I have gone to this Les Schwab for years. Good work usually. They sell cheap tires for big prices but their devices always outweighed that for me. Went in for a 60k brake pad change on my Nissan and they told me without looking at the car their standard is pads, rotors, and calipers....calipers! That's probably 700+ to do those at their prices but I didn't stay long enough to find out. Thanked them and left. "A standard brake job " was the phrase used and when I asked.....replacing all those. Anyone who knows anything about cars knows pads fer replaced and the rotor is checked for discard thickness and smoothness. Replace it or turn it if needed. Calipers you inspect the boots for leaks or troubles. Been this way for decades. Everyone is worried about global warming, trash dumps, the environment and these guys are throwing away good parts or claiming they replaced them when they don't or not neede. Talk abiut waste! Let alone the cost of it to customers. read more

I got a settlement and decided to make sure I spent my limited funds on making sure my car was safe for winter driving. There were several options but I decided to go with 4 new winter tires from les schwab. I let the sales person know that I was getting these with my settlement in the summer when I had Money and arranged to pick them up in November or December when they would be needed . He told me they would be switched back to my normal tires in May. I was clear with the salesman that I am disabled and on a limited income which is why I was buying the tires early when I had the money. We discussed that I would switch the tires out when spring came. At no time was I informed that there would be a fee of $86 every time I switched the tires. That is $172/yr every year. If I had been given this information I could have made an informed decision about getting different tires , getting wheels for the winter tires or simply getting chains. Not giving me this Information while he told me how often I would be changing out my tires is withholding important information and is dishonest. I am angry . I have other things that needed that money and now have a useless set of brand new tires. I went to Les Schwab instead of shopping around for cheaper tires because I felt I could trust them. I knew they would be honest and they could always be trusted. Maybe it was only the man that sold me the tires that was willing to withhold important information regarding the services for the item I was buying ,but no one , stepped up when I said I had not been told this when I bought the tires. I am left with the impression that the shop at 118th off of Mill plain is comfortable with dishonest business practices. I will not give anymore money to Les Schwab and will do whatever I can to spread the word that they are ok with taking care of Disabled women on limited incomes. Yesterday received the worst customer service I've ever experienced at the Les Schwab in 30 years I believe the sales person was Dave not sure if he's the manager or not Had my vehicle towed there because I had a blowout I was expecting a tire just to be replaced got a very upset when he told me it was going to cost me $187 to have a New tire put on And he seemed to smirk and smile as he could see I was getting upset We could've avoided all of this if he would've just explained the replacement tire policy due to the use and the tread left on the tire I've never had any problems at Les Schwab always been treated very fairly and I've even been to this location a dozen times with no problems but this one time and the one individual who I dealt with was very unprofessional and lack of any sort of people skills so I will not be using this Les Schwab anymore and I highly recommend go to a different Les Schwab read more

Customer service was mediocre at best. I went to get brakes checked and new tires. They sold the new tires, but failed to reset the display and I had to drive back to store. They were supposed to call me with a quote for the brakes, but never heard from them. Took my car to Hillsboro location on Imbrie and they are a world apart from one in Vancouver. Shop in Vancouver was old and dirty. Hillsboro - bright and clean. read more

When I was up there visiting my dad's car had a slow leak in one of his tires so I went with him to this facility to get it hopefully fixed. I can't remember what they said but they quoted either $20 or $12 to fix the tire if they could. They did the work and came back and said there was no charge...my father was very appreciative and said he will certainly be going back to them for all of his tire needs in the future because of this experience. read more

Got here to buy and install 2 rear tires. They obviously knew I also got 2 new tires on the front couple months ago at other location. Asked me if I want the same thing, and I agreed. Got a quote of $197 which $50 more than the last time. I of course questioned them about this and was told that they could match the price with the last time. Whenever I have problems with my tires, this is the place I go! The guys here are awesome and without a doubt the most helpful. They're super friendly and willing to go above and beyond what is asked or needed. After a long day at work, I stopped in here to have a tire patched up and they definitely exceeded my expectations.. not only this time but EVERY TIME. Even though it wasn't a Les Schwab tire, they patched me up at no cost. They were very informative and gave me multiple quotes on future services needed from lowest to highest cost. Even though I am in dire need of these future services they weren't pushy about getting them and instead they were very understanding and professional about it. I dropped my car off on Friday & anticipated it to take over the weekend to repair (no sweat!), but not only did they call me back a few hours later stating the repairs had been completed, but at a cost lower than what I was quoted! Now my car drives so much quieter, smoother, & i've been relieved of the anxiety caused by the issues repaired. Went to get a nail pulled out of the center of my tread, and they refuse to stating that I ran the tire low and damaged it. I ordered a new tire and asked them to give me my old one back and leave my car where I could install my old tire myself that way while waiting for the new up come in since I have to get to work etc. They didn't want to be liable for installing the tire or wheeland were refusing to give me the tire I owned back.. After some back and fourth I told them to sit it on a brick in the lot and I'd be back with my wheel and tire mounted. Manager said ok and walked off. They ended up putting a different tire they had on the car that was smaller and didn't match the other. Still refusing to give me my personal tire.. On the drive home the difference in the size damaged my differential. Call Les Schwab to inform them of what happened and ask how we are going to take care of this manager states That he put it in there so it could be towed. They won't be responsible. Even though I did not authorize them to put that tire on my car. Never did he state that was why he put that tire on, even after watching me get in the car back up and I happened to stop and ruin back in to verify when the new tire world come in David didn't mention anything about that. Went to get a tire rotation at Costco and they couldn't do it because one of my tires had a bulge. I got a quote for 2 new tires from them, Tire Factory and Les Schwab. Price wise, Les Schwab was right in the middle. I usually go with the cheapest price, but I've been to this particular Les Schwab numerous times before to fix my flats or check my brakes for free - and my previous tires weren't even purchased from Les Schwab. Based on that, I decided I'd show them some loyalty and buy from them. Walked in, told them what I needed, and within 20 minutes I was good to go. Everyone I spoke to were professional. The staff didnt try to upsell tires or tell me something was wrong with my car and quote me $1700 to fix it. They also have a military discount, which is always a plus! read more

I had my brakes checked at another Les Schwab, they said brakes are fine but rotors needed turned, quoted $96. I didn't have time then so I wound up at this Les Schwab to do the turn. He comes back with a $900 quote saying my struts are leaking, my front brakes need, and recommends replacing the rear shocks. I said no, and took it to a third Les Schwab and had them check. They said I still had 5mm on the brake pads and struts are not leaking and I'm back to only needing to turn the rotors. I love Les Schwab but I will never be back to this particular location again. read more

Fixed it and told me it was on the house, despite the tires not being from Les Schwab as it was a new to me car. My review about this Les Schwab is mixed. I initially went in for a flat tire at 4pm, waited an hour and it was fixed. That's acceptable to me due to the time of day and people getting off work. Acceptable and it would have been 3 stars. So why 2 stars? Well I had to return again, another flat tire within a week (maybe I should pick better roads to drive on.) And I needed a new battery; the weather is getting cold and my 7 year old battery was showing signs of stress. I didn't want to be stranded. Instead of doing as I requested to replace the battery and fix the tire, they fixed the tire and "tested" my battery, which showed as being good. Well, murphys law kicked in and the next morning the battery had issues and failed to start my car. I ended up purchasing a new battery elsewhere and it's been good ever since. What would increase the rating? 1) Inform your customer before disregarding a request and ask if they would still like to have something done 2) Add shades to your west facing windows so the entire waiting area isn't baking in the sun. read more

A few short months ago, I bought 4 new tires at Les Schwaub in OR. This Tuesday after work I noticed the dashboard low tire pressure indicator came on. I drove it to the nearest Les Schwaub location (on 192nd). As I got out of my car, I noticed the front tire looked a bit low ~ which I told the tech. He replaced the tire and told me there was a defect in the sidewall. Today (Sat.) my tire light came on again. This time I was closest to the 118th St location. At this point it seems clear to me these tires are defective so I expected the same thing to happen. As I walked toward the store, one rear tire appeared a little low to me, which I told the person at the desk. I also informed her that I had just had the same problem earlier in the week and I suspect the tires were defective. Instead of replacing the defective tire they made up some BS story that my tire had been punctured, "by an ice pick, and vandalism isn't covered in the warranty." Convenient. When I disagreed they went into this whole story about they had just talked to the manager at the other location who had accused me of "shredding" the 1st tire. It was most certainly NOT shredded, it wasn't even flat! I wasn't 100% sure that tire was the problem! All of these accusations to avoid the truth, Les Schwaub sold me defective tires. read more

There is nothing more angst-inspiring than an unidentified noise coming from the vicinity of the front of your car. It began just like any other horror film. You're driving when you notice a new and unnerving sound coming from your car. The sound is loud enough that you decide to pull-over and take a peak. It's a pitch black, foggy morning and you stare at the car expecting something obvious because the noise is sooo freaking loud. Nothing. You see nothing. The noise persists all the way to work and you vow to return after daybreak for further investigation. You head out, safely after all of Stephen King's fog/mist monsters have taken off, and in the glare of the mid-morning sun you find a giant bolt and washer embedded in your tire. AHA! The handy guys at Les Schwab swoop in and are able to repair the hole with a plug and a patch. NO CHARGE. They work on a first-come first-served basis. There is free popcorn and seats to chill while you wait. They tend to be running at break-neck speed between cars and garage bays. They will quickly take down your info and take off. This may make it difficult to grab one and even more difficult to ascertain how long you may be hanging out. They will not offer you a wait time initially. You need to definitely ask if you have anywhere to be and make arrangements for an alternate ride if necessary. No pressure sales and a great selection of tires & wheel products. read more

I had a low tire, so dropped into this Les Schwab Tire Center. Gordon met me at the door, had me bring my car to free air center area. He not only filled the low tire, but checked all of my tires for correct pressure and tread life. He was very nice, we chatted about the car, his hunting and fishing, and my being new Y retired. What a nice, young man he was. I got my tires filled and was on my way in under 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this center to others. read more

Noah looked over my car as I was worried about a noise, found some fishing wire wrapped around the underneath( he got rid of it) checked everything else and I was good to go! No charge!
