I know the reviews for this place aren't the best, but these really feel like a hidden gem in the Monterey area. We stayed here mainly for the price and the location. It was $524 for three days and two nights for essentially a small apartment. It wasn't right on Cannery Row, which was good because we have small kids and wanted quiet. But the aquarium, restaurants, and beaches were just a 5-minute or less drive away. We stayed in the Cottage side which are basically studio apartments. They have a kitchenette, living room area, separate bedroom, and a full bathroom. They also have a heated pool and hot tub, along with a fire pit sitting area. If you stay on the Cottage side you get a free breakfast buffet every morning! The buffet is loaded with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, breakfast burritos, oatmeal, cereal, and fresh fruits. Having the breakfast included saved us a ton of cash during our trip. You can hear the ocean from the rooms and everything, entertainment and food wise, is close by. These rooms could use some updating, but for what we needed it did just the trick. Plus my kids loved the huge jacuzzi bathtub! read more

We absolutely LOVE this amazing property! This last trip was our third time here, and frankly it keeps getting better. First, the front desk staff is incredible. We especially want to call out Diane, Lex, C.J., and Matt. They are joyous, welcoming, and are expert at making us feel like we belong there. A very personal experience because of them, so thank you! This review would not be complete without mentioning their coffee! They keep it hot in the lobby with plenty of cups, covers, utensils all day, every day. If you're coffee lovers as we are, it is a fabulous bonus. Their grab-and-go breakfast bags are adorable and enough to get you going with their coffee. Lots of "YUMS" as we first open our eyes each morning. Next, the housekeeping and maintenance people are all especially friendly. One of their housekeeping executives, Lourdes, told me how much she loves the region--and lives nearby. Finally the room we had was beautiful with a gas fireplace that can be turned on by the flip of a switch. You can get whatever you need from the front desk, towels, bottles of water, supplies, you name it. There is no daily housekeeping unless you request it, which honestly is a good thing--as it allows you to relax each morning with quiet and solitude. To summarize, we HIGHLY recommend this property. We didn't give 24 hour notice and were given clean sheets and we had to change the bed ourselves. - CJ gives very detailed and verbose instructions that result in unnecessarily long check in lines - grab and go brown paper bag breakfast is a granola bar, slightly fresh fruit and a juice box - upgraded breakfast is the same every day although there is some alternating between bacon and sausage - In-room toilets are quite short. Like a squatty potty. But better than a pit toilet! read more

They gave us a room with a gas fireplace. But it was missing the glass insert. Hmm... kinda an important piece to have. So there was an open flame gas pilot light. Loose wires exposed inches to the open flame. They had a side table placed within two feet of the open flame with an upholstered chair next to that. We weren't comfortable not having a glass insert. Besides possibly catching something on fire, we were worried about carbon monoxide poisoning. We called the front desk to tell the clerk about the missing glass. She knew it was missing. We asked for another room, but they were fully booked. She said that it's perfectly safe (to use) and the carbon monoxide alarm works. That's reassuring, NOT. The alarm is located near the ceiling, and the room has a high ceiling while our bed was within 10 feet from the fireplace. The alarm is useless to me if I'm unconscious or worse. We went to the lobby to check out. The clerk said we were charged for the room already, and she is not authorized to give us a refund. She called her manager but got no answer. She then gave us the number, to her manager, to ask for a refund. We left. The next morning, we called that number and left a message. We called again a few days later, and low and behold we were blocked. We also called our credit card company to dispute the charge. After several weeks, our credit card company was able to get us our refund. read more

Travel can be tedious. A good place to sleep can be terribly expensive while vacationing but is so important. This quaint little hotel/motel is in Pacific Grove CA. The good: nice enough accommodations. Our room faced the cemetery but it was not seen from our room. Its a smallish house of sorts with two floors; 4 rooms per floor per building. Bathroom had a skylight giving the illusion of brightness. Additionally, some rooms had gas fireplaces. Gave the room a nice glow. The bad: this property, I imagine, in its heyday was a beautiful property. It sadly needs a bit of touching up. It just looks tired. Oh, there is no AC units. It was a bit warmer than it should have been, was told to open the sliding glass door. Highlights: Staff on the property we're always pleasant and courteous. Breakfast can be a meal plan or a bag breakfast. (Bag was great!!Included 8 oz of juice, a muffin, granola or cookie bar and mandarin oranges.) Parking is tight. There is a pool and hot tub on premises but we just didn't have the time. Sights to see: Spanish moss hanging from the trees. Cemetery nearby; don't know if there's anyone of prominence "staying" there. Lighthouse very near; walking distance even. Not far from Monterey. Take a whale watch cruise; many skippers ready to accommodate your desire to see whales, seals, dolphins, otters and more. Two piers with lots of shopping or eating. Restaurants are plentiful in Pacific Grove or Monterey. Ocean has path for walking as far as you dare. Rock of remembering for John Denver. Monterey Aquarium. Its a great location and a nice place to stay. read more

The staff were so friendly but our room. Omg..there was no glass on the open flame fire place and our sheets were damp. There was gum on the floor and the walls were dirty. We couldn't get the thermostat to turn our heat off and the heat was blasting so we were boiling hot, so we called the front desk. A man came to our room and couldn't turn it off either so he called facilities and they said it was the circuit breaker and that we wouldn't have heat all night after they messed with it. We froze to death all night and tossed and turned on the pull out bed that is quite frankly not even a bed. We just slept on springs there was just a layer of material separating us from the springs! i would NOT recommend staying here! spend your hard earned cash somewhere else. first off someone tried to scam me for my cc info on our way up- be sure if you get a call from "lighthouse lodge" that it's the true number on google and not some man with an accent whose name is jeffry. next off, it's overlooking a cemetery and has quite a creepy vibe honestly. both me and my bestie had trouble sleeping both nights we were there which is not typical for us. lastly, this place was extremely filthy. i do have high standards for cleanliness but jesus even my relaxed bestie was struggling with the filth. my pillow had blood on it, the chair had blood on it, the walls and curtains were caked with dirt and some other stuff, the bedsheets were stained. it was pretty nasty. also the first night there our toilet was clogged and we called front desk about it and they sent a teenage girl with a plunger, she basically dropped it off and ran away so we had to unclog it ourselves.. not good service and they seem really understaffed or potentially they just underpay their employees to the point where they are lazy and unhelpful. read more

This place charging $400 a night for a cemetery view without warning should be embarrassing for management. You open the curtains expecting a normal hotel view and instead it looks like you checked into a funeral home. No disclosure, no warning, nothing. Just take the money and surprise the guest later. Southern California is an international destination. People from different cultures and religions stay here. Some people are very uncomfortable with this kind of view. Basic hospitality and common sense would be to mention it. Apparently profit matters more than honesty here. At $400 per night this feels like a complete rip-off. I've stayed in better and more honest hotels for half the price. This place is all about presentation online and disappointment in reality. I would not stay here again even if someone else paid for it. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else unless you enjoy expensive rooms with depressing surprises. read more

Last minute trip and was trying to find a place while driving from San Diego. I was having a hard time booking on my phone. When we got to the hotel the gentleman (maybe the manager) was very helpful and walked me through booking on my phone to save on the room. I asked for a cottage and was upgraded to the honeymoon cottage. The room was large and clean with a living room bedroom and kitchenette and dining room. Shower was huge and bathroom was clean. Two TV's which was nice for me and my husband. There were three firepits outside of our front door. A restaurant for the cottages was just steps away with a full buffet breakfast, eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, cereals, oatmeal and breads and bagels, coffee, juices and bottled water. I was told if you stay at the lodge on the other side you can upgrade to the hot breakfast for 15 dollars a room, I will say it is a good deal if you want a quick decent breakfast before exploring! I was told there is a heated pool and jacuzzi, but I had forgotten our suits, so maybe next time. The rooms sit next to an old cemetery that was very pretty, and you could see the beach from parts of the hotel. We saw plenty of wildlife deer and raccoons running around near the hotel. This place is great for going to anywhere in the Monterey area it is 5 min from cannery row, ten minutes to fisherman's wharf. All and All I was very happy with the accommodations and the location. I am certainly glad I did not read these reviews before we arrived, as it may have deterred me. Maybe because we stayed in the cottages, we had a better experience. My only complaint was the carpet in the living room area was a little dated, but if that is the only complaint I had I'm doing pretty good. I found the staff to be very friendly. Had no problems with getting extras like towels for the room. Sorry to the maid I scared by asking for towels when she didn't know i was there :) I will definitely be returning, this was my first trip to Monterey and when I go back, I will stay at this place again gladly. read more

Horrible! First off, I would like to mention that I am pregnant. We chose to stay here over the weekend for a little getaway, as we were surprising my mom for her 50th birthday with skydiving. When we arrived, the office was disgustingly dirty -- the trash can had residue all over it. From that moment, I knew if the office wasn't well cared for, the rooms likely wouldn't be either. Sure enough, when we checked in, all of our rooms faced a cemetery. The website makes this place look charming, but in reality, the rooms reeked of mold and were extremely musty. There was visible black mold on the walls, and the bathrooms were dirty with bugs everywhere. I rarely ever leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one for this place because it's truly a health hazard. I do not recommend staying here. For $300/night I recommend staying elsewhere. read more

The location is fantastic, and that's the biggest strength of this hotel. We stayed here back in 2019 and loved it--it was a special trip with my mom and grandmother, who have since passed. We returned this weekend because it was meaningful to us and part of scattering my mom's ashes at the coast. Unfortunately, the hotel itself has gone downhill. The swinging benches and pool were dirty, and the property shows noticeable neglect with chunks missing from walls, scrapes, and dings. Check-in was a mess--my husband waited nearly an hour in line, and even then our room wasn't ready because it was still being cleaned. For how expensive the stay was, the condition and experience didn't match the price. The bed was awful--I left with back pain--and without a fan or any real air circulation, the room was hot and uncomfortable. While I love that dogs are allowed, there aren't any amenities or designated spaces for them. It's sad, because I've seen the magic of this place before, and the neglect is a real bummer. On a positive note, everyone we met was kind and the little breakfast snacks were a nice touch. But overall, this stay was a disappointment, and next time we'll be looking for somewhere cleaner and more comfortable. read more

We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past several years. Our last experience did not go well and involved theft while parked on the property. The appearance of room and hotel has declined and it shows. The Cottages do not feel as warm and inviting after they removed the carpeting, and obvious repairs need to be made. The pool needs to be cleaned it had algae build up and needs to be re-plastered it's visibly overdue with cracks/stains. Customer Service could improve and be more professional. We love the continental breakfast, many options of fresh hot and cold food/beverage items available everyday, we really enjoyed it. The hotel should bring back the wine and cheese hour that they used to offer, it was wonderful and a very nice guest experience. I hope this hotel improves in their appearance and management and our family may consider returning in the future. It's in a beautiful location in Pacific Grove and is capable of a lot more in regards to improving amenities, appearance, and guest experience. read more

Really loved this place. The front desk personnel were amazing. I dealt with Diane or Diana and another gentleman. They were both extremely helpful and upbeat. They really made a great impression from beginning to end. The second-floor king lodge room was great with amazing high ceilings and beams and a balcony with a gorgeous view. The property was quiet and clean. We were able to watch deer feeding every day from the balcony. We walked to Point Pinos lighthouse and The Links @ Pacific Grove, the John Denver Memorial and Kissing Rock Viewpoint at the beach and had a beer at the Grill @ Point Pinos on the walk back. read more

This was my 2nd chance trip to the cottages as my friend swore by this place. She's been going here for years. My first trip with her had a few hiccups around immensities and room accommodations. But LOVE the location and she swore it has to be a fluke. This past weekend we stayed again and immediately upon check in we were met with accommodation issues. The refrigerator didn't work and was told by staff the owners won't replace and it's a common complaint. The handyman requested that we report it to the front desk because management doesn't listen to them. When I went to management to discuss the concerns, I was met with anything but a hospitable staff. She was rude and full of attitude and didn't care at all. We checked out early and will NEVER come back. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Please understand I NEVER complain online, period. But quietly decide to not be their customers anymore. Rotting wood, broken cabinets in the kitchen area and broken window due to rotting wood let bugs sleep with us for our 2 night stay. Highly overpriced for what was advertised. Very poor lighting in the bathroom made it hard to get in and out of a very dated shower facility. Frigerators that dont work in the cottages and when they tell you breakfast is from 6am-10am and your told at 9:30 it closes in 15 minutes, this is not okay. We were told firepits aren't working because they need to save the gas for laundry. Ive been coming here multiple times a year and am sad that I will have to find a new go to for quick weekend getaway as this is the 2nd time in 2 months, we have had issues. When we politely informed staff of the issues, they said we needed to report it to front desk as the owners dont want to invest and they wont listen to them. Well, that's thousands less they will have due to repeated problems and losing my business for years. I LOVED this place. Next day, we checked out a day early and spoke to the manager (all VERY professional) about a refund and shared our frustration. She was rude, condescending, entitled and denied a change in management (even thought ALL new staff) and left even more frustrated. We did get a refund for tonights stay. read more

I was enticed again as a return customer to stay for a two day stay during the week for a discounted rate. So for the SECOND TIME we had to call to get the fireplace lit as happened last time too. Also, we used to as of last year watch movies at night in our room. No more as they switched to Comcast!! I don't even want to share the nightmare of ordering food via DoorDash as not a part of LL. They always say "You get what you pay for" and in this case it is true. I would rather stay somewhere else knowing the "amenities" work and they are honest about things like the sporadic fireplace, no movies to watch in your room. Just know before booking that this hotel is lacking even in the basic maintenance as paint missing, snacks torn out of ice/snack area. Reading the reviews had me very nervous to stay here but it was great! The rooms look very similar to the photos, rooms were clean, nice fire place, and had a nice balcony area. Oh boy, what a shit show. Upon check in the woman in front of us was upset with the last minute room she was given and the desk clerk gave them our room ( by the firepits) We were placed in a room at the back of the resort ( we booked ours 2 months in advance) and were warned that the tree roots made the the roads hard to navigate and we may bottom out in our car.....lol...we did, twice. We were forced to park in the front of the resort and trek back to our room with all our luggage. The room was very worn and in need of some paint. The window was stuck open ( because of rot ) and the bugs got in. There was no bedding for the pull out couch and when we requested it we were told they would send it. That was on the day we arrived and 2 days later we still hadn't received any bedding. We had also requested extra towels on the second day and never received them either. There was no lighting in the shower/ tub area so showering was in the dark. The breakfast that came with room was pretty decent. The only good thing was the pool and hot tub and the sweet woman( CJ) that checked us in, (although she was forced to put us into a totally shitty room because of the Karen ahead of us at check in). My rating would be a 2, only because of CJ, the nice lady at the front desk. read more

Not only is the lady at the front desk super rude and with a bad attitude but the place is super run down, cracks on wood and doors and corroded sink. The towels were shredding at the ends...We woke up to a puddle of water on the floor from a broken refrigerator and unfortunately our suitcase got totally wet and some of our clothing got damaged. The lady at the reception gave us an attitude and refused to call the manager when I asked to speak to him, just offering his email. They gave us a 40$ discount to as they said "cover our laundry". The lady at the breakfast room was also with an attitude. No customer service. It's next to a grave yard (we did not know that) and we will never return again. read more

The lodge is adequate. It's a little run down. The room was comfortable and clean enough. All the employees were nice. It was very convenient for our group. We were with a group. The fire pit area was really nice and it was reserved for us. Hot tub needs a good scrubbing. I would stay there again. It's reasonable for the area. Close to the beach and a nice walk. read more

There is a reason why the rates are low. The rooms are clean...on arrival. They do not offer housekeeping if you stay less than 4 nights. The front desk will scold you if you ask for it. The linens and pillows are worn, and the refrigerator and microwave are in need of replacement. The fridge makes grinding noises and will keep you awake overnight. When you check in, you can see into the staff meeting room in the back, and on the whiteboard it reads: "front desk, work on 'atittude' " - and yup, that tracks. Breakfast grab n go is not great quality. The saving grace(s) are a relatively low pet fee and close proximity to Asilomar State Beach. If you basically only sleep in the room, it's ok, but in that case, rent a budget hotel. read more

If you value your time. money and cleanliness, not the place : ( I really don't like to give negative reviews, but this Inn left me no alternative. I wish I had gone on Yelp BEFORE we got there because other guests had the same issues. We paid quite a bit to be in the "Honeymoon cottage" for our anniversary and also paid a little more for a relative's room as well, since it was a special occasion. We had a window that would not close and the other missing hardware so you could not open. Numerous spots in the room in disrepair. I have allergies and when I got there I was sneezing and getting nauseous, turned out to be 2 super strong plug in scented oils that we promptly removed! Cottage was not a stand alone cottage, attached to breakfast room for guests... so we were awakened at 6am to staff talking and slamming things around, setting up for breakfast. There was an odd smell, which seemed to be from a grease receptor (?) outside one of our 2 doors. I have much more to describe, but it would be too long. Our relatives' room had bugs! and an odd smell, did not look like the pictures. The office mgr. was not sympathetic to us at all. After the fact, the mgr. did credit us PART of 1 of the 2 rooms, but did not address any of our complaints, then would not reply to any communications. Not the way to run an Inn. I can't say enough good things about this place. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. Front staff was extremely friendly. Food bags were provided when we checked in. You also have the option to go across the street and dine there for a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, eggs etc. The cemetery was peaceful. Enjoyed walking around and reading the headstones. Lots of history there! Near the ocean, you can hear the waves. Dog friendly, which is a big plus! About a block away is a great fast food restaurant. This place was renovated during the Covid period. What an amazing peaceful place to stay. The location is nice. You can hear the ocean from our room. The check in service was friendly. The room is clean, spacious, had a desk for work, a beautiful fireplace, a nice bathroom and shower, and even has an awesome little balcony. The breakfast isn't very eventful but, they do offer a nice personal, cooked to order, option for $15.00. They have coffee but no hot tea. The pool and spa look warm and cozy. We will definitely be trying those out tonight. We recommend staying here. We will definitely be returning. read more

Fireplace didn't have a gate to protect from the open flame. Also don't upgrade to the breakfast. It's not worth it. You're packed in like sardines and the food is disgusting. Both front desk people we interacted with seemed incompetent when I asked for assistance the night before he asked me to wait til the morning to be treated like I was beneath her for having these concerns. Anyone can come in through that window ! I called to talk to the manager and he refused to talk to me , receptionist said he told her to hang up on me and to call my bank ! Fantastic little lodge/cottage complex in Pacific Grove - close enough to hear the beach and far away enough from the Monterey and PG downtown that you can feel the peace and quiet of the towering trees nearby. We found this after a search online - it's a well-maintained lodge that may feel a little dated, but because the grounds are so taken care of, it doesn't feel its age. Nearby parks, a historical cemetery (not really that weird, basically feels like a park), and plenty of walking trails. They are still doing COVID precautions for room cleaning (only when you leave, which is totally OK), and their included breakfast is to-go only (fruit/muffin/juice/coffee). They have a wider menu that we didn't get to try. Parking is plentiful and easy to find. Their hot spa was under construction unfortunately, but they also have a well-maintained heated pool that was beautiful and comfortable as well. Every night they light their small gas-bonfires in the cottage area which are surrounded by cozy couches. Such a lovely place to open a bottle of wine and relax while enjoying the solitude of the area. If their prices were a bit more affordable, I think this place would have been even better - that being said, we have a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a weekend getaway or romantic date weekend. read more

We stayed one night at the end of our trip. We had ridden by here on a previous journey and we thought it looked like a sweet little place. Reviews are all over the show for this place so I was a little concerned. Check in was easy, the staff was kind and attentive. We stayed in the cottages and overlooked the property, no graveyards for us. I did see the one in question and its actually a very pretty and peaceful spot of greenery and trees, with deers feeding everywhere, not spooky in any way. We were given the run down about breakfast, bag or hot breakfast was our choice and info about the property, check out and how to get to the cottages just up the road. It is a sweet and quaint property. It is definitely in need of some updating in places but its well appointed. There was some noticeable damages, like sliding doors off the hinges, some marks on furnishings and some windows that didn't close fully. There is some marks on walls and the beautiful crown molding but it looks more like where they have tried to clean the matte paint. You can clearly see they try to keep up with the property and everything looked clean. It was the quietest place we have ever stayed which was beautiful. If your looking for quite and some room off the beaten path while still close to everything its a good spot. read more

Our king room is beautiful and very, very clean. The room is so spacious and very kept. The bathroom is also large and very clean. The location is perfect for hitting the town on foot and exploring the town of Pacific Grove. There is an amazing breakfast restaurant that is included in your rate. Really delicious food! The menu is pretty extensive and yummy choices. Lex was very helpful and kind at check in. The fire pits are really nice and keeps you warm while sipping on your adult beverages. We were in a "cabin" and other than some ants, it's a great place to stay. And even the ants stayed on one wall. Nice fire pits and other areas to sit outside. Nice furniture in the room that we moved to face the fireplace and TV. Breakfast was good with eggs and bacon or sausage, pancakes and other starches. It'll be our home base for future trips. Can't wait for our next trip. read more

We just came back from two night at Lighthouse cottages and it was lovely. The people working were so nice and kind especially with my toddler! We had a king cottage junior suite. The room was spacious (a little dated) but it was comfy and great. The jetted tub was a big hit with my toddler and the night time fire pits were lovely. The chorizo eggs on sunday morning breakfast also hit the spot! They also had pancakes and so much coffee it was a great way to start the day! Our room had a microwave and mini fridge and if we needed anything (like more lotion etc) the office was super quick to grab it. The cottages are only about two blocks from the tide pools and a short walk to some food (Lucy's) overall great place to stay! read more

Ok so this is probably #2 on our worst places we have stayed in the area!! First let me say it is right next to a cemetery so if you are creeped out about that find someplace else to stay. I found it peaceful and quiet with deer and a few fawns munching away on the grasses. It is close to the Point Pinos Lighthouse and Monarch Butterfly Grove yet it is Nov-Feb for the migratory Monarchs to arrive. A revamp of their website needs to be done with discrepancies in pictures and description. When I called and made the reservation I was told about a continental breakfast & you can purchase a breakfast for $15, well the rules are a little sticky on that and you have to walk across the street to the cottages for that with only like an hour and half window to order breakfast!! Also the fire pits at the cottages but no dogs allowed in the cottage side & we travel with our babies and you can't leave them unattended in the room We arrive the lady tells me about the breakfast and says no it's a "grab n' go" but they do have coffee also in the office. I get the keys and make our way to the farthest building enter the room and looks good yet as I start looking around cleaning is sketchy all around the baseboards dead bugs & spiders on the ceiling- 1 above the tv & 1 above the doorway. There is about a 1/4 crack when the door closes and there is a pretty good draft that blows through plus I'm sure more bugs and there are rodent boxes all around the property which is good yet bad Bathroom is a little tight with the toilet behind the door - weird setup. Was told the plumbing was reversed but it was only in the shower not the bathroom sink!! So I wasted water to find out differently. Barely any room to actually enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace with the way the beds are placed but it's a good size room. Now here is my most worst part- if you are allowing dogs and talk about how you can just open the slider for them to go potty but then don't clear the foxtails which are VERY dangerous for the dogs and then in the 3 nights we were there NOTHING is done about it after you have told the office about it Upon checking out absolutely no conversation about if we liked our stay - just would you like a printed invoice- yes I would .... Most reviews are 1 or 5; I want to try offer a more balanced report. Booked here on a whim thru Hotels.com Reviews at Google and Hotels.com were generally positive; reviews on Yelp generally negative. We had a spacious, clean room. No cobwebs or mold though there were scuffs in the wall and furniture. Bathroom worked great, hot water, plenty of towels. Thermostat didn't seem to control anything but was on a program that kept the room at a comfortable temperature at all times. Easy check in and out process with no surprise fees. Location is excellent. Walking distance to the beach, downtown Pacific Grove. We didn't get a chance to check out amenities but the fire pit was nice. For $100 / night this was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend. read more

The website sold me. The outside was beautiful... the inside, however. OOF. When paying $1000 for three nights, I would expect a LOT MORE. The view of the cemetery was pretty neat, if you're into that sort of thing. And you can see the ocean from some rooms. However, the following was super disappointing for the amount being charged per night: - beds are hard as a rock - walls are filthy, need to be cleaned ASAP - shower was very dirty - WIFI was really difficult, keeps signing out, weak signal - TV barely worked -- screen so dark you can't see much - Balcony had rotten wood which caused a trip hazard - Spider webs were both inside and outside the room, had to clean window sills of spider webs before settling into the room. - Paint chipping off the walls - Toilet moved back and forth - Carpets show visible stains - Front desk staff didn't have rooms ready at time of check-in. Asked us to come back later despite us having a reservation for several days. - Pool area was closed, which also meant the continental breakfast shown on the website was no longer an option. I'm certain we could have gotten a room for much cheaper elsewhere. I thought this was going to be a comfortable and clean spot for a romantic getaway, but it was just kinda gross. read more
