Between a lack of AYCE options in the North Hills area and a couple pregnancies over the past several years, there have been few, if any opportunities for my wife and I to go out for sushi, let alone AYCE sushi. I was very happy to learn that Let's Sushi would be moving into the old Nakama location and that the timing would work out for me ti take my wife there shortly have she delivered our third son! I was on paternity leave and so getting a babysitter and sneaking away for a lunch was workable. When we went we were warmly welcomed and shown to our booth. The lunch rush wasn't terribly busy which made for a quiet and reflective time together. Our waitress was very friendly and as knowledgeable as could be expected considering she also was learning the menu etc... we tried to order everything in moderation as we didn't want to be sick, but we did manage to try a variety of appetizers (edamame, miso soup, takoyaki, yakitori skewers) and then a hand roll, a California roll, and a handful of the specialty rolls. Everything was very fresh and made-to-order. We were allotted two hours to order and eat all our food and warned that if food was wasted we would need to pay an extra fee. That wasn't a problem for us, and we didn't over order which was good. I will say that the time between placing orders and receiving food often was 25-30 minutes so keep than in mind when ordering if you're worried about running out of time or not ordering enough. I'm glad there's a new AYCE sushi place in the area! We visited for a late lunch today while were in the area. (FYI, Saturday and Sunday are considered "dinner" all day for pricing purposes). The space is beautiful and spacious. We were seated promptly, and had some time to look at the menu. Our server helpfully explained the process. We ordered about 5 special rolls between us. One roll arrived first, and then we waited...a good long while before we got any others. The sushi was delicious however! Our first experience at Lets sushi was a takeout. I wasn't too thrilled about their clear soup. It didn't taste like it usually does at sushi spots. I did appreciate the togo square box used. We thought we would dine in the second time, but to our surprise, it was an all-you-can-eat when we returned a few months later. We sat down and the waitress explained it was an all you can eat, but any leftovers would be charged, but she didn't say how much. We proceeded to only order what we thought we could eat, but we were left with about one sushi roll left. They charged us $2 per piece for the leftovers. I highly doubt we will return. read more

What a great place! It was our first time coming here with friends. It is all you can eat sushi and hibachi. Everything we tried, we enjoyed. We had some sashimi, specialty rolls, ragoons and tempura shrimp. We wanted to try some hibachi, but we were pretty full. The menu does say there will be an à la carte charge for excess food waste, so we didn't want to see if they hold you up to that if you order too much lol. Our server was excellent. He explained the terms to us and checked back regularly for us to order more items and see how things were going. It was crowded the whole time. At one point, they turned the music up a little and it was all high energy Friday night songs (it was the weekend). It seems like a very popular spot to go. The only annoying thing is you could only make a reservation of 6 or more online. We had 4 of us so we had to check in when we got there and it was a 40 minute wait. Service was phenomenal; I regret not getting names to post. From sushi, to sashimi, udon noodles, hibachi and even the appetizers all came out timely, delicious, hot, and truly a nice variety. Yes, the usual items you see most sushi spots but I thought they did a very good job with their flavors. I absolutely loved this elevated casual made-to-order, all you can eat, sushi restaurant in the North Hills/Wexford neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This is located in the plaza where Whole Foods is. You will be pleasantly surprised at how fabulous the food and service are in Let's Sushi! It's in the former location of Nakama but isn't affiliated with it in any way. It's completely remodeled and upgraded, very clean, has a stylish bar too. This isn't a buffet restaurant. Everything is fresh, high quality seafood, and made to order. You can watch the sushi experts making the creations that you order. I enjoyed that! They're very creative and detail oriented. I loved every thing I tried and my lychee martini and the fried Oreo dessert choice were phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant and the staff and owner couldn't be sweeter! Honestly we have been here a handful of times (embarassing! ). It's such an amazing place to come. I feel for the price and all you can eat, you cannot beat the value. We have eaten a lot of sushi and a lot of all you can eat (all over the country). This one ranks pretty high for both price and quality. This is what is definitely needed in Pittsburgh. The staff has always been kind to us (even tho we have been WAY too much). Plus it is also kid friendly which is nice for us to go somewhere with our toddler! Always very clean and really nice servers/hosts. There is so much to choose from, which is nice if you have a large group and maybe some people who don't like sushi. Got to try this place for the first time on Sunday afternoon and so glad we did! Very excited to have a new AYCE place especially so close to home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable and personal and the wait staff are attentive and helpful. Service was extremely fast despite it being reasonably full for a Sunday afternoon too. Personally loved the sashimi menu the most with the salmon and eel making my best bites of the night. Yakitori wasn't what I would normally expect, but still so good I ordered multiple. It was a busy night, and while we remained patient, the service did not meet the standard of any dining experience. Orders and drinks were delayed, overall attentiveness was low, and my son's hibachi took over an hour to arrive while the rest of our table had already finished eating. As a result of the delay, we ended up staying significantly longer than planned so he could receive and eat his meal. When we asked if it could be wrapped to-go due to the kitchen delay (which was not caused by us), we were told no due to policy. I understand the need for consistency, but when service breaks down, basic hospitality includes accountability and an effort to make it right. The food itself was fine once it arrived. They have a food waste policy that says "you may be charged for significant leftovers." Our party of five had no leftovers at all except for one person had three pieces left from their 10 piece roll. When we asked for our check, the waiter said he needed to charge us two dollars per piece that was left over. So, he was going to charge us an extra six dollars on top of the 35 we paid for all you can eat. We thought he was joking. But he was serious. The person in my party decided to finish the roll to save the six dollars. The waiter kept coming back to check to make sure it was gone before he would give us our check. Let's Sushi is a really great sushi buffet. What I like most is that all the sushi is made to order, so it's actually fresh instead of sitting out like most buffets. My wife and I have been looking for a default sushi place since moving back to Pgh a few months ago, and I think we just found it. The name is a little silly, but our meal at Let's Sushi was really good. The only negative I can offer, if it's really a negative, is that this is an all-you-can-eat place. It didn't seem to interfere with the quality, but it does encourage you to eat more than maybe you should. We did, but everything was yummy. Just know that if you are looking for a light meal, the economics might not make you happy. In any event, for $35 each we have several apps, shared four special rolls, and each had desert and tea. The gyoza was very good and very hot when it arrived. I also tried the calamari, and it was a little heavy on the batter but otherwise good. The rolls were fantastic. I won't list each one here, but each one was very fresh tasting and interesting. I can see taking a group of friends here for a long meal - they give you two hours for the $35. The place was clean, well appointed, and the staff was friendly. Service was a little slow, so I can only give four stars. We'll be back and I'll update if that is better next time. We weren't hungry enough for all you can eat, but they have an a la carte menu and the prices were quite reasonable. Service was fast and the staff was welcoming and pleasant (although we were there on a Monday and the restaurant was about half-full). The ambiance was nice with semi-private booths.
