needed all four new tires. I had a set in storage in Portland so I raced to town to pick them up and make it to the Les Schwab I go to in Portland. Got there and they said they could fix it and did. Sandy Les Schwab was just trying to sell me all new tires. They have pulled that BS before. Never go there unless you want dishonest employees. Wasted my time cause I was supposed to head to Redmond and if they would have fixed my tire I could of gone instead I hustled to Portland and missed my trip read more

We are very disappointed in the service we have received from this Les Schwab location. Our vehicle was taken to Sandy Les Schwab by the auto body shop repairing our vehicle after an accident. We specifically requested an inspection of the underbody because it was hit on the driver's front wheel area and had to be towed to the repair shop. We needed that information to decide whether or not to keep the vehicle. Champion Collision, the auto body repair shop, reported to us that the Les Schwab inspection said all the vehicle needed was an alignment. We kept the car based on the "report" from Les Schwab. However, after the car was repaired, the insurance inspection discovered a bent lower control arm and damaged tie rod ends! In trying to ascertain who misinformed us, we discovered there was no suspension check report from Les Schwab and that even the customary computer generated report given to all Les Schwab customers was missing. We wanted a complete and full report on the condition of our vehicle to make an informed decision about whether or not to keep our vehicle and that was not given to us. In trying to discover how the complete damage to our car was missed and why we were not given the full report of the damages to our vehicle, I spent a lot of time talking to Sandy Les Schwab as well as the Les Schwab customer service, but no one is willing to answer my questions. Where is the report for the "Suspension Check" that was on the Les Schwab invoice? Why is the computer generated report given to all Les Schwab customers missing? I've been told over and over that they found nothing wrong with our vehicle, but there are no reports to back up their claims. We have been customers of Les Schwab for over 40 years and trusted their work. They've stood by their work up until this incident. We understand mistakes happen. We would like to give them the benefit of the doubt. We do not understand why they are not taking responsibility for the missing reports, reports that would help us discover how the damage to our car was missed. We are upset that we were not given full disclosure as to the damage done to our vehicle, but to lose our faith and confidence in Les Schwab is also a great loss. read more

I have bought two sets of tires from these guys so far, and will certainly be buying more tires here, too, when the time comes. They have always treated me extraordinarily well, even going so far as to honor their service guarantee from my previous tire purchases there on my new car that had non-Schwab tires. Make sure you visit as early as you can in the day though, because the queue fills up quickly. When I come in for a rotation or flat repair, it usually takes about an hour and a half from drop-off to pick-up. They do allow you to schedule your service ahead of time, however. As for their tire prices, I think they're an excellent value, especially considering the services you are guaranteed for free with each tire purchase: rotations, balancing, flat repairs, replacement of destroyed tires (as long as they are within the 50k-80k mile warranty), etc. Also, the service guarantee is good for any Les-Schwab location nationwide, so with how numerous and widespread their locations are, you're never too far from a service center. I have been to three different locations for service in the Portland area, and would rate them all highly. The ONE downside: none of their locations are open on Sundays. Still not worth a star off, though. read more

I have gone back and forth about whether to leave this review but my last experience has made me feel I should. I worked for this Les Schwab for about 4 months during my senior year of high school, I left the job with no hard feelings to play my last season of Track and prepare for college, 1 week ago I came in for an alignment check on my Ford Ranger, before I brought my truck in it always drove a straight line and never had any bad shaking in the front end. I scheduled my visit for 4pm but my vehicle was not taken in until 5:30 (30 minutes before closing). When my vehicle came back out at 6:15 the first thing the technician said to me was "I had been working on it for an hour and a half and I could not get it to budge at all" he then told me that my upper A-arms were bad. Which I totally agree with him that they need replacing but he told me that he put my truck back to the way it was when I came in. On my drive home my truck pulled horribly left and right and when I got to my house I looked to see that my passenger side tire was left with a bad camber and my driver side was tilted in. Below I will attach the photo. I drove back to the store immediately where I was then treated like I did not know anything about my truck and told that they did not do any work on it. They then quoted me $867 to fix my truck and undo their mistake. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with what this place has become. I came in at 2:45 for a tire rotation and was told it was at least an hour wait. I decided Toruń a couple errands and returned in an hour. I was then told by another associate that there were 4 people ahead of me. I stated I was told to return to get service in an hour. She went back and asked and said they would get to me. Around 5:00 I required about my car and was told I was next. At 5:15 they pulled my car into a spot. 45 minutes later still not completed, asked again and was told it was almost done. I went outside and was watching them putting on a tire. was asked if I needed help. I told him I was waiting for my car. He claimed my one tire had a flat which it did not when I brought it in. I let them know from the start that my tire light was on, on the dash. Another technician came over to me and apologized since he dropped the ball and actually went home without finishing my car. He said he came back to finish it. It was done at 6:00 and I was pissed and all I got was a sorry. 3 hours to rotate tires. Never again will I use sandy or Gresham location les schwab for tires or service. I've had so many upsets with them in the last year that it's not worth the hassle. My latest experience was the icing on the cake. Went in about 3 weeks ago for a tire rotation because my car was pulling to one side. Being a girl I think my best bet is to go to les schwab, tell them that my cars pulling to one side and suggest getting a tire rotation. They rotated my tires, I got my car back and it was worse! As soon as I got onto the highway my entire stirring wheel starts vibrating and you can feel the whole car wobbling. I didn't have time to go back and wait again to get it looked at so I left it until I could put my studs on. I had my husband do the studded tires, again I don't have 2-3 hrs to have them do it. As soon as he got the normal tires off he showed me exactly what was wrong. I had TWO tires with broken belts, and almost zero tread! No way should they have rotated these tires without telling me that there was something very wrong with them. These people are letting people leave their shop with unsafe vehicles. I really like Les Schwab for its great customer service and tire-related products and services that I've used for years, but unfortunately I do not recommend Les Schwab's vehicle batteries. The first one I recently purchased badly corroded and leaked in less than two years, and, under warranty, its new replacement also seriously corroded and leaked in less than 6 months -- both times leaving me stranded with a dead vehicle. Car sat there for 45 minutes and no one touched it. Ask attendant if someone was working on my car and he said he would check. Came back and told me no one was working on it but would get right on it. Ask on review for someone to call. No one did. On previous reviews ask for no call and got one anyway. I have to start off by saying Thank you Jason! If anyone is in Sandy Oregon and ever needs car work Jason is your man! Story: I am from Seattle and I was driving to Bend Oregon to climb down there with an old friend of mine and my car caught fire in the town of Sandy Or. at the stop light, not only had I never heard of Sandy but I knew no one that could help me for 50 miles. I put the fire out and I was stranded.. but I saw a les schwab across the street and ran over there, Jason one of the workers there took care of me he drove me back to my car, assisted me getting my car to the Les Schwab, lifted the car and diagnosed the problem. Allowed me to keep it in the parking lot while I continued my trip to Bend and I had a local parts shop tow it from the parking lot. I am in great gratitude to Jason and to Les Schwab, my trip that day could have turned out as a disaster but the week was great and it's in large part and thanks to these guys. Drove up from Bend on our way to pick up our 12 yr old and got a nail in our tire. We came into this Les Schwab as it's what we use in Bend and asked if there was any way to get it patched quickly so we could get to the airport on time. Guy at the counter said it wasn't his problem and there was a two hour wait. We asked if there wasn't any way we could get it fixed quickly and maybe pay more because of the time constraint and he again said nothing I can do for you. I have lived in Sandy for 17+ years and have always had top notch service from all Les Schwabs to include our local one. For the negative reviews that mention hours of operation (really?) as a negative point and the one about the nail....(how come you didn't point it out)....and to the one who said the rotation of tires made her car drive worse because of no tread....Wow people, take responsibility for your own actions. These guys work very hard to get everyone accommodated in a timely fashion but they have to give the same service to everyone as they come in. Had a problem with a tire that I purchased just days before. They suggested that the tire be replaced but did not have one in stock. They picked one up from a neighboring store and had everything taken care of later that day. This all the while all the last minute people were there because snow and ice were predicted later that evening. Well, aside from the humor, that's what happened to me last time I went here. They tried to sell me something that was close to $300 & fit the aforementioned criteria of "a Johnson rod", or....to put it simply....it was BS. The amount of over-the-top selling that goes on here sickens me. I gave them 2 stars because the gentleman who greeted me was exceptionally nice & they were relatively prompt. I bought new higher end tires for my new car. My car has white interior And they know that it's white and they know that they are really dirty. But he still gets in my car and pulled it into a bay after he was done he got back in it and pulled car out of the bay and parked it. I open the door and there was black hand print on the door and steering wheel and some on the side of the seat. They should put seat protectors and wash there hands. I know they don't want customers waiting so they rush them in and out. But when your rushing things like this happens. Before I took off I talked to the manager and he just said sorry. They did get a wet rag and wipe some it off. It happened at this store and it also happened at the Gresham branch with the same car. I had to go get it detailed. I called for an quote on my 1987 Toyota pickup. For brakes front and rear. And also wheel bearings. They told me that they would look it up and get back to me in 10 mins. 3 days later I received a call from them with. Quote they had the wrong vehicle info. So I come. Get it all taken care of and they take my truck to start working on it. They guy working on it comes in talking disrespectful tone asking why am I even doing my brakes. I firmly told them they need to be replaced so they doubled check all the brakes this time and found out why they need to be replaced. So I contacted the store manager bill of the sandy Oregon location. He took care of what happen by offering me a credit for a free Alignment. Well 2 months later I call about getting my new tires mounted that weren't bought thew them . They told me a crazy price and they guy on the phone got every short with me and gave me a quote. And pretty much hung up on me. So i called bill the manager we talk for a little about what happen I was a little up set due to the lack of respect. So I was Cussing as I was speaking but not Towards the manager (freedom of speech) well he told me to not talk like that to him. And before I could respond to him he tell me he wants help me and when I ask for his bosses phone number. He said that's not your Business and hung up on me. So I hope in my truck and drive up to the shop to find out why a store manager hangs up on me. I went to have my calipers and brakes changes. They told me it cam with a brake flush as well. I got home and drove the jeep once since it is my second car. I helped a buddy bleeding his brake system on his wrangle and noticed how nice and clear it looked. I went to look at mine and noticed it still looked like coffee color. I called them and they said since it had been a week that was probably why it was so discolored all ready, bulll shiiiit. Brake fluid doesnt get brown if you do a complete flush from one drive and sitting for a week. read more
