    Loose meat sandwich
    Eileen D.

We eat at Lighthouse a couple times a month -- it's relaxed, has a broad menu and good service. On our most recent visit, it was less crowded than usual, which seemed to lead to initially slow service, but our server was friendly and responsive to requests. The menu ranges from pizza to burgers to sandwiches to prime rib, most of which I've tried and enjoyed. This visit I had a BLT which was huge, with lots of bacon, and came with the hottest, crispiest fries I've ever had and they were delicious! The sandwich is on three slices of toast, which for me was too much bread with not enough mayo to ease the crunch. Half a sandwich was more than enough for me. My partner in crime likes the loose meat sandwich, which was the day's special. I don't see the draw. I had a bite and it's not very seasoned hamburger on a soft hoagie roll. Instead of fries, he had a salad, which was large, fresh and delicious. His dressing of choice was Italian, which had an odd pinkish-orange color and tasted like it had been mixed with a little Dorothy Lynch, but overall was a good salad. We both were full, so we didn't have dessert this visit, but the offerings frequently sound so yummy. We've tried a banana cake and a caramel cake in the past, but neither were worth finishing as they were a little on the dry side. I can only guess that might happen in a sports bar where cake isn't usually how you might cheer a team's victory. Lighthouse has a friendly neighborhood vibe and we'll be back.

Food was even lower tier than food, however the service and the ambiance were super fun! They have a lot of TVs, so perfect place to go and watch a game. The waitress was super friendly and caring.

I ordered a martini. I told the waitress I wanted it to be a little dirty. I know it's my fault for ordering a martini in a sports bar, but I've had one there before and it was much better than this one. she failed to hear that I said a little dirty. I asked her to make another one. There's no way that I could drink that. I asked for a replacement and a side of olive juice. I got the side of olive juice in a Styrofoam cup, and see below for my martini, which had some white floating in it that looked like someone spit in my drink. The manager Katie, came over and didn't seem to think there was a problem with any of it. This is the most pathetic service I've ever received . when settling the bill I paid $20 cash, they took it upon themselves to return just dollar bills and to keep the $.23. I have been a frequent customer. I don't plan to return.

Original Review 6/18/2020 Overall it's basically just your average American bar! Been here a handful of times the past year. I'm really just giving it 4 stars for their nicely priced daily specials! Monday- 1/2 Burger $6 Tuesday- Beef Tacos $1.50 Wednesday- One Topping Large Pizza $10 Thursday- 9oz NY Steak Dinner $9.99 Friday- Chefs Choice Saturday- BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich $7.99 Sunday- Loose Meat Sandwich $8.99 My husband loves it here but he's a pretty cheap date haha!

Tonight we had soft and hard tacos. They were really tasty and filling. They have a special every Tuesday night for $1.50 tacos. You can get them hard or soft. Service was good. I did have to ask for silverware cuz they do not serve any silverware with tacos. This is a bar and grill so they have plenty of TVs to watch sports

This review has been edited since the grand opening thru Q1~ 2018. The whole neighborhood couldn't wait for Lighthouse to move in. But, it's been disappointing since the beginning & nothing has improved. The TVs do look great. But, there isn't anything up on the ceiling or walls to absorb sound so it is really loud and echo-y. Good luck answering your phone in here. Staff has a hard time hearing orders let alone a table trying to talk to each other. First experience, we called up and requested one of their specialty pizzas opening weekend, which was listed as a on the menu and a girl said 'we don't have a teriyaki pizza' - we checked the number & called back, talked to a guy this time and picked it up w/in an hour. Weird. Follow up visit w some neighbors/friends, we came in to eat and found out you cannot order 2 different sauces on a wings order - which is odd. So instead of ordering the 24 wings, we had to order 2orders of 12 to get 2 different sauces. (Y, are these pre-made??) Ok fine-our table orders wings and ....no napkins. No wet naps in the place at all but how do you at least not deliver napkins with wings? And it took an exceptionally long time to get some...just weird. Most recent visit in was on a Friday evening during the Winter Olympics. The place was not packed, but busy as 8pm should be. The Ruben is currently my menu item of choice, but fries were cold. I was the last to arrive in our group and the group already had their food and had been waiting for ketchup. Similar to the napkin situation above...how do you not deliver ketchup w/fries? A simple solution for these issues is - have caddy's on the tables w napkins and condiments...always.... Final warning - although a fairly new venue, the bathrooms seem to never be cleaned...at least not regularly. Even the guys couldn't go into the bathrooms during that last visit. We had such high hopes for this place but the manager (often found sitting at the end of the bar) clearly isn't one to contribute...or even greet people. Sadly, looking forward for the next restaurant moving in this summer & hoping for a quality place in the neighborhood. And what we thought was the manager apparently is the owner so all hope is now lost. :(

I am surprised by the overall low rating on this place. I have been here many times and been happy with my food and service. It's a loud sports bar with lots of TVs. The staff has always been above average friendly and attentive. The meals have been consistently good from the Reuben to the wings to the burgers. If you are looking to push a bunch of tables together and hang out with friends while you take in a game, you can't go wrong. Who doesn't want the bar to be a little loud while you cheer on your favorite team? Watch out for the insane hot wings! Burned my lips off but they were great!

Fried potstickers were over cooked and fried in an old oil. The filling seemed like it was pretty good but the taste of the burnt outside made the flavor hard to distinguish between. The egg rolls had the same issue, terrible quality of oil that was overcooked and the insides were just indistinguishable mush. Very gross. I couldn't eat them. I also got both a chicken pad Thai and a garlic broccoli and they were also both very disappointing. The beef quality was very poor and chewy, and they were still flavorless. Pad Thai was also very bland and tasteless, but somehow still the most tolerable thing to eat. I tried a taro bubble tea and it was very mid. There was just not one redeeming quality of the wide variety of things I got to ever want to come back here. I wasted my money and didn't eat literally any of it. Would not recommend.

I wasn't too crazy about the egg rolls as they were more like spring rolls and soggy inside. I had the drunken noodles as my entree with minimal spice and my husband had the pad Thai. The ambiance is casual, yet a little upscale with the red, black, and white color palette. The party room on the side is a great place for an event or celebration (we had a Yelp event there). The Garlic Cheese Sticks starter is heavenly. Basically a little cheese pizza (but fancier cheese) with marinara on the side for dipping. So good! The Philly Fries are another starter that's delicious and it's huge, so could almost be an entree if you get it just for yourself. Huge chunks of Philly steak with a cream cheese drizzle (that I could drink in a cup). The salad bar is also great, if you want a lighter starter. I cover mine in their homemade ranch so it's definitely no longer "light" in my case! My favorite pizza is the Parm Alfredo, with an Alfredo base, tender chicken, and grilled broccoli. I know what you're thinking, "broccoli on a pizza?!" But just trust the process, it's amazing. The best Philly sandwich is the House Steak. Huge swaths of the Philly meat, green peppers, onions, provolone and the awesome Cheez Whiz! You can't go wrong getting this classic, with 531's twist on it. We met the original owners at a Yelp event we attended, and they were so nice and genuine and obviously cared so much about their food/product and pleasing their diners. I hope they have plans to stay in the restaurant business in Omaha, because I will support any new venture they have. I so am hoping the new owners don't change too much about the menu. I will give them a chance to see their vision, obviously, but hopefully a few of my faves remain!

Surely kids and adults alike will love this restaurant! Basil's has a Happy Hour menu from 2pm-6pm everyday. $6 wine, $4 drafts, $2 off seasonal cocktails and 50% off appetizers (as of May 2026). We got the onion strings, cheese bread, and buffalo wings for appetizers. The onion strings were delicious, crispy and served piled high almost overflowing their serving plate. The wings were sweet and each of us enjoyed them. The bread had a good amount of cheese, cooked to a golden brown and cut like a pizza so you could have a little slice (or 6, whatever you like...no judgment from me!). For our pizza, we got the "All Meat" - good portion of meat, lots of cheese and good flavor. My youngest son didn't like the sauce but everyone else did. The crust was chewy and delicious. Only note was the puddle of grease underneath the pizza, but a very small negative versus a bunch of positives. To finish the meal, we tried an ice cream. One of my sons got the sundae and I tried the Dubai Chocolate ice cream - a unique flavor with enough Dubai-like flavors to fulfill the craving if you like that. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience, and I know we will be back!

The atmosphere was fine, it is in a new build in the middle of a suburban area, so it was about what i expected, it was nice and laid back. My wife ordered two of their specialty cocktails and they were both very good, I liked the queen bee the best. The marsala chicken was tender and flavored well, and came on a bed of risotto and Brussels sprouts, the sprouts were excellent and all three ingredients worked very well together.
