Came here for a late breakfast on a recommendation. The food was outstanding! Chips and salsa were above average. We both ordered al la carte eggs, potatoes and bacon. The plates came with hot tortillas and an enormous amount of beans. complaint: the person we paid either didn't know the prices or has poor math skills, as we were driving away we realized we were overcharged by $4.00, not a lot, but our bill should have been $12.00. I have been coming here since it was Beto's. The food always stays the same, the family runs it and have seen the kids grow up. They are always my families favorite place for Mexican. Service is horrible! They simply don't understand that people do not eat meat for health reasons. Or even religious reason, it's unacceptable how people allow to have workers that simply can not understand basic information! I ordered food for a friend and myself and i asked for all the vegetables and all the other condiments expect meat! I was clear and my friend received a all fries and cheese and sour cream burrito! This is a pretty dirty place - also very small. When we walked in, 3 booths had dirty uncleared dishes and no one to greet you. We Looked at the menu and walked out, reasoning that if the public area was so grungy and dirty the kitchen would be Much worse! read more

Landed from Dallas Texas & this was the first popular restaurant that came up. We decided to give it a try. When we pulled up we kind of had second thoughts but I said little family owned places like this are usually delicious!!! Ding Ding Ding I was right I had the Chile relleno plate and my better half had the 2 enchilada and a Chile relleno plate with beans and rice! There was only one waitress but she was able to keep everyone happy checking in every other pass by. The only complaint I have is that it was a little warm. Definitely will visit again! I gave it another try this time the service was better the food was not though. My friend got a taco that was super soggy and not appealing. I ordered a burrito asked for onions and bell peppers in it like a fajita style. I received fresh chunks of onion and bell pepper not grilled at all. My coworker and I like to come here about once a week. I don't usually deviate from the two shrimp tacos + all beans order. There's only one server in there most the time, and she's usually very hurried and rushed (we try to go there an hour before the traditional lunch rush, and the wait staff is usually better then). I have never been disatisfied with my tacos, ever and it's a great place to get a Mexican food fix. read more

My family and I stopped by for lunch after hearing positive feedback from friends. The waiter was very good and took our order promptly. The food itself was okay, not great but not anything to marvel about. Midway through our meal, we noticed a cockroach creeping on the wall right next to our booth/table. I couldn't believe it, and as I pointed out the nasty bug my son caught it in a napkin. We are not snobby folks by any means, but this was totally gross and ruined the rest of our lunch. Not wanting to raise havoc during the busy weekend lunch rush, we discreetly informed the waiter. The waiter himself saw the cockroach and threw the napkin away and stated he would inform the manager, who would personally apologize. We waited for quite some time, and the waiter never returned. I am not sure if he was embarrassed or avoiding us, but a different waiter stopped by with our tab. The tab was discounted by a few dollars, I am assuming due to this incident but it is very disappointing that the manager did not care enough to follow through on speaking with us about it. We will not be stopping by Lety's again in the future, and I highly encourage choosing another restaurant due to the lack of sanitation or care by management. read more

A friend and I walk in around 530PM expecting a nice mexican dinner. There was a group of 4 eating and we sat ourselves, as there was no server to be found. After waiting for about 20 minutes_ My friend walk towards the kitchen and asked if there was a server working. The cook went and looked for the server and she was either in the restroom or hiding in back of the house. We order two meals and was served what appeared to be leftovers, as the taco shell was old and reheated and the enchilada sauce taste like %4#5! It appears the previous reviewers were either relatives of this place or friends. Trust me being in the marine corps I could eat anything, but as for the service( looking for a server, after waiting for 20 minutes) is unacceptable. Sad to say when this place was Beto's it was really GOOD. The new owners either need to retrain their staff or learn how to cook mexican food. re-heating old food to serve to their paying customers is POOR SERVICE. read more

I've been to top rated Yelp Mexican "authentic" restaurants; including the white washed "Sals" in North Fresno, which was horribly ridden with lard, and terrible service, as if they discriminate. Letys feels like home, and the food is always so fresh, like fresh out the oven melts in your mouth fresh and authentic flavor. I rate this the best in Fresno by far- Plus the family runs a good customer service etiquette, very personal and interactive. Sals was the exact opposite; almost felt like a chain restaurant... I give Letys a 5 star quality rating as a Mexican! :)) read more

The food is good. First and foremost. I usually get tacos and the meat is well-seasoned and ample. Whether it was beef, chicken, carne asada or chile verde they usually give you a good portion of meat, which is important to me. I also tried the menudo and it was pretty good as well. Lots of stripe. Now the service? The young lady working there wasn't overly friendly but she wasn't rude either. She was respectful and helpful. The order didn't take too long but then again I don't mind waiting if the food is good. Rather you take your time than try and rush you. The restaurant was generally clean. The serving area was clean, the tables were clean and wiped off. There wasn't any mess or the floor or anything like that. The bathroom was generally clean. I mean I wouldn't eat anything off the floor but I've seen much, much worse. Overall, I've always had a good experience at this place. And, let me repeat, the food is good. Its not a hole in wall. Its a place you could take a friend or stop on the way home from work and be perfectly happy. Its not a 5-star restaurant but it has 5-star food. And that's really what matters right? read more
