To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. He was very patient, made sure everything was up and running and made sure all our questions were answered before he left. Thank you to Jacob and Airtime for saving us from the heat!

I initially decided in Dukes of Air in May 2016 after our…read morecondo air unit bit the dust during a hot memorial weekend and the only online venue back then that was avail was Yelp- no Nextdoor, no Reddit... even though this company was bought out- I'm sure several of the original techs still are there doing the same crappy work-- see photos! I had them come out YEAR after YEAR and each time the tech would complain about what the last did. Aside from making a disgusting mess with all of the black tar over my closet room, the front and back concrete patio- they did a Jerry Rig Each and every time! And they stripped the screws and bolts badly. This hvac co. came out for biannual maintenance check -- which obviously doesn't include removal and cleaning of blower wheel and housing, nor does it include cleaning out the water outflow drainage tube that collects foliage debris; which then cause water backup prompting another service call. Btw. I promptly dumped the monthly service fee to get two "system checks" a year because it seems like once they find something- it's due to the last years of other techs doing absolutely nothing! They're all young and lazy looking to make a quick buck and likely forced by the corporate man to sell sell service repair upsell!! I'm not looking over their shoulder step by step and asking what are you doing, what does this mean? But I will for sure moving forward!! I keep my air at 77 and not lower, so there's not a huge stress. They noted a slow leak last February and suggested a leak test. I didn't do it at the time since he said it was slow. Two guys come out, in their separate top of the line Mercedes vehicles, and tell me I need my coil replaced; which is covered under warranty and scared me into schedule replacement for refrigeration leak and coil replacement along with the blower wheel cleaned, because, as the tech said look at what your breathing in (photo). No I am not - that's why there's a filter used inside, but still-well my bi yearly maintenance should include that cleaning!! And why wasn't this brought to my attention in the previous years??!Lazy arses. Since the coil is covered under warranty I was quoted 4 hours labor, coils replacement and fan cleaned and refrigerant at $$$2400!! The next company I used --Larson, a certified Trane dealer- said No leak!! Don't use them either, a grand less as they said no coil leak! But $1550 for refrigerant you can get on FB for free mixed with the new stuff at $15 a lbs and you mark up it up! I'm telling you these dumb techs don't know squat. Then how the heck did refrigerant leak in an enclosed system?? Hey Dukes if Air-/IF the coil is covered under warranty then why am I being charged for it?? This is with my gold member discount since they have serviced my unit exclusively since day one. If it is a slow leak why would the coil need to be replaced? The guy last Feb said it could wait until next year, but the guys today said that it could cause my compressor to blow! Yet my neighbors have their original unit from 30 yrs ago still working?? And-- it was very obvious that they both had to return to the vehicle to come up with a price each time. It was obvious one lead sales guy was teaching a newer guy how to reel the money in for repairs to be done as a quick fix for a couple grand-NOT getting to the root cause. 1) Bad recommendation to use Trane 2) Crap duct work done from day one 3) Crooked, Dumb or Lazy techs thereafter Lastly, the 5 stars are from friends and family members of the hvac techs and owners- it's ALL BS!! And use ai to do your homework and get at least 7 quotes! Find an individual or small business and let these big companies rip off Richie poos!

I called these guys based on the positive reviews here on Yelp, but my experience was anything but. My A/C was working intermittently and they came out and told me it was low on refrigerant (R-22) and recharged the system. As far as checking for the leak they did a 2-second visual check...no soap bubble test, no nitrogen pressure test, nothing. However, they took a good 5-minutes to explain that a leak would likely be coming from the coils and that fixing it would be cost prohibitive and the only solution would be to replace the entire unit. "Let's just wait and see". Sure enough the refrigerant leaks out again and I'm back to square one. Not wanting to have to replace my entire unit, I called another A/C company to get a second opinion. It took this different company all of a minute to diagnose the true cause of the refrigerant leak. They noticed oil coming out of the access ports (Schrader valves). They replaced them with parts that only cost a few bucks, and recharged the system again. They also offered to re-fill the system for free and do a complete nitrogen pressure test if the problem reoccurred, because they were pretty sure about the Schrader valves being the culprit. System is working great. It's pretty clear what went on here. Lewis and Sons tried to prey on my ignorance and sell me a new unit, instead of taking care of a simple fix. read more

Buck showed up morning of install before quoted start time (which almost never happens). They got right to work. They quickly got my AC changed out and got me up and running. They did a great job, aside form that, Buck is a very honest guy that cares about taking care of his clients and getting the job done right. Its hard to find a AC guy you can trust, until now. After several problems they replaced our whole unit. They applied the repair costs to the replacement which was amazing. They come out two times a year and inspect everything to make sure all in working order. We just had an issue with our blower motor and they came out within 34 hours and had everything back up and running. They don't oversell. They are funny nice and honest. They have always been kind to my kids and pets. I know there are a lot of good AC businesses in AZ but I will Always recommend Conrad and his staff.

The system was diagnosed as having low refrigerant and likely a significant leak, with poor cooling performance and a very low temperature differential. The report recommended full system replacement. While those findings can indicate a serious issue, the recommendation to replace the entire system was made without documenting the actual leak location, performing a leak isolation test, or clearly identifying which component had failed. When I called the office for clarification, I spoke with Danny, who became defensive when I asked questions about the diagnosis and why repair options were not being considered. During that conversation, he told me to "stop acting so crazy" simply for asking for clarification on the findings, which was unprofessional and inappropriate. Danny was also confused regarding the home warranty process (see attached invoice from K&K) including statements that I would need to pay K&K directly, which contradicts the home warranty company. For context, I obtained a second opinion from another licensed HVAC company, which recommended a more measured approach including leak testing, refrigerant recharge, and evaluation of individual components before considering full system replacement. At a minimum, I would expect clear documentation of diagnostic steps, confirmation of failure points, and professional communication when recommending a major system replacement. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise other homeowners with home warranty coverage to get a second opinion before approving full HVAC system replacement recommendations from this company. Then the 4th time they came out they said it needed to be replaced. I gave up with them and called Carlos to come give me a second opinion. Shortly after his arrival he figured out the simple fix....the coil inside was completely clogged. He said he would clean it and check everything else for $250. I told him to move forward and then began to tell him about the other work I had done. He immediately stopped me and knew that I had been ripped off. He then provided me photos to show me the previous person never replaced or cleaned the parts they charged me $1,000 for. I was luckily able to get my money back and have my AC fixed thankfully to Carlos. Without them I would have spent over 7,000 replacing a perfectly good AC. Honesty is hard to come by. I would pay double the price to make sure I get the honesty and workman ship I received from Carlos. Don't mess around. Hire them.

It sounds simple but apparently there is some work involved because the place where we bought the lights wouldn't do it. I needed it done asap b/c we had a drywall guy coming to do some other work and I wanted him to be able to patch the hole where the old light was. Dave squeezed us in on a Sunday and I was thrilled. It ended up taking longer than he thought because he had to go buy a smaller box to fit (still only a couple hours total) but he didn't change the price we originally agreed on. Great service!
