This place doesn't know the difference between sweet and sour/ orange chicken and General Tao chicken. I am not even Asian and I know the difference. I ordered General Tao and they gave me orange chicken. when I took it back and asked why I was given orange chicken and general Tao she told me they all taste the same and it was generals. I asked for a refund and was only given $7 back. it cost 10.68. and when i asked why I didn't receive the full refund I was told because there was nothing wrong with my meal. Orange chicken. The last 2 times I have purchased the orange chicken it has been very dry and stringy. The sauce is great and flavorful. I think its time to move on and find a place that doesn't use their old leftover chicken from who knows how many days. I regret it because the sauce is so good. But it negates it when you can't chew it and need a whole glass of water to get it down. read more

My favorite place to order takeout. They're usually pretty busy so I typically phone in my order. The staff's friendly and the food's great.

Love, love, love this place. Staff is always so nice and the food is always excellent. Great lunch specials and portion size. I live in Atlanta and we just don't have good Chinese food. Whenever I order from there they say it will be 15 min. I have never had to wait for my food. It is always good. They gave me the wrong order once and called me before I got home. When I came back to exchange it , they gave me free egg rolls to compensate for my inconvenience, without my having to ask. read more

I used to come here years ago and a friend went here recently and really enjoyed it. Well I didn't. The sweet and sour chicken was cooked hard as a rock with barely any sauce. The bourbon chicken looked like overcooked miniature hockey pucks. The shrimp fried rice was ok but I don't think it was fresh either. The egg rolls and crab ragon were the best part. I been coming here since I first moved into the area. Only item I order is the shrimp fried rice. So tonight I thought I would try something new BIG MISTAKE. I ordered the fried shrimps from the appetizer side & let me just say those things were DISGUSTING. The shrimp were hard & rubbery & OMG the batter was terrible. I felt like I was eating a bag of chips. I couldn't even eat all the shrimps b/c my stomach started to hurt. Never again will I order these shrimps. This is my go to place for work lunch. You get a huge portion, with an egg roll and tea. There has not been a single meal I have not liked there and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I go to this place about once a week with my work fam because it's one of the only options in the Southside food desert where my office is located. Anyway, these folks are awesome when it comes to service! Love you Mae and Tina! I haven't had a bad meal here, but most of the stuff is standard Chinese food, and it is quality. I wouldn't say that there are many over the top, exceptional dishes as a whole, but...and this is a big but! HAHA! They have a dish called Salt and Pepper Jumbo Shrimp that is far and away the best dish I've ever had at a (American) Chinese restaurant. If you like shrimp, you gotta have this! It's incredible. I really can't explain it any other way. I do have one warning though...This place is a hole in the wall so if you're into everything being uber sterile, and you feel the need to bust out the white gloves, and blacklights to feel comfortable, you should probably stay away. I'm not necessarily saying it's dirty and/or unsanitary there or anything, but it's an older spot, and not much for decor or ambiance. Also, for some reason, it smells like play-dough up in there. I'm so disappointed with Liang's. My family has been dining there for over 9 years but my last few order have been not up to the standards I'm use to for Liang's. There prices are higher then ever before which I've never but deterred by there prices being higher then most Chinese food restaurants because the food was worth every penny. But now the quality of food just isn't the same. I ordered a orange chicken lunch special which cost me $10.18 I'm not sure where the chicken was because what I got was little balls of fried dough with bits of some form of probably processed chicken product inside. I gave that two stars because the crab rangoon was delicious as usual and the shrimp fried rice was okay. The quantity was plenty. Please do better Liang's read more

This was some of the better Chinese food that I've had in a long time. All the standard Chinese fare but prepared with some unique flavors. Veggie egg rolls were amazing. Super frssh and crisp. ..with lots of flavor. Dinners are large enough for two people to share making this a reasonablly priced dinner option. read more

Thoroughly disappointed!! Food was awful. I called to make my experience known to the Manager who was unapologetic and uncaring. You would think a neighborhood business would be thoughtful and offer a level of courtesy and professionalism - that is not the case here. I've been coming to Liang's for many years and have always received good service for eat in as well as takeout. The food is usually good 80% of the time and when it's not I don't say anything, but today I ordered a large order for take out which I usually do and it really was not up to par, the beef in the Mongolian beef was tough and it's usually very tender, the chicken for the sweet and sour chicken was chewy and the combo egg foo young was under cooked so I felt I had to call. The lady who I've spoken to over years told me she was "sorry and that they would be careful with my order next time" NEXT TIME! Really? I asked could she replace the food because it's not edible and her reply was "No that's too much food to replace" What a terrible way to treat a good long time good customer, which will now be an ex customer because I will not be returning to this place. read more

I called to order lunch for my boyfriend, who works right down the street from this place. Very polite over the phone, the delivery driver waited until he was able to physically make it to the front desk to get the food, they were quick. However, the food was nothing more than mediocre (chicken lo mein lunch special) and there was no sauce included with the crab rangoons. Liang's has the best food and decent prices, I would have given them 5 stars if they had a buffet. For about $7 a person, you get unlimited tea, soup, main course, rice, almond cookie, and a fortune cookie. They give you so much food, that you have lunch for the next day. I love the House Specials the most and they have the best egg rolls in the South Suburbs. It is located south of Culver's and north of Hooters on 170th and Torrence in Lansing. read more
