After a long morning of walking around old San Juan, I was looking forward to going to try some local food trucks within a short driving distance--excited to come across this one. They didn't have the fresh catch available that other Yelpers recommended so I ended up ordering the roasted pumpkin soup and the chicken thigh that came with a side (chose the chickpeas and rice). The roasted pumpkin soup ($5) was pretty salty. To be honest, I couldn't really taste the sweet pumpkin taste, but still decent. I think the other foods stood out more. The chicken thigh ($12.50) was so good, tender, and juicy. The chimichurri sauce on top was chef's kisses--definitely recommend. The chick pea stew and rice were also plentiful and a hearty complement to the chicken. In this age of rising food prices, it was a pretty reasonable cost of $12.50 for the 2 chicken thighs, rice, and chickpeas. Tried a bite of someone's shrimp roll sandwich and I absolutely loved it--the buttery soft toasted roll with shrimp cooked just right--I definitely would've ordered that too. Overall, this was some of the best food I had while visiting Puerto Rico. Located in Miramar food truck park, we found parking in a nearby lot with a $7 fee. Picnic tables located under tents so there was adequate shade.

Food was outstanding! We had to wait a couple of days to get here because of the holidays (New Years) and power outage, but it was well worth the wait! We had the grilled chicken thighs and tried sure if both chickpeas and also the green banana "escabeche" - both were great, and the chicken was done perfectly: nicely seasoned and with crispy skin, but meat falling off the bone. Also had the bacalao fritters which were fluffy and delicious! All in all the food highlight of our weeklong visit.

Started diving in before I could take the pic! Amazing and delicious with fast service ! So happy I picked this food truck out of the rest. The chimmichurri on top the roasted thigh sets it off! Highly recommend. If this is how he cooks chicken the rest of the menu must be amazing !

It's the smallest food truck at the Miramar Food Truck Park, but they put out the biggest flavor of all.

I got a mofongo relleno with chicken. It took about half an hour to receive my order and there were no other customers (1 star off). I thought the taste of mofongo was mediocre. Maybe I am just not that into savory plantains that make up the mofongo, but I like sweet plantains much more. I can see how this space can be a great hang-out with a large group of friends, but with the limited number of kiosks open and the long time to get my food, I was disappointed.

It is laid out so nicely and has just about anything you could want to eat and/or drink. It's a very vibey place and in an excellent area. We enjoyed trying a multitude of ethnic cuisines while here plus some delicious drinks and beer too. I wanna say that the arepa we had was one of the best things I've ever ate. The empanada was so good that my gf almost orgasmed lol The mofongo with shrimp was spectacular. The pizza we ordered to take home before closing hit the spot later that night. The beers were tasty and the mixed cocktails were banging. I could live at this place. Rent me a space so I can throw up a tent and live my life man lol Please check this place out for maximum pleasure. See you again soon... Sláinte,

The truck is ran by a really sweet young lady whose family is from Peru (hence the name)! She incorporates the Peruvian flavors into her dishes and they are dynamite. The shrimp ceviche had a good balance of the sour, salty, savory flavor and we loved the fried yams that it came with! They're almost like a sweet potato wedge, but has the texture of a yam. And when it's deep fried, it is so good! Be careful with the spicy sauce on the side if you can't handle heat, because it's pretty spicy! I also had my first churro here and I loved it! It had a crispy exterior with a chewy center. Although, the portions were a bit small for the price, everything here was really well balanced and I really enjoyed it.

This little food truck was a great substitute located just a couple of miles East of Old San Juan. Three of us split a pound of lechon, a small chorizo rice, and 3 empanadas (chicken, shrimp, and beef.) Our total came out to be just under $25. This was more food than we could eat. The lechon was delicious -salty, flavorful, meaty, and just the right amound of tenderness. Their tangy hot sauce was a grrat accompaniment. The empanadas were hot and flakey and just plain amazing. The rice was good, but pretty average. They had many other delicious sounding items on their rotating menu that we didn't get to try. Keep in mind they don't serve lechon everyday if this is what you are after. We came on a Saturday and they did have it. They have a facebook page en espanol that seems to be updated pretty regularly. The truck is located between the Shell gas station and the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana San Pablo. Look for a black trailer with a couple of shaded tables right off the Shell. Many people biked here as it's right along the paved pedestrian/bike trail that follows the water. Come check it out! You won't be disappointed.

We are so glad we found this place! I recommended to the owner to add themselves on Yelp so that others can experience this hidden gem!
