This was my first visit to Lido, and I'm here to say it will not be my last. I've not tasted much from their menu, however I already know the best thing Lido serves is the passion fruit sangria. It was so refreshing, fruity, sweet, and flavorful. Outdoor seating is available and the staff makes sure to clean between customers, also all seating is spaced 6 feet apart & completely covered. The service staff was polite, attentive, & quick. My favorite food item was the polenta fries, everything else was decent. I came in to celebrate my co-worker's birthday for brunch. This spot is pretty great. From the outside it looks like a small spot but in the inside it is "medium" sized. Lol. It was so packed on Sunday mid-morning. The music playing was "elevator music," which is okay, I guess. We had really enjoyed ourselves so much that we lost track of time and ended up staying there an extra 2 hours. The waiter, Alex, was fantastic. He was attentive, patient and informative. My boyfriend and I finally made it here for brunch and were super jazzed to try the Harlem mainstay. I had the poached eggs over roasted potatoes, and he the buttermilk biscuit with scrambled eggs. The food was absolutely delicious and we couldn't even finish it all! It also came out super fast. Ambience is classy and I love the sage green color scheme. Definitely will be back for dinner sometime! 4.5 stars. Edit 2/2018: Returned for dinner during Restaurant Week in winter 2018 and had a great meal. The Brussels sprouts were tasty, and the polenta fries were fantastic. Arugula salad with pear was very nice. I did think the pumpkin ravioli was a bit watery, so that was disappointing. Im making a point of going to more spots in Harlem these days. There is a great selection of restaurants. I came to Lido for brunch with my family. I made a reservation and we were promptly seated inside. Food: There were a few omelet dishes, paninis and pasta dishes. I ordered a spicy pork sausage omelet, it was great. We also ordered a few sides: meatballs, home fries and bacon - all great! The only unfortunate part of the service was that our 4 main dishes came out super quick, but no sides. After a couple of minutes we asked about the sides and it seems like they weren't put in properly. we ended up waiting 20+ min for the sides, at that point we ate our mains because they were getting cold. I saw other tables get the same sides while we were waiting so it was clear they didn't try to expedite ours ahead of the other orders. This was unfortunate as the food and servers were great. The staff did comp the sides which was a nice gesture, but it was disappointing nonetheless . I'm hoping this was a fluke and def. willing to give this place another try, maybe for dinner next time! read more

I've been to Lido twice before and each time I had a positive experience for brunch. I went this Saturday and unfortunately, my thoughts are no longer the same. 3 stars on this review because it is a cute place and they do have good service. ZERO stars for the chicken cesar salad on the menu. Very tacky of them to offer such a bland salad and charge so much for it. They handed me a bowl full of lettuce as if they were feeding some sort of a hungry rabbit. Thankfully, I added chicken to it because if not... I would have been chewing on lettuce the whole time. Even with the addition of chicken, I left hungry. Needless to say, the portion was small and there were about 2 croutons in the salad (I think I'm being generous estimating the amount of croutons). The food is delicious and the staff won't let your glass hit empty if you've ordered mimosas. I haven't been for any other meals yet, but I would definitely make reservations here based on the strength of the brunch menu. My favorite thing to order is the short rib hash. Anyone who knows me knows I don't do eggs in any form, but I will make the best of it for this dish. The short ribs are prepared expertly and the poached eggs really do enhance the dish. The only down side here is the 2 hour limit on bottomless (and honestly, that's probably the responsible thing to do in this situation lol). Second time here and this time we came in a larger group on a weekday! I've always thought Lido is a little expensive thus the four stars, but their service is always top notch. Interior - they still got outside seating during the winter and its perfectly heated! Make sure to make a reservation during the weekend, they get busy. Service - though there were barely any customer cuz it's a random Tuesday during lunch, our server was delightful and helped us with separating the check, getting all different orders very efficiently. Taste - their winter menu is a bit small for brunch, and since i didn't want their signature French toast (which is delicious btw!), I went with the sausage omelette. And it's crazy because the first time I ate here earlier this year, the waiter I had, a different one, was so fun, kind and engaging. Gets pricey quick, solely because you WILL want 6 more rounds of cheese bread. We had two shaky tables & after some very bottomless mimosas our party of 8, had dropped 3 different glasses. As a former waitress I was embarrassed but the service was so kind & quick- they took care of us with no guilt whatsoever and replaced our table as well. After a nice evening concert in Harlem, my boyfriend and I had a hard time decIding where to eat dinner. Luckily for us, NYC Restaurant Week was going on and we had a lot of options to choose from. We settled on Lido because it was close by and the menu offered some really interesting options. Dinner was about $42 per person, wine is an extra charge. Lido feels intimate, with dimmed lights and friendly staff (but not overbearing). We were seated quickly, even without a reservation on a Saturday night. We were served bread and oil with balsamic vinegar to start. Bread was soft and delicious, wished there was more vinegar in the oil (just my preference, my boyfriend enjoyed it just fine). For our appetizer we got roasted brussels sprouts with bacon and house made ricotta. This dish was so delicious, the brussels sprouts were roasted perfectly and the ricotta was so creamy and such a nice addition. I ended up getting the salmon with lemon risotto swiss chard and hollandaise. My boyfriend got the red snapper with mashed potato and an orange reduction. Both dishes were well loved. For starters we went for the veal meatballs and garlic bread which was DELICIOUS! I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger but it was still worth it.
