Stopped into the Leslie's Pools location in Greenhaven recently and the first thing I noticed was how packed the store felt -- a lot of products squeezed into a smaller space, which made browsing a little overwhelming. Unfortunately the selection was also pretty limited compared to the Elk Grove location. Over the summer we stopped in looking for a new pool float, and the only one on the floor actually had a rip in it. Since it was the only option available, that was a bit disappointing. I've had much better luck at the Elk Grove store where the variety tends to be much larger and easier to browse. Helpful tip: if you're looking for floats or a bigger selection of pool accessories, you may want to check the Elk Grove location first. Final verdict: convenient for chemicals if you're nearby, but the Elk Grove store has a stronger selection of pool items. read more

Kudos to store manager Nicole and employee Ewana for their patience and efforts in finding a control panel for my sweeper. Nicole was very patient keeping my old unit in her store for a month to get things squared away. She found a unit and worked with me on pricing without any issues. Didn't buy any chemicals here's since I have my pool cleaned weekly, but this would be the place to buy equipment, toys, supplies and chemicals if need be. If you have any pool equipment that needs repairs, bring it here and they'll diagnose problem and get back to you in a couple of days. We have been customers since 2020 and have always had excellent service, but this visit was above and beyond. Iyana didn't just say, "We don't carry anything like that." She found a solution. My sister and I came here to find a large inner tube floater to help keep my dad safe in the pool while he does some physical therapy on his knees. He recently had a stroke, and now unfortunately, has to learn again on how to be comfortable being in the water. Back in the day, he was an avid scuba diver, so it makes me sad to see him in this weakened state. This specialty store has a nice variety of just about everything you would need to maintain and enjoy the pool life. My sister was a frequent shopper here years ago when they had a jacuzzi to care for. It was fun to see all the different pool toys available. But the main reason for this store is to stock all the important supplies needed for your pool and spa, which includes chemicals, parts and repairs. To our regret All Clear sold to Leslie's. 12 days ago they came for the second time to see what is wrong with our pool heater. They had just replaced a part the previous week so why are we getting the same issue code? The replacement part was defective! Now I have to wait 2 weeks for my heater to be repaired. My husband and I are old and use the pool daily for our exercise. The employees are rude, unhelpful and unwilling to make any accommodations to fix what should have been fixed weeks ago! I will never use this business again as they are rude and swindlers! I told the manager that I would be writing a negative review and he smugly replied, ok. Customer service was excellent! Nicole, the manager took the extra time to look at my sweeper to see if there was anything obvious wrong with it. I didn't bring the hose in, so they couldn't test it. She found some broken belts and had some extra time and fixed it for me, while I waited. I'm not sure why is Leslie location average rating is so bad. To be honest, I'm shocked. I brought in my Polaris yesterday as for the life of me, couldn't figure out how to remove the inner compartment to change out the broken base assembly. After two hours of failed attempt on Sunday, I decided to bring it to the shop and ask for help. Sean, the shop's tech, was amazing! He explained that I needed a new water management and jet retainer. That's why I couldn't remove the Polaris's cleaner body. While he assembled the parts together for me, he diagnosed the Polaris and gave me some recommendations. He wasn't pushy or trying to sell me anything extra. He was giving his advice as he can replace them for me while he has the Polaris open. On top of the original parts that I purchased, I ended up replacing the float head, belt, and minor parts. Overall, the total was under $200 and my Polaris is pretty much working line a new machine. I'm very satisfied with the level of customer service that Sean provided and his helpfulness. This is my go to location for all my pool needs. read more

COVID warning!!!!! Went in to get my pool vacuum worked on. Gentlemen in the back is not wearing a mask. Not only that but he is coughing. I ask for my vacuum back because I no longer have want it worked in there. I leave and call to speak to a manager. It turns out the person not wearing a mask coughing is the manager!?!?! read more

I walked into this store today and saw no one at the counter. I'm fact, I was surprised that no customers were even in the store. Anyway, I had to call out for someone to come up front. A young gentlemen came up and basically looked at me as if I was bothering him. I showed him a capacitor that I needed for my pool pump. Again, he looked at it as if he had never seen one before. He proceeds to go to the back counter and a couple minutes later he yells "HEY' can you bring that thing back here?" I head back with it in hand and he begins to try and read numbers off the old one to find a replacement. In the mean time, there is another gentlemen back there that is on his phone and trying to figure out what my guy is looking for. 10 minutes into the entire process, this guy is looking at stock on their back shelves and trying to match the size of the capacitor, rather than using the code numbers on it. I was beginning to think I was being "punked" because the look on this guys face was as if he was stoned and couldn't figure out what he was even looking for. The situation ended with him saying "if you come back tomorrow, the manager might be able to help you". I guess that means there was no "manager" in the store to begin with. Customer service, professionalism and basic common sense was totally lacking in this situation. Sorry this is so late as I have been on vacation. Any old how, I went to Leslie's Last month on Laguna and they tested my water. They guy said it was good. I said can you test again I was told it was bad at All Clear, and he said " we have heard that hundreds of times". He tested again and it passed. I wanted my supply of chlorine. Really pleasant people there , bought monthly chlorine ( normally I buy my supplies on the way home from work at Leslie's Greenhaven) Been stooping there for years. I now like the Leslie Pool on Laguna as well. read more

I actually bought some pH paper strips here. I was in a phase in my life about testing the pH in all my drinks and the water that runs through my house. I already have saliva/urine pH strips but these were not made to measure fluid like water. It's a very big place with lots of pool toys and pool supplies. When I went in, it was very quiet and oddly desserted without customers. I came to the conclusion that this is a rare product and not everybody would buy pool supplies like you would buy groceries. The woman helping me at the counter was extremely nice. Very cool store. read more

Sales associate Chance was very helpful. My husband and I recently purchased a home with a pool. We know nothing about pools. Chance helped us find the perfect crawler and explained it to us. He also told us to bring him a sample of our water and he will help us get it right. Store was clean and organized but im a big fan of Chance. Look for him if you need help. read more

I brought my pool water in last Saturday to compare to All Clear( they recently calibrated machine). Leslie's pool testing machine that they use wasn't calibrated correctly. When its calibrated, its pretty accurate. They ended up recommending over $100 of product. I compared it to the same machine that All Clear uses and also compared to Taylor reagents which are the most reliable testing out there. All clear was pretty accurate accept for the Calcium Hardness was 150 off (Leslie's also off by 150) from Taylor Reagents . Leslie's said my PH was high 7.9 (actually 7.6) and that i had Combined Chlorine around .8 which means you need to shock pool. Basically my Taylor reagent test said my pool was in balance and the water is crystal clear. If you all are willing to test at least every other day, keep your Free Chlorine/CYA and PH in check; you never have to buy shock, Phosphate remover or algaecides. The customer service there it's the worst customer service I have ever received in any store. My first time I walked in and i was given an ugly look kind a look like she was bothered that I was walking in to test my water then while I'm waiting two families walked in and as they were walking in the manager, the African-American lady was very rude talking loudly how they shouldn't be walking in 15 minutes before closing time. Second time i went in i was given the same nasty look and it was 1 hr before closing time. I will never go to this store again!! I needed a pool drain screw or a new drain cover. I showed the guy working there the screw and he was so not helpful! I said I don't mind buying a new cover that comes with screws and he wouldn't even look just said you need to look online! So I left and went to All Clear pool supplies. So helpful! Couldn't have been nicer and although he didn't have a screw he found a cover that will fit and he said was safer. I will never go to Leslie's again. read more

I was told that, although the part was In stock and I had already paid for it, the order had not hit their in-store system yet and that they could not give me the part. Worst customer service!!! I walked in and the two clerks are waiting on customers at the counter. One is explaining to a customer how to apply chemicals and the other is helping a couple with a repair order. Neither looked up to acknowledge me. I waited and waited and waited. Finally I walked around the store for scale removal products. I had some questions so I returned to the counter. Still there was no, "I'll be right with you!" Suddenly another woman walked in and was grabbing chemicals to purchase. Then one clerk was finally finished and instead of asking if he could help me he walks over to the other clerk and stares at what he is inputting. He then takes over and the other clerk finally ask what I needed. I asked about a good way to remove scales from calcium. He looks behind me and says , "I will ring her up first, those products are on the back wall!" I said, "I know but I was hoping I could have some advise." I then said,"So you are not going to help me?" He said, "After I ring her up!" I then told him I had been waiting in the store for help! I said never mind!!! I went to All Clear down the road where I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and a wonderful clerk took time to give me everything I needed!
