This is one of my favorite spots to visit when I am wanting lots of sushi! I find myself coming here a few times a year, and enjoying it each time. Sushi Bomb is an all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi restaurant in Robinson Township, on the other side of the parking lot from Robinson Mall. They have different lunch and dinner menus, with the lunch just being a more condensed version of the dinner menu. In addition, they serve a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. It is in a small strip mall with several businesses, so the restaurant itself is not gigantic. There is signage identifying the business out front, and the strip has designated parking in the front and on the side. However, since it is across the larger parking lot from the mall, any overflow parking can park in the mall lot and take the short stroll over. This is going to happen during peak business hours, as the strip simply will not have enough parking. In regards to seating, there are tables of varying sizes, in addition to some booths along the perimeter. On this visit, my fiance and I ate in on a Friday night in August. It was packed when we arrived, which was around 7:30 PM. Usually on the weekend nights, it will be rather busy. I have eaten here for lunch and been seated immediately, but I have found that for weekend dinners there will usually be a little bit of a wait. We actually put our name in before we left the house, and there were only a few parties ahead of us by the time we arrived at the restaurant. We live about 25 minutes away, so I would say if you do this about 30 minutes before you want to dine in, it should work out that your wait is minimal for the weekend nights. We were seated at a table after a short wait upon arriving. It is all-you-can-eat, but you order off of the menu and rolls are brought out fresh to you. So, we looked over the menu and began ordering some of the rolls we wanted to try. There are a ton to choose from - with over 100 menu items on the dinner menu alone. While we waited for our orders to come out, we visited the Cold Bar, which is set up more like a traditional buffet. It is not very large, but usually has Lettuce for a salad, different Seafood Salads, Fruits, Desserts, and various Sauces. The desserts especially seem to rotate in and out, so these might vary each time you visit. For appetizer-type items, we ordered the Edamame (3), Miso Soup (1), Spring Rolls (4), Shrimp Tempura (8), Crab Rangoons (9), Fried Calamari (10), and Gyoza Dumplings (6). My personal favorite is always the Shrimp Tempura, as I love shrimp in any form. The Edamame is a generous portion, though if you did not think so you could always just order some more! These dishes are served in small enough quantities that you can simply just put in for more if you find one you particularly like. It also helps you to save room for more sushi! Our sushi rolls included the following: Salmon Skin Roll (91), Paradise Roll (74), Angel Roll (64), King Lobster Roll (69), and Mango Roll (76), along with a few single Sushi pieces. I typically gravitate toward rolls with cream cheese, so for that I really enjoy the Angel Roll. Going along with my shrimp comment from above, I liked the King Lobster Roll and the Angel Roll for that reason. The roll sizes here are a great size. If you are trying to sample as many as you can, I would recommend splitting rolls between those you are eating with. From the Kitchen Entrees, we tried the Teriyaki Steak Hibachi (33). The portion on this could have been an entire meal by itself! It came with a generous portion of fried rice, vegetables, and steak, all coated in teriyaki sauce. I know it is unlimited, but I was pleasantly surprised with the portion of this dish. It is never too long of a wait between ordering and when your items come out of the kitchen. I have never had slow or bad service here, as there always seem to be a lot of waiters/waitresses and runners. From start to finish, we were in the restaurant less than 90 minutes. Even on nights that are busy such as this one, it is never a bad wait for anything. After we ate until we literally could not eat anymore, I visited the ice cream freezer. They just have the classics of Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry in single-serve cups, but it is always a nice way to end the meal here. After so much meat and rice, it helps to reset the pallet and leave on a sweet note. The value of this place is truly incredible. The adult dinner price is $23.99, and I believe the lunch price is about $5 less than that. It is hard to get a quality meal anywhere sit-down at that price nowadays, much less unlimited made-to-order sushi! I will forever recommend this place simply on the value alone. Truthfully, I love Sushi Bomb. As someone who was quite a sushi novice on my first trip here, I have grown more cultured and knowledged by trying a lot of different rolls from here over the years. I would highly recommend anyone giving this spot a try! read more

Sushi Bomb is a wonderful spot for all you can eat sushi! There are many different rolls to choose from, as well as some appetizers and even hibachi items! Well let's start with positives. The decor is nice and the service is excellent. You order from an all you can eat menu for a very inexpensive price. I'm sure you can get à la carte also, but I chose AYCE. The sushi comes extremely fast-positive and negative! Now the negatives and why I will not go back. This is the first time in all my 31 years of eating raw sushi that I have had warm rice. This is why it coming so fast is positive and negative. They are serving so much that they are constantly cooking rice. I was excited about the bar where you can grab your salads, including seaweed and squid. Luckily I had my fill before what I thought was a kid dragging their oversized sweatshirt sleeve all over as she was helping herself. She turned around and it was a grown woman!! All I could think about was her grabbing it off the floor and rushing out of her house to go eat. Better yet, maybe she had sneezed or coughed in her car and used her sleeve to wipe her nose. Yes, my mind went there! Needless to say, I didn't return for more salad! This just reminded me why I do not frequent buffet style restaurants. We visited Sushi Bomb ( first time) with a party of six to celebrate a birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant is located in a shared parking lot, but finding a spot wasn't an issue. Inside, it's spacious and welcoming--plenty of room for larger groups. The experience is an all-you-can-eat option at just $25 per person, which is a great deal for the quality. The sushi rolls were fresh and made to order, and the hibachi dishes--though prepared in the back--still came out hot, flavorful, and delicious. Pro tip: you can customize your hibachi with no rice or all broccoli, which is a nice touch. Everyone in our group left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. Came here with a big party and had to wait about 2.5 hours? - understandable though considering our large party. Fortunately, you can join the waitlist and see where you are on the waitlist. Despite our long wait, the service remained amazing - they were super attentive and quick, and always made sure to check in on us. The food for an AYCE was decent, the variety of rolls they had were immense. The breadth of food is definitely a plus at this location and the quality was decent as well. The food came out really quick which was great. One note about the sushi, the rice tends to be overcooked / too soft for our liking but otherwise, the flavour and rice to veggie/meat ratio is satisfactory. The sushi is good, not the best I've had but definitely worth it the Saturday dinner buffet cost of $25ish with a variety of options of sushi, appetizers, and other. There is also a salad bar style of additional sides and ice cream that is self serve while all else is order as you eat. Definitely the place to be when on a crab Rangoon kick, ate a few plates. I was told by a friend that they will charge you for anything you order and don't eat so don't over order. The only thing that I disliked was the waitress wasn't very friendly and seemed to also rush us as once she brought the checks she held her hand out for our cards almost immediately rather than returning as is normal. Still my favorite sushi place in Pittsburgh. We came on a Monday night at 5 pm and received excellent service and had no wait. I noticed if you come any time after 6 pm on any day there will be a wait. I don't believe they take reservations. I noticed they raised the adult all you can eat price to $23.99 ($25 after tax). For a $24 dinner sushi buffet, i expect a lot more from Sushi Bomb. First, the waitress had troubles getting the correct orders for our table but considering we are a big group (8), i understand it could be difficult. We ordered many dishes from each category and we didn't like a lot of them. Crab rangoon was over fried, didn't have a lot of stuffing in it. Fried calamari was super chewy. The single sushi pieces were disappointing. The rice kept falling off and had no flavor. Yellowtail Jalapeno didn't taste fresh. This is by far the cheapest one, and I would go as far to say that the food is better than most of the other ones I've been too. There is a lot on the menu and the food comes out fast. I think this is very worth it the price, but if you want yummier sushi there are several places to get it. For example, Kujira in Shadyside ha yummier food, but the menu is much more limited and the ayce costs $10 more. The ambience is very casual. There are tvs to watch the game too. read more

Of all the places I visited for the first time this year, Sushi Bomb was probably my favorite. They had been on my "must dine here" list for a while, so finally I managed to stop in with an empty stomach. And coming here with an empty stomach was essential since I wanted to enjoy their all-you-can-eat sushi menu! The place was PACKED when I came here with friends, and something tells me that's the norm. Fortunately our party was seated relatively quickly, although larger groups weren't so lucky. The waiters were quick to stop by our table and despite the dinner rush, we were never left waiting long for our sushi. And it was so good! Everyone was able to order their favorite rolls as well as taste some new ones, and we had a great time gorging ourselves. Truly the only thing that could have made the meal better was the ability to immediately fall into a food coma nap afterwards. Maybe the tip here is to have a designated driver who won't be too sleepy to get your dinner party home? Jokes aside, sushi is my favorite food; so any time I find a good sushi place I'm a happy camper. My resolution for 2024 is definitely to visit Sushi Bomb again. I took two pieces out of the small roll before I took a picture. Then I went back and looked at the receipt. You will see that I spent nearly $40 for what is in this picture that's quite ridiculous and the smaller roll was 100 times better than the Big roll. That was nothing but rice really. Was going to give a 1 star review for stupid policy but decided not to. Just be aware if you don't like something, you will be charged extra for not eating it. I understand the extra charge for over ordering and not finishing. I still got more food, just didn't finish the one roll because it was gross. Other than that, it was a good experience. Restaurant is clean and nice. Food comes out pretty fast. Don't bother with the appetizers. They (I got calamari and crab rangoon) are average at best. Other than the mango roll, everything was pretty good. Definitely got my moneys worth! read more
