The first location was in Sandy, Utah. My group and I walked in and were literally the only customers in the store, yet not a single employee bothered to help us. The employees sat in the back on their phones and never once came out to assist. After waiting and looking around for a while, we finally just left. Thinking that maybe it was just a bad location, I went to the Murray location, which for years had provided great customer service. Unfortunately, it looks like things have changed. A woman initially pointed me in the right direction, but after that there was zero assistance. Instead of helping customers, she went to the front of the store and spent time joking around with the other employees. In the past, this location would actually help you fit the suit properly, suggest alterations, and make sure everything looked right. That's what I expected again, especially since I was planning on having alterations done. Instead, I got almost no help and ended up deciding I'll be taking my business somewhere else. Based on my experience and the recent reviews online, this seems to be the new standard of service at Men's Wearhouse--employees who don't care and management that doesn't respond. After this experience, I won't be going back. If this is the level of service they're comfortable providing now, I wouldn't be surprised if this company folds up like a lawn chair when it gets cold outside

He recognized that my wife was delighted by the shopping and that I was merely tolerating it! He adeptly managed both of us, leaving us with the sense that we were the most important people in the world! UWM Barber Shop located inside UWM Men's Clothing Store:…read more I visited UWM Barber Shop today for the first time since moving here to Salt Lake City, UT for a beard trim and line up. I was in the market for a barber who is a perfectionist, passionate, and performs like he/she is painting a masterpiece. I couldn't be any more picky on barbers as I am very cautious on who works on my beard. After an extensive search with multiple barbers and Barber shops; I came across UWM and saw Jordans picture and his profile. I also searched up his reviews and took notice that there were a lot of outstanding reviews from everyone who was happy with his charismatic personality, good nature, warm hearted, and highly valued detailed perfection in his craft. Jordan did a super amazing job on my beard. I highly recommend Jordan for anyone who wants the job done right and having an outstanding experience which is equally important to me as the trim. My husband wound up renting a wedgewood blue tux (it looked like a suit to me: no strip of satin down the pants legs, no satin lapels, no cummerbund) that he wore with a pale pink shirt and a navy tie. It looked amazing: fun for a Spring wedding. Chris took my husband's measurements at our first appointment, but when the tux arrived (2 weeks before the wedding), the arms were WAY too long. No problem! We just went back down to Nordstrom's, they altered, and Black Tux credited $15 towards the alteration cost. The arms were so off, I asked Nordstrom to write off the additional $15 since I am a very regular Nordstrom shopper, and they did. Love Nordstrom's! I would have preferred that the arms had been correct, since we'd measured before ordering, but Black Tux and Nordstrom's were great to work with on the alteration. Since my husband never needs a suit in his daily life, it was fun for him to rent a fun colored tux/suit. Return was so easy - back into the box it came in, pre-paid label already on it, under the original mailing label. Highly recommend if you want to try a fun tux or suit for an occasion. They also rent shoes, shirts, ties.

The level of service has dropped off considerably and customer service and business practices at this location are now shady at best. Manager engages in bait and switch practices and sales associates are either new, incompetent or shady as well. I went in last week to purchase a belt and specifically inquired about black Friday deals on custom suits. The sales rep told me they would be 30% off for black Friday and that sale would start on Wednesday the night before thanksgiving. I go into the store on black Friday. I confirmed with the sales associate that the suits were 30% off and proceeded to take measurements and get fitted for four suits. When I go to check out the discount is not present. Sales associate checked with manager and he said there was no sale on the custom suits. I told him I had specifically confirmed the sale on custom suits with two different sales associates on two separate days. Dude could care less and told me to go pound sand in his polite manager way. Steer clear of this location. There are plenty of other options around the valley or online with trained associates and managers who don't routinely engage with bait and switch practices.

Most of the time the line isn't bad, but on weekends it can get out of control. It depends on the day, sometimes it seems like there aren't enough employees. I have had some returns to actual customer service lately and it's been fine. I've also used the pick up since the last time I reviewed as well. The pick up option is very nice and when there is just one item you want/need, then you don't waste time or get tricked into looking/buying other things. The store itself can get expensive quite quickly, they often run deals and such that I receive in my email. I've found it's better if you go in looking for a specific item versus just wandering around. Plenty of parking options, there are two entrances.
