What a great find! Liberty shares a common wall and restrooms with a Mexican joint next door. Diner style interior with a mix of booths, tables, and stools facing out the front window. The big win here is the quality of burger produced by the kitchen. I ordered the Nooner burger and string fries. Delicious. The Nooner has some hashbrown, ham, cheese, bacon, a thick beef patty, and a very runny fried egg. The moment you go anywhere near the burger that egg bursts coating everything in delicious yolk. Choose a less well done patty and you are rewarded with moist high quality beef. The combination is inspired and easily puts you into a food coma, but not before you wonder how long it has been since you had a burger this good. Very enjoyable burger place in Jackson. Comes highly recommended by all. We went in early and it was crowded but we got seated at bar stools by the window. Had a nice view of the rays of the setting sun outside the window. Started off with a beer. It was a delicious brown ale made by a local brewer. It was a Mighty Bison Brown Ale. Apparently they rotate their selections each week. Wife and I got the Traitor which was a chicken sandwich on toast with bacon avocado and aioli. For me a side of skinny fries which were good if a bit cold. Daughter got a regular burger which she also enjoyed. Food came out quickly and service was good. One negative was the wines kinda sucked, Chardonnay was nothing to write home about. If you need a quick tasty satisfying dinner after a long day on the slopes this is where you go...definite recommend and repeat. read more

If you haven't had a Bison burger. This is a good spot to have your very first taste of its majesty. The down side to this restaurant is that the Burgers don't come with fries you have to order them separately. Fries are also thin fries. Place is clean and the service was great. Food was mediocre. Location is great and if you are sitting outside you will have a nice view. But service!!! Oh God! Our server, girl in her 20's (brown hair, some foreign accent, no name tag) was in such a rush that she lost patience after 20 seconds of me ordering food. Never in my life I felt this rushed. She later dropped drinks on the table and then straws with her back already turned, talking to people sitting next to us. Ok, she was in a rush. This place is absolutely delicious! I ordered the Chillerno Burger and was very impressed with the delicious flavors. The fries are also very crunchy and yummy. Kind of resemble McDonald's fries but smaller and less salty. I am a huge fan! My boyfriend ordered the Wild West Burger and he really loved it, too. As a desert, we had the Mudslide adult shake and it was very tasty. Overall, the experience here was great. Service was good. I first had the Kale Mary 6 years ago while visiting the Tetons. While visiting Yellowstone this year we made sure to come through Jackson specifically for Liberty burger. Arrived in town to attend the Jackson Hole Wednesday night rodeo. Needed a bite to eat, and the town looked full of tourists ... people just like us. Didn't have time to stroll around, and the streets were full ... where to get a tip on a good burger place? Why Yelp of course, which listed LIberty Burger at the top of the review list. Drove by, and overflowing line of people waiting to get into Liberty as well as the joint next door. But oh, the ... join the wait list option on Yelp to the rescue. Clicked it, and we had ten minutes to show up and check in. Mission Accomplished with several minutes to spare. In no time at all we were called over, and shown to our seats. Yet again, a "large" party of seven (even though we're all one family???) thus two tables. We were so close to each other, that was no problem to overcome. Server (waitress?) arrived and took our drink orders -- soda, water, tea... and again. Then back to explain the menu, (we took a photo of a QR and the menu popped up) -- we couldn't help but order the loaded French fries, the loaded (3) jalapeños, and the onion rings (wait until you see how huge those rings are). Burgers all around for adults -- beef, turkey, chili or not, sourdough or cracked wheat buns. The kids had grilled cheese, fries, fruit -- which all that was ho-hum. The adults orders were fabulous, the appetizers dazzling. How in the world do they cut those potatoes into such oddly shaped wide angled twirls? Loaded with sour cream, pick de gallo, seasonings. Awesome. The onions rings are huge, fresh, nothing frozen, delicious. The breading greatly resembled Zatarain's Wonderful breading mix (for frying fish and stuff). The Mudslide adult milkshake was great, albeit pricey at $16, but it was downhill from there. The Sturdy salad is ironically named. $12 for a smallish salad with barely any protein is a rip-off. It was literally half bread. We asked for our Liberty burger to be prepared medium-rare but it was medium-well. It was tiny too. $11 for an ala carte basic quarter pound patty. After a long day on the trail, this place was PERFECT. I'm vegan and my girlfriend isn't, but they had options for both of us! She really enjoyed her meat burger and I really enjoyed the vegan patty. We both got versions of the Liberty Burger and were extremely delighted. The fries reminded me of Steak and Shake French fries (not sure if that's just an east coast place) but they were very skinny and kind of hard and hollow-ish...not my personal favorite but that didn't stop me. This is just a personal preference anyway. But my girlfriend got sweet potato fries which she LOVED; these were thicker cuts and very yummy. The service was great, our server was very nice and friendly. We were worried about a wait time since there seemed to be a grouping at the day, but we ended up being able to walk right in and be seated straight away for 2 at prime dinner time on a Thursday night! Unfortunately we didn't get images because we were so ravenous, but definitely a place I'd love to revisit next time I'm back! read more

This is a weird place with no seating and meh food. When we first got there, the hostess was siting behind the counter talking to her friends(?) (that don't work there) and didn't even notice us. Then she sat my husband and I at a bar facing the window, when there were plenty of open 2 person tables. We wanted to be able to see each other, so we moved ourselves. We both ordered the crunchy salad, which was good, but not great. I know, I know, you're supposed to get the flagship of the thing at the restraint, but we were both in the mood for vegetables and something light, so we went with the salad. It was good and I'd recommend it, but they charge an extra $4 if you want to put meat on the salad! The also brought us the wrong dressing from what we ordered, but were nice about fixing it.
