LifeSpa is located inside LifeTime Fitness. This one in particular is the one at Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrencecille which is the one I usually attend to. I had free 50 LT Bucks and I decided to use them in a manicure. For those who doesn't know, LT Bucks are rewards that can be earned and stored in your LifeTime account to use on all services and select products in the LT BUCK$ store or in The Life Time Health Store. They can also be used in the LifeSpa. They're redeemed dollar for dollar, which means every LT BUCK takes $1 off your purchase. I made an appointment with Camellia, which is the only nail tech that appeared there when making the appointment, so I guess I didn't have any other option. When I arrived I was greeted and offered something to drink. I was quickly seated, and Camellia started to work on my nails. Camellia was great. Very nice, and professional lady. They offer different types of services including manicures, pedicures, hair care and massages. They. Are. PRICEY! & the results are not worth the money you pay for. I had an amazing experience !! Was greeted with a smile and offered orange infused water and a warm towel to hand sanitize with and amazing feel to my hands afterwards . I experienced a oxidizing facial that made my skin radiant . My aesthetician was very professional and the spa was sparkling clean . I'm not going to waste my time bashing this location, but will post a letter I sent to their management. It tells the story. To whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you of some unpleasant experiences I have endured at your Sugarloaf, Georgia location. The first incident occurred my second time to the gym when I was turned away at the door. I signed up for a "free, 7-day trial membership" as advertised on your website. The web specialist contacted me and scheduled an appointment for me to meet with Russ Morales. That evening I took the tour, spoke with Russ about membership, and he left me a temporary locker card and his business card. Following our meeting, I used the gym's facilities. I returned to the gym the next day and assumed the cards I was provided would allow me access for six more days of the alleged "7-day free trial." The desk attendant, however, would not grant me entry. I told him I had just met with Russ the previous day and produced his business card and my temporary locker card. He said I would need to speak with Russ personally. Upon requesting to speak with him, I was told Russ was unavailable. Agitated, I asked if there was someone else I could speak to. Again I was told I needed to speak with Russ when he was next available. So, having no other options, I was forced to leave. The following day I called Phil, the web specialist, to discuss this misunderstanding. He contacted Russ and we resolved the problem, but that I wasn't initially given the proper credentials for a "7-day free trail" was inconvenient and unsettling. I feel the advertisement is misleading and that the matter was handled unprofessionally. Despite the sour taste the trial left in my mouth, I joined the gym because of its proximity and variety of facilities. However, I have not been overly pleased with the gym thus far. This location is highly overcrowded. I am only able to cycle through workstations efficiently after 9:00 PM. Otherwise I may wait up to 15 minutes for certain machines, benches, or weights. Although, at night I must tolerate the disorder--the free weight station is out of order and dumbbells are scattered throughout the free weight area. Abandoned white towels litter the floors, machines and benches. I could overlook any of the aforementioned issues, but the lack of towels in the men's locker room is unacceptable. Last night, July 19th, I literally waited 30 minutes for clean towels. This problem is common, but new towels are usually available within ten minutes. I tried the front desk twice, the family changing room twice, and took two sauna baths before clean towels were finally provided. Several other men in the locker room were searching for towels as I had been. Two gentlemen phoned the front desk for assistance and continued to wait. I know it took 30 minutes because I began my stopwatch with my first sauna and stopped it when I received a towel. Towel supply is a bare minimum standard for a gym. I had much higher expectations for this establishment. Currently, I am considering canceling my membership. I have had hundreds of massages and get at least 2 per month currently. LifeSpa at Sugarloaf is one of the best, specifically Niki, of all I have ever had. She is very in tune with my needs whether it is injuries, tight muscles, my tight neck or whatever else. She gives me ideas for what I can do at home in between massages and looks up additional techniques for next time if something is giving me particular trouble. She is AWESOME...the best!! It's tough to get an appointment sometimes with Niki, but she is worth the wait...and worth every penny!! All of the associates working in the spa are very friendly and helpful. And the cool thing is that you do not have to be a member of Lifetime Fitness to use the spa. Yea!! read more

Alesha did my hair and did and excellent job for a reasonable price. Gabby is another lady there doing hair who's expertise is color. You could tell they care about what you were looking for and made sure You were happy with the results. There was some pricing confusion but it was resolved I the end. I am a member of LifeTime Fitness my son and I the gym is great !!! However, the salon is a different story...I had my hair done three times by a stylist there named Dee Dee....for a cut, highlight and style....Her work was good but her personality, friendlyness has much to be desired...maybe she has been pre-occupied...this time I had to have my roots done, slight trim for an event I was to attend later the same evening ..when I called for deedee she wasnt available so i was set with another stylist,Nicole and told she was excellent with color...to make a long story short it was an absolute nightmare!!! Five hours in the chair as they tried to fix my ORANGE head!!!!!!! It is the next morning and I am searching for someone that is qualified to fix my hair because I cannot go in public !!!! The details of how all this happened is not necessary just that she was not qualified...even the "trimming" she did looks like I just took the scissors and cut a few clumps out of my head !!! Worse they, deedee and nicole never took responsibility or acknowledged that a MISTAKE was made but just kept blindly saying we will try this we will try that....NEVER being aware of the TIME and that they obviously had no idea what to do !!!!!! Then they had the audacity to say...of course there is no charge"..... In the past with deedee I paid before a tip $120.00 for this and it took about one and a half hours....and tipped $20.00 on top...(maybe that wasnt enough)....This club has quality aspects and it should be safe to assume that the salon would be of the same quality....I have also noticed that there is a disorganization in the management of the salon...no one person seems to be working the desk nor is it easy for an employee to notice a waiting customer....you have to seek someone out to tell them you have arrived....as I had to do yesterday...I havent contacted management at this time...I need to concentrate on finding a salon in the area that can fix this mess but I will..... The club is great ! The salon is dangerous and unless changes are made I would stay away !!!!!! read more
