I'd like to preface this by saying I have bought 4 cars and leased 1 from Lexus of Fort Wayne, all without issue. After this experience, I will never purchase a vehicle from any Lexus ever again. I wanted to purchase a 2021 IS 300 AWD fully loaded with Carmel interior and Caviar exterior as an early Christmas present to my wife. I had contacted Lexus of Fort Wayne in early August of 2020. They had promised several different dates but we ended up not receiving the vehicle until January 14th 2021. It had been sitting at a dealership in New Jersey for months prior and although we told them this, they kept blaming shipping containers being stuck in the ocean although they did end up getting it from New Jersey. They had kept bringing up the price of getting it from one dealership to another which we think is what was keeping them from doing it to begin with. After receiving the the car for the purchase price of $45,500.00 my wife began having problems starting her vehicle shortly thereafter which is of course strange seeing that it is a brand new vehicle. We took the vehicle in on March 18th so she only had the car we waited on for over 5 months for slightly over 1 month. After only having the vehicle for 1 month it has now been back in the possession of Lexus of Fort Wayne for over a month as today is April 20th. We were told the vehicle would be ready April 1st, April 14th and now they are saying it won't be ready until June 2nd. I have called to speak with the new general manager several times but to no avail. I have left messages, other times the people tell me they don't know how to transfer me to him and although I call frequently he is somehow always in a meeting. At the very least, I'd like a discounted rate on a car payment that I pay $800.00 a month on. I think in this case, with the car being brand new and not having it for this long of time, the payments should be waived completely until we have it back in our possession and it is working properly, at a new $45,500.00 car should. A company that I had only sung praises of has now become my new nightmare. I would even text with casually the old owner and employees of the dealership and it went from feeling so personal to the most snobbish, pretentious, unethical and rude people I have ever dealt with. I'd also like to note that when we first took the vehicle in for a repair I assumed it would be something that would take no longer than a week or two and I was in the market to buy a second Lexus. They have had no problem calling me for months in regards to purchasing another vehicle but when it comes to getting a hold of anyone we're trying to speak with anyone about our current vehicle they refuse. I was very interested in their new LS Hybrid which would have came to over $100,000.00. I will now be going to Mercedez and have already placed my call for their 2022. The difference has already been such a breath of fresh air. I can no longer say that I recommend Lexus. Not only Lexus of Fort Wayne but Lexus in general as I used to consider at the most reliable vehicle but it obviously is not. I would not have spoke about this publicly had they been willing to make this right with me but after waiting this long and giving them plenty of time to make this right, I have decided to go public. read more

Why are you charging me 3.5% when paying for routine service ?!?! I have been a Lexus customer for several years - Lexus engineering & design being the main reasons. Today I picked up my car after routine service. I was informed when paying by credit card I would be charged 3.5%. My wife and I had a great car buying experience at Lexus of Ft Wayne. I was looking for a C5 Corvette and they had one with low mileage that looked interesting This dealership is a 2.5 hour drive from my house just to look at a car. So Maddie made a walk around video and more pictures for me so I could get a better look at it which helped a lot. We decided to go look at the car and made an appointment in spite of the long drive. Maddie had the car parked in front of the showroom so it was easy to pick out of the cars in the lot. I looked it over and made sure the engine was cold so I could hear if there were any unusual noises. The C5 Corvette's LS1 engine is old school with solid lifters and push rods which can be noisy with a lot of clatter until it warms up. I just wanted to make sure there weren't any unusual sounds that would make me worry. A warm engine can cover them up. I took it for a test drive, and Maddie my tour guide, asked how I liked it so far. The after market muffler was not something that I liked and told her it was way too loud and not acceptable. Also the tires resembled slicks which is something that I strongly dislike because while they are made to go fast they don't feel like they grip the road as well as I want them to when turning. When we returned to the dealer's showroom Maddie asked me again how I liked the car in front of her sales manager Mason, who was the previous owner of the Vette. I explained what I liked and the 2 things that I didn't like and that those 2 things were deal killers. We talked at length about solutions and Mason said he could source a 2nd hand replacement muffler system that was the stock exhaust system for this car, and they could put new tires on the car and split the cost with me. That seemed attractive but I was still undecided. My wife and I left to go home since I had an appointment the following day to take a 2nd look at another Vette. On the way home we stopped at a restaurant for dinner and discussed the pros and cons of both cars. Because of the willingness of Mason to make the necessary changes to their car, I decided to buy theirs. They put new tires and a second hand exhaust system on and I bought the car. When we went to pick it up I expected a push for their financing and an extended warranty. They did offer financing options that were competitive with my credit union and bank, but I didn't take theirs. I considered their warranty offer since the C5 Vette is an older car. Based on my own experience I never used an extended warranty, ever. So I turned it down and they didn't give any hassle about not taking it. This was probably the most pleasant car buying experience that we have. My wife hates car shopping intensely, but she enjoyed this one. out of towners on a Friday - early afternoon, with our 2012 Lexus RX350 making strange noises. three hours from home - two hours to our destination, tough situation to find someone to take a look at the vehicle let alone complete a repair. Lexus of Fort Wayne came to the rescue on a drive up help request. Service Advisor Patrick listened to our concerns, quickly checked out our SUV and slotted it into the shop. A couple hours later we were back on the road towards our weekend getaway. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to take a deposit, and then sell the car to someone else because they offered more money. What a business does when the market they are involved in is not doing well, is most likely the raw version of who that business is. My husband contacted Keith in sales by phone to come and purchase a car. Made sure the car was still available and at the dealership, we were told yes. Drove over an hour and arrived at 5:30p today. Once we arrived, we asked to speak with Keith and were told he was with a customer, so we were going to go with another salesperson. Once we told him the make and model of the car, we were told by the sales manager that the car was not at the dealership. My husband and I informed him that we called to verify the car being at the dealership before driving over an hour to see it with the strong possibility of purchasing. The sales manager then told us that the GM took it to Marion for the night. We asked if they could get the car back and we're told no. So I asked to speak with someone higher than the sales manager, which would of been the other GM. He left and came back and told us the GM was with another customer. I told the sales manager that we would wait, but he told us that the GM would not be able to do anything about it as the vehicle is not at the dealership and there was no way to get it back there. I asked him if we would be able to speak with Keith and the sales manager said there is no reason to speak with him as he cannot do anything about the car. I just wanted to know why we were told that the car was at the dealership and available, drove over an hour, to be told the car is no longer here and left shortly after we called. The sales manager, I think his name is Brady, then said he had received a $1,000 deposit on the car and if it did not sell this weekend would go to this other buyer. I told him we were there to look at and purchase the car, so it would be sold this weekend. He told me that this was his sale, had the deposit, and he would still have the car Monday because we cannot purchase it as the car is not there. This sales manager was completely rude and needs to be re-trained on customer service or be fired for how he treats people in disrespect. My husband and I would have never wasted our time or we would not of made it all the way to the dealership had Keith got off the phone and checked on the cars status and got it out and ready for us. If the GM did take the vehicle he could of courteously called my husband back and advised him of this information. Do NOT buy from this dealership!! They are disrespectful, rude, talk down to you when they are the ones who messed up, and never apologize for their mistakes! read more

Class act car dealership. We have purchased a lot of new vehicles, at many different dealerships in different areas (travel for work). On average a new vehicle every 12-18 months. Mason, and Lexus of Fort Wayne set the bar very high for a quick, no pressure purchase! I called in to ask about a vehicle and he got back with me in the promised time (under 30 minutes) to answer all my questions. When I arrived he had the vehicle out so I could see it. Mason was VERY honest and not a typical salesperson. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and when he did reference feature and benefits, it was because I asked him why I should buy this particular model vs another brand I was looking at. He even pulled up the specs on the other vehicle so we could compare them side by side. I went to the other dealership to look at the other vehicle I was considering and told that salesperson I was considering the Lexus and that salesperson was essentially done talking to me at that point. Financing through the dealership was smooth, and Lexus was offering some financing deals way better than our credit union. The vehicle was ready when we arrived to do paperwork with a 20 minute notice to them. No pressure to buy finance products which is a HUGE plus, who wants to waste valuable time being beat down to buy add ons they do not want?!?! Now here is where they really made the process exceptional...when we were looking at vehicles in the showroom before signing, a lady who I am guessing was the GM was walking out of her office with signs and said to another salesperson "December to remember " and I looked and saw the cars with bows. I've always wanted a new vehicle around the holidays with a bow and I mentioned to her I guess my husband messed up and didn't call to ask if you could put a bow on my new car. Guess what...when we were done signing and I went with Mason and Lilly (product specialist) to go over the new car it had a big red bow on it!! My parents that are elderly, 85 and 84 - my father is hard hearing and my Mom has a hard time understanding things, were recently taken advantage of. They were trading in a 3 year lease vehicle from another that had a substantial pay off amount. They were told the dealer was taking care of it, meaning the paper work, which my parents thought they were handling the pay off of the lease. Not once were they informed of the amount of payment they were paying to pay off the lease and turn the car over to Lexus of Fort Wayne. There was depreciation applied that added to the cost as well. Once I found out their monthly lease payment was $926 for 3 years which the dealer graciously lowered to $510 after my parents wrote a check for $15,000, I could not believe it. I know my parents and they would never agree to paying off a lease early and turning over the car to the dealer to resell at a hefty price of of $43,000. I placed a call to Patrick O'Keefe and advised him of my thoughts. After 16 minutes of attempted smooth talking by Patrick he admitted my parents paid off the remainder of the lease and turned the car over to them. I have informed my parents of the situation and needless to say they are sick. They are very frugal, conservative and hard working people (factory work and farmer for my dad, full time stay at home for my mom along side of helping my dad on the farm), which is why I am so upset they were take advantage of. If the dealer does not agree to help the out with this we will be contacting the Indiana State Attorney General. read more

The men in my family are somewhat Lexus-crazed. My brother-in-law Bryan has two of them right now; one of which is being stored for the winter in his garage under a warm blanket (my sister calls this Lexus "the mistress") and one of which my sister is currently driving. He's ready to buy a third Lexus, an SUV for my sister, so he can give my niece the second Lexus and give the Saturn she's driving now to my nephew. (Confused yet?) It's no surprise that when my brother Alex was ready to buy himself a Lexus, he called Bryan for some advice. Unfortunately, they weren't able to connect before my brother made the big purchase, but regardless, he ended up with an incredible car: a gorgeous black 2004 Lexus ES 330 with pearl gray interior and a multitude of bells and whistles. On Thanksgiving, Alex and Bryan went on a joyride and then huddled over the family computer building their dream car on the Lexus website. Men! They're so cute. Anyhow, I wanted to buy a Lexus keychain for my brother to commemorate his purchase and stopped by the Fort Wayne dealership to pick one out. However, they don't carry keychains - the gentleman I spoke to there, Colby, told me they don't sell a lot of branded merchandise. I explained my predicament to him: I was only in town for the week and didn't want to order it from a catalog. I wanted to give it to my brother while I was there visiting. Colby went into the sales office and brought back a beautiful silver Lexus keychain that is normally reserved for people who buy a new Lexus off the lot. He gave it to me at NO CHARGE, even apologizing because it was engraved with Lexus of Fort Wayne on the back! That is the kind of service that makes me want a Lexus for myself. Oh, and my brother absolutely LOVED the keychain. =) The only reason I can't give five stars is because when I went back a few days later to buy a gift certificate for my brother-in-law, it took 45 minutes because they aren't accustomed to handling that type of a transaction.
