We are the Management Company and the Home warranty insurance Corporate customer, not Liberty Appliance direct customer. Liberty Appliance Repair does not care if our appliances are serviced or not because they will continue getting the customers from the Home Warranty company anyway, (not based on quality service merit/not a good system) They took more than a week to reach out to us and said no tech servicing our area and wanted to try schedule for another week and she said if we don't like it we can call another company! She repeated twice. She's already pushed us away and not interested in the work order by the Warranty Company by saying so, yes? Liberty can't handle the job . On Friday night, 9/15, my son didn't look at the settings on my 2021 Speed Queen washer and overloaded it not just for the settings but in general. The washer flooded and screwed up the water level detection sensor, according to the lighting & sound signals. Attempts over the weekend to reset it failed. Monday, I got a service call in for repair for Tuesday, 9/19, with "American Appliance Repair" out of Placentia. I was told it would be between 4-6 PM. 5 PM rolled around and I'd yet to hear anything. I called and was told in about 40 minutes. The repairman showed up and I explained what happen and what the problem was listed as in the troubleshooting guide per the lighting and beep codes. He played with the knobs and buttons for a bit. I went into another room to give him his space to work. I came back a few minutes later and saw him scrolling through a Sears site on his iPad that listed parts. (Why Sears when it's Speed Queen?). Further, I neither saw or heard a removal of panels to look inside to see what the issue may be. A bit later he came out and quoted $625+ repair job, then, instead, tried sell me a new washer for a couple hundred more, denigrating Speed Queens (which are recognized as one of the best). The washer he wanted to sell was a front loader, something I'd never do again, their being problems with load balancing and what not. He didn't understand my resistance to front loaders. I told him to do the repair job instead. He wasn't happy. He told me it would be a few days for the parts to come in and that I'd be called. I paid the $85 service call and he departed. I had a bad vibe and feeling with this guy. After three days, and no call from "American Appliance Repair," I called CTS (Chapman & Bradford, Placentia), the vendor that I bought the washer from, and asked for who they recommended for Speed Queen repairs. They told me "Liberty Appliance Repair & Service" out of Fullerton. I put in a service call and the repairman, Carlos Lopez, came that afternoon, 9/26. I explained what happened. He messed with the knobs & buttons, nothing working, then took off the siding to look at the innards. Next he got on the phone with Speed Queen tech support. The support man walked Mr. Lopez through various things (checking voltage at certain points, scrub off the connectors, etc.). Mr. Lopez, in concert with Speed Queen tech support, was able to get things working for the short term, but still needing to order Speed Queen parts to be replaced upon arrival (sensor & harness) for the long term. On 10/12, Mr. Lopez returned and replaced the parts, maybe taking all of a 1/2 hour. Total cost between the two service calls and parts? Nothing!!! Mr. Lopez recognized that the washer was still under a 3 year warranty so Speed Queen footed the bill. (I still blame the inattentiveness of my son and not the manufacturer.) Not sure how this company has a rating of of 4 stars! One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I have a refrigerator under warranty and was put in contact with Liberty by the a company called Warrantech. Both Libery and Warrantech pointed fingers at each other, when I asked why my original Friday appointment has suddenly been changed to the following Wednesday. A technician showed up for the rescheduled appointed and attempted to fix the refrigerator. He said it could take up to 12 hours for the refrigerator to properly work again and then he would call or text the next day to see if it was working. I never got a call or text. I had to call the next day to let him know it was not. He said he needed to order a different part and that could take up to a week to come in. Once the part was in, I had to wait another week for technician to return and attempt to repair After being without a proper working refrigerator for nearly 3 weeks, I called to express my disappointment in the way this company runs business. I tried to explain to the woman on the phone the importance of a refrigerator in modern society and that certain medications or breast milk needs to be kept at a cold climate. She said I should have mentioned this to her when I first tried to schedule an appointment. Insinuating that maybe the refrigerator could have been fixed sooner, if only I had told her that I had a need for it. The phone operator had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to cancel my appointment, which was scheduled for 2 days later because I was so unhappy with their service. Bottom line, if I had the choice, I would never use Liberty to repair any of my appliances. I felt "stuck" with them because the company that I purchased my extended warranty from contracts with Liberty. Never again. read more

We had a one year old washer under warranty that began giving us error codes. Called Liberty and they were booked three weeks in advance. They came out at the scheduled time and replaced the locking mechanism on the lid. The next day on the first load of wash after the repair, we got the same error code in the middle of the wash cycle, the lid won't lock and the washer won't run. When we called them they said they can't come out for another two weeks. Unbelievable. Not only did they not fix it, we are stuck with a washer with soaked items and not way to spin dry them. It probably would have been better if the technician spent more than 15 minutes diagnosing and fixing the washer, and actually took the time to make sure the job was done right. Bottom line: Other than the lady on the phone, extremely poor customer service. If you have a Speed Queen washer, use anybody else from their list of service providers on the website. That is what we will be doing. read more

Ordered a repair of our brand new dryer through Electrolux, who gave us a 5-hour window (between 12 and 5pm) today, along with a written (email) confirmation. Therefore, my wife took the day off work to be home. By 4:45pm, however, the Liberty tech still hadn't shown up, so she called. At that time, the phone rep said that they weren't going to be able to make it after all and that they had tried to reach us earlier. There was no record of a call cancelling, however. What's more, she was completely unapologetic and unsympathetic when we explained that we had been without a dryer for several days and needed someone out as soon as possible. She merely offered to reschedule. Later, my wife did find a voicemail from Liberty left for her at 10am today but it was to confirm an appointment for tomorrow! That explains why they never showed up! Liberty had the wrong day but didn't even admit its mistake. Instead, the tech "offered" to have someone come out tomorrow - the day they had already mistakenly scheduled the appointment for. read more

HONEST, HELPFUL, our new GO TO guys for all repairs! Mario was so helpful and the only one to take the time to diagnose the problem. After calling on 2 other companies and being given the run around, he was the only honest one with us about what was going on with our dishwasher. I ended up calling our home warranty company, who sent us Mario from Liberty. He came out the very next day and DID NOT charge us for the visit since we had already been charged twice and given the run around. He then took the time to actually look things over (again - something I expected the 2 other guys to do) to find it was a simple, easy and FREE fix. The pipes below our sink had to be re-adjusted and it would drain properly. Sure enough, he was right! after 2 months of going with no dishwasher (first world problem, i know, but i have four kids people) I was so happy I could cry! he even called us a few hours later to make sure it was draining properly. Again, all of this amazing service, and without charging us a dime. I cannot recommend these guys enough! read more

Carlos repaired my Fridge today. He was so courteous and professional. Our 1 year old Fridgedaire's ice maker stopped making ice consistently. In less than an hour, he diagnosed the problem, swapped the ice maker, and changed the level so that we wouldn't have another problem in the future. Our pernickety dog even liked him. Last week we had a different service out, and they refused to acknowledge the problem. So after that failed service call last week, we contacted Fridgedaire directly and signed up for their warranty program which cost about half of what the other big retailer quoted. At any rate, Fridgedaire, Liberty and Carlos all get 5 stars! read more

I'm not impressed. I scheduled a service appointment with this company and nobody showed up. I called and was told they would see if they could get someone out same day but no call back. I called a third time and talked to Carlos who felt bad about the mix up but I know he can't do anything to help if the office can't schedule properly. I save everything so I have the VM that confirms the scheduled time and day and recorded the cost of the service quoted. I was all setup for service a week later. So waited with a broken dryer for a week and no one came to help on the day I took time off work to be home. Somehow they didn't get me on the schedule is what I was told. Will for sure absolutely NOT use this company in the future. Giving my business to another company that is happy to come out with next day service. Update 10/10 - They did call back to reschedule and offer a discount on the service call. Which is appreciated. But too late, I found a service that would come next day. read more

Really, really happy with the service. Our Electrolux refrigerator ice maker goes out every six months without fail and an extended warranty is an absolute necessity. We've had the refrigerator for only 5 years old and the ice maker went out the first year. But enough about that. Needlessly to say we know all about appliance repairs companies because we've gone through a lot of them and Liberty is as good as it gets. The repairman was late for his appointment but he called before and asked if it was OK. He was only 20 minutes late but it was understandable because it was pouring rain and the traffic was probably a nightmare. Carlos was very polite and respectfully...very professional and explained the problem. He fixed the problem within an hour and left the repair absolutely neat and clean. The thing was that I was most impressed with was that he had the part in the truck. No waiting or special order from Electrolux for weeks at a time like the other companies did. We had one company that took over a month and we had to complain with the manager. The part arrived a week earlier but he never called until we called him. All in all, we used Liberty twice and had a positive experience both times. We recommend them to all our family and friends. Good luck ever getting this company to answer there phone. All calls go to voice mail and when you email them they don't respond at all. I don't know the secret on how to get a hold of this company. It seems like if you are in business you should answer your phones during regular business hours. Apparently, they don't need anymore customers so find some other place if you would like a return phone call. I tried for 3 days all throughout the day to get a hold of a human. I emailed them 2 times and no response. Sad, good company horrible -the worst- customer service. Very disappointed with this company. Not only did they not honor my appointment they had confirmed with me, but they didn't even have the decency to let me know they had canceled my appointment. I called and left several voicemails, during their operational hours, and no one thought I was important enough to make contact with me. They never considered, whether I had to take time off my job or pick my children up from school. The way Liberty's staff handled me as a customer was very unprofessional, tacky and inconsiderate. This company is very unprofessional. They will hound you with incessant calling until you schedule an appointment with them. They called me daily for two months. Every time they called, I told them I would be busy for the next few weeks and would contact them once I know my availability, but this didn't stop Marisol from calling me everyday and leaving me a message about scheduling an appointment. The time came when I was able to schedule an appointment so I called Marisol. She told me that there may be an issue with the insurance so she would have to call me back. She calls me back, says there is no problem with the insurance, and we schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment (today) comes around and no one from Liberty Appliance shows. I call in and talk to Marisol. She says I should have expected no one would come because of the insurance issue. I reminded her that she said she resolved the insurance issue. She then says that another issue came up and that she called the landlord to tell her, but not me. She was full excuses that didn't add up. She just didn't do her job, plain and simple. Marisol never talked to the landlord or me. She is very unprofessional. It is ironic how she will call me daily to schedule an appointment, but not when my appointment has been cancelled by a mistake she made. Carlos came out because there is a horrible high pitch sound coming from my fridge. Unfortunately he was not able to hear it and suggested i get a 2nd opinion. I have no problem with that, however while trying to figure out where the sound was coming from he removed my ice maker. When he put it back in, he missed the factory hole, thus putting the screw into the wall of the freezer. I discover this when the 2nd guy come out and couldn't figure out why the ice maker was hanging crooked in the freezer. Fortunately, the hole did not pierce the wall of the freezer. I would give zero stars if possible. I was referred to Liberty by Frigidaire, when I was having trouble with my dryer. I called and talked to someone who was barely polite. I asked for a quote on what it would cost if the motor was broken (their "come check it out" fee is twice that of some of the other authorized dealers). She said someeone would call me back - they never did. I called again the next day and left another message, and then again that afternoon - never heard back. It's been a week since then - I had a different company come out (they were quick, responsive, affordable and professional) - and have still yet never heard back. Most of my appliances are Frigidaire (another bad story), and therefore need lots of repairs, and I will never call this place again. read more

Requested Liberty Appliance Repair, for my Frigidaire freezer warranty service, due to their good reviews. Unfortunately, they said the no longer service the South Bay area, too far from Fullerton. Surprised me, since other reviews were from Pasadena, Rancho Palos Verdes, etc. and other "too far" locations. Suggest you verify any manufacturer-scheduled warranty service appointment, with them. That is how I found out my scheduled service wasn't going to happen, due to their tech being on vacation. I told them I could wait for his return, but later received a voice message that said they will no longer service this area, "as of now." Office staff difficult to contact; they do return calls, but sometimes it takes some time. Overall, neutral rating, since I was unable to obtain any actual service. I wonder if they would have even bothered to let me know that they weren't going to be doing my original service, if I hadn't called?
