This place is just amazing. Small, local. Bartenders rock. Food is excellent. Drinks perfect. Just come here. Worth the visit for sure.

From start to finish our server was perfect! She never let our drinks get empty and even offered more ice!! That's rare in Florida! To start we were given fried pita with homemade hummus and homemade coleslaw. Then came the coconut curry snapper with mango salsa over coconut rice. Fantastic! We also split our go to fried clam strips with fries and homemade cocktail sauce. Finished with a fresh key lime pie! Perfect way to start our vacation!! Thank you Snappers!

I have finally got the chance to review this place...don't come here often enough, however this visit was started out with of town guests wanting to go. We arrived around 12:30 and found a table, party of five...we ended up taking over two seats at the bar...and like the others say, this is a local hang out, not necessarily bar flies...nice local folk. It was a sunny day and the also have seats in the rear, outside which were occupied. Wife had ordered a regular burger and I the cheese...LTO too. For being a thick burger it does take some time to cook, I believe I had finished my beer and started another before it was out...expected, this wasn't to be an in and out stop. I have been here other times and tried the grilled cheese, also recommend. and on another note, the beers are always cold...go in with few friends and you'll have a good time. The grill closes at 2pm, however it re-opens 8-1 on Friday and Saturday nights. Peace.

Pasadena Bar Burgers are legendary. They may be too big for most but they are real beef and authentically American!

If you need a multi-million dollar building to eat a cheeseburger this is not the pace for you. The Pasadena Bar is a throw back to a time when neighborhood bars were owned by people that lived in the neighborhood and were there everyday. A place where most people, if they dont know your name already, have seen you around. One guy calls it the center of the universe because everybody goes through there eventually. The drinks are affordable and pretty strong. The food all comes from a 36" flattop. If you want a burger its the place to go, but their chicken sandwiches and fried bologna sandwiches are pretty outstanding too. They only serve food from 8 am - 2 pm most days. Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 8 pm and who knows when on special occasions. If you haven't gone you should give it a try, unless your pretentious, spoiled or worried about your image.

Last Friday, my buddy & I decided to check out a local dive bar that I heard had a great burger, Pasadena Bar and Grill. He spoke highly of this burger, so I had to check it out. This is a pretty cool hole in the wall neighborhood spot. Nothing fancy, but the bartender was very warm and friendly. We decided to both get a burger with bacon and cheese. We debated splitting a grilled cheese or a fried bologna sandwich. We settled on a cheesey fried bologna sandwich. The food was ready in reasonable time and it looked great. The burger was thick and juicy. The cheesey bologna sandwich looked awesome as well. We dove in and really enjoyed it. The cook came down and checked on us to make sure we were happy. He also offered some amazing homemade hot sauce that was top notch. The food was great and quite filling. The best part was the cost. The burger was $7 and the bologna was $5, cash only. Great value for the amount of food. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit to Pasadena Bar & Grill. The food, service, and drinks were on point and very economical. This is a great little neighborhood bar & grill that I would definitely recommend. Their burgers are pretty popular, so they only do them on Friday. Great spot for a low key meet up with friends.

Simply put. The best burgers in town. If you are on the hunt for a burger this is the place. Small neighborhood local bar with great service . Cooked perfectly and actually tastes like beef. Go by and visit Mike and the girls. Great place to visit for lunch.

Good things come in small packages. This tiny hole-in-the-wall bar is a favorite of the locals. Not a tourist trap.

There's dedicated parking for the restaurant behind the building in the lot, plus metered street parking and garages within less than a block. The main entrance is on the side of the building, on 5th Street S just off 6th Avenue S. Outdoor seating is available, but I personally wouldn't choose it, sitting right next to a busy intersection with constant traffic and exhaust isn't my idea of enjoyable. That said, the interior ambiance alone is worth the visit. Inspired by the historic George Peabody Library and part of the Oxford Commons Hospitality group, the design is quirky, fun. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. Overall, The Library delivers a memorable experience, amazing ambiance, a beautiful setting, attentive service, and excellent food. Next time I'm trying breakfast.

The restaurant is uniquely decorated with floor-to-ceiling books and those old-world aristocratic portraits that make you feel like you've stepped into a quaint literary hideaway. We were seated in a cozy corner with high-backed cushioned chairs that felt like our own little private nook. Perfect for a special occasion that's kind of low key. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the noise level was surprisingly low, which we really appreciated. It made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without feeling overwhelmed. Service was also great - attentive, friendly, and well-paced despite the crowd. Now, the menu... it was honestly hard to choose because so many items sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussels Sprouts and the warmed Burrata to start. The Brussels Sprouts were flavorful and enjoyable, though I personally would have loved just a bit more char on them for that extra depth. The burrata, on the other hand, was packed with flavor - especially if you're a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, this is definitely a must-try. The drinks were a standout, my lychee martini was light, smooth, and refreshing, while my husband's old fashioned was bold and perfectly crafted. He is quite the stickler for a good old fashioned. For our mains, my husband kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which he really enjoyed. It had that delicious smash burger style that hits the spot. I ordered the Chicken Paillard, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fresh, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and agreed that we'd definitely come back. There were still so many dishes we were tempted to try, and that's always a great sign. The Library is a unique and memorable spot that's perfect for brunch, date nights, or any special occasion. Give it a try!

The Wooden Rooster: Where My Morning Got Its Life Together Before I Did…read more Listen... I came here expecting "just a crepe." What I got was a full-on personality upgrade. First off--the vibe. Somehow it's better than Kraft (yeah I said it), but like... calmer, cooler, and not screaming at you before coffee. It's peaceful, shady, low-noise... the kind of place where you feel like you should start journaling or making better life decisions. Now let's talk food. I ordered The B.E.A.S.T. and I'm not exaggerating when I say this thing deserves its own documentary. Bacon. Pesto. Sun-dried tomatoes. Eggs. It was like every breakfast all-star showed up and said, "Let's absolutely dominate this guy's morning." Perfect balance. Crispy, creamy, savory... I took one bite and immediately forgave myself for everything I've ever done wrong. And honestly? This is a WAY better place to start your morning than the bagel place down the street. You know the one. We've all settled for it. We don't have to live like that anymore. Also--huge shoutout to the service. These people were so nice I almost asked if they wanted to come manage my personal life too. Fast, friendly, and somehow still chill. Bonus points for the menu because where else can you go from a Nutty Joe dessert crepe to a Cubano crepe to a PB&J throwback without anyone questioning your life choices? Final verdict: If you're in downtown St. Pete and not coming here, you're making your mornings unnecessarily harder than they need to be. Wooden Rooster didn't just feed me-- it emotionally supported me.
