Its hard to walk into any retail store these days and find a sales person that really knows anything about their products. Ron the store manager is the best! Besides being a nice guy, he's very knowledgeable and is great at explaining things to his customers. I purchased a vacuum cleaner few years ago on promotion that they would give a $200 back, they did give me the card supposed with $200, but it could not be used. I had talked to them many many times , initially pretended they tried to help but they never did. After so many I showed up in their store, they asked me to call the Vacuum Cleaner Manufacture Company. When I called he Vacuum Cleaner Manufacture Company, they told me that they had paid the Leslie's Pool Supplies Store already. It was waited a lot of my time. I still did not get $200. When I saw the $200 card , I still do not feel good. Thus if I can give Zero star, I will do it without any problem. I do not recommend any one to this store again. read more

I purchased some pool supplies and an inflatable lounger here a few weeks ago. Everything was overpriced, but I recently moved here, and I enjoy supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, the pool lounger was defective, and I had to return it. The large woman behind the counter (manager?) said something to the effect of "we've never carried that item." First words out of her mouth before "hello" or anything else. Fortunately, the younger guy behind the counter recognized me and the item and said "I think that's the ___ lounger. We carry that." Still, the manager insisted that I was lying and refused to do anything about replacing the defective product. I'll never shop here again. read more

We just purchased a new home and inherited a pool headache. Intent to save money and mix chemicals myself, I waited too long and woke up to a green/black toxic sludge (yes, something from the black lagoon movie and admittedly it didn't happen overnight but I was in denial). Toddler in tow, I marched into the store and demanded the "quick fix"! The store manager (Ron) started to educate me on pool basics but it was beyond nap time and I said something like "it's nap time". He laughed and handed me three things that changed my pool from the black lagoon to something nice. I consistently called him because I had NO IDEA what I was doing and he helped me learn the basics over the phone. One thing I discovered was that I could save thousands by not going solar (to heat the pool I was told solar installations, amounting to $20k were the only way to go) and merely replace the 30-year old heat pump dinosaur with an energy efficient one. Thanks to Ron, no creatures will crawl from my pool and we will have a warm pool to swim in (saving thousands to boot)! Thanks for all your help! read more

No i'm not a recruit to write about the staff, rather just recommending a well stocked store, with good consistent knowledgeable people. They do get blitzed by customers on a hot Saturday and corporate should keep it staffed appropriately. yet whoever is working seems to do a great courteous job of juggling 3-4 customers so long as the customers have more than one ounce of patience. read more

great place to find missing pool pieces.

They advertise that repairs are free; you only pay for the parts. I took my Polaris pool sweep which I purchased there in because a rubber piece on the top broke off and the wheels were locked. I was greeted with we don't do repairs here, you will have to take it to our store in Danville if you want it fixed.The clerk could identify the broken piece--"What's that?" Another clerk came back and said he could do the repairs but it would take 5 to 7 days and he couldn't promise anything. I said that the place had really gone downhill since the former manager, Eric, left. Comments were, "They throw us in the store in the middle of pool season with no training." "They promised me the world and I haven't seen anything yet." The place is a disaster. Stay away read more

I have been coming to this store of Leslie Pool for many years and have always found the service friendly and efficient. The current manager, Ron, is easy to work with and solves my occasional pool problem. I also use their free water testing for my pool and hot tub and with their help both are very easy to maintain without having to use a pool service. read more

The manager Ron and associates at this store are so helpful. They're always patient and work with me to figure out pool issues that I have, including filter, pump, and products. I love the reports that tell me exactly what to put in the pool to clear up any problems and what I should put in weekly to keep the pool clear. The Pool Perfect Weekly product and chlorine work like a charm. They never try to oversell you (why not just go back to a pool service if you have to buy a bunch of unneeded products?!) but carefully ensure that you have what you need to keep it all going. They are very friendly and made the mysterious pool chemical process easy. read more
