Juneteenth Holiday Celebration - 6/19/2026 As part of our family trip from San Francisco to San Jose for the Juneteenth holiday, we stopped by this restaurant for Hu Tieu, and it was a wonderful experience. The Hu Tieu looked exactly like the photos on the menu, which was impressive. Everything about the dish was excellent--from the presentation to the flavor. The noodles were fresh, the ingredients were plentiful, and the broth was flavorful and served piping hot, just the way I like it. We especially appreciated the complimentary fresh vegetables and condiments (see photos), which enhanced the taste of the noodles even more. Best of all, additional fresh vegetables were available at no extra charge. Service: Fast and efficient. Ordering and payment were quick and easy, and credit cards are accepted. Atmosphere: Relaxing and comfortable environment with Vietnamese music playing in the background. The indoor dining area was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Value: Very reasonable prices, especially for Hu Tieu lovers. The menu offers many noodle options, including both dry and soup styles. The dry noodles come with a separate bowl of hot, delicious broth on the side. Overall: We had a great dining experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Hu Tieu, generous portions, good value, and friendly service. Their Hu tieu Nam Vang is so good! I like how their noodles are covered in sauce already so you don't have to mix it up. They aren't skimpy on the meat and the portion size is decent. My go to appetizer is the fried ha cao (fried shrimp dumplings). I don't see this anywhere else so I usually order it every time I come to Leung Noodles. Ordered the dac biet special with yellow egg noodle and the portion size for the noodles was a decent amount and portion for one order! Also comes with a good amount of meat, quail eggs, organ meat, and Leung sauce. Also since I ordered the dry noodles came with a side of delicious broth. We visited on a Saturday with my family and tried a few dishes. We ordered the dry hủ tiếu with the broth on the side, and my boyfriend got the version with egg noodles and dry noodles on the side. Overall, we all agreed the food was good especially the noodles, which were flavorful, and the portions, which were generous. I also liked that they served pickled garlic on the side, which was a nice, tasty touch. That said, the meat and organ toppings were quite dry and ended up tasting rubbery, and the bone didn't have much meat on it either. Food is not the problem here, it's the service. The fact that you have options for noodles means you can order what ever you want to your liking. For them to come out and say you're suppose to eat it with this type of noodle after explaining that we do not want the thick ones as it is too much to eat already ruin the meal. Then proceed to bring out the wrong type of Sui Cao that suppose to have shrimp not pork and dare to tell me that I was wrong and that's how it suppose to be like that with the pork? Look back at all of your reviews, both good and bad and you'll see! They complained about the same thing, your service is horrid. Go to China Chen instead yall. This is a new location of the local favorite Leung Noodle over at the Little Saigon area in San Jose. They serve authentic hủ tiếu noodles in both dry and soup styles. The location of this restaurant is in a busy plaza with the tiniest parking lot. May need some patience to park. I went in on a Saturday morning at 11 and was seated pretty quickly. Inside was really spacious and clean. I know this sounds funny but I wanted my dry noodles to not be so dry? Haha. They have their special sauce they add to all their dry noodles and I wanted more of that. Overall, the noodles were good and the soup on the side came out scalding hot. I'm surprised the server carried it over without a tray. They give you pickled raw garlic and chili oil which I highly recommend adding. read more

Tried the new Leung Noodle as this is their second location. It's in a strip mall but parking was easy, even though it was pretty busy. The place is clean and modern, and service was fast. Came on a Saturday during lunch and there was no line, which was a plus. Ordered the dry rice noodle #1 Nam Vang (Saigon shrimp & pork) ($15.95). It comes with sauce, a side of broth, and a plate of bean sprouts, jalapeño, cilantro, and lemon. It was a small portion. I probably should've gotten the rice + egg noodle combo. The rice noodles were stuck together in a clump, but pouring some sauce and a bit of the soup helped break them apart. There was a lot of liver, which I wasn't a big fan of. Also wish they gave a bit more sauce since it looks like they charge extra for it. Didn't realize they were doing 10% off for their grand opening until 1/1/2026, until after we paid. I came here on Tuesday morning around 10:30 am, so it wasn't crowded yet. The server noticed us as soon as we entered and seated us right away. The menu was made of thick plastic, had a nice display, and was easy to read. When I had a question about the 'side noodles' and 'extra noodles,' the server explained the difference patiently. I was happy that this location opened closer to my house :) First time here on a Sunday around 11ish. Super spacious inside so no wait time. I was able to order right away and got my food super fast. I love that they were able to sub out the squid to quail eggs from the #3 seafood noodle option! It's much more lively here than the other location :o Even with my headphones in it was super loud. Honestly parking here is a nightmare took forever to park since the plaza was so busy... I was really excited to hear this location opened down the street because I've never tried it. Disappointing food. The portions are good however the flavor is more sweet in their dry noodle sauce. Meats were good, a lil thick on the liver slices but I like their meats! The dipping sauces, chili and garlic was not good. It felt like everything wasn't fresh and I asked for pickled chili and half of the jar was old and tasted bitter. The side dipping sauce was odd add-on as soon we walked in. Wanted to try the new location because I also love the first one. This one is just sooo delicious! The amount is super generous and affordable for the price. They give you SO much noodles, fried onions, and don't skimp on any toppings or meat. I ordered mi ga and it had so much meat I could barely finish it! I took the leftover soup home and had enough soup and meat to have a second meal!! The soup is also so flavorful and already well seasoned so I didn't feel the need to add many extra. Just a tiny dash of vinegar and chili and it's perfect. At other spots I have to add so much chili and vinegar to make it edible. My husband got the hu tieu nam vang kho and it was very delicious as well with generous and a variety of toppings. I also love that they have pickled garlic and fresh thai chili. A lot of places don't have those and only offer the chili garlic premade. I LOVE the pickled garlic it's tender, a little sweet, and very tangy. I also like that there is sweet soy sauce to dip, many noodle places don't give you any accompanying dipping (rather than basic hoisin and sriracha). The server was very nice and explained the noodle size (only one size) for me and quickly brought out extra sauce upon request. It was also very clean and modern inside after the remodel. One of our family and friend's favorite places to eat is Hu Tieu, and we're so happy there's finally a location closer to our house. The original spot is in Silver Creek plaza, which we've always loved, but this 2nd location did not disappoint at all. I actually love the portions at this location, they're much bigger compared to the 1st one. The Japanese style decor and overall vibe are also really nice. Definitely more spacious. The lighting, layout, and aesthetic make the place feel cute and welcoming. The staff were very friendly. They did make a small mistake with our order, but it was fixed very quickly. The place also got packed around 10am. We were excited to try this location since 2nd locations can sometimes be hit or miss, but the food was just as consistent and delicious as the original. As always, our go to order is the dry #2 Dac Biet (special), which is basically the #1 but with bone marrow. Their garlic and sauce are amazing and definitely one of their specialties. Bone marrow is juicy and delicious. The meat is tender and easily separates from the bone marrow. This was my first time seeing a menu made of a hard plastic board, which was a nice touch. My mom ordered the No. 1 Saigon Shrimp & Pork Soup with egg noodles and said it tasted good as well. Since they're still in their soft opening, I tried to order the No. 8 Wonton Skin Soup to go, but it wasn't available yet. (Take out I ordered some "dry noodle" order which comes separately from the ingredients. The wet part was a container of bone marrow broth/soup with bone with some meat and gristle with bone with marrow in it. They put the "normal"vegetable ingredients in a baggie and give you a small container of some kind of wet sauce and an even tinier container of a hot oil sauce. There's a container(bowl) of a conglomeration of dry ingredients including slices of liver(turns some people off) and other types of meat. I ordered the egg noodles and they come dry under everything else. They give you chopsticks and a spoon and fork with a napkin wrapped around both with a tiny rubber band and a set of chopsticks which come in handy to not only eat some of the dry ingredients but to dig out the bone marrow in the bone. I ate some of the dry ingredients(with chopsticks) then dumped the bone marrow soup into a big bowl with the dry ingredients and stirred into it the the little container with the liquid sauce and a little bit of the chili sauce(not too much). I picked apart the gristle and meat off the bone)with my hand) and poked the bone marrow out of the bone and dumped everything into the conglomerate with the soup of course then heated it some in the microwave. It is a decent sized meal and it was pretty tasty when everything is mixed together. It costs $18++ with tax total. Not bad for a decent sized meal for one person. I want to try some of their other noodle soups. FYI I believe the bone marrow broth was included with the order that I placed. If you order other types of noodles you may get charged separately for the bone broth(if you want it) and I believe it's $13.++ by itself... read more

Our family was here on Saturday 12/6/2025. We ordered 1) Hu Tieu Nam Vang , #2 Mi Dac Biet (Saigon Special) - Kho style (Dried + Leung's Saunce), #9 Xa Xiu (BBQ Pork). Here are our observations: 1) Waitlist needs to be modernized - perhaps using Tablet check-in system like Pho 21- Server/Seater were using handwritten on paper system- some customers left due to availability of tables/waiting time. 2) Maybe divide staff/servers into regions like some restaurants so they only cover 3-4 tables at time and rotate every few hours. Server(s) were taking orders of diners that come in after our family (fully seated) and perhaps others as well. 3) Needs to steam vegetables/produce before serving- we had a plate of celery and bean sprouts for the Hu Tieu Nam Vang - the celery was raw and would not be possible to eat with the soup - The celery was cut into cubes instead of smaller/slender pieces. 4) Dried Noodle bowls (Dac Biet and Xa Xiu) were good and the sauce as well. The meat (liver, etc..) is a little chewy, needs to be cut slimmer or better quality/- steamed or cooked at the right temperature /. 5) Service was good, above average since this was at peak dinner time and it was also their first week with 20-30 diners waiting for tables. read more
