    DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CREDIT MESSED UP. I canceled my insurance with them JULY 09, 2023. I have all the emails that told me they would and have cancelled it. YET, they sent me to collections. Every two months I have to email them (i won't call because i want a paper trail), and they LIE and say they take care of it. DO NOT TRUST THEM. 8 months later and i still have collections after me. Who do i need to talk to so i am able to get this taken care of?? I will tell EVERYONE not to use them unless they want this stress every couple months AND their credit score to go down.

    Since 0 stars is not an option, i am forced to leave a 1star review. Here is my experience with this god awful company. We were rear ended and almost killed at a redlight. We made a claim and everything was good so we thought. We did each step and an agent contacted us immediately. This was good piece of mind at first. Our agent said the other party was not responding and that there was little that she could do to obtain the at fault drivers info. She said she will order a police report via mail. Since i didnt know any better i took that as a good answer and left it at that. A week went by and i tried texting our agent and no response. I thought okay she is busy cool. Another week goes by and no response. I was upset because i felt neglected. A 3rd week went by with zero word from any of the people claiming that they represent me. Upon playing the robot 500 on the phone the only person in the sphere of influence in the liberty mutual company that actually picks up his phone is a helpful guy named Anthony. Unfortunately he deals with the medical side of things and not anything to do with the accident. I told him that my agent was unresponsive so he gave me the number to my agents manager. Called the number and played robot500 and boom Anthony picked up the phone. I was pissed, Anthony apologized and further told me that my claim was closed and that i should refer to the liberty mutual app next time. So my claim was closed without anyone telling me anything. Thats why my agent was not responding over text, they closed my claim and did not notify me whatsoever. It gets better, in order for my car to get fixed i had to hunt down the at fault parties insurance (doing the job that was supposed to be done by my agent) The process to that is going into downtown Honolulu and paying 4 dollars and some change for a parking meter and getting the accident report printed out. So i did, upon arrival to the station the clerk said that there were no orders placed by any agents to actually get the accident report. I was pissed, here i am doing what was supposed to be done by a company that i pay money to annually. At this point, 1 month after the accident i realized that I was deceived by the agent representing me, there was zero follow up, there was zero communication. So i called the at fault insurance company, i could not believe it, A HUMAN BEING PICKED UP THE PHONE. On top of this mess, the agent told me off the rip, that the at fault party was unresponsive. I asked the at fault agent if anyone ha tried to make contact with her and she said no. I was furious, Liberty Mutual treated me like another number, told me that the at fault party was not responding, (no one from liberty mutual tried to make contact) The funny part about this is im going to switch my 4 vehicles and House over to the agency of the woman who hit me because their company was 10x more helpful in regards to getting my vehicle taken care of and helping me hash this stressful situation with open, clear, and concise communication. I dont like being treated like a number. I dont like the disgusting lack of integrity in this company because there are literally 2 people to talk to. "everyone is teleworking from home due to covid" & getting over paid to do it...eat a D*i*c*k* Liberty Mutual. Im happy to leave this review, you deserve it.

    Best save for my family vacation. I'm so moved how nice people can still be in today's chaotic…read moreworld. We were leaving the country and somehow we lost our international drivers permit. We had a 1 hour time to get it done before take off. The office staff were closing at 14:00 with a whole week of hard work. I called them and they were nice enough to help me get the application rolling and everything set up before I arrive. It was the best service ever. Nina welcomed and waited for me with smiles on her face. I feel so lucky and my family gets to enjoy the vacation we planned a year ahead.

I tried updating my insurance policy but never got a response back. I waited 2 weeks and sent 4 messages including to their corporate office which told me the Hawaii branch manager would contact me in 48 hours- a week ago. However, this is not an isolated incident. I never received my proof of insurance (and of course their app wasn't working, it's usually under "maintenance"). In August 2025, at this point I had already dealt with issues of them not being able to find my account because I had a membership for roadside assistance in a different state a long time ago. This was of course a someone's fault who "no longer works here". After, I had to find the solution by calling a branch in a different state, they disassociated my old account. Then the Hawaii branch was able to locate my account. Normally, a simple request of "Proof of Insurance", would not be an issue. But behold, in the Hawaii branch it is! I was told they would mail it to me- they didn't. I contacted their support via email as at this point I have no paper trail proving their negligence. Of course, the manager would be in contact with me in 48 hours... can you guess what didn't happen? So I message their general support again, no response. I message the sales guy, no response. At this point you start to ask, does this branch actually have employees, or are they that awful at regular customer support and lack competent management? Eventually, after several calling attempts (clearly they don't want to leave a paper trail of their lack of work.). They finally send me my proof of insurance. Since then, I tried to avoid contacting them as it wasn't worth the headache of trying to get people to do their job. However, I unfortunately needed to update my auto insurance to reflect changes of my car, leading to my statement in the first paragraph. I am grateful I didn't need to make a claim. Imagine, you get in an accident or your property has damage, then your insurance company (that you pay thousands a year to) decides they don't feel like working. Stolen vehicle? You gotta hunt down the branch manager while the cops look for your car. To be fair, I can't speak for every department. People have positive reviews for vacations, roadside assistance, and others. But, the only successful communication I had was with their cancellation department. My suggestion is to promote her to branch manager. At least she knows how basic customer service works, plus she actually responded back and provided a solution to prevent auto renewal. I can't tell you if anyone else knows how to do that since I never heard back from them (specifically management). Also, they spammed me with life insurance scam letters like 4-5 a week. That could be at a corporate level issue but nonetheless. I went with USAA because I went to their customer support and heard back within 30 seconds- might be 30 days+ with this AAA branch.
