I always take my car here when it's having difficulties and the owner is SO nice he always recognizes my mom and I whenever we go by to get our stuff figured out with our cars. And fast!! Wonderful service!! And always a great job on the service requested! When it comes to a simple oil change to fixing a belt they are so nice!! It's very nice being a girl and not knowing the first thing about cars but no one here makes me feel like a ditzy blonde and explains things thoroughly which is extremely appreciated!! So I bought my tires here about 2 years ago. 50, 000 mile rated tires. 25,000 miles later, they were wore out. I took them back. Manager says " yea, we dont carry those anymore". hum? He tells me he'll replace them with some other brand , again, 50,000 mile tires. Fast forward a year, last week. Took it in for my free rotation because they already look worn. (less than 15,000 miles later). They tell me my control arms are worn out, $745-845 to replace. They tell me my brakes are worn out as well. $1,345 to repair. I took it to my mechanic. Nothing was worn out. 60% brake pads remain and control arms are fine. BEWARE! read more

I would not recommend this Les Schwab. Firstly, I have always had a good experience in my dealings with Les Schwab tire centers, including this location. My most recent visit has made me decide to take my vehicles to a different shop. It all started when I had my wife's vehicle towed in because of a front end issue. The truck was towed in and I waited until 5:30 for the tech to come and tell me what was wrong. The diagnosis was the upper control arm ball joints were shot, I needed a new cv axle and the jamb nuts on the trailing arms were stripped. I asked to see what he was talking about, he took me out and showed me the nuts spinning freely. These particular trailing arms are adjustable and the nuts have spun freely since they were installed 7 years ago. So I told the tech to leave the trailing arms alone, to replace the ball joints on the upper control arms, replace the cv axle rotate tires and align it. I waited a week for the truck to be ready. I got the vehicle back, the alignment was off, the tires were not rotated like I paid for them to be, and the castle nut cotter pins were missing on the upper control arms. The jamb nuts were completely tightened out of adjustment after being told by the tech that the nuts were stripped. I attempted to drive the truck home and the truck veered all over the road even though their computer print out said everything was within spec. The truck also was making a very loud clunk in the rear when braking and reversing.I brought the vehicle back and let them know the alignment was off, the cotter pins were missing and the tires had not been rotated. I also told tech to put the jam nuts back in their prior locations. I informed of the loud clunking as well. I pick up the truck, they hand me a printout from the trailing arm manufacturer that had jam nut torque specs for a completely different set of trailing arms, they said the clunk was still there, they realigned the truck and rotated the tires. They said they drove it and it was good to go. I jumped in the truck and got on the highway only to find out the (second) alignment was 10 times worse than when they did it the day before. It was so scary, it prompted me to stop at another tire shop to see if they could correct the issues, they referred me to a shop that specializes in alignments. After this experience with Les Schwab, I will never spend another dime in one of their stores. From not having the tires rotated to the missing cotter pins in the upper control arms, to the tech bringing me specs to trailing arms for parts that are not on my truck, to the highly precarious alignment job, it has been an experience I wont soon forget. If you only need tires, you might be ok dealing with Les Schwab, but anything beyond that, I would definitely go somewhere else. Poor communication, less than qualified techs and poor quality at a premium price. Sorry but they lost my business forever. read more

Went in with a nail in my tire. They said it was complimentary. Left my car there as was told it would take 3 hours. Called me 4 hours later said it could not be repaired and gave me a quote for 4 new tires. Close to $2000. I have a all wheel drive and the tread needs to be the same on all 4 tires. Decided to get another opinion. Went to Doherty tires in Sonora the next day. They fixed the tire. $20!! read more

I can't say enough about my experience at the Sonora Les Schwab Tire Center on Mono Way! I needed tires for my Tesla and had first of all made an appointment for tomorrow (5/7), but I decided to give a same day visit a try. I showed up and was immediately greeted with a smile and an honest "how can I help you"! I mentioned that I'd made an appt, but wondering if they could get me in today (5/6), and she mentioned that they could. I was in and out in about an hour and was able to watch them perform my tire exchange...with my biggest concern being lifting of my Tesla with the use of "pucks". For those not aware, if pucks aren't used...battery damage can occur. They lifted and serviced my car with care and prior to my departing Les Schwab, the staff went over the warranty, tire rotations and made sure to answer all my questions. Before next day long road trip to Disneyland, brought in our Lexus GX Saturday morning for tire check and ongoing shudder when braking. Sure enough Dave (very professional) guessed it was probably warped front rotors. A little while later he confirmed nail in one tire & rotors should be replaced. Being a Saturday it was too late to bring the special order rotors in. Fixing the one tire along with tire rotation no charge. Knowing we have the next day long drive and that i was willing to replace the rotors he said he would see if possible to get rotors in and installed today. February 27 2021 Thursday morning I brought my Jeep to Les Schwab my right front tire was bouncing when I would apply the brakes at times it felt like the tire was loose. I had bought the front tires from here and someone said it may be a defected tire. The man who inspected my Jeep told me I needed new roters and said I need 2 back tires. $606.00 I went to transfer fund I came back inside he said I needed new back brakes too. As he is calculating he is adding calipers to the work order. $1100 was the grand total. I replaced the front rotors 6 months ago, I went home took the back tires off my pads were fine. Yesterday took the front tires off my rotors are fine and the calipers too. The steering damper was bent I paid $67.00 for the part my boyfriend replaced it. I will need 2 rear tires soon Les Schwab will not be getting my business. read more

I went in today to get a nail removed from my tire. They made me wait 3 hours. Seven different people came in after me and left before me. I talked to two of the people and asked if they had appointments (I was a walk-in) and both said NO. So because it was a free service I got they can put me at the end of the queue and make me wait that long?? I was never even given a heads up about wait time (but I guess that makes sense if they already knew they were going to prioritize everyone else.) Because of this I had to miss a dentist appointment because I literally had NO CAR to get there (now I have to wait another month to get in.) Driving down the 108 really messed up my Prius so we made our way to Les Schwab. They quickly diagnosed the car free of charge and then recommended that we go to a mechanic with a stronger hybrid knowledge to fix it. Not only do I appreciate them being upfront but I felt like they were really accommodating by letting us hang out inside with our two dogs (vs being outside in the 100F weather) basically up until the last worker closed up. I stopped in 2 years ago for an Alignment and they started the work, but could not complete the job as their machinery was not working right , fast forward June 2021 , stopped in for an alignment , first it's a nice clean shop ++++ but it 's nothing like their commercials where happy employees come running out to help you , reality - wait in line out the front door to be told NO we have no time for you today , how about tomorrow ? Brought in a tire to be patched where a small piece of metal had punctured through. We were surprised that there would be no charge for the patch. After the employee inspected the tire we were informed that the tire was ruined. The employee explained that the widest portion of the metal had punctured leaving the narrow section visible to the exterior. No effort was made to allow us to inspect the damage to verify that his claim was correct. They were willing to sell a comparable replacement tire for what we perceived to be an exorbitant price. Now it was obvious why there was no charge for the tire to be patched. We took our insult and our tire to another shop. The screw was removed and the tire was patched. No problem. The hole was only the diameter of the screw with no "wide end". If I can't be told the truth about a tire patch, I cannot trust this shop with more extensive and complex work. It would have been better to charge us an exorbitant price to patch the tire and send us on our way. *Edit response to rebuke Customer S.* Kylee, I do not appreciate corporate rhetoric. To be clear: a tire patch is no big deal but honesty is. Particularly in situations concerning "safety" and "industry standards". The employee lied about the nature of the damage. No mention of "industry standards" or "safety" had ever been discussed. I would have accepted that explanation. I suspect that the tire had never been removed from the rim. The triangular piece of metal; that was actually a cylindrical screw, certainly was not removed or shown to us. I am impressed if there truly is no charge to patch a puncture, but it seems that the store has adapted to combat that policy. I assume the employee(s) is paid an hourly rate regardless of Les Schwab's charge to patch a tire. If I can't be told the truth about a tire patch, I cannot trust this shop with more extensive and complex work and I am warning potential customers. I had a slow leak in my right rear tire and as soon as I drove up a Sunday where all the other tire and wheels shops were closed, I pulled into the parking area to be greeted by the counter person named Brad. He opened my car door for me and asked how he could be be of service. I WAS SHOCKED! My experience at Big O tire in town left me gun shy of cornerstone owned stores due to poor service. This place pulled the nail out of my tire, repaired it for free! I highly recommend this place. Their detail to customer service is impeccable! This is a new and wonderful full store. I didn't buy my tires there but asked if they would rotate them. I was having a steering issue. They gladly had it done in 20 minutes. When they ran my invoice the balance said "0". I offered a tip, they replayed, we just want you happy. Several days pass my steering issue continues. I went back this morning to have the front end aligned. They said will check if free. 20 minutes later the service tech said your alignment is perfect but we did find your wheel speed sensor adjustment out of adjustment. Said he corrected it. There are few business that one can say are good, perhaps exceptional. Les Schwab in my opinion is one. Granted they may not be the least inexpensive. But the consistency of service has always been at the top in the decades we have been customers has more than exceeded this. The Sonora outlet is no exception. Won't bore with the details of a minor flat repair but the staff was more than accommodating, professional and prompt (most importantly in this COVID era safe and proper). To be quite honest we had the issue Sunday (LS IS NOT OPEN) I removed the tire and took to another local shop. But after seeing the "equipment" there we chose not to risk damage during repair. The tire and rim were 20's $$$ from high end car and it just didn't seem prudent. Monday morning LS opened my wife drove down in out truck with the tire and LS did not disappoint. My day started off with a flat tire in the middle of an unpaved forest road, I brought in a wheel from an old truck i had and Riley measured the center bore and lug pattern to make sure they were correct, unfortunately we didnt account for the backspacing and it wouldnt clear my caliper, i drove back and explained my situation to mike and he immediately took over and was ready to fix this situation that was ultimately my fault but the blame wasnt what this gentleman was concerned with, he wanted to make sure i got taken care of and i would say i got taken care of and then some. 1 Star because there is no option for zero! Horrible service with long wait times and so called mechanics. Watching them work on my vehicle through the large waiting room window was frustrating and aggravating, they really have no experience or knowledge of what they are doing. I came in for a rotate that usually takes 30 min and 3 different mechanics worked on my car for almost 2 hours. When they were finally done I was told multiple parts were needed to repair my car. I questioned the work they said my car needed and the mechanic couldn't tell me what the parts were or why I needed them. Another mechanic came over and became very defensive and just said that's what it needs with no other explanation. Makes me think they offer free services to get you in the shop and sell things you don't need. read more

Never again will I go to this shop! They tried to charge me for bad lower ball joints and when I asked them to show me the movement in the joints, I couldn't see anything! I just changed lower ball joints in another one of our SUV's and I know what bad joints look like, but these guys are trying to make up for not have anyone in their shop by adding extra charges and work on the few guests that do stop by! Well I promise you this, I'll never be by again! On a side note: The guys in the shop may be following the "Corporate" standards and to be honest, that's what's wrong with our country now! To many "Corporate" standards that only care about making the share holders money, not taking care of their workers or the people that keep them in business, like me! read more

RIP OFF, DO NOT GO HERE. We went for a front end alignment, and at the last minute decided to get 2 tires while we were in there. The woman we first encountered was friendly, and everything seemed fine, other than they never took our license plate or phone numbers, which seemed a bit odd. We went off to lunch, came back, and discovered that not only had they not done the alignment, they DID do the tires, which immediately voided the warranty on them, having been placed on a misaligned front end. They didn't consult us about any of this, and instead presented us with an estimate over $1100 to repair a laundry list of things before they would even touch the alignment. When I said no way, this is wrong, the guy behind the counter went quiet, handed me the envelope with the tire receipt in it, and that was that, no sign of this wonderful customer service I'm seeing in other reviews. On top of that, they left our car unlocked in the parking lot, unattended. The next day we went to our regular mechanic (who doesn't do alignments, which is why we went to Les Schwab), and had them check everything out. Surprise surprise, it actually only needed a ball joint and two bushings. Apparently Les Schwab is known for doing this -- the mechanic's daughter had the same thing happen, and then they didn't even do the alignment correctly! What seems to be the story is that Les Schwab wants every single part to be in completely pristine condition so that they can place a warranty on the alignment. No thanks, I think I'll pay 1/3 the price and actually be able to afford fixing my car, warranty or not. I also don't appreciate the huge NRA sign behind the counter -- I'm there to buy tires, not for their political viewpoints about guns. Ugh. Stay away! read more
