Our ac unit on a park model went out during the recent heat wave. Called two companies who had good reviews and they both provided bids - really high bids. A neighbor mentioned Liberty so I got a third bid and boy am I happy I did. They quoted substantially lower pricing for similar equipment. They did an onsite inspection prior to quoting so nothing was missed. They showed up on time for the install. Did great work. The crew was very professional and got it all done in about 2.5 hours. High speed motor went out after 2 years. Our neighbor came over, said THEIR high speed motor from Liberty went out after 2 weeks! Same unit. Look elsewhere! We're still under warranty but still have to pay for service ($150) just to come out. I'll follow up with the actual price at the end of the day. I wish we did more research before hiring them Just found out we'll have to pay another $125 an hour. Already $275. And they're not even here yet. Came home from a trip and realized the A/C was not working. We could not get the A/C to drop below 87 degreees. Waited until 4:00 pm and finally put a call into Liberty. Amber got us an appointment the next morning. At 11:00 a.m. the next morning Timmy arrived and diagnosed that our compressor was going out. After all our A/C unit was over 20 years old. As the temperature outside was 108 and inside the house was 97 we asked how quickly we could get a new A/C. Timmy put the requirements together and sent it to the office. By 12:30 pm we had our quote and by 3:00 pm the installers were at our house installing our new A/C unit. By 5:00pm that night we were enjoying cool air again. We are so thankful for the quick service and professionalism we received from everyone at Liberty. They are the best. We would use them again if we need to but hope this new unit lasts another 20 years. read more

Fantastic service as always. After last nights thunderstorm the ac started blowing warm air, I shut it down, as I was concerned about possible icing on the coil and let the fan run and called Liberty first thing in the morning. I have used them previously and needed to use them again approx 1 yr later! Not sure why the fix only lasted 1 year! However I called them Monday after hours and got a call back that evening saying to call the office in the morning which I did. Tuesday morning I made an appt. The lady even told me that Thursday was the soonest they could get there. I gave the hours of the business. With 2 hours left in the work day I called to confirm if they were coming and the first person acted like I didn't have an appt. She put me on hold for a long time, might have hung up. I called back another lady said she never told me appt on Thurs she said they would "try" for Thursday but they can come on Monday. Terrible customer service rude people! They did a poor job of installing a new HVAC system and re-used worn out parts. When the system did an inadequate job of cooling in the summer heat we let them know. One of the owners immediately replied with quite a harsh response. It was shocking. Perhaps he was having a bad day but shouldn't have taken it out on the customer. When pressed, he said he was one of the owners (has same last name as the person who sold us the system) and that it was our fault somehow. They gave a great quote but now we wish we had gone with a more reliable and reputable company. I would certainly not recommend Liberty as their service after the sale is atrocious. read more

Last spring I got a quote from Liberty on the advice of my friend, Randy, who raved about the work they did for him...I had hoped my unit would last one more summer, but alas, in August it quit and I was in a pinch. I called Liberty on Monday, and they told me that they could come on Friday. Chris, Justin, Christian and Cliff came to my park model home where they proceeded to remove the old unit in the back (which had been very unwisely had a deck built over it by a previous owner), reroute and replace all the ductwork, installed a new cold air return grate and thermostat and install the new A/C on the side of my house. They did all of this and had the new machine in operation in the space of 2 hours and 15 minutes. They cleaned up every trace of their work, and left me incredibly satisfied! We had a package heat pump installed, replacing an older split system. They removed the outside unit, the inside unit, and the outdated ducting. After a week, in Phoenix Az (105+°), of msg after msg warranty company refused my claim and Total Air backed out of my job. I am very thankful a friend referred me to Liberty Cooling. WOW!!! World-class products and service at a very fair price. I got a new 2.5-ton straight air conditioner with 8 KW Heat Strips (which is exactly what I wanted) for my small park model mobile home. They replaced all my flex ducts, gave me a new thermostat, a new pad for the unit, new electrical fuses, and hauled off all the debris from the job, including my old air conditioner. My new unit came with a 10-year parts and compressor warranty and a two-year labor warranty. I couldn't be happier. I have used Liberty for six years including annual inspections every May. We just had one done on 08 May and all was declared fine. I will note their service fee has gone from $75 to $125 over the past year. But, on Sunday 28 May our external system fan was not turning and the temperature began to rise. Now, if you have a cooling or heating emergency outside Liberty's normal business hours, forget having them respond before 'the next business day.' They have no 24/7 service, and no alliances with anyone to cover their customers in a crisis. You are on your own. I was able to locate a capable a/c tech with Arizona Valley on that holiday weekend Sunday morning and he was on site within an hour, diagnosed the problem immediately (a blown capacitor), and had me back up and running within 30 minutes. Cost was $340 for the call and parts. In speaking with the Liberty office manager on 30 May I was told that customers do not dictate their business hours. When I commented that their business phone goes to a virtual calling center and that center is not empowered to do anything except take messages, she was unapologetic. I am taking my business to Arizona Valley since Liberty does not care that I was left hanging. read more

Two misdiagnosed service calls and I had to call a different company. The second company correctly diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. If the breaker is tripped and a new one installed also trips...find the cause of the surge. I sent an email to Liberty's Service Manager regarding the two calls, which I paid for, expecting a response. Three days later and no reply. Update: I received a call from their service manager and he apologized for taking so long to get back to me. There was a clerical error and I should not have been charged for the second call and the charge was refunded. The first call was the first indication that there was a problem but it wasn't bad enough to determine exactly what it was. Being from a service background I understand this concept. It just so happened that when the second company was called it had progressed to an easy to find diagnosis. I have changed my rating to reflect the final findings. read more

We called last week when our unit went out - the girl said Friday. Friday no one showed They promised a repair person first thing Monday. No one showed. We called twice Monday and were told someone would be here Monday. No one showed or called back. We called this morning and were told we needed to wait two more days. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me four times and you get a bad Yelp review where I tell the world what happened. Call this company if you don't mind getting jacked around - but I will give them this much - they're damn good at making excuses. You need a lesson in Customer Service and how to schedule appointments without overcommitting. read more

I don't want this to sound like an advertisement for this company, but with all of the problems I've had with service companies in the past, Liberty is a company that I can give a 5 star rating to without reservation. I had to have my evaporative cooler system replaced and got multiple quotes and Liberty came in with the best one and I was impressed with Robert's suggestions while inspecting the unit for the quote. He suggested repair options and ways to extend the use of the unit we had. I was determined to replace it though. When Robert was on the roof he noticed (and he was the only one that did) that our air-conditioner had walked away from the ductwork about an inch or so and he pointed that out to me but I wanted to concentrate on the cooler replacement and told him that I'd do something before we used it again. They came out on the appointed time with 4 people, installed the cooler, wired it up and they were done within an hour. Robert asked if I wanted to go up and inspect their work before paying the bill. While I was doing that they were loading up in preparation for leaving. To my amazement they had moved the air-conditioner back into place and resealed the ductwork. This was at no charge and wasn't even mentioned until I came down from the roof to do the paperwork and I mentioned my surprise. Robert replied that it needed to be done and since they were on the roof, it was easy enough to just take care of the problem then and there. I think you can imagine who I will be calling in the future for anything to do with heating and cooling. i called these people twice in three days. they did absolutely nothing to fix my one year old ac unit!!! the first person entered the house and looked at the thermostate and said everything is fine. when i pitched a fit, another person came out and they insisted someone be at t he property. i'm a doctor working ten hour days so i had the office mgr. come. the hvac person told her a hose had come loose. it worked for half a day! another company who knows wtf they are doing nailed it on the phone!! i will not pay for their so called services and in fact i will bill them for my hassles with calling and setting up and taking down my own portable ac unit twice! don't even bother. small claims court and bbb it is!! read more

About six months ago we were in need of a new HVAC system and got several bids, one of them from Liberty. Due to various circumstances, we were not able to move forward, knowing the quotes were good for 30 or 60 days. (At the time, we were going to go with Liberty.) Recently, we were in a position to move forward, and when we went back to Liberty for an updated quote, it was at least $1K higher than just six months prior! Long story short, we ended up using Liberty anyway. The guys in the field were nice, however they left a lot of the installation trash laying around and smudged fingerprints everywhere. Then there was the lady in the office who schedules and 'demands' payment. Every time we talked to her, she was rude and condescending. We have referred friends to Liberty, and they have had the same experience. (I won't mention her name in this review.) We had to put down a little over half of the cost prior to install, which we understood. Then coronavirus happened and our small business suffered, limiting our income. When the system was installed, we asked if we could delay final payment for a couple of weeks. The response from the same lady was, we need payment now or I will call the guys and have them rip out the system. I couldn't believe what I heard, especially from a small business themselves! She wouldn't even let me mail a check. Someone had to pick it up that day. We will not do business with Liberty again, nor will we recommend them to any of our friends. read more

The first company who are located in Mesa, AZ, we called, wanted to sell and install us a unit for the above stated price. They wanted to sell us a unit larger than was necessary. The company I work for needed all three evaporative coolers replaced about four months ago. We searched around for a company that offered replacement parts for these particular coolers but they were so old that new parts were not an option. So we had to start getting quotes for brand new coolers. Long story short, Liberty Cooling and Heating beat out all other prices that were offered and we ultimately opted for their services. Now jump ahead to the day of delivery and installation. They showed up at about 6:30 in the morning and were completely finished around 9am. They removed the old coolers and installed the new ones in record time. This was most likely because it wasn't just a 2 or 3 man crew. I would estimate there were at least 10 to 12 workers present which lead to a quick and timely install. The coolers and still working great although its finally cooling down and we won't need to use them again until next summer. If you have any heating or cooling problems I would definitely recommend this company. read more
