Went for pizza, and left with a big smile and a laugh. Our 9 year old ordered the basic small pepperoni, and it came out with mushrooms. We started to eat it anyway because we were all so hungry, and he tried to simply pick the mushrooms off. Despite the fact hat we were already eating it, our server, Leann, made arrangements for us to leave with a second fresh pepperoni pizza on the house. But, as it was being brought to the table, literally three steps away, the gentleman bringing it to us dropped it. So, they went back and made us a third pizza. I'm on vacation with a group of ten people,we seat ourselves and kids sat in a booth,adults at a table. First of all $2 for a water?? Most waters at restaurants are free. We got breadsticks. I was expecting a decently sized stick. But, we got tiny little logs that taste like absolutely nothing. I got cheese pizza, but sadly, it didn't taste very good. My cousin spit hers out when she tried to eat it. The crust isn't too good but it's better than the rest of the pizza. The place was pretty dirty. There was sticky things on the walls, and the fireplace was covered in dust. The bottled water tasted better than the pizza. The service was alright,the waitress was very nice. But it is so overpriced and it was really a waste. Oh and-ice is 75 cents! FOR ICE!!!! I don't think We will be coming here next year. Or the next. Or the one after that! Wish I would have looked up the star rating on this place before trying it. The wings were chewy, the pizza was average at best and the serve your self $2.75 soda machine served flat soda. Ate there today. The restaurant was completely empty. That should've been a red flag, but I ignored it because my kids were starving after being in the car for hours. Let me start by saying the fact that they charge for tap water ($2) is ridiculous. I can understand charging like $.50 because you need to recover the cost of the cup but seriously.... Aside from that, their parking lot has a pretty big ridge -watch out if you decide to pull in. There were pipes dripping from the ceiling of the women's bathroom, and no soap, which I'm pretty sure is a health code violation. I've been coming to Tybee all my life and never tried this pizza place. I'm so glad I decided to stop in because the pizza was amazing and the service was so good. The crust was so fluffy and it was all so fresh. There was a very nice lady named Vicki that helped up out. She was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. My waitress was so funny! Not in the sense of actually having a sense of humor, but in the sense that I actually laughed out loud at how incompetent she was. They have a very limited lunch special which consists of your choice of a pizza slice, spaghetti, or a bbq sandwich plus a drink. I ordered the BBQ sandwich and a root beer. She threw me a cup and told me the drink machine was inconveniently located on the other side of this sad excuse of a restaurant. After patiently waiting for over 15 minutes and anticipating my sandwich, my waitress finally came with my food! Only guess what? It wasn't my food. It was a slice of fresh pepperoni pizza! And by fresh I mean FRESH out of the damn refrigerator. That slice was as cold as ice. What more can I do but just wish everyone that works there the best of luck. read more

The pizza was really nasty and dry . I felt that the wait was too long and they charged me for a cup of ice . I asked for green and red pepper pizza , and they waited until the pizza was made to tell me they didn't have any red peppers . And didn't give me the chance to choose something else instead. Nothing special. Ordered pickup by phone. Walked in the place was deserted. Guy in front of me came in the same time I did and we waited about 5 minutes before some kid who looked/sounded like he was high came out to the counter. Kind of pricey for what you get. Nice people. Poor service . Other customers came ordered, finished their meal and left before there was concern about my order. Tomato in salad was bad. The tomato gagged my daughter. Salad was frozen and tomato had turned. How does a frozen tomato go bad? New waiter brought a totally different salad than i ordered after they tried to fix it. Then tried to charge me for original salad after they screwed up by bringing a new different salad. Pizza was thin like a piece of paper. Deluxe had a nice flavor, just too thin. Way to thin. The food was okay. The service was wierd. The sign said to "wait for hostess." We were given menus and told to seat ourselves. So we did, seemingly forgotten for 15 minutes, hostess came by and ask us if we had been served...no. 5 minutes later a waitress finally came to take our drink order and ask us if we needed more time. Finally, we were brought some foam cups and was told the drinks were self-serve. We recieved our calzones and less than halfway through our meal we recieved our check. Bad timing and bad service. Delivery took over two hours, which at first we passed off as them being busy, but after two and a half hours was just unfortunate. Would not recommend. We had a party of 7 ordered 3 pizzas and 4 sandwiches. Food took an hour and half to arrive. Other tables were in the same predicament. Long wait and poor service. Had to flag down staff to check on status of food or to remind them of what we were still waiting on. Never got an explanation of what was causing the delay. Our orders would come out 1 or 2 at a time and then would be asked what we were still waiting on. Finally just got our last 2 items to go. From prior reviews they also had no ice in addition to no cheeseburgers. Finally after standing in line to pay, politely offered some feedback that had staff been proactive with keeping customers aware of the delays people might not have been so angry. Instead of just acknowledging the review cashier got defensive and rude. We come to Tybee about 6 to 7 times a year and will not be going to this place again. read more

Ordered a pizza tonight that we created ourselves. Ordered an XL pizza (8 slices) with pepperoni, onions, tomato, green peppers, and mushrooms. Unfortunately the pizza did not contain mushrooms, stuck to the box, was greasy, and super thin. Worst pizza we've ever had. Would have been better off getting a frozen pizza from the grocery store and adding fresh veggies to it. Maybe this is how Georgia pizza is? Whilst swimming in our hotel pool, I was eavesdropping on someone who was talking about where they ordered pizza from. They raved about lighthouse. That night we ordered one and though it was kind of expensive, the first pie was really quite yummy. Visiting from New York, our expectations were pretty low that we would dig the pizza in Georgia. We did that first time, but unfortunately we found quickly with our second order that they are completely inconsistent, and probably just lucked out the first time. The second pie had a much thicker crust, it was too tough and chewy, it was over cooked. Overall it sucked. I don't think I'd ever take a stab at ordering there again if I'm ever on Tybee Island again. read more

Just wasted $21's today on a small cheese pizza (6 pieces), a "large" salad and 2 drinks. First the place is a dump. Unlike the original site, which as I posted is forgivable due the beach location, this place is really broken down. Two tables were out of commission. No AC in the exterior table areas. But just like the original Lighthouse, NO WATER unless you buy a small bottle for $2!! This alone warrants ZERO stars! We live in a day and age of choice; how can you force people to buy water but if you buy a cup for soda you can drink as much as you want!?? Get with the program Lighthouse!! The salad arrived; smallest 'large' salad ever; my wife had to pick out the rotten black spinach that was slimy to the point she wouldnt touch what was left; pizza came, yah, not bad tasting...but the total experience was so bad, I couldnt help but hope the place would be closed ASAP just so other unsuspecting pizza lovers wouldnt' get ripped off like we did. Ordered a 3 item Calzone which should have included 3 toppings (regular or premium). Asked for water and was told they charge for TAP water. I cannot remember the last place that I ate at that charged for TAP water. I opted for a soda even though I rarely ever drink it. The calzone came out all flat and watery inside, and missing one of my toppings. I realized this after eating about 1/4 of it and figured I would just point it out when the waitress came back. She didn't come back until I only had 1/4 left to go and offered to "go get me some green peppers" -- For my 3/4 eaten Calzone? I asked that $1 be deducted from the check to make up for the screwed up order. She didn't respond to my $1 request, instead saying she would make sure I was not charged for the topping. When I got my check, not only was I charged full price, but an additional $.89 for Ricotta cheese. I told them I wanted the $.89 taken off and an additional $1 for the missing topping. The check came back with the $.89 taken off and the girl (not my waitress) make it sound like she was doing me a favor. I directed her to the menu showing very clearly that the premium toppings were included in the 3 free toppings. She flat out refused to reduce my check because my missing topping was one of the "free toppings." Wtith her logic, if someone orders a supreme pizza and gets just cheese, they should pay full price. It is common courtesy in a business to offer some type of discount if the order is screwed up. I asked her to call her manager to approve the $1 and she again refused. I threatened not to pay my check because I didn't get what I paid for and she threatened to call the cops. I asked if she really wanted to lose a customer over a $1 discount for a missing topping, and she said she didn't care. Based on several other reviews I see here, I won't be missing out on anything.
