We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. I stopped by this afternoon to check out MoRA, new proprietors at this site for the past four months (7/14/24). Love the interior refresh. There's sidewalk seating and various onsite configurations. Fresh pastries. Decent menu offerings, natural wines, and other retail items. Great to support an indie and women owned business. One of the owners was very welcoming and kindly fielded all of my questions. I like the fact that they support and showcase a variety of other businesses and promote community through tastings, live music, art events, and pop up events, as examples. Also notable, mega AC. Even I was getting a bit chilly, but then I am sipping an iced mocha. Btw, the mocha was well balanced with dark chocolate, not cloying. And hurray, I wasn't asked whether I wanted whipped cream! I miss ULC, but glad to see MoRA create something innovative and inviting in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood.

We're in a time where we're not sure what type of chemicals and additives are being added to our foods and drinks, and with MoRA natural wines you don't have to really worry about all that. The store has events for the community, check out their website. I think I briefly saw they had hosted a community stand up, live jazz bands, etc.. something for everyone. The owners and staff are so friendly and really know their stuff! I'm excited to have this new addition to the Roosevelt neighborhood. I was a bit apprehensive as I don't often order plant-based meat. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a well balanced and flavorful sandwich with a nice aioli and juicy plant-based sausage. Even a little bit of egg that fell out was seasoned well on its own. The grilled cheese was also very tasty. Both were served on high-quality English muffins, which they also sell to go. One thing I especially appreciate is how light these bagels are compared to some other Seattle bagel shops. They have a great chew without feeling overly dense. Service has always been friendly and efficient. I still haven't tried any of their fish sandwiches, but that's next on my list.
