This is a good location! Leslie's is a good pool store that stocks most of the things you will need to take care of your pool. Their prices are higher than you'll find online, but that's common with brick and mortar stores. If you enjoy the experience of having a human being to help you, you will love Leslie's! The staff is very knowledgeable and quick to ask you if you need help. There are several locations in the valley, and I like this one. If you have a pool, spa, or enjoy spending time at the lake you will find plenty of things that you "need" here. It's usually best if I join my husband on his adventures to this store or he buys too many goodies for the pool. One half of the store is dedicated to all of the fun items you'd want for the pool or lake. They carry every type of float you can imagine from cute floats to floats with cup holders. There are also pool toys, fitness related items, and goggles. The other half of the store is dedicated to supplies, pool covers, parts, and chemicals. These are the items you would actually need for a pool or spa. We haven't had to use this service, but I've heard that they can test pool water to determine which chemicals would be required to correct water issues. Customer service is going to be highly dependent on the time of day since they sometimes are understaffed. One Saturday we were shopping for a pool cover and offered plenty of help with getting stock from the back and loading our car. Another time my husband tried to stop on the way home from work and they only had one employee working. Another customer was in the store having their water tested and the lone employee helped them for 45 minutes while the line to purchase items stacked up. I'm sure that many of the items here could be purchased online for less, but sometimes it's nice to shop in store and see items in person. read more

Bought a house with a pool in the neighborhood last year with zero knowledge of pool maintenance. While we hired a pool company to service weekly, things have come up. Initially, we bought supplies - such as a pool robot cleaner - from Amazon. Big mistake. Robot we bought was for a square pool and was damaging our round pool by bashing into it. I got into a situation where I needed to change my 2 pool lights and my spa light, so I went to Leslie's on Valle Verde. The store manager, Russell, gave me multiple options to get the task done. Very fortuitously, the items I selected, (new Colored LED Lights) fortuitously came with FREE INSTALLATION. Delivery was scheduled and Marcus from service showed up as planned and was very helpful and expeditious in getting the job done properly. Marcus made me aware that he was able to facilitate the job with a light that had a shorter cord (saved me $50+) that would suffice. Marcus even contacted the store to let them know I would be coming in for a refund on the excess paid. When I got to the store the next day, William and David were already prepared to take care of my situation and handle any fiurther requests I had. I was afraid I would end up needing an expensive pool guy but having them test my water and tell me how to treat it was simple. I went in last week just for some children's goggles real quick and was met with the best service by Jalen and William. I got 2 goggles w nose covers, and one athletic goggle but asked the guys when checking out about the return policy. One of my cousins has a physical condition that normal kid length straps typically dont fit, but the face mask does. I asked them if it didnt fit, what the return policy was. They were non-intrusive and quick to tell me not to worry. I could return no worries, whether today or at a later time. I came back 10 minutes later needing to purchase an adult strap for the kids mask and they made sure I was taken care of at an extremely reasonable rate. The guys even helped me switch out the straps so I wouldnt have to do it when I got back home. The store manager, Russell (name on their card) clearly trusted his employees because he didnt step in or question their decision and word when they were helping me. On top of making my purchase easy, the attitude in the store was positive and helpful, without trying to pressure me into additional toys/supplies. It's just a pool supply shop, but them making my first purchase there so seamless was important to me and I respect it highly. Will def come back. read more

I went to Leslies on Saturday 30 minutes before closing with my pool vac and David B took his time with it and was very cordial. I've visited other Leslie locations and have never had the type of service I received from David. As you know Leslie's is very proud of their products & it reflects in their high prices! They tried to sell me a pool fill valve for $30. I picked up the same make and model for $9. At Home Depot. Filters are way overpriced. This location has some cocky guy working, I can't stand him. He tries to blame any Pool issues you have on yourself. When you walk in the store they won't let you browse, everything is about getting in your face, selling you something and getting you out of the store. I buy everything on amazon now. read more

Russell B's Leslie's Pool Supply Store is absolutely the best ! He has been with this company for years and is an absolutely excellent manager and runs this store as if it were his own. His knowledge of pool equipment is priceless and extremely helpful. He has repaired our Dolphin Pool cleaner for us several times and knows exactly what the issue is regarding the cleaner and fixes it within minutes cleaning out the debris in the motor etc. His customer service and staff are excellent The District Manager was the first I had contacted regarding this issue a few years ago when Joe had left and we could not find a tech who could fix our Dolphin. Bought a Dolphin from this store for over $1,000. It quit working so I took it in for repair. They no longer sell this brand and claimed screws were stripped so they were not able to do anything. The salesman was no help when I asked what I could do for repair or could he recommend a repair service. He said to call the manufacturer. I reminded him i bought the Dolphin from that store. In fact I have purchased pool supplies there for well over 10 years. NOT anymore! I called the manufacturer who immediately emailed me a shipping authorization for repair I had it back in four days. I went there to get my Crawler fixed , the gentleman named Jerry said " Give me a couple minutes and I'll tell you what your looking at, " He took it apart in two minutes and cleaned it out, put back together, told me to pick the Twigs and debris up before using . I've been going to this Leslie's for a while. I needed o-rings for a Jandy valve. It looked like they had a kit on their website for $5. I went to the store and they told me they didn't carry that kit and that ordering it would take 3-5 weeks. (Really? I can order a fridge and get it shipped in one day but it takes you 3-5 weeks to get o-rings??). They offered another kit which was $12.99 for 3 O-rings! Literally the cost of these things is well under $1. The guy was even rude about it saying that's all they had (William I believe was his name). I needed to purchase it to get my pool going but let's just say that was my last cent spent at that store. Rude customer service and highway robbery prices. I looked online and could get the same set for under $4. I'll go in for the free water test but you've lost my business. Not another cent spent at that store and get rid of your bad customer service individuals! I always had a pleasant experience with the staff there so this is clearly a bad apple but you won't see me again. read more

Customer service could be greatly improved here. He sold me a basketball hoop and told me to save the receipt because many have had to be returned because they were broken. That's assuring. They will price match but not with amazon. Everything in this store can be bought for almost half the price on amazon but I always prefer to give my local stores the opportunity first. read more

Agree with the previous reviewer that they have no PR skills. I purchased paint (rubber-based Sr Pro 7) from their Henderson branch at Valle Verde location and followed all the instructions provided by the store manager. The paint started chipping and coming off, however, within a month! When I went back to report and provide feedback, they did not even listen to simply stating that "it was 100 percent user failure, not the paint." I wasn't, of course, expecting my money back, but it was so disappointing to see them not even engage with their customers. The worse is they removed my review from their website!!! They now show three reviewers who rated them five stars! What a bogus!!! I will spend my money elsewhere... read more

With only one person working in the store, it took me 37 minutes to have my water tested. When I inquired if he had help coming he said no, just him. After telling him it is not fair to him or the customers he acted as if I was the one with the problem. 5 people were in line behind me. The only reason that I gave them 2 stars is the convenience. i ordered a part from Leslies, they got the part in quickly but just didn't seem to have any customer service skills, same two guys on both times there and they both seemed to feel they were doing me a favor talking to them. As I suddenly find myself with my first pool and spa to take care of I visit these guys a lot for advise. To be honest, the service is either 1 or 5, there is nothing in between and it depends on who's working. I will however mention that the good outweighs the bad and most of the time they are extremely helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I keep going back to the store with my problems if I'm not happy with the outcome, it just takes longer to resolve or I simply go back on a different day and speak to someone else. I purchased a $400 vacuum from them and it didn't work correctly. I took it in six times. Six! It wasn't until the very young and nice gentleman who recognized me after two months of complaining and bringing the vacuum in gave me some advice about the suction on my pool equipment setting and other hints that it solved the problem. He also removed the rocks in it, but essentially his troubleshooting suggestions finally solved my $400 problem and now it works perfectly. read more

I bought a Pentair Easy Touch PSL4 system online and called this location to ask if they installed them. Someone first gave me a wrong number and then while he was on the phone with me one of his fellow workman was using the line he was speaking with me on started to fax something. He yelling "hey I'm on the line." Okay funny enough I guess. Then it gives me a service number to call. I call and and was put on hold for 15-20 minutes. When someone came on the line I said I was told you install Pentair Easy Touch PSL4 systems. She ssaid yes we do then asked did you buy it from us? I said no. She she said I'm sorry we can't install it then. I said don't you think someone should have asked that question before sending me to you. She laughed and said yeah I guess so. So I call back and relay the story to one of the salespeople at Leslies and he said "well that's a one in million chance of that happening you not buying here."I was dumbfounded. I said there at least a dozen places besides Leslies you can buy this unit from. Not planning on buying anything from this place run like a Chinese fire drill. read more

Comparing Leslie's prices to Amazon is not fair. The convenience and overhead of a store is worth some $. A real comparison would be between Leslie's and NPS. There specials are competitive and I will generally wait for what I need and go to the store with the best price. Relative, to comments about PR. I do agree that service can be a bit slow especially when there appears to have been, at several occasions, only one person handling the register. The store is well stocked, and from what I have witnessed, failed items and returns are replaced or refunded without ifs ands and buts. Service can also be slow when more than one customer brings in a water sample for analysis. The times I have been there, I have found the store associates knowledgeable and friendly. read more
