El Cajon saved the day with incredible service. I have had this ongoing struggle with Lexus of Escondido after I purchased my RCF Fuji Track Edition. From day one there was a noise that the car SHOULDN'T have been making. I do realize that cars like this use Brembo brakes and I shared with Lexus Escondido that I was not complaining about the braking noise but instead a noise the car is making while decelerating or cruising at speeds below 45 but while the brakes are not engaged. Escondido refused to hear me and after an 18 month battle and a formal complaint with Lexus Corporate I went to Lexus of El Cajon and on the first visit they listened to my complaint, they listened to the recordings I brought and they heard what I was complaining about. I really appreciate finally being heard by this team and I can now bury my frustration behind me and enjoy the fantastic car the Track Edition is. Thank you Lexus of El Cajon. Had been having trouble with my remote connection since a week ago. I was sent to the dealership to get my remote sync with my vehicle so I made an appointment. I came in and felt very uncomfortable. I didn't give anyone my info but one of the ladies I forgot her name, I don't believe she was a salesperson but I could be wrong was kind of off putting. My husband bought a new truck at a different dealer and I've been on the hunt for a Lexus SUV preferably the RX 350. Only because I want to switch from a sedan. I remember being inside and I just did not feel like the woman really wanted me there. Either way I made my way to Lexus San Diego and continued my search there. The service was 10x better. Took the truck I bought from them to Roy Miller shop in El Cajon because it was making weird noises just to find out there was literally almost no oil in the engine. I went in on Tuesday and got my 45k service. The service was OK. I had a issues with the freewash. My car is lowered. So with that I asked if they could still wash the car another way. I was offered a hand wash. So I accepted. Only down fall is I seems that my car was just rinsed and a quick wiped down. You can see dirty wipe marks streaks. And the next Morning I come out and see like scratch marks from what ever they used to wipe the car with. All over the car. I had the car detailed a couple months back. (clay bard and waxed). I recieved a text asking how my service went I text back with pretty much what I wrote in this post. Hoping they would respond and correct the issue. But nothing. no response. Might I add I am closer to the San Diego lexus dealer. I choose to go here cause I had a few bad experience with lexus of San Diego. Hoping it would be different here. I have the worse experience with Lexus of El Cajon ever in my entire life...I got there with my mom; we bought a '18 Mer-Benz and '16 Lexus Nx300h. The Lexus has some dents and scratches all around the body, so the new car sales manager agreed to fix it. When it done, my mom was not happy with the result because there still a deep scratch on the hood, 'to fix it will cost us 2.5k', the manager said that. We decided to trade it in for the 2019 Nx300. And here go the scam...My mom put down $5000 for the 2016 Nx300h...the manager said we will loose around 2.5k for the paper works of the '16 to trade for the '19. Somehow the salesman name Luis not told us exactly how the deal went down since my mom spoke very little English. These guys worked their magic to jack my mom 5k and they succeeded. The money never showed up in the paperwork of the 2019 even though the manager have said it's only cost us 2k deductions for the new car. The paperwork was sent to my mom's house a few days later, before that I call the dealer to ask them to send but they reluctantly do it. The other manager named Marie told me will return my call after 15 minutes trying to find out what happened to my paperwork but she left me waited for at least 4 hours... The salesman named Luis is a irresponsible person that did not gave a rat's ass after I've bought my car. He even told me when I texted him for the paperwork that : 'I'm with my children right now, talk later' which meant he won't give a F...of my problems after I've bought the car. These guys are scam artists; they'll work their magic to steal buyers money. My mom is an example, they stole her 5k. Buyers must be aware of this, go to a different dealer or you'll be regretted. I have all the paperwork shown that they jacked my mom 5 thousand dollars and she's 72 years of age with very little English. I went to get my car serviced here, kevin helped me out. The way that kevin greeted me and helped me, i thought for a second that kevin was the owner of the dealership. Everything from his professionalism attitude, keeping me in the loop throughout the service process. This experience cannot be found anywhere else. Even after I left I felt like I owed kevin something just because of the excellent customer service. I cannot even emphasize how much kevin went out of his way to help me out, he even had a red carpet rolled out the moment i got to the dealership. I also want to shout out gentleman by the name of glenn who was also there when i picked up my vehicle. It was on a Saturday and he happened to be there in his normal clothes, glenn must have been a magician and had a magic wand because when i saw him look over my paperwork within seconds he had my car pulled up with my paperwork ready to go. I also want to add he probably red minds because i just happened yo be in a rush to pick up, i spent no more than 3 minutes at the dealer to pick up my car and leave the loaner vehicle Thank you guys so much for all your help! On 4/26/19 I brought my car to the service department because my trunk did not latch. My trunk was full of property so I really needed this repaired. I paid the $150 diagnostic fee to get this started and to prevent any further damage. I returned to the dealership a few hours later to pick up my car. The estimate was well over $1k to repair. I needed to figure out my next step. The service advisor claimed it would be about 30 minutes and they would bring the car up. Nearly 1 hour later, the car was brought to me washed and cleaned. I didn't think much of this until later. At my next stop, I went to retrieve two pull-ups for my twins. I reached into the trunk and they were dripping wet. I reached further inside to find my brand new clothes and kids backpack were covered with water and ink transfer. I lost tons of items, clothes shoes, kids artwork, stuffed animal and books. I brought my car to Lexus to PREVENT this from happening yet they created tons of damage in turn. I have called several times only to be told " the service manager will call me back". The next day when the service manager didn't call, I'm told " the service manager had a family emergency". How many times do I have to call the dealership to have this resolved? I paid to have my car destroyed by Lexus, spent hours throwing away my possession, paid a detailer to clean the car on the 3rd day of non responsiveness. Why in the world would you wash a car with the trunk open. Who does this ??? I've sent a email with tons of pictures, I have receipts and plenty of documentation and I have borrowed a car due to the unpleasant mildew smell. This is day 5 and I have yet to have any contact initiated from Lexus. LEXUS WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS ?? Update ***** 4/8 I received a call from Marie W. (Guest satisfaction mgr ) & David B. (General mgr) I was advised they would take care of the of this. I was requested to bring in the water damaged items from last month on the 26th. Unreasonable - why would they wait two weeks to ask for my destroyed property that no reasonable person would have "laying around the house". Right after our conversation Marie posted the response. 4/10 As a good faith measure, I brought in a few damaged items that could be salvaged. 4/14 received a call from the general manager. I was advised the will only reimburse a couple of items, the detailing service and the service fee. I was asked " Is that ok" ? NO ! I'm disappointed that they damaged my property; and 3 weeks later have but decided to pick what they want to replace/reimburse. I guess the 27 picture are not enough. They have gone full circle from "they will make this right" to insulting me with a small token offer. Perhaps this horrific business practice will give me a chance to itemize the damaged property , such as papers, art work, documents and other items that I did not include. Between now and court time I can assess the additional damage. Often we feel safer and more secure utilizing automotive business that carry big names. We feel they will be more professional, honest and accountable but this is not the case. Lexus El Cajon failed on each aspect. The larger issue is not that they filled my trunk with water (almost laughable) but the lack of ownership from line level workers to management. so this was dealership number 3 on my day of car shopping. walked in looking for a specific car i wanted to look at. now i will skip the salesmen part as much as i want to name him i dont remember but he was amazing. btw i was test driving 2 different cars a corolla se wagon and a red civic. time to make a deal on the toyota, they would not budge on the price of the car plus $2000 in add-ons. add-ons i don't want. then i wanted a deal on the civic same situation. now mind you the civic haf NO mufflers. not performance exhaust but no as in they were deleted and the tail lights where smoked and to dark to be legal. Salesmen came back and tells me on both cars sorry these are loosing deals so they wont discount them at all. on a corolla that was a RENTAL and a civic that was modified by a kid they wouldn't deal?!?!?!? i just got up said no thank you and left. question though if they are selling cars loosing money how are they staying in business? read more

Just purchased a 2022 UX 250H Sport from here. The price was fair and everyone was great to deal with. Hani took care of all the wheeling and dealing over the phone. Eva took care of me once I finally got to the dealership, 1/2 hour before they closed. The car was all washed and gased up waiting for me when I arrived. Everyone was very nice and the transaction was not at all rushed, even given the late arrival just before closing. The full transaction took 2 hours and I didn't hear one complaint about being held back at work for so long. Totally professional and pleasant experience. Eva even called me the next day to make sure I got home (2 hours away) safely. I love the car and wish the dealership were closer to home for me. Costco members be aware, this dealer forces you to include "dealer installed options" worth of $3,500 that you may not want. I was almost tricked into signing and ordering/purchasing a 2023 NX 350h with mandatory dealer installed fake options by the dealer manager . The sales staff person was a nice person, and wanted to close the deal and was saying, "we have to sell all of our cars with these dealer installed options". This is fraudulent and not right. I would have bought the car if it wasn't for those mandatory options on a car that is not even built or existed in the dealer lot. I would not recommend this dealership at all to anyone. They are giving Lexus a bad name. I also wanted to buy my daughter a brand new Lexus IS 350 also, but not anymore from this dealer. read more

VIP members will get treated very well. I haven't dealt with all the staff so I'm speaking on GERRY & JAY only. They are a bunch of JERKS (which isn't the real term I would like to use)!! My car was damaged when taken for a diagnostic service. After I called to nicely complain, it's been a migraine ever since. I thought since it's LEXUS, they will fix it & problem solved. NOPE! While fixing what was damaged the first time, another area of my car was damaged. They did not correctly fix everything and when I complained, they told me I should be satisfied & they aren't doing anything further. WHAT?!! My car should look the same as it did before the damage was done. You don't get to choose a different color & not match it to the color it was prior...Then tell me, I better pick up my car before they charge me for the loaner. Btw, I had to fight for the loaner because they didn't want to give me one. They had my car for 2 weeks on two separate occasions (4 weeks total). Imagine if I did not have a car and I have 2 jobs. If you ever have a problem, the supervisor & GM are no help. They are trained to belittle you. They use their brand to act as though there is nothing you can do to hurt their image because of their luxury status. I would love to write a review of ALL the events that took place over a 2 month period but I would have to write a book. Gerry & Jay need to be held accountable for the way they treat some of their customers. I will probably continue to purchase Lexus cars for the rest of my life but I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. My husband had been wanting to purchase a BMW and he looked online to see what dealers had the one he wanted. He stumbled upon Lexus of El Cajon online and saw they had a used 2007 BMW 328i just like he wanted in their inventory. We went one day after work and upon arrival was greeted by Martin and Jose, they showed us the car we were looking for and we noticed the car had damage to its body and a lot of scratches, we also noticed the cars headlights needed to be replaced, my husband tried to work something out with them regarding price but they instead showed us other cars and didn't bother to work something out with us. We went back to our car upset because of the service that they didn't care to work with us. Once inside the car my husband decided he wanted to test drive it, since he works in auto body and the body damage to the car wouldn't be very pricey to us since he would be able to do it. We stepped out the car and headed over to Martin so we could try one more time to set a deal and he just passed us over to another salesman, like he didn't want to deal with us, I think since we are both young and look a lot of people don't take us very serious, but working in customer service myself I've learn that it's not okay to judge a person by the way they look, the ones that spend the most are usually the ones you think they won't. Martin passed us over to Joe Billones, and honestly I think that's the only good thing he did for us. Joe Billones brought the car around to test drive and we heard a weird noise in the engine, right away Joe Billones told us that if we took the car that would be looked at right away. During the test drive he answered all our questions to the best of his knowledge and gave us other options in terms of other cars in case we didn't want the BMW, and since we weren't familiar with the area we got lost like twice but he never got upset about it. Once back at the dealer we told him that we wanted to go lower on the price due to the body damage the car already had and he was willing to talk to a manager and see what options he could give us. We ended up getting an amazing deal with an extended warranty, GAP insurance, and Lo-Jack for the price we wanted to pay. Joe Billones has an amazing personality and he has exceptional customer service. He made sure all our needs were met upon our purchase and made us feel comfortable with the purchase. Since it was already late and the banks had closed, Gabriel gave us an offer that was good for our bank and he answered all questions we had while signing. The next day or so he called us to tell us another bank had given us a lower interest rate, so we were beyond happy that Lexus had him, most of their workers put their customers first, another dealer wouldn't have probably cared about calling us since we had already signed the contact. Joe Billones and Gabriel made an experience with a dealership easy, knowledgeable, and stress free. Besides the typical car dealership interior, which I can easily overlook, I had a poor overall experience. On a routine service (I had a 7AM scheduled appointment), nobody acknowledged my presence until 720AM. I was promised my car by 930AM, and after texting my advisor with no reply, I called at 10AM asking for any update. After waiting on hold-without speaking to anyone-until 1015AM, I finally spoke with my advisor and asked for a manager, who was conveniently in a meeting. I am still awaiting a status on my vehicle and a call back from the manager. Update: Manager called me shortly after and apologized that they could do better. I will give them one more shot in 5,000 miles, but if I am again unimpressed, I'm heading to a Toyota dealership. read more

Despite not being able to be present during any portion of the shopping experience (my wife did everything for me via Power of Attorney), Steve was very helpful and set up the test drive for my wife. Purchased an L certified GX 460 this week. Hani H was our sales person. Hani showed us the features of the vehicle and turned us loose for a test drive. When we came back, he was not turned off at all when we said we wanted to go test drive a new 4Runner at the Toyota dealership. Hani said absolutely - you should make sure you pick the right vehicle for you and didn't pressure us at all. He said if we wanted the GX, he'd be there to help. Couple of days later, Hani took care of all the paperwork and even delivered the GX to my door to save me from getting down to El Cajon again during rush hour.
