Apparently, depending on what cream cheese you get, the prices can vary - Plain bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese is $4, while the "Flagel" with Jalapeño Cream Cheese is $5. For myself, settled on a Jalapeño Bagel with Bacon Scallion Cream Cheese ($4.45) as well as an Iced Coffee ($1). While the price on the coffee is certainly a bargain, it's pretty similar to what you get from an outside cart vendor (not strong). As for the bagel, great flavor in the cream cheese, while the bread lacked even distribution of jalapeño. This spot also offers packaged pastries and sandwich options as well. I was actually excited when this place opened up bc I'm very familiar with Liberty Bagels Midtown (solid bagel place, nice ppl who know your name, consistently good food) and I thought it would be the same owner/service. Forget about it, definitely NOT the same. I gave these ppl several opportunities to make things right after all the hiccups - constantly misspelling my name (if you can't spell it, even after I spell it out for you, why even ask?), burnt instead of toasted or barely any cc, or getting a wrong sandwich, never ever getting a plastic bag while I see others getting plastic bags for their orders - but it has not worked out. I never gave anyone any attitude, I'd always calmly order my food, I never took things personal. However, now I'm done with this place bc they're no good to me. And just my luck, I'd usually get the same lousy, chunky, latinx girl, long black hair and glasses, who'd somehow manage to screw up my name (on purpose?) or my order (on purpose?). Her BS today broke the camel's back, not going back, not gonna continue paying for their BS. I clearly told her, "two everything bagels, lightly toasted plain cc," plain and simple, but she charges me for one order, had to tell her, "no, 2x." When I get to our Jackson Height office, I notice on the ticket " SCOOPED, Toasted, LIGHT SPREAD." Say whattt??!??!!!??? I open my bagel, my coworker opens his, and sure enough, they were both scooped with light cc. For the record, this is not the cook's fault, this is the cashier's fault, that guy just follows orders. I'm actually surprised by the good reviews of this place, which leaves me feeling as if I've been constantly singled out on purpose to be given terrible customer service, just maybe. What else could it be???? If the owner does read this review, KINDLY DO STH ABOUT THIS! Train your staff better, especially your cashiers. Customer service is what creates loyalty and buzz and makes a business successful. And if you, lousy cashier, do ever read this, how would you feel if I kept doing what you've done to me? Screwing up your name (my name's so easy to spell btw), screwing up your orders, hun you wouldn't wanna be helped by me, let alone tip, you'd stop going. The bagels are pretty big and when I went last week, they were offering 99 cent iced coffee. The rainbow bagel is sweeter in comparison to OG rainbow bagel I had in Brooklyn, but still great. I was looking for a new breakfast place in the area and couldn't believe I slept on this place! I guess it was a little easy to miss amongst the many different places to enter in 82nd street. We ordered the rainbow bagel with maple bacon cream cheese - very sweet but it paired very well with the bacon and the bagel! We also tried their steakwich sandwich and were very satisfied with it! There's also flavored ice coffee if you want, I found it good too. The place is also quite spacious with a decent amount of seating. The menu is also spread along the length of the restaurant so you might have to walk up and down from the register to see all of the options. This is first time and might be the last. My husband went to pick up a toasted sesame bagel with lox only for me. He had a conversation with Jenny who was placing the order about NO cream cheese and fresh lox only. Yet came home to find out half the bagel was spread with cream cheese. I don't eat cream cheese at all and half the bagel went to waste. They charged us lox only price but filled it with half cream cheese. I feel that this was not very honest. The mistake occurred with the worker preparing the food, either not paying attention or not reading the order correctly. That can be dangerous if there was any kind of allergies involved. Pretty good! This is a popular bagel spot in Elmhurst that has decently affordable bagels. There's a wide selection of bagel, bagel sandwiches, and spreads. The New Yorker was great but lacking some sauce or seasoning. And the Lox was enjoyable but had too much cream cheese for my taste. The Jalapeño and Rainbow bagels didn't have much flavor, so I'd recommend a plain bagel instead to save some coins. It's like they dumped a bucketload of salt in there. This is becoming more and more commonplace in New York sandwich and bagel places. They're using too much salt. I unfortunately forgot to take any photos, but the bagels lived up to my expectations and the egg was super fluffy. We had also ordered a latte and cappuccino, both with non-dairy milk. The drinks were decent--my friend's cappuccino wasn't exactly a capp though so that was a tad sad but overall it wasn't bad.
