Then I ordered the Crab Stuffed Tilapia with Lobster Sauce ($16.95) and Wing man Gary (USAF Pilot, Retired) ordered the Fried Shrimp ($16.95). We both opted for Caesar salad and fries for our sides. Decent spot for dinner, seafood focused standard fare. I decided to come here based on some of the menu offerings and I didn't have a super high expectation but it was a decent meal. I started with the clam chowder, it was good, super thick and strong taste of celery, not sure if it's a must or a "best chowder", but a good start. I was pleased with the size of the oysters, especially at the price. They were shucked well and very plump. Dinner comes with a salad and I enjoyed the standard Caesar salad. I ordered the Baltimore platter with a crab cake, shrimp and scallops. I was a little shocked by the portion for $32. It was a tiny plate. The food was good though, the shrimp and scallops were not overcooked, and the crab cake was actually much better than I thought it would be. Keep in mind, the quality of Leverocks isn't like you're paying $80 a plate. So my reviews are for quality and price. Leverocks is so reasonably priced, and the quality of the food that relates to its price point is excellent. I ordered fish and chips for $15.95. This was a great deal for a generous portion of white fish, deep fried, crispy and well coated batter, along with well seasoned french fries underneath. A freshly made small batch of coleslaw accompanied the order. Lemon and tartar sauce were on the side. For $15.95 I loved this dinner special. Yes there were a lot of old people in here, but keep in mind old people know where the deals are. I had a draft beer at $4.50, that accompanied my dinner. My dear friend had a wedge salad with shrimp. I don't know what the price was, but it was close to $15. What she got was a generous portion of lettuce with five well seasoned sautéed large shrimp. On top of the wedge salad was blue cheese dressing that she said was delicious. The shrimp were in a little bowl on the side. We shared a lovely slice of Keylime pie for dessert. This definitely was restaurant made, and delicious. Well worth $7.00 With the tip, dinner for two with a drink and dessert came to $60 and change. This was a great great deal. I first ordered stuffed Talipia and sweet potatoes fries and sent it back to kitchen. The fries were burnt and shriveled up and the talipia was discolored and hidden under sauce. This is a restaurant that has been around for many years and I had stopped eating there long ago. I went there 3 times in the last 2 months because my mom loves it. Today I had Oysters Rockefeller and I must say, they were incredible. The hollandaise sauce was light and exceptional. The oysters were so large. They had very small olives on the oysters. I had never experienced that and they were wonderful. My dinner was the Cesar salad with blackened shrimp. The shrimp were large and moist. The bread crumbs were tasty but not crisp. My mother had the Scrod with sweet potato fries. She loves their coleslaw. I also had a Mojito. It was the best mojito I had had in a long time. This is my parent's favorite place to eat so we try to take them at least once a year and it never disappoints. The daytime menu prices are very reasonable for the amount of fresh seafood and sides. My wife died on May 26, 2022. I had never been there without her and never in the bar. So in 2024 I went back and went to the bar, I had a complaint about the bartender and asked to see the manager. She came over and right away told me the last time I was there she threw me out and told me to never come back. I had never been there alone before and was never thrown out. Leverock's Great Seafood was not great, sadly. Came in on a reasonably busy Friday night and was seated immediately. Place had some cool decor and Christmas lights up inside. Started off great with the drinks and bread/olive oil for dipping. But the problems started with the main course. The shrimp pasta still had the tails on the shrimp. While this isn't awful, it's also not ideal from a patron standpoint. It would probably only take a few seconds to snip the tails off. My grouper sandwich: bite #1 had a bone. Weird. Bite #2 also had a bone. Things aren't going well here. The 3rd bite had a 3rd bone and I was pretty well done with my grouper sandwich. Fortunately, the wait staff recognized the issues. Couldn't do anything for the shrimp in the pasta, but did take my grouper sandwich back and brought some fried shrimp (my second choice from the menu). It was fine, but the fries were slightly undercooked and a bit starchy. This was really a 2.5 star experience, but I'll round up because the service was solid and I was told by many locals that this was an outlier. Regardless, with the bevy of great dining places in the area, I probably won't be coming back here. read more

We had a wonderful time as the place was packed, but we likely found two seats at the bar, and James, the bartender, took terrific care of us. We saw on the menu that the dessert was the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake (not photographed here), but that alone is worth coming back for alone! I was so disappointed in the Clam Chowder this week! I would give it a D. I was there twice this summer and both those times it was then a definite A+, the best ever. I have a medical condition were I can't eat large portions. When asked for a kids menu the hosts gave me a rude look! Then when I sat down the waitress said they would charge me for a adult portion ugh! I freaking can't eat all that! The kids price for a popcorn shrimp is 5.99 but they doubled it! Leverock's is the perfect place to go when you want a really nice meal but still want to dress casual. It's dark and relatively quiet, but still very warm and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly -- dressed all in black they're like nice ninjas that appear just in time to refresh your drink with a smile. The food is really strong (I'd recommend the black and blue salad), and drinks are usually BOGO for beer and wine. The peanut butter pie is a great finisher for dessert as well! read more
