I recently relocated to Escondido. I began looking for referrals for all my needs. I was referred by a friend to Lifetime Smiles for my dental care. Upon arriving for my initial appointment, I was promptly greeted with a friendly welcome at reception. After filling out paperwork, I was informed Grant would be my hygienist and take my X-rays, and he would be with me shortly. After greeting me at reception and guiding me back to the exam room, Grant explained what the procedure would entail, and asked me if I had any concerns, health or otherwise. The X-rays were painless, and the cleaning was the most thorough I have ever received. I am on a maintenance regiment of cleaning every 3 months to maintain the health of my periodontal state, so I have been treated by many hygienists. He is by far superior. I then met with Dr. Mallakis. He was very congenial, and took the time to ask about my personal history, career, etc., and what brought me to Escondido. Then he explained what his exam would entail. He also asked me my treatment history, and asked for my concerns. Following the exam, he brought up my pictures on the monitor, and explained everything thoroughly.....what we could wait and monitor, and what treatment should be scheduled. I felt extremely comfortable with the staff and high-tech treatment at all times. The visit ended with office manager, Tammy, explaining to me the costs, what insurance would cover and what the patient costs would be. Then together we scheduled my treatment. So while visiting California from New York, my tooth broke, on Thurs. night!! Yikes!!! Friday morning at 7am, Dr. McDonald came in early to see if she could help me. She was absolutely amazing! The state of the art dentistry that is practiced in this office enabled Dr. McDonald to build and put it a PERMANENT, not temporary, crown in for me. This was done in less than a few hours and I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation. I need another tooth seen to, and rather than have it taken care of in NY, I am hoping that I can hold off until I return to Cali in late January so that Dr. McDonald can take care of it for me. I came in from another dental office which I was not happy with I had a bad tooth ache which turned out to be a Root Canal.. as soon as I called Lifetime Smiles the receptionist gave me the appointment that same day and I came in, Dr. Rabee McDonald confirmed that a root canal had to be done. I was referred to another office with Dr. Smith! He's the Best on Root canals! extremely happy with the referral :) now I'm about to get a crown done at Lifetime Smiles and excited that they use the Cerec same day crown! For years I went to another dentist who I thought was good. But Dr. McDonald and her team are absolutely fantastic! I drive a long ways to go see her and it is worth it! She has super high tech equipment which helps to detect problems before they get out of hand. Her staff are super professional and very friendly just like she is. This is a very impressive dentist office. The office itself is comfortable, attractive and more high-tech than any I have ever experienced before. Both dentists and all the staff are very personable, caring, professional and kind. They go out of their way to accommodate when you have special needs or questions. I even needed a crown once and Dr. McDonald did it the entire process in one sitting! (They even gave me a movie to watch, in a reclining chair, while she made the crown on-site). Most recently, I've was faced with different options for problem tooth and feel confident that they guided me to the best possible treatment plan. I used to not like going to the dentist. I chose Lifetime Smiles and I am so glad I did. I had my initial appointment and a regular cleaning and just had a deep cleaning. I have been to the office 3 times and it is such a welcoming environment from the moment I walk in till I leave. Everyone there is always so nice and seem to sincerely care. They remember your name and what is going on with you. Lifetime Smiles even has awesome reminders that get sent to texts or emails including newsletters and other great tips and reminders. I have been very very happy. Grant was the super awesome person who cleaned my teeth. I had a deep cleaning and hate needles not to mention getting them on my gums. Grant did such an amazing job. He took the time to do everything in such a gentle way and made my experience that much better. I have been coming here since I was a child . As soon as you walk in the front desk staff makes me feel comfortable and welcome . From there I rarely ever wait more then 15 minutes to be seen . The doctors are vary patient with me when it comes to getting my cavities taking care of I am not I fan of shots and they are always patient and help me relax . Time review is coming from someone who's extremely terrified of going to the dentist (I've had horrible experiences as a child). Recently, my fixed retainer came loose and I was forced to look for a dentist in order to get them re-applied. I used Yelp to find a local, highly reviewed dental office and came across Lifetime Smiles. I've had nothing but positive experiences at this office; from calling in to make an appointment; meeting the front desk girls (Tammy and Jayme); working with Dr. Mallakis; and my dental angel, Lindsey :) . Although, my experience was pleasant from the beginning, I had the intention of never coming back (due to my fear of dentists). I decided to stick it through to do a regular cleaning and had the pleasure of being helped by Lindsey. Lindsey took the time to ensure I was comfortable and explained exactly what she was doing throughout the whole cleaning.
