I'm thrilled to report that the chive momos are still stellar, especially when paired with the incredible dry chili oil afforded to each table. Keep in mind these Tibetan style momos are for momo purists. If you're looking for varieties in the form of chili momos or sandeko momos, I'd recommend some of the excellent Nepalese options in the area like Mo:mo Crave or Kasthamandap. Always so delicious. It's never been very busy when we've went but the food is always outstanding. We always get the steamed beef momos and steamed beef and chives momos. The momos come out piping hot. The dough is so chewy and the filling is packed with flavor. The beef momos have a great umami flavor and the beef and chives momos are overflowing with a fresh chive flavor. The spicy sauce that comes with the momos is also no joke so fair warning! We also love their thenthuk either fried or soupy. 10/10 would recommend! Since I've started working at Elmhurst Hospital a month ago, I've come here at least five times - twice in person, but mostly via Doordash. It's conveniently across the street from the clinic, and the food is excellent. Service is a bit hit-or-miss depending on who's there; one time, our table had to go up to the server/cashier sitting at the desk multiple times just to ask for a soup spoon, water refills, water cups, and our check (at various points during our stay) because she only dropped off food and never came back. I've only ordered three things because I just love the chicken momos so much: the beef momos ($9), the chicken momos ($9), and the chicken momo noodle soup ($10). Everything is very reasonably priced, and I think these are some of the cheapest and tastiest momos I've had in this area so far. I do much prefer the chicken ones to the beef ones, which have a curry/cumin flavor that I don't particularly love (even though I usually love that flavor profile). The chicken momo noodle soup saved me when I had a cold; it was perfect for my sore throat and I ordered it several times. If you dine in person, you can get the momos deep-fried (extra $1). I'm still trying all the other momo places in Jackson Heights, but this is my favorite so far. read more

Can I get a woop woop for soup soup! What a bright and cheery inside. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a welcoming interior from the same owners as Lhasa Fast Food in Jackson Heights. This location however has more ample seating and no need to navigate around the electronics store and scavenger hunt to find the bathroom( though it's all part of the charm haha). As today was warm, I got the beef noodle soup complete with Bok Choy, lots of ginger, and very fresh noodles with a nice spring too them. I was tempted to try the Pork Rib Soup but alas the waitress said it's as marinated in red onion which I am allergic to. Oh well. I can't wait to hear how that was. Impressively the giant and hearty bowl of soup was only $8 as were most of the dishes. They have the momos and and all of the classic noms of their other location. One of my friends posted this place on their Instagram and the food looked amazing ( they got the pork momos and pork thenthuk), so I became interested! I was super excited for their vegetarian options because there's not many places where me and my friends can eat because they do not have vegetarian options. Tasty Tibetan, Himalayan, and Nepalese eatables we experienced are Chive Momo and Veg Thenthuk. Choosing these two brings unique distinct tastes, each intriguing and satisfying. The 20 minute or so serving time is totally reasonable especially allowing the Momo to evolve. We exchanged with each other assurance of pleasurable food sights and tastes while immersing in the experience. Ordered from uber eats two Chicken Momos but got BEEF with chives momos instead. I don't even eat beef and I had to throw that away. I asked for a refund and they said, 'it (the system) is not letting me". What bullshit is this?! I work at a restaurant too and I know refund is possible for online delivery. I have been patiently waiting for my refund but they don't seem to take it seriously. I go to this restaurant often to have momo and this is my first time ordering online. It is always stuffed to the brim with chives, and really what else can you ask for? - VEGETARIAN THENTUK: You order this if you want great hand cut noodles in soup. The veggies in the soup differ, and the broth is good, but the noodles are the stars. - VEGETARIAN CHOWMEIN: The spicy level in this dish can lack consistency (compared to original storefront). But if you let them know how spicy you want it, they'll pay more attention. But again, the noodles and stir fry veggies here are well worth it. Great spot and great value for your money. read more

Now you have a girl who gets the orders wrong. Puts out food one person at a time and sometimes the wait for the other food takes up too 10 minutes. She doesn't give napkins or offer silverware. Came here for lunch with a co-worker as we have been craving momo's. But we also wanted to see what kind of food they have as they just opened up. We sat down and were tended to by the owner it seems. He started to tell us how they have an award for best momo in 2014 or 2015. Which I guess is great to know, but that was 3 years ago lol. In any case we wanted to try these award winning momos. I also ordered the salted beef and my coworker ordered a chicken dish, fried chicken i think on bone. The site doesnt have a menu so I cant give you the actual order name. So the food took some time, which i guess is good because its fresh. When our food arrived, I was surprised at the amount of food given, because it was alot. My salted/spicy beef was very good, and after a while, a bit too salty. The rice was pretty good too. The momo's kind of didnt meet my expectations though. They were ok, but I wasnt really impressed and have had better ones in the area. Amazing service. I went in to pick up the take out order that I placed over the phone. I was greeted by the person at the counter and was asked to sit for few mins till the food arrives. Very pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious. Will definitely repeat. I gave this place 3 tries, this is the first time I tried Tibetan food. Place looks clean, their menu is small which means things are fresher. It does take some time to get food though, so be patient. First time i think one of the owners took my order, not really welcoming, but then again, he seemed busy, so perhaps should give him the benefit of a doubt. NOTE: Signature Dish are all noodle soups. FOOD: bit oily for my taste, on these 3 visits i tried: Steamed Beef and Chives MoMo; very tasty, it has a LOT of chives, so if u like chives u will love this one. Lamb Thenthuk and Fried Beef MoMo; Lamb as usual has a particular strong taste, but i feel they could have cooked it a bit longer, it was a bit chewy, the fried beef momo did taste good but i recomend it steam, also portions are big here, if u dont eat a lot ONE MoMo is good enough. Potato Fry, Pork Thenthuk, and Butter Tea; again, portions are big, in this order i really liked the Pork Thenthuk (pork noodle) the Potato Fry has a good taste but if u don't like spicy food then this might feel spicy to you, but maybe it could be shared with a friend i was NOT fan of the butter tea. It literally tastes like tea with butter. Food again feels oily but we must keep in mind the location of it's origin, the diet depending location tends to be heavy in fats, it's what has kept the locals alive in cold places or scarce food resources. Therefore, understanding where it comes from, we can understand why it feels greasy and heavy. I LOVE IT that they have big tv with their their singers performing, its beautiful in my opinion. Would i return? Maybe, their food is not bad, it has flavor, i have only taste non spicy dishes since i am not too big on spicy food. HOWEVER u CAN order the fried meat without chilli I think they deserve 4 stars, nothing that will make u say WOW! but you won't ve disappointed either. read more

Tried this place for the first time yesterday, ordered the beef & chive steamed momo, beef thenthuk soup and pork chilli with side of white rice. Everything tasted pretty good and prices are good too - the only thing I wished for was more filling in the momos, and more veggies in the thenthuk soup (though they also add glass noodles in addition). I order tea and chicken dumplings. Got the tea right away But waited about 35-40min for 1st chicken dumpling. Chicken Dumpling wasn't fully cooked so, I asked waiter to recook for few more minutes. For the second momo, waited about another 35min, but still no show. All I see was, they were handing take-out food only. They didn't care about dine-in customer. Not only my table but I can see other table having the same thing. They order the food but still haven't received. I walked up to the cashier and told her to cancel the order since, she didn't know how much longer it will take. While canceling the order cashier just say"sorry" not thing else. Having read reviews on Yelp before checking out this place, I ordered fried Beef Chive Momos even before sitting down (and 2 butter teas). I do find that it takes long for food to come out when eating Tibetan food. When I'm not in a rush, I just figure everything is made to order and try to sit back and anticipate the deliciousness that is being prepared. The server came out w/our tea, took the rest of our order, and brought us 2 glasses of water. The place looked very clean. There were 2 tables w/patrons who came before us: 1 w/6 people and 1 with 3. Everyone seemed to be having a nice time and they were all happily chatting and eating. Within 10 mins, a steaming plate of delicious smelling and looking momos came out. After a couple of mins, she came out w/a huge bowl of lamb noodle. I forgot that the noodle dishes are also soup, unless it says it's served dry. We were fine w/it. We ordered it, we'll eat it. They brought an empty smaller bowl w/spoon so we could share, and we did. Another 10 mins, and our lamb ribs came out. I had asked when we ordered if they are very spicy. The server confirmed that they are spicy. She looked at me w/concern. I said w/a smile, "it's okay, he likes it." Pointed toward my SO. She was kind to ask me if the lamb ribs were okay. I was very happily munching away, but managed to report that everything was delicious, and the ribs were not at all too spicy - not even for me. I enjoyed a couple pieces, but that was it. We ordered so much food, it turns out. Really happy!! As others mentioned, the portions are very fair, prices reasonable for what you're getting, and we enjoyed the delectable flavorings very much. The flavor of the cumin lamb was good, unfortunately the best tasting items within the dish were the accompanying stir fry diced peppers and onions. The lamb was chewy and fried. My husband bit into a thicker piece and it was raw. Whateves we just didnt finish that. Alright to the momos. So disappointing! They tasted frozen, not fresh at all, and worst of all questionable meat quality. When we ate at Lhasa Fast Food few months ago, they were handing out menus for this restaurant so I assumed it was a sister restaurant of similar quality. Not at all and thoroughly disappointed. This restaurant serves up hearty and delicious meals. I tried the Pork Thenthuk...amazing. The dish was a welcoming treat on a cold day. I don't even know where to start my description... the Thentuk had a mixture of glass noodles, chunky noodles, bak choy, wood ear mushrooms, onions, pork, and all sorts of other vegetables. There was also a generous amount of ginger, which I love. They do not skimp on the amount of meat present in the soup and the portion size itself was more than adequate. I came with friends and we enjoyed our food and kept talking for almost an hr after. We came on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. The service was a good pace. However, we were a group of 3 and each of us received our meals at staggered times with a decent amount of lapse in between each one. So that was the only slightly annoying thing. Absolutely spectacular food, great service. Wife and I had No issues at all with waiting for food, as has been reported earlier - it was delivered in a reasonable time even though the restaurant was fairly full on a Saturday late afternoon. It would have been worth a wait, though - the Lamb Thenthuk was out of this world, and the Momo, we had chicken and beef & chive, was delicious. The food here is ok. Nothing special compared to other similar restaurants in the neighborhood. But the service is terrible if you can call it service. In a restaurant where there was only two of about 15 tables occupied, it took the guy 20 minutes to even bring us water. Then half an hour later one of the three things which we ordered arrived. After 45 minutes of waiting I asked him about our other items and the guy seemed surprised that we had ordered other items. He said he will check in a minute but then didn't even bother going back to the kitchen. Finally an hour after we sat down we just left money on the table for one dish we ordered and left. read more

Three stars for delicious and cheap momos. They serve 8 pieces for $8 and one order is very filling for one person. However, they are VERY slow and the food comes out staggered so people in our party ended up eating and different times. It took 30-40 minutes for the Momo's to finally come out.
