While we were excited about the purchase, the customer service since then has been extremely disappointing. Spa maintenance is complicated and expensive, and as new owners we've gone to the dealership several times hoping for guidance so we don't buy unnecessary products. Each visit has involved the same salesperson, who consistently shows no patience or willingness to help. Questions are met with short, dismissive responses that make us feel uncomfortable and discouraged from asking. Our most recent visit was the final straw. We purchased a replacement filter, only to find out later that our model year filter is discontinued and requires an adapter to fit the newer version. This was never explained to us. When we got home and realized the filter wouldn't fit, we had to make another one-hour drive back to the dealership two days later, in bad weather. My husband arrived at 5:37 p.m. (before the 6:00 p.m. closing time) and the salesperson was already warming up his car and focused on leaving. When the issue was explained, he claimed he had already provided the adapter and explained it, which is simply not true--I was present and that never happened. We no longer trust this dealership for support or service and will be taking our business elsewhere, even if it means driving farther out of state.

We ended up with a warm bath instead of a steamy hot tub, and that was only at the end of our time. It was a bit disappointing, and the first time was so much better.

This family, owned and operated, business is awesome. The guys that came out were friendly and…read moreknowledgable. They wasted no time accurately diagnosing the problem with my hot tub. They provided me with a detailed list of exactly the parts necessary to repair my unit. When the parts came in, I rescheduled an appointment, and the same guys arrived to fix the tub. At that point, they informed me that there was now a problem with a leaking pump motor. Again, they provided me with a detailed invoice. I am currently waiting on the parts to arrive. Thankfully, I was given the opportunity to speak with the owner. A first class gentleman. Turns out that one of the repair men is the owner's son. Obviouly, the companies run by an excellent business man and also father; as his son was a top-notch repairmen. There's a company closer to me (4 miles) that I didn't hire, because they told me a few things that weren't true (a fucking liar) I am much better off with the Hot Tub Outlet. Needless to say, I give them, my business, and recommendation. Do not waste time calling another hot tub company, even though they maybe closer.

Grant came out (during a snow storm!) for the initial estimate. He tested our water and explained everything clearly. I previously had our water tested by an independent lab and, even though Grant did not know about these lab results, everything he said lined up with the lab results I had. I appreciate the honesty in something that seems like it can sometimes be a shady business. Mike came out for the install. I liked that he came with the right tools for the job and clearly knew what he was doing. He made sure everything was done exactly right and explained the water softener in detail. We have been using them for salt deliveries, which have been on time and reliable. Water Boy feels like a very wholesome and positive family company, which I very much prefer over some faceless corporation with cheesy sales people.

He seems to claim several names, Jeffery Anderson at times. Probably both fake. He said that we needed a new heater. So I paid him in advance for the heater as well as for that days service call. He subsequently blew off TWO following appointments without calling to let me know why or when he would actually be back to install the heater I paid for. So on top of everything else this cost me, I lost two days pay waiting at home for him for no good reason. He surely could have picked up the phone to release me from this unnecessary waiting game but chose to leave me hanging interminably instead. All this time I had space heaters on my tub, hoping it did not freeze up which would destroy it. When he finally did show up to install the heater, I had told him in advance not to wake me up until he had the job done. When he woke me up he told me that I owed $355.00 for that days labor. I trusted it was true and paid him as I had not idea how long he had been working. Later, I checked my security cams and discovered that it took him under 30 minutes. Since when do hot tub techs make $700 per hour? Knowing that this is an unreasonable amount to pay for hot tub service I contacted the store. Charlie the owner of the store, who had previously told me that he had personally trained the technician to work for him, told me that he was not responsible for what I was charged and it was none of his business! Really? So, even though the tech was trained at the store, and sent to me by the store, they claim to be...not responsible? That about sums it up. Avoid!

I found out that they were in and out in less than 10 min and never vacuumed or brushed the walls of my pool. Their website says: Service Includes: Testing of pool water chemistry Addition of chemicals needed for water balance Skimming of pool surface Vacuuming of pool floor Alternating weeks of waterline cleaning and wall brushing Cleaning of pump and skimmer baskets Backwashing of filter as needed I let them know what happened and sent a video attachment. They offered to give me a credit for one service. They had been out over 20 times. Remember to Inspect what you expect, if you choose to hire them in the future.
