We just had Lewis & Lewis install luxury vinyl plank downstairs for our home and couldn't be more impressed with the service and installation quality. Mike (owner), Kari and Kaubi (store sales) and Walter, Luis, Will and Daniel (installation crew) were professional, knowledgeable and very experienced. All the plank joints were tight, straight and clean. Each day the installation crew arrived at 8:30 and cleaned, swept and vacuum the sites before leaving. The total cost was very competitive compared to other vendors. We appreciate the integrity of Mike and his staff. read more

Installed a cheaper product for our subfloor than the one we ordered and tried to mark it up 100% from what we could pay at Lowe's or Home Depot. Tried to charge us for call back time to fix their mistakes. Did not treat the whole subfloor, and it is not level to manufacturer's specifications for our product, causing strain on our laminate joints that will not be covered by Pergo's warrenty. Turned our 7 - 10 year floor into a 2 - 3 year floor. read more

After the excellent job they did last year, we recently had new carpets installed throughout and were pleased with the entire carpet install. New base boards were installed along with this project. End result....... It looks beautiful. Some baseboards were installed prior to the carpet and some were after the carpet install. I will suggest it's better to have it done after the carpeting are installed. This can help avoid all the padding foam dust flying and landing on the new baseboards. Lewis and Lewis was recommended to us by our Farmers Insurance to help replace flooring that was damaged by a dishwasher main that went south. They arrived on time with 4 men and did a very good job removing the old flooring and baseboards in our kithc / family room area. They were very very friendly and fixed annoying squeaks that were bothering us for years before laying in the armstrong flooring. The second day Ben came in and finished off the floors, changed a couple of things that the wife wanted and did a really nice job finishing of the floors, the kitchen trim and the new baseboards. Turning a negative with the dishwasher problem into new flooring and now we kind have revisited those two rooms with newer furniture and accessories, same with the dining room and living room. a different leaner and cleaner look. sold the surplus on CLs that weekend also!! If you want courtesy, honesty and good customer care DO NOT go to Lewis & Lewis. They charged more per sq. ft than the suggested manufacturer price but I felt honor-bond to buy from them because I found the product at their store. The contractor over-estimated the sq' ft we needed by over 20 sq. ft. That is after rounding upfront extra. It would have been nice if they had looked at the measurements and suggested a more correct amount. I needed to order more trim but never received a call back after asking for the price although I called repeatedly. I then found out that the trim was deeply discounted and all I can think is that Lewis & Lewis didn't want to be bothered. I have asked for printed installation warranty and they have refused to give me one. I had to call multiple times for copy of the receipt and they were nasty about supplying it. (I want the paperwork because the contractor refuses to give it to me.) They have been consistently very rude, especially the owner. A horrible experience! read more

We worked with Lewis and Lewis over many years and over many transactions. While they had a nice selection of flooring and a relatively decent track record for installation - their book-keeping and customer centric mentality was severely lacking. After writing checks to them which totaled in excess of $10K over a couple years, Lewis and Lewis insisted we owed them $400. After showing them the returned check, they responded "Well maybe that was the 50% deposit and you owe the other 50%" Huh? After haggling for months... they seemed to drop it all together. Only to find out they sent the matter to an attorney! I ended up proving the matter with attorney, but this was a bush-league operation with abacus's, slide rules and cans on strings... There are far better places to get your flooring. read more

If I can get them ZERO stars I would! Communications SUCKs here. Cant get a proper estimate without Mike(owner), who NEVER returns a phone call! He finally returned the call when he had to come to our house to get measurements; he was rude, not friendly and didn't even shake my husband's hand! And he's making thousands off the repairs! VERY LONG STORY SHORT: They put new flooring upstairs as I was at work. The guys who install it treated my house like crap! I had some mix running all up my stairs and dings and dents on my NEW floors that they were installing! (WTH) Everyday when I came home it was a nightmare! Outside of my house there were drip marks and dust everywhere, equipment left places, my extra floor pieces outside in front of my house and in the middle of the garage. I had to call them many times about my drips on the stairs that had carpet. (I have a 2 yr old baby!) Mike Finally called me back and said that my carpet on my stairs were dirty when they got there LOL, funny we just bought the damn house! To top it off they didn't connect/meet the stairs with the flooring at the edge of our stair railing (if that makes sense) We had a pointed part of the wood that stuck out like a sore thumb! After going back and forth we had to get the other company Fjellbo & sons that works with them to set everything straight. Eric at Fjellbo had to call Mike from Lewis to come look at my house to fix everything that wasn't properly done! Too many emails back and forth having to point issues out! Lewis & Lewis does new floors daily, so why treat my house and me like crap & why the crappy service? All it takes is a darn phone call back! Its so sad when you can't even get a phone call returned by the darn owner! He has his office staff making excuses every time we called! Fjellbo & sons is the company who painted and re-patched some water damage we had. (Great Company) Linda & Eric are great! My floors look OK. I think her name was and I'm not sure is i'm spelling it right Kaubi. She called me and confirmed it but the price was different and she booked it on the wrong day. We had Lewis and Lewis install bamboo flooring, ceramic tile and vinyl tile several years ago. They came in well below the estimates of the four places we shopped for this job. They were helpful at the front end and the installers were a pleasure to work with. Needless to say, when we decided to remove all of our carpeting and replace it with wood flooring, we called on them without even bidding out the job. We had some complications matching existing flooring and lining up levels of floors, and they were able to solve the problems with no trouble. We were overjoyed to see installers Ben, Jesus and Walter again. I think it says something when a business values it's crew enough to keep them together for several years. Their hardwood specialist, Daryl, was a pleasure to watch--he matched the stain color of the new floor to our existing 27-year-old flooring EXACTLY. The installers all went out of their way to keep things clean and to accommodate our scheduling issues. I almost wish I had more flooring to replace! We have used Lewis Carpets for years and started when we built our house in 2000. We are getting ready to sell and and needed to update a few things. I looked around for better deals but came back to Lewis Carpets and as I remembered they exceeded my expectations. They were reasonably priced and service and quality were amazing. I worked with Ralph Schiff who was amazing. He understood what I needed and was an amazing resource and explained everything fully. He was understanding since this was a stressful time but everything was orchestrated beautifully from choosing carpet, measuring and installing. Jake, the install coordinator, was also awesome and really made things work with my schedule. The actual installers were efficient, nice and did an amazing job. Our insurance company, Farmers, recommended this business to us to replace our carpets ruined earlier this year. Everyone at Lewis and Lewis was professional, kind and very knowledgeable during the process of choosing the carpets and underlayments. They spent a great deal of time making sure we were getting the best carpeting for our needs and within our budget. We were told it would take two days to replace the carpets; the incredibly talented installers took ONE day. They were curtious, fast and kept our house clean. We had a minor issue with an area where the new carpet did not look right, and the company sent out a specialist to take care of it right away--flawlessly. Went to the store, picked out my wood flooring, got an estimate. Told them I wanted it by a certain date for a gathering at my house. Done! (Actually, Gary came by that morning to tidy up.)
