But that evening, they suddenly told me I now needed a full airbag replacement, and that it would take two more days to get the part. They said I wouldn't need to pay labor again since the area was already opened, and just asked me to pay $500 more for the airbag. When I told them I needed my car back that day, they said I could pay the full $1694.99 and come back Monday for the airbag replacement. Feeling cornered, I paid and took the car. But here's the thing -- I cleared the fault code myself at home, and the issue was completely gone. They hadn't even installed the airbag yet, and the warning light never came back. At that point, I realized I was nearly upsold for a repair I didn't need. I feel like I was pressured to pay upfront for something that wasn't necessary. This isn't how customers should be treated -- especially when we're trusting you with safety-related repairs. Be very cautious if you go here. Ask questions. Get second opinions. I wish I had.

They were kind initially and gracious to get our business, but once our car got to their facility their tone changed. We already knew we had a transmission problem, hence the reason we sought them out. But it took them FOUR days to diagnose the problem. Once they did so, they gave us an exorbitant price. After consulting, we decided to go elsewhere as their price was more than twice the amount of other companies. Of course they were upset and proceeded to charge us $495 to diagnose our car! And then told us we couldn't pick up the car until the following week! Anyhow, over the weekend we thought we'd give them another opportunity and try to get them to come up with other options. Scott was VERY rude and told us he didn't have time to waste. He did come down on price a bit and though it was still much more than our other quote, it wasn't worth it to move the vehicle since they were charging us $500. But then rude Scott insisted we pay them in full BEFORE they would do any work. I was livid! What mechanic shop insists they receive payment before completing the work?? When I attempted to discuss this with them he proceeded to tell me that he didn't believe we could afford to pay for the work so he wanted money upfront. When I shared that I will leave negative reviews online he told me to go right ahead. Do you normally insult all of your customers like that?? They had my vehicle for 10 days so I just went with it, but never again. Beware!

My insurance company wanted me to take it to a transmission specialist to see if the wreck caused any further damage. We take it to this place on a Monday and get a rental. By Wednesday they figure out the damages are not caused by my wreck and that I just need a new transmission. We tell them to do the repairs. They tell us it will be ready on Friday. Friday comes. No car. Same with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. During this time we call everyday and after complaining they say they will help us out with rental by getting it down to $20/day and then covering it since Monday. 11 days later my car is ready. My husband picks it up and when I get home I notice part of gr undercarriage is hanging off up front and part of the section which was covered by a piece of plastic is completely missing. Oh. And they didn't get our rental down the $20/day that both myself and my husband were promised. And the only thing discounted was $150 for rental. Total bill $2500 and our rental was over $450. And my damn SUV still isn't 100% back to what it was. All I want is my cars appearance back to 100% normal.

I called Milstead around 6:20 pm because the online portal did not show that the status of my service had been updated to show that the tow truck was in route or that the truck had already picked up my vehicle. I was told by a Milstead employee that their drivers were behind because of traffic and could not arrive before 7 pm. This was going to be a problem because the business my vehicle was at closed at 7 pm. The employee said that she could reschedule my service for 8 am the next day and I agreed to that. For the original service request, I spoke to a Milstead employee at 4:24 pm to confirm that they had received my request and it was confirmed. No one from Milstead contacted me to say that they were not going to be able to adhere to their arrival time. The next day, I called Milstead around 8:15 am to see if my car had been picked up and the employee said that my service had been set for 10-11 am and could not be moved to a sooner time. I let the employee know about my situation from the previous day and she said there was no documentation that my tow service was rescheduled for 8 am that day. I canceled my service with Milstead because they pushed back their arrival time twice without updating me that they would be doing so.
