never had a bad meal at Leverocks since 1969. Try fresh fish all the time. Service is outstanding especially Kyle and Lauren.

I was pleasantly surprised with a wonderful dinner at Leverocks recently. I haven't been here in over 20 years. I was impressed by the specials which included grouper cheeks and chair grilled octopus. My raw oysters were fresh and delicious and the bacon wrapped scallops with shrimp were also delicious. A little overcooked, but had great flavor. Bread with oil dipping was delicious. Also, you do have to ask for it now.

5/5 Leverock's Seafood has been my go-to spot in South Pasadena for years -- and for good reason! The food, service, and consistency are always top-notch. Their shrimp dinner is my absolute favorite -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and it comes with two delicious sides that never disappoint. Their happy hour is a great deal, especially with two-for-one wines, which makes it an easy choice for a relaxing afternoon or evening out. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the peanut butter pie -- it's authentic, rich, and the perfect sweet ending to a great meal. Whether it's a casual dinner or a night out with friends, Leverock's always delivers on quality and friendly service. Highly recommend!

This place has delicious seafood that is always so fresh and with many different options. The service was pretty good, we had to wait a bit for a table but it wasn't too long. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is pretty nice, the decorations aren't anything special but it is always clean and bright in there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely one of our favorite seafood spots by the beach!

    Chicken Cordon Blue FRIED???

I first ordered stuffed Talipia and sweet potatoes fries and sent it back to kitchen. The fries were burnt and shriveled up and the talipia was discolored and hidden under sauce. I ordered chicken Cordon Blu and got breaded chicken also burnt to ugly brown. I talked to manager anded if they ever change fryer oil and cleaned the unit. She said they paid a company. WELL, Get another company. I took it home and took off breading and was shocked at small rolled up piece hard chicken was inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has sure gone down hill since it moved off the waterfront.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've lived here for over two decades, and this is easily the worst food I've ever come across. Nothing was fresh. The tap water was the best thing on the table, oh, and the kale garnish.. Salad is hard to mess up, but they did it effortlessly. Too much dressing (said it was house, it wasn't house). The fish was oily, and came with such little rice pilaf hiding underneath it, I thought that they had omitted it altogether. The fries were straight freezer to plate. I never put hot sauce on fries, but I did today out of sheer desperation. This meal made me sad. Really, really sad.

Leverock's Great Seafood was not great, sadly. Came in on a reasonably busy Friday night and was seated immediately. Place had some cool decor and Christmas lights up inside. Started off great with the drinks and bread/olive oil for dipping. But the problems started with the main course. The shrimp pasta still had the tails on the shrimp. While this isn't awful, it's also not ideal from a patron standpoint. It would probably only take a few seconds to snip the tails off. My grouper sandwich: bite #1 had a bone. Weird. Bite #2 also had a bone. Things aren't going well here. The 3rd bite had a 3rd bone and I was pretty well done with my grouper sandwich. Fortunately, the wait staff recognized the issues. Couldn't do anything for the shrimp in the pasta, but did take my grouper sandwich back and brought some fried shrimp (my second choice from the menu). It was fine, but the fries were slightly undercooked and a bit starchy. This was really a 2.5 star experience, but I'll round up because the service was solid and I was told by many locals that this was an outlier. Regardless, with the bevy of great dining places in the area, I probably won't be coming back here.

My aunt and uncle took us down to Gulfport when we were visiting. The service was friendly. The scrod Jason was really good. The tomato salad (not listed on the menu but the locals know about it) was delicious. Very ripe tomatoes and the sauce was flavorful. We saw a sign for peanut butter pie and it was so yummy. I highly recommend ordering one and sharing it. The prices are very reasonable for seafood.

What we got: *Mango Meltdown - A frozen drink of mango and strawberry flavors, so refreshing on a warm day at a waterfront restaurant! *Category 5 Crab Tots - neither of us really eat tater tots, but this menu item sounded too good to pass up. I'm glad we went with it because it was hearty and flavorful with all the tots, cheese, and lots of crab! *Crab Cakes - really good crab cakes, with plenty of crab. *Twisted Cauliflower - our server warned us these would be spicy, but we were okay with that. They definitely had a kick from thai sauce and hot honey, but nothing that made it uncomfortable to eat, the right amount of spice. We had ours grilled, and enjoyed every bite. Needless to say, we ordered a fantastic meal of appetizers to split while enjoying the waterfront view on a beautiful day. If you are in the area, I highly recommend!

Perhaps we tried the wrong things, but we were hungry (which usually increases the appreciation for the food), and our choices ranged from not good to good. The dip appetizer- Not good. It was the crab dip with seasoned cheez-it shaped crackers. The crab did not have good flavor and the crackers were over salted. Wasn't a good balance for my taste buds. Didn't eat most of it. The oysters appetizer- Good. They were fresh which is ALWAYS appreciated. I didnt like that the shells weren't rinsed, which led to alot of shell in my slurps and the actual oyster sizes ranged from normal to small. One was almost tiny. My main meal- Good. I had the special...a Blackened Hogfish stuffed with crab and scallops. The fish on it's own was ok, but the bites with the stuffing as the whole were good. The rice and beans along with it were cooked perfectly. My friend had the Blackened Grouper and enjoyed it thoroughly. Desserts- Very Good- 50/50. The Coconut Cheesecake was absolutely DELICIOUS, definitely homemade. The Chocolate Cheesecake was just ok, but killed the sweet treat itch. Ambiance- Tranquil. If you're looking for beautiful scenery while eating pretty good food out on the patio area, this is it. The main dining area upstairs was a typical old seafood diner type vibe. The bathrooms are also located upstairs. Service was informative and attentive. It wasn't the best seafood I've had, but I'd definitely come back for the view. Pricing was fair. Check them out!

There's something comforting about a classic, no-frills seafood spot by the water, and Shells…read moreSeafood delivers exactly that. This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.

She got the shrimp and scallops pasta, while I got the seafood deluxe pasta, and it was out of this world. I had enough to take home for the next night, and we both split the desserts, which we also could only eat half. Our service was amazing, very attentive, and was there when we needed her to be. Wow. I expected more from a place rated 4 stars. To be…read morespecific we went to the beach bar because the restaurant wasn't open yet. The very first issue was parking. Parking is minimum $50 a day + fees. A cocktail? For an hour? Haha no. I'm being mildly disingenuous. The bar staff (and likely restaurant staff) will give you a QR code to validate all $58 of your parking. But it made me acutely miss a time when you could just park and patronize an establishment. Just don't forget to validate your parking, cuz they sure didn't ask preemptively. They were celebrating a 3-day grand reopening when we went on Saturday. There was *one* artisan in their market space. The music was pumping loud enough to not be able to converse. Although it drew a crowd of younger folks, there was not much to behold from the "grand" reopening. Not even s cost of paint. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. A bar that wants to serve tourists with mediocrity and move on to the next crop of people who will never be there again. If you're a tourist it'll probably be fine, if overpriced. If you're a local, don't bother. To be fair, we should ask if there was anything good. hm ... no. We won't be returning. 3 stars is probably generous.
