The dry Hủ Tiếu Mì Nam Vang at Leung Noodle was excellent. The noodles were perfectly cooked with a great chewy texture, and the savory sauce coated every bite without being too heavy. The toppings were fresh and generous, with tender pork, shrimp, and plenty of crispy fried garlic that added amazing aroma and crunch. The flavorful broth served on the side was the perfect complement. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and comforting. If you're a fan of dry Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang, this is definitely a dish worth coming back for.
Got seated right when I arrived and place was pretty empty. The menu is simple and straight forward. I got the hu tieu nam van with combination noodles and soup. The combination noodle is pho noodle and egg noodles- I wish it was the flat wide noodles and egg noodles! The broth was ok and there's a lot of condiments on the table to make the broth more flavorful. I like the chili oil and pickled garlic! Price is ok I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. Would come back if I'm in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it
One of my favorite hu tieu places in the south bay! There menu offers customizable bowls with options like wet, dry, egg, rice or other noodles options. Please give this a try! Food: I've given a few different dishes a try here and I personally love the dry egg noodles with the bone marrow. Parking: It can be tricky because this plaza is busy! They have a de milk tea and ice cream shows so you can easily walk around. That said, there is parking. No need to street park. Service: They've always been kind and quick here.

Came for dinner on a Friday and it was quite packed, had to wait a few minutes for a table but everything was super quick afterwards. - Mi Ga Xe (dry egg noodles with shredded chicken) - Hu Tieu Mi Hoanh Thanh (combination noodles in broth with BBQ pork and pork wontons) Enjoyed both the soup and dry formats and the pork wontons were a highlight. Great portions and so many different options. Fun BYO format where you choose a bowl type (chicken, wonton, etc), if you want it dry or with soup, and what type of noodles you want in it.
I've been on the hunt for a new hủ tiếu spot ever since my longtime go-to closed years ago, so I was excited to finally try Leung Noodles. It's located in Silver Creek Plaza and definitely has that quick, eat-and-go kind of vibe. Parking is decent overall, though it can get a bit tricky during peak hours and on weekends. My fiancé and I came on a Sunday around 3:15pm and the place was still fairly packed. We were seated right away, but on busier days you may end up sharing tables with other diners, which was the case for us. We came specifically for hủ tiếu (really cool you can customize your bowl) and ordered: 1. Hủ Tiếu Mì Nam Vang Khô - The noodles were slightly overcooked to the point where I couldn't really tell the textural difference between the rice and egg noodles. The organ meats were well-cooked and not gamey, and the soup was flavorful without being overly salty. Solid overall, but it felt like it was still missing a little something flavor-wise. 4/5 2. Hủ Tiếu Mì Nam Vang Đặc Biệt Khô - The regular version with extra pork and bone marrow. The pork was tender, but unless you're a big fan of bone marrow, it didn't really add much to the dish. 4/5 3. Bánh Quẩy - Not as crispy as I prefer, but still flavorful and enjoyable dipped in the broth. 4/5 4. Xíu Mại - Very flavorful and extremely tender meatballs. Easily the standout dish for me. 5/5 Tip: Highly recommend using the table condiments, especially the pickled garlic. It really elevates the hủ tiếu! One thing that really stood out was the efficient and friendly service. All of our food came out in under 10 minutes, and the staff was attentive about keeping the condiments well stocked. Overall, Leung Noodles is a pretty decent spot with fast service and good flavors, and I'd come back when I'm craving hủ tiếu.
The interior was modern and new which was nice for a Vietnamese restaurant. A thing to note was they don't refill your water and when they do they just give you a new plastic cup. There are a lot of choices for noodles which I liked and it was clear and easy for first time hu tieu eaters to order. The bowl of noodles was smaller than expected.. usually I feel like I get a bigger bowl of noodles. The flavor was different, usually my noodles aren't premixed and the flavor is more light? This tasted almost like stir fried noodles with meat toppings. I've definitely had better but for a first timer I guess I would recommend.

I came here to eat by myself, but felt pressured to order more by the waiter and ended up also getting eggrolls that I did not eat because I was so full from noodles. there was only a short wait when I came, but the restaurant itself isn't very spacious so be prepared to wait a bit during a lunch rush!
Soooo good!!! This plaza is BUSY tho. We came during lunar new year which was packed. There was a bit of a wait, it's a small restaurant. But service was fantastic! Family owned is what it looks like so we love supporting that. I got the dry hu tieu with hu tieu combination noodles. Let me tell yall, soooo goood!!!! Their broth was good. Their bone was tender. The Chinese donut to go along with it was perfectly cooked. Def coming back! And they had every sauce needed for this. Pickled garlic and jalapeño! So good!
This restaurant is located in viet town in San Jose. There is a parking lot. It was my first time here, but my boyfriend's fourth time lol. We got seated quickly and service was immediate. There were quite a bit of people there during the afternoon, but no wait. Inside is any standard looking restaurant. We ordered the Hu tieu nam vang special, which comes with the pork bone and soup. The portion was smaller than I thought, however, it was still filling for me. I did not like the soup as much, because of a strong msg taste to it. But the pork bone was delicious! The noodles itself was yummy as well! The meats were also good I enjoyed the flavoring a lot. We also got a green tea to cleanse our mouth afterwards. Overall, I would rate it a 7/10. Would come back again!
I first walked into the door and they greeted me in Vietnamese. That's how you know the place is authentic!! It was really busy, but luckily they had one table available. I got the #2 Da Biet with mixed noodles. I had the soup version and it was good. Wished there was more meat and noodles, but it was good. I would come back here and try the dry version. Almost everyone in the restaurant had the dry version, so I feel like I ordered wrong, but it was still good. The plaza gets super packed. Took a while to find parking, so just brace yourself for that

The seating is limited though, so I can imagine it gets really busy if you come with a bigger party. Parking can be a bit of a hit or miss, sometimes it's tough to find a spot in the parking lot, so it might be easier to park at Target nearby and just walk over if you notice that you're coming at a busy time. I ordered the dry noodles, and my partner did too. The flavor was good, but I personally felt the portion was on the smaller side. It comes with a side of broth with green onions, but to me it was just okay, not very seasoned. At other spots I've been to, they include a piece of bone-in meat in the broth, but here you'd need to order that as an extra. Hits: * Hu Tieu Nam Vang is very delicious. What really stood out was the seasonings that we can also add into it. The pickled garlic is a must-try, sweet, not spicy, and adds so much flavor to the noodles. Definitely recommend mixing it in as it's a boost in flavor. Overall, I'd say the quality of the noodles is solid, even if the portions are a bit small and doesn't come with a lot of meat toppings. Worth trying if you haven't been yet. Bonus points that they also accept Apple Pay, which is really convenient since a lot of stores ask for cash only.

I've had Leung Noodle bookmarked for so long and it did not disappoint. It's pretty popular at all hours (even during the morning when they open) so be prepared for a slight wait at times, but service is quick. I love how customizable the menu is. You can order soup or dry style, then choose between 6 different types of noodles, then finally choose your broth. The possibilities are endless! We went with the classic which was dry, combination noodles (which includes egg noodle and rice noodle), and nam vang (shrimp and pork). This is their most popular order and you can't go wrong! If you order it dry, it comes with a side of soup. My issue with Hu Tieu Nam Vang at other restaurants is that sometimes it's too dry and there's not enough sauce. Not a problem at Leung Noodle! They have a perfect amount of sauce that coat all the noodles really well. Tons of meat too - I'm not even able to finish it! They have sides that you can use like pickled garlic and chili spice. Would recommend getting a side of Chinese donuts too. It pairs really well with the noodles! read more

Pretty solid Hu Tieu spot in San Jose, and the best part is you can customize your bowl! I came here a while ago and got the soup version of the Hu tieu nam vang, but was craving a dry noodle dish and came back today and it did not disappoint! The physical menu here is so unique, it's like a plaster board idk I thought it was a nice touch. I ordered the Mi Kho #2, so got the dry noodles with their special sauce and a side of the bone marrow soup, and this was DELISH! add some of the chili vinegar and chili oil and chili pepper and this will make it a perfect noodle dish. I usually add a bit of soup to my noodles to help it emulsify and easier to mix! Tucked away in the small plaza and parking can be brutal during weekends with the small spots, but on the weekdays it's a breeze to park here! read more

Update: Leung Noodle in my opinion is still one of the best, granted we are in the South Bay. My "go to" is #2, that bone you'll just have to grab it and suck it all off the bone. The broth is perfect, a scoop here and there. Slurpin away. The side sauce just toss them garlic and hot sauce in and you've got your fill. Service is quick and easy. Crowds do flow in early in the morning and dinner time. Be hungry when you arrive! read more

I've probably tried almost every restaurant in the Paloma Plaza and somehow I've went this long without checking out Leung Noodle! Pretty tasty and I got their classic hu tieu nam vang with yellow noodles and soup on the side. Their sauce + pickled garlic mixed in with the noodles makes it even better! Wish the portions were bigger honestly, but it's fine which means more room for boba afterwards. Solid spot for your hu tieu cravings!! read more
OMG I didn't know this was here, but thankfully my friend brought me here. This place was 10/10. Straight flavor town! It is in a super busy plaza so was happy we found parking and not too long of a wait. They have a variety of things on their menu also, but you don't miss with the Hu tieu Nam Vang. Always gotta get the fried donuts on the side (a must). I don't know what that sauce they give you on the side was, but add some chilis and the pickled garlic and you got yourself an amazing dipping sauce. read more
My friends and I came here on Saturday at around 1pm and only had to wait around 5 mins in order to be seated. Though once we were seated, people had to start putting their names down on the list. They let us look over the menu for a bit before taking our order. I got the Hu Tieu Nam Vang Kho (dry rice noodles) and it was wonderful. They basically gave you 2-3 slices of the meat types and one of the shrimp and squid. The rice noodles were super bouncy and chewy and already tossed in their Leung sauce. My only problem is that it had already solidified into a ball when I tried to mix the noodles and meats together. I would say the organ meats were slightly overcooked and chewy but the rest of the meats were ok. The small soup bowl that comes with it was so good though. It was a nice to sip throughout the meal and a great way to finish off the noodles too. Overall, a great spot to have to Vietnamese food with the family. read more
Had lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. Restaurant was about half full. We got sat pretty much immediately and the waitress came over right away with waters and menus. We barely got to look at our menus and she asked if we were ready to order. Felt a bit rushed but service wasn't bad. Price of each bowl is $15.25-$16.25. Not bad for Bay Area prices! Comparable to SoCal prices. The noodles come pre sauced with their Leung special sauce. Some may find it salty but I loved taking a bite and then slurping a spoonful of broth. I would've added an additional star had chewy clear noodles been on the menu. Pretty on par with many of the Asian eateries in the area as far as service. Parking was easy since it was a Tuesday afternoon but I've been there during the weekend and it can be tough so be patient and give yourself extra time. read more

Ordered the #1 dry version and soup version with Hu tieu noodles. Ambiance noisy and crowded. Service was ok. At first was upset I did not want to sit near the door (cold wind draft). However, she understood after my reasoning and smiled. Overall, I would come back for the food. read more

This my family's favorite place to get hu tieu (rice noodles). Their pickled garlic, soup, flavor, everything is amazing. Price is super reasonable with fast service. Park on the street or at target to avoid the hectic plaza parking. Favorite order is #7 the wontons with bbq pork get it dry with soup on the side. read more

Solid, reliable option for hu tieu in the SJ area! Leung Noodle allows you to "build your own bowl" where you choose your type of noodle, set of toppings, and whether you want noodle soup or dry noodle with broth on the side. Our party got both; we were also delighted to see that Vietnamese udon was an option for noodles. The noodles were chewy and the veggies/condiments such as chili paste and bean sprouts really elevated the dish. You also have the option to add the bone marrow to the broth. In my opinion it isn't worth the extra dollar unless you really like the fatty meat on the bone. We came on a Sunday morning and had no wait. Service was relatively quick, but there were a couple of areas of improvement: they forgot one person's order and the lamps above the tables were very dusty; imagine that falling into your food! Pricing was fair for a big bowl of noodles/soup, and we had leftovers! It is located in the Silver Creek plaza and shares a lot with other popular eateries like Hue and Izumi matcha, so parking may be a bit difficult depending on the time of day! read more

Located in a strip mall, it was easy to find parking. We were promptly seated for a party of 8 pp. Ordering was fast, and the food was delivered soon after that. The noodles were seasoned with soy sauce, so they were very tasty. A bowl of broth came on the side. I ordered the shrimp and pork, but my bowl also had the liver and stuff which I didn't like. My husband was happy to get them from my bowl. The fried Chinese donuts were not toasted, otherwise they would be so much better! read more
Came here for lunch on Sunday, and there were long lines. We waited for about half an hour to get a seat. It was my first time trying dry Vietnamese noodles. Overall, the noodles tasted just ok. We ordered No.1, No.2, and No.6, all combination noodles. Each dry noodle came with a small bowl of soup. The texture and flavor of the noodles were ok.The toppings, including shrimp, pork, and liver, were all overcooked and not tender at all. The side dish, Chinese donut, was good though. One of the best Hu Tieu spots in San Jose. It's located in Silver Creek Plaza, so parking can be a bit annoying at times. The staff is always nice and friendly, and the overall vibe is great. The space is a little small though, and since it's always packed, it can feel crowded. Our go to order is the #2 Dac Biet, which is basically the #1 but with bone marrow. Their garlic and sauce are the best, on the sweeter side, but absolutely amazing with the Hu Tieu. I also love that they blanch the bean sprouts for you without even having to ask. The portion size is a bit on the smaller side, but it's still very filling. If you're a big eater like me, I'd recommend ordering extra noodles on the side lol. This place honestly beats most other Hu Tieu spots in San Jose and always hits the spot when you're craving Hu Tieu. read more
Dare I say it, I have a new favorite place for hu tieu. My old favorite hasn't been the same so much so that I've stopped eating hu tieu all together. But Leung's noodle will have me craving hu tieu yet again. I ordered the nam vang dry with hu tieu noodles and it was amazing! The toppings were generous and delicious too. I was surprised the shrimp was large and not dry. The broth was flavorful as well. The meatball was good, but on the sweeter side. The staff was nice, we were sitting at a table where the sun directly shined into our eyes and they asked and helped us move tables so we wouldn't be squinting the entire meal. There isn't too much seating inside and a good number of people coming in were coming to pick up food to go. The plaza that it's in is quite crowded (there's a lot of delicious dessert spots in the same plaza) and it can be hard to find parking so plan accordingly. read more

Wanted some hu tieu in San Jose and decided to give it a try. Service and food came out quick. I got the dry nam vang with both egg noodles and pho noodles. It was really chewy. The sauce was good. Comes with a small bowl of soup. Very comforting meal. Also comes with a plate of veggies. The chili oil is actually spicy. They take credit card. read more
Dude it was so good. They own the Hu Tieu Nam Vang on Senter too. But that place is temporarily closed. GO HERE. They mix their egg and rice noodles together if you ask for half and half. At first, I couldn't tell (it looked like just egg noodles), but they showed me that it was in fact mixed in. The rice noodles gives the egg noodles some softness. Never thought I'd like it like that but I found it super yummy and texturally pleasing! They're so nice too! Come by! You won't regret it. read more
We found Leung Noodle on TikTok, and I was excited to try them out since I was craving hu tieu for a while. They were PACKED just around noon time on a Sunday; we were lucky that we came in a little earlier. I ordered the #1 Hu Tieu, w/ egg noodles and had it dry. I'd definitely recommend this since it comes with a bit of everything (veggies, proteins, etc). With all honesty, I thought this was just okay. The noodles tasted pretty good with the sauce, but the pork pieces were dried out so it didn't make it the most pleasant experience to eat. The noodles weren't too oily which was a plus. I'd also recommend ordering their fried dough appetizer! Service was solid, and there's a good amount of tables inside - warning though, it is a little cramped! read more
